《Keeping It Halal》Mom Gone Wrong

-That's Amani btw (Marwan's cousin that wants to marry him)
"Salam Marwan." Salam Marwan. Salam Marwan; that's ALL she had to say. "Mama I-I-I thought you were DEAD! How could you?!" I asked. "Well first of all, you would never answer your phone to my calls." Said a girl, coming out of the kitchen, handing me a cup of juice. "Hi Marwan." It was Kareema😳. What? What is she doing here?! Mama, Baba, Kareema and her Mom were there. "I mean, I HAD to get your attention SOMEWAY honey." Mama said. "And what is SHE doing here?" Mama, Kareema's mom and Kareema said. "Babe, thanks for the earings by the way." Kareema said, reffering to the earings I bought her last year.
I just stood there, in shock. "Babe, thanks for the earings by the way." Kareema said. Babe? What does he mean by 'Babe?!' "Marwan y-y-you could've told m-me. I thought you and I; That me and you...We were," I stood there in shock, a mix of emotions: Sadness, anger, confusion. I didn't even let him answer. I ran out and hopped into my car. "Mariam! Mariam it's not like that! Those were from last year Wallah I wouldn't do that t-" "Leave me ALONE Marwan. JUST when I thought I found the right guy" I interupted. I raised my hand to slap him but I couldn't. I JUST couldn't. I drove away. Drove, drove and drove. And stopped at my dorm, where Dalia was asleep and Mo left. But KAREEMA? He'd look at KAREEMA as the mother of his kids?! His wife?! SOUL MATE?!
"Kareema, I just want you to know that you mean NOTHING to me. And I will NEVER, EVER marry you." I said. "Not infront of them." Mama said softly. "No. It's HIS choice. We shouldn't have forced him; YOU, Lushi shouldn't have." Baba said. I ran upstairs to my room. I lost the love of my life....Mariam. "Ayman told me everything; of your love for her." Baba said. "Wait, he did? What do I do NOW though?!" I said. "Go. Go to her, right her a note. Use flowers." Baba said. "Now?" I asked. "No. Let her cool down first. Now you get some rest, while I talk to your Mom. By the way, I had nothing to do with 'your mom dying' because I had no idea." Baba said. "Goodnight." I said, opening the door and kissing his fore head and giving him a hug. I flopped on my bed and read Surat Alrahman (A chapter in the Quran called The Merciful). "Alrahman, Alamel Quran, Khalak Al Insaan," Started Sheikh Mishary Al Afasy. He was the guy I was listening to on my airpods, reciting the Quran. That part of the chapter is reffering to God. It means, The Merciful, He Tought The Quran, He Created Man Kind.

I lied. To my son. To my husband. And most importantly, I lied just to get my son home to meet his future wife that I chose, not him. I messed up. As a wife, as a mother and as a Muslim. I ruffled my hair and cried. I slopped on the couch and cried. I cried and cried until there were no tears left to cry. Ya Allah, please forgive me. I just wanted to make a good life for Marwan because it was filled with anger. But the only anger there was me. "You messed up. Really bad." Rami, my husband said. I just kept crying. "But-Bu-But now m-my son will g-g-go away from m-m-m-me!" I yelled. Rami came by my side. "I only haven't divorces you yet because of OUR SON. But I'm done with you." Rami said. He ran upstairs to our room. This is too stressing for me! How is it MY fault😤?! I DID NOTHING!
*THE NEXT MORNING*
I woke up to Dalia patting my back to wake me up. "Marwan called me and he gave her those earings when they were together and wanted to get married! He gave them to Kareema a year ago! Mariam you gotta talk to him." Dalia said. I woke up and walked to the washroom. "If he talks to me, then I'll forgive him. But right now, I kinda wanna keep my distance from him." I explained. "It's your choice and I agree with you. But cool down, and THEN talk to him. None of you were wrong, it's just a misunderstanding." Dalia said. Just then the doorbell rang. Dalia went and got it, while I dressed into this:
(White Hijab)
(Shirt tucked in)
I put a little bit of nude lipgloss and some blush. Oh and fun fact for ppl that don't know, did you know that people with a darker complection can wear blush that is visable. Yea, cool right? Not meant to be a racist comment, but as a person with a darker complection, I tried it and I SLAYED!"Mariam! Mariam come here Mo came!" Dalia yelled from the kitchen. I walked over to the living room and tripped, falling into a muscular guys lap. "Oh my God I'm so; YOU!" I exclaimed. It was Marwan. We just stared at eachother for a good 3 seconds and then I got off his lap and appologized. "It's fine. It's an accident. I mean, out of ALL the girls, the prettiest one ended up falling on me." He chuckled. That's so sweet☺️. "Awwwww Muffin." Mo and Dalia said together asf it was planned. "Look, Mariam I'm sorry, kay? It was-" "I get it. Dalia explained. Now, can I be your bae again?" I interupted, pouting. "You were ALWAYS my bae!" Marwan said. I gave him a quick hug, and the four of us spent the rest of the morning sipping smoothies that Dalia made and watching Lost In Space on Netflix.

Truth Seeker [OLD VERSION]
The rewrite for this story has been posted as Mark of Time.
8 216Sleeping Through the Apocalypse
Our 'valiant hero' Mark just finished a 72-hour VRMMO marathon and passed out as soon as he reached his goal. His rest is disturbed by patch notes, but he sleeps as the world he knows ends, and a terrifying game begins. Join Mark as he discovers the wonders and horrors of the new world that awaits him. This is 'realistic' and chaotic. There is cursing and gore. I do my best to imagine how a person would actually handle the apocalypse, and the answer is "not well."
