《Keeping It Halal》Guilt

Yup, it's me, Marwan. Right now, I'm laying down on my bed on the T.V. I'm really interested in politics so I decided to watch the U.S elections. I've always wished I could be the first Muslim president of the US....but I can't- Canadian citizen. And I probably can't, since my record....Let's just say that I'm not the best Muslim you've ever seen...I don't do drugs or anything, I just....been in affairs with girls, I guess. Well I'm not a "Good Guy" but not a "Bad Guy." But I've also been arrested once...My friends and I were doing Graffiti. And I smoked...I know it isn't good for your health but I just did because everyone else was..I wanted to fit in. I don't do any of that anymore though. Alhamdullallah. I dated this girl named Kareema before; she knew Mariam and was rude to her, so I left her. I shouldn't have dated her though.
It's haram....We kissed before; once. On the cheek though. But I shouldn't have. I wanted to tell Mariam about it...But I couldn't. Because, I liked her...LOVED actually.
"Marwan! Get you butt down here right now!" My cousin, Amani shouted. All of my 10 cousins, on my Dad's side were over and my Mom is trying to get Amani and I married. But Ide like her! She's a delusional lunatic! I had to get to Mariam...And fast. I turned my phone on and texted Dalia on Snapchat.
Dalia:
Me: hey Dalia is Mariam w u?
Dalia: WHAT DID U DO TO HER?!
Me: jus listen! Promise not 2 tell kk?
Dalia: NO
Me: PLZZZZZ :(
Dalia: fine what is it?
Me: I LUV her! Sm n I didn't mean what I said....I was just in a mood

Dalia: Y???
Me: my mom wants me 2 marry my lunatic delusional cousin, AMANI :(
Me: SHE IS CRAZY!
Dalia: k NO backbiting in Islam....but she is leaving 2 z airport in a hr
Me: WHAAA?! K Imma go 2 her house! Plzzzzz tt her!
Dalia: Y ME????
Dalia: Fineeeeeeeee ;(
I chuckled to myself and headed downstairs.
"Alsalaamualakum." I said. "Hi Marwan." Amani said, waving flirtatiously. Oh God. I just flushed a little. 😳SHE MAKES ME UNCOMFORTABLE😳!!! "Oh kay....I gotta go." I said, grabbing my leather jacket (yes, it's real). 😂..."No Habibi. We have guests." Mama said, kindly. Wow THAT'S a first. "Let him." Baba said. He knew why I was going. I told him everything. Well, he sorta figured out. Ahhhh it is FUN being the only child!!!
Right now, Dalia and I were sitting on my bed going through a bunch of Tik Toks. "Hey let's make one. The 'Reel It Out' one! I LOVE it!" Dalia stated. I felt she was hiding something from me because she was texting someone for SO long and then I asked, "Wassup? Why you so focused on your phone?" And she just said, "Nothing. Just texting a friend." I got up and we started making the Tik Tok when we were interrupted by the door. I got up to get it, but Dalia pushed me down. "Sit your butt down." She said. "I hate your vulgarity, but fine." I said laughing. She pouted then returned the laugh. Oh I lived Dalia so much! Baba left the house for us. He was out with some friends before we leave. It's like 9pm rn.
I opened the door, knowing who it was. Marwan😑. I REALLY wasn't in the mood to tt him. But, he came with clean and good intentions. "Hey," He said shyly. "You're late, Prince Charming." I said, making a bored face. I shut the door but he opened it back. Wow, Mariam wasn't wrong, he IS strong; although he looks like the weakest link. "Look, I JUST want to talk." He huffed. It was cold, so I let him in. I stayed in the kitchen and ate a cookie (fine a few🤡). He pointed upstairs with a questioning look and I nodded in the direction of the stairs. Oh what a dork. He'll get eaten alive.😏

Ok, here I go. I haven't been in this house since forever. Years...10 years. Mariam and I were best friends but then my mom said we couldn't be. So instead of telling her face to face, I decided to just be rude to her...Ya Allah...Save me from myslef. I walked across from her room, my back facing her gray door. I looked at a picture of her and I...They..they kept it? SHE kept it? But I...after all I've done to her...Wow, I really am a Jerk. "Can I help you?" Mariam asked, facing me. She wasn't wearing her Hijab. I could see her beautiful curly wavy black hair, dangling down. Some people believe that it isn't Haram to not wear Hijab in front of boy cousins. And our family believes that it's ok; although you could marry them. I haven't seen her hair in 10 years...that's because we haven't interacted many times after those ten years...I was seven. And she was six and a half...wow. Memories."Mariam I; I need a talk to you." I said, my voice breaking. I had to tell her...About everything.
After I told her about my past and Kareema and smoking and my Mom and being rude to her and- YOU GET THE POINT!🙂...Well she was surprised....
I didn't know about all this...And he asks me to forgive him?! Well, the Prophet said that, "There is nothing better than saying you're sorry." I didn't know though. "Wait...Why did you come here?" I asked him. "I um...Well I had to apologize..." He said. "I forgive you." I said. He beamed immediately. I gave him a hug and then Dalia came in and said, "Marwan and Mariam sittin' in a tree, K.I.S-" "Aye no! Dalian we ain't dating!" He said, shutting her up. "Yea we're just friends." I said to her. "Yea. Just friends." He repeated after me.
-Awwwww I wish they could be more! They'd make such a cute couple!❤❤❤😢😢😢

B's Grand Adventure
It has been two hundred years since the first contact with aliens from the planet Proxima Centauri. It has been about one hundred and ninety-eight since the Centurians and humans accidentally connected their computer systems together. That same year Centurian virus took over almost all of humanity's computers. This was right about the time a huge solar flare knocked out all communication on Earth. Some time between then and now secrets were revealed, like secret societies, where the nukes were being hidden, and, most importantly, that there were Fae, magic beings, living among humanity all this time. The Proxima Centurians eventually came to the now weakened Earth to 'check on' humanity about fifty years ago. Some say they are here to colonize what's left of the city-states and raiders alike. But now we focus on a young man who has earned the ire of a Centurian colony and a powerful half-Fae named Jormungrand. This young man has chosen the name for himself as B. Pillars Between Us
It started with the dent left by the Forest Sprite; A small crack in the ice that encased his memories. Curtis knew that something was off, realizing that he wasn’t who he thought he was and— perhaps Ellis wasn’t the one meant for him. --It's a fantasy novel set in a world where people inhabit on pillars-- (think of m*necaft sky block, you'll get what I mean) -- then give it a hint of action, mystery and (twisted) romance-- and it's influenced by Japanese fantasy light novels (cuz I read a lot of em'). But I'm sure it's a weird one cuz the style of writing isn't the Japanese to English translated kind of style but rather the orthodox English novel kind of writing (which includes a bunch of errors and broken English thanks to me!). In any case, if you're up for it, just beware the story starts out pretty slow.. I mean-- back then, I was still inexperienced ok! I'm gettin' better along the way, Hmmph!

The Hunt
Cecily's blade swung, hitting its mark as always. The man's arm fell to the cold grass of the prison with a familiar thud. He let out a blood curdling scream. A warning to the rest. Stay away, the Hunter is here. That's the name they'd given her, the Hunter. After she cut off the man who tried to rape hers masculinity, they stayed away. She'd made it clear anyone who tried to touch her would be hunted and slaughtered. Cecily kneeled down, pushing the man's face into the dirt so she could use his back as a seat while she trifled through his belongings. "You're hurting my ears," she told him, no remorse in her voice. "Quiet down before I really do kill you."The man but his lip, well aware that she wasn't lying. Sobs shook him, making for an uncomfortable seat. She, however, didn't particularly feel the beed to kill him. It happened, not often, but it did. "Oh, hush up," she hissed, taking out a bag of rations with her metal hand, "it doesn't hurt that bad."With her good, human hand, she dropped the plastic bag of food into her own bag. She pushed up, off the man back. As she was about to walk away, bag slung over her shoulder, brushing against her autumn colored braid, she turned back to him. "Consider yourself lucky," she said, no hatred in her voice, there never was. "Consider yourself lucky that you didn't do anything stupid. And even luckier if one of the scum bagged criminals in here feel a little light in their hearts and help you. Consider yourself luckier if you die there."With that, her old black and white Nike sneakers carried her off into the brush of the huge prison.
