《Keeping His Secret》Teenage bullshit.

We kissed for approximately ten heavenly seconds. His lips were soft and warm, they seemed to fit mine perfectly. But then he pulled back.

"What the fuck?" He asked with surprise. He brought his fingers to his lips and felt the softness of them for himself.

I could feel a blush creeping into my face from the sting of his rejection but he just looked confused.

"I wanted you to stop talking and quit thinking." I admitted shyly.

"So you kissed me?" He pinched his lower lip between his fingers and tugged gently, looking down at my parted lips. His breathing increased and a small 'V' appeared in the centre of his forehead.

"I'm sor—" he pulled my body close to his and crashed his lips down onto mine greedily. His strong hands found my hair, coiling it up and holding it back as he deepened the kiss, pushing his tongue into my mouth.

It felt like a meteor shower was erupting from within, beautiful heated sparks flying everywhere in an uncontrollable way. The feelings were unique and magical like shooting stars travelling through a galaxy. Nobody has ever kissed me quite like Noah did. A million thoughts became condensed into one lustful moment between us.

It was steeped in passion, hunger and greed. I never wanted to break free from his lips and the hair grab just drove me utterly insane. In that moment of pure desire everything was blurred in my mind, like an hallucination, one only capable of being thought up inside my own fantasies. But through the fog there was one thing I knew for certain - Noah Scott knew how to kiss.

"No, uh, uh." He stepped back too abruptly, grabbing his own lips again. I panted, exhaling out through my swollen lips. They felt tender now and I knew they would look a shade of darker pink in colour. "I'm not doing this." He told me.

"Not doing what?" I asked, sounding a little hurt in the hopes that he would kiss me better.

"This teenage bullshit... I can't get involved in this." He stepped far back, putting distance between us. My heart hurt and I didn't know what to say.

"Noah..." I tried to reach out but he kept backing up like I was a demon out to get him.

"I gotta go but please just don't talk to Abbey, or the rest of them." He turned for the door, tripping over the leg of the gym bench but shaking it off and walking out with haste. I placed my hands over my lips, still warm and tender from the friction of his as I watched him run away from our heated moment.

He managed to avoid me for the rest of the day but chemistry was the last lesson and I knew he was in my class so I made a Pitt stop at the bathrooms and made sure my hair still looked in place. Then I chastised myself for making an effort when he was clearly too scared to be interested.

"There she is!" Joel cheered as I walked through the door, he moved a pile of papers aside and tapped on the chair next to him. My eyes wandered the room and settled on Noah. I could have sworn he blushed slightly and then looked away, slipping his earphones in and staring down at his phone. I smiled politely at Joel and took a seat next to him.

"Mia you must come hang out at the underground boxing ring tomorrow night! It will be a laugh, have a few drinks, let loose!" He laughed and the fiddled with the gas tap that the Bunsen burners connected to. Deeply inhaling the putrid smell of gas that lingered in the air.

"Isn't that illegal?" I asked skeptically.

"That's what makes it fun, princess." I rolled my eyes at the ridiculous nickname.

"Fine."

The chem teacher slapped a stack of sheets down on my desk and I looked at them with question. "Hand them out." He ordered me and with a sigh I stood to my feet clutching the stack and handing one to each and every person.

Only once I was on my feet I found it to be a good excuse to interact with Noah. He had his eyes buried inside his phone and his ears closed off by his earphones. I snuck up behind him and dropped a sheet on his desk.

He sat up straight and looked at me, startled by the sudden interaction. I looked down at his phone to see the video that he was so clearly mesmerised with. It was a YouTube tutorial video on 'Elsa hair.' My eyebrows darted to the ceiling and a knowing smile crossed my lips.

"Shut up" He teased, swiping up from the bottom of the screen to remove the video and then smiled shyly at me, shaking his head.

"I didn't say anything." I muttered with a hidden smile.

"Noah Scott, did you just say something?" Our chemistry teacher asked with complete interest like he was witnessing or responsible for a breakthrough moment. The whole class turned to face Noah and he bent forward over his desk, resting his hand over his forehead to hide his face. Very barely he then shook his head to indicate 'no.' He played the broken trauma card well, I must admit.

I returned to my seat and tried to carry on with the lesson but with Noah sat across the room from me it was hard to concentrate. I felt this whole tension was between us and I could feel a strong magnetic pull. Like I was destined to just look at him. I told myself not to but when it got too hard to resist I stole a glance.

He was leaning over his work, deep in thought. His warm brown hair flopped over his face and it seemed to be annoying him because every now and again he would rapidly move his head to flick it away. I could see his little pink lips moving slowly as he read off his paper silently and he lightly tapped his pencil against his other hand whenever he was thinking about what to write next.

Everything about him was sweet, apart from his attitude sometimes but then again I had gotten quite used to the ups and downs of our conversations and come to actually enjoy sparing with him.

My heart fluttered when he looked up and glanced in my direction. I was about to quickly move my eyes away and pretend that I wasn't looking but a slow smile spread across his lips and his eyes twinkled golden in the sunlight like he was the pot waiting to be collected at the end of the rainbow. I smiled back, admiring his beauty shamelessly from afar.

I loved how perfect his smile was, he didn't smile often so when he did it almost always looked shy and I found that so endearing.

"Mia, hello?" I pulled my attention away from Noah and planted it back on Joel.

"What?" I asked. He looked through me, gazing towards Noah and then gave me a certain look, like he knew exactly what was going on. I turned back to Noah to see if he was still looking but he was back to writing in his textbook.

"What time is your curfew?" Joel asked.

"I don't have curfew, I was raised by nannies. Now I just live with my mom and she has no clue how to parent. I turn up home when I turn up home. If I'm not going home I'll text her." Joel burst out laughing, interrupting the quiet classroom and I squirmed in my seat knowing Noah was watching.

"Raised by nannies." Joel squeezed out through his laughter. I could feel my face heating up. "That is so perfect princess." He continued laughing and I swatted his chest.

"Stop!" I giggled.

"Joel, Mia" the teacher shouted, as if we didn't need anymore attention brought to us. We stopped laughing and slowly I stole another glance at Noah.

He was looking at me, chewing his lower lip nervously. I offered him a small closed mouth smile for reassurance and he smiled back, offering me one that didn't meet his eyes. One without surety.
