《Save Me Kuro (Kuro X Reader)》-5-

I haven't seen Nanami since yesterday night. I've been texting and calling her, but she doesn't answer me. I'm honestly getting frustrated because I don't know if she's okay.
(8:47 am)
(11:33 am)
(3:45 pm)
(4:15pm)
(4:53 pm)
All of a sudden I got a text from her. I was happy that she told me she was at Izumy's house, but at the same time, I felt a bit hurt. Why is she not talking to me? I just don't understand. Maybe it's from last night and she's still a little shook. I guess I'll have to just talk to her when she gets home. I could go to Izumy's, but I'll give her some space since she's avoiding me right now.
~
"I don't understand her sometimes..." I sigh.
"What's wrong?" Kuro asks with his eyes glued to the Tv.
I hesitate before answering, "It's Nanami. She seems to be avoiding me." He turns his head to me. I'm laying down on the couch with my arm over my forehead. I glance at him and then sit up.
"It's fine Kuro, no need to get all concerned," I say with a big grin. His face becomes a bit pink from my words. He quickly turns his head and says, "What a pain...I wasn't concerned."
I stand up and start heading for the kitchen, "Sure thing pal." I hear him groan in annoyance from my comment. I open the pantry and take out two cups of ramen, I pop one in the microwave and wait.
I grab two forks and stick one of them into a cup of noodles and the other in another. I walk back into the living room and hand Kuro one of the cups, "Here." He takes the cup out of my grasp and starts to slurp up the noodles. I stand there and stare at him with that did you not just thank me face.

I clear my throat and say, "Where's your gratitude, Kuro," sharply. There was a short pause and then he finally answers, "Thanks...(Y/n)..." My eyes completely light up from his adorableness and also because he said my name for the first time! I quickly sit my cup down on the coffee table and hug him from behind.
"Awe Kuro~" I feel his body tense. "You finally said my name!" I state as I squeeze him tighter.
"Could you let go of me," Kuro says bluntly.
"Oh! Sorry!" I sheepishly let go of him. I could tell he was a little flustered by my gestures. It honestly made me laugh inside. When he's confused or at the slightest bit grateful, it completely throws you off from his sleepy appearance and lazy attitude. I pick my noodles back up and begin to devour them.
~
I woke up in the morning expecting to see Nanami in her room, but she wasn't there. I thought about it for a minute and just came to the conclusion that she probably won't be here till' later this afternoon. I hate today already because I'm feeling kind of depressed. Well, let's not say kind of...I'm completely depressed. I don't really know why. I think it's because of the stuff going on with Nanami and because of the nightmare I had before waking up. It felt like it lasted forever which completely crushed me when I woke up.
I proceed to go through my, almost, daily routine. Wake up, take my pills and go back to sleep. I absolutely love sleep... well I would if I didn't have nightmares almost every night. But the nights I don't have nightmares are the nights that I cherish.
~
"Come on Nanami. Wake up," I plead as I shake her. Her big, hazel brown eyes start to slowly open.

"Huh? What time is it?"
"It's 6:47, we need to leave in, about, 10 minutes."
Nanami zooms off my bed and runs down the short hall to the bathroom. I chuckle at her urgency. She usually never sleeps in like this. The situation between her and (Y/n) must be really serious if it's changing the way she operates.
I hear Nanami running, her footsteps coming closer and closer by the second.
"Alright, I'm ready!" She pants.
"Okay let's go."
~
Luckily, we made it to school in time. We would've gotten detention if we got here any later than we did. Nanami and I take a seat at our desks and sit there for a moment. Then, we turn to each other and start to burst out in laughter. It was hilarious how much we rushed to get here. There were moments that we almost fell because we were running so fast. Oh and if you didn't know, me and Nanami are the fastest girls in the grade. I'm not surprised that Nanami is because she's always energetic so seeing her down yesterday is kind of new. I mean, I've seen her sad, depressed and I've seen her cry, but yesterday just seemed a bit...different.
Our laughter was cut off by the teacher stepping into the classroom. This meant it was time for the chit chat to end and for the seriousness to begin. I whisper to Nanami, "I guess that's our cue." She nods and turns to the teacher as I do the same. Time to start the day.

THE TWIN CITIES
Knight Captain Lowe of the Order of the Purging Flame with his faithful company and friend, Cuwin, set out to kill the leader of the Necrophiliad, a necromancer king whispered about by the title of Lord Summoner. “For the world—and the Order of the Purging Flame!”* * * I'll write on it when I get around to writing on it! :p
8 142Balancing of the world
Just as humanity reached the height of its power, it fell again. Mana was introduced into a previously balanced world, sending everything present into chaos. Humanity losing its technological advantages, fell back to the dark ages, back to when survival was all but guaranteed. Mana though useful for enhancing the body isn’t unlimited, and humanity fell behind fast. From experiments, a being of mana, born into this chaotic world. The first of its kind. Rather than thriving in a world to which it belongs, it has to model the world so it will suit its needs. As a lone being, it has to use its power over mana to influence beasts and humans alike to abide by its will and further its goals. It will manipulate intelligent lifeforms to do its bidding while believing that they are becoming stronger. It will help lower lifeforms and guide their lives until they fit into the world as envisioned by our being. Read how our protagonist starts in a small area, changing it to suit its needs, and then grows until the world is balanced and at peace again. This is my first story, and I don’t have an editor yet. My English should be good enough, but I expect to have to go back and do editing later on. I would classify this story as litRPG. There will be a type of system with blue boxes and all, though the perspective is the system itself and how it came to be and why it does what it does. As a single mighty being, there will be dungeon core influences such as expanding the area and influencing all within though there is no such thing as an actual dungeon. As humanity is trying to survive, there will also be some city/base building influences, and I will have some perspective changes to show how the forces are being perceived by the affected people. As I have a busy job, it will be hard to update consistently, but I am quite a bit ahead of what I have currently uploaded.
8 164Sage of Shadows
Daniel Bishop is a thief, grifter, and part-time pickpocket. Or at least he was, until the apocalypse hit. Now he's fighting everyone and everything for survival, utilizing the strange new game-like tools he the rest of humanity received at the beginning of this mess. Will Daniel survive and thrive in this new world, or is he doomed to become just another nameless casualty of this new world? Hello, I am an aspiring author and I am using this fiction as an experiment to refine my writing style. If you have any feedback, please do not hesitate to comment, it would be much appreciated. I currently do not have an exact release schedule, but will aim for one chapter a week. Content warnings are for creative freedom. Thanks for reading my story, I hope you enjoy it!
8 348The Grey Realm, an Erebus Story.
Written by: Staugroan and The Inklets. Edited by: Claudia Adams. In the beginning there was a god, who watched over and made one world his own. Soon after the god grew restless, but happened to stumble on a small world filled with life. This world was named Erebus by its peoples; humanity. The god was so fascinated with this new world that he started to copy it back home, creating oceans, forests, deserts, and so forth. Then the god created life and eventually his favored creations who would be immortals and be the better of mankind in every way-the elves. So often the god had traveled to Erebus that the two worlds became linked by magic and their inhabitants could cross at will. Relations between the races flourished, and a great empire was born in the Grey Realm, home of the elves. But the god once again grew restless, and set loose great beasts that stood at the top of any food chain, the apex. At first the elves met the challenge and fought them head on. But mankind was not so lucky, they died in droves to push back even a single apex. Something had to be done. Elves and man worked together to begin sealing off the worlds to protect mankind, to limit the ways in and out to better fight the apex off and keep their fellows safe. The ritual had adverse effects the likes of which neither the elves nor man could predict; the sealing of the worlds started slow, but the magic had never been done before, and in their ignorance it spread to completely cut the two worlds off from one another. It ejected the apex, and other magical being back into the Grey Realm, saving Erebus. At first the elves were content, they would find a way back once the apex were dead and gone. But the seal had done more than keep Erebus locked away. The powersource of the seal was magic itself, from both worlds, and it consumed it all greedily. The elves, weakened without their magic, crumbled into ruin, and the apex were free to hunt the other races of the Grey Realm. Two-thousand years later a strange phenomena is occurring and magic is slowly returning to the Grey Realm, and tears open that allow passage to Erebus. Thu'lain and a few elves must make the journey to fallen kingdom of the elves Anosora, in the hopes of reclaiming what was once theirs. They must face their nemesis the apex, and survive not only the species that have turned against them, but a terrible being left behind by the god to kill even the apex. Uch'l'thein, the faceless terror.

The kingdom of Leferon was peaceful.
