《KuroxReader》Chapter 2: A SerVamp's Job

"Well, you're demanding, aren't you? But ok. I'll start with something that we both should know." "What's that?" "You and I would probably never get along." "Oh, that's funny, 'cause I was thinking the exact same thing!"
"So, this contract you were talking about..." "It's just a temporary one." "Temporary? So, how long does it last?" "If I don't drink your blood in the next 24 hours, it'll be cancelled, so you don't need to worry about that." I sigh in relief. "Ok, good." I walk to the kitchen and sit on the table. What do I do?! I've accidentally made a contract with a vampire! A vampire! Like he said, I am stupid... "What's wrong with you?" I get startled and fall off the table, but before I hit the ground, he quickly catches me. I open one eye and find myself looking into his red eyes. Well, he is a vampire, after all. And a very cute one... I blush. He blushes a little too. He then puts me on my feet. "Uh, thanks." I say, turning away from him, still blushing. "Y-yeah, whatever." He also turns away from me and walks into the living room. Then I realise that my arm is bleeding and there's a chain attached to my arm. "What is this?!" "Oops..." He runs up to me. "Kuro, what have you done?!" He sighs. "Well, I guess it can't be helped. You're my Eve now." I gasp, looking confused. "E-Eve? Then what does that make you?" "Your SerVamp." "S-SerVamp?" "Yeah." Then I look down at his hands, which are now blue and black claws. I step away from him, pointing at it. "What's with your hands?!" "Hm?" He looks down and makes them go away. "That's none of your concern." Then he picks me up. "Now, come with me." I blush. "H-hey! K-Kuro! What're you doing?!" He blushes a little too. He runs out the door and jumps off the balcony. "Y-you're crazy!" "No. I'm your SerVamp." Then he jumps onto a rooftop and I quickly grab onto him, scared. "Fine, but you're a crazy SerVamp, then." "That so?" I smile and blush, and he blushes a little. "I know you're a vampire and they suck people's blood out, but I don't mind." He blushes a little more. He sighs. "What a pain." I shake my head, still smiling. Then I look in front of me. "Uh, Kuro?" "What?" "Where are we going?" He looks at me. "You'll see." I look confused, as he looks back up again. "Hey." "What?" "What's your name, again?" "Oh, it's (Y/N)." "(Y/N)... It's a nice name, if I have to be honest with you." He blushes and I widen my eyes and blush. "Oh, uh, t-thanks..." He blushes as well. "Ok, hold on tight, (Y/N)." "Huh? W-" "Just do it!" I grab his coat tightly and bury my face in his coat. He jumps and lands in a hall, even though he broke through the roof. "Ok, (Y/N). We're here." Then he puts me down and he holds my hand. I blush and look at him, who is also blushing. But he doesn't make eye contact with me. "Uh, you wanted to see me?" "Yeah, but Hugh's in the toilet right now. He'll come out in a bit." "I don't think we wanted to know that, Tetsu." Yeah, we really didn't want to know that... Kuro leans in to whisper something to me. "I know it's crazy, but this guy's actually 14." I gasp. "I know, right?" 14?! This guy looks like he's 17 or 18! Then a little boy wearing a Dracula costume comes in. I look confused. "Uh, kid? You do know Halloween's over, right?" He looks at me. "I'm not a kid!" "Y-you're not?!" "And I'm a vampire, one of Sleepy Ash's siblings!" "Oh! My apologies." "It's fine." I lean over to Kuro. "Hey, Kuro?" "What?" "Who's this Sleepy Ash?" "Me. It's what my siblings call me." "Hu-" Then Kuro covers my mouth with his hand. "Shut up." Then he takes his hand away from my mouth. "K-Kuro?" He sighs. "What now?" I blush. "Can you please let go of my hand?" He turns bright red. "As much as I want to, I can't." "Huh?" He sighs. "It's one of the SerVamp rules..." I look away, blushing a bit more. "Some rule..." He looks away, sighing and blushes a little. "I know..." "Sleepy Ash, you're going to have to stay here." Hugh says. "Why?" "We need your help, so you'll have to stay in Misono's house, along with us." He looks at me. "Along with your Eve." Then he looks back at Kuro. "You know, you can let go of your Eve's hand now." Kuro lets go and blushes. I also blush. Then there's a bat next to me and I scream and grab onto Kuro. "Anyway..." I let go of Kuro and blush. Kuro also blushes.

I sigh. "I'm sorry, I'm just scared of bats..." "That's alright. Now follow me." Kuro and I follow Hugh and I ask Kuro something. "Hey, Kuro?" He looks at me. "What?" "As Hugh and your siblings call you Sleepy Ash, what do you and your siblings call Hugh?" "Old Child." Uh... "Ok..." "Alright, you two, we're here." I look up. This place is huge! "Um, so is there another SerVamp here?" "Yes, All of Love." I stay quiet for a bit. "Huh?" "Hello. Nice to meet you. You must Sleepy Ash's Eve." Then he strips and I shudder, looking away. Then Kuro covers my eyes. "Uh, Kuro? What're you doing?" I say, blushing. "Covering your eyes so you don't see that stripping pervert." "Who is that, anyway?" "All of Love..." "That's him?!" "Yeah. Quite a surprise, huh?" "Yeah..." Then he takes his hand away from my eyes. "You're Kuro's Eve, aren't you?" "Uh, yes. Are you Misono?" "That's right. I'm All of Love's Eve." "That's right. My Eve has given me the name of Snow Lilly, but feel free to call me Lilly." Then he strips again. Misono hits him with a book. "Stop that!" Yeah, please stop. "What? I was just trying to make a good first impression!" What?! First impression?! I look away. But then I realise that Kuro looks a little sad. I put a hand on his shoulder. "Kuro? What's wrong?" He looks at me, then turns to me. "It's nothing..." I put both hands on his shoulders and smile. "Kuro, it's ok. I won't judge you. After all, as well as your Eve, I'm your friend too!" He blushes and I chuckle. "Don't worry! I'm here for you, Kuro. I always will be! No matter what happens." His eyes glisten, but he keeps his tears back. But, one escapes his eyes. He looks embarrassed that I saw him crying and looks down. I wipe it away, then he looks up to me. I smile and blush. He puts a hand on my head and puts his forehead against mine. I gasp and blush more. "(Y/N)... Thank you, but... I'm supposed to be here for you." "Why can't I?" "I have to protect you, (Y/N), not you protecting me." "Well, I want to. I may be your Eve, but I think of you as my number one priority." Kuro gasps and blushes when he sees tears rolling down my cheeks. "I don't care what you say, Kuro! I don't care about those stupid damn rules! I want to be there for you!" "(Y/N)..." "You know that, Kuro. So please... Hear me out. I want to be there for you... Until the day I die." Tears fall down Kuro's eyes and he can't hold them back. He then hugs me. "Kuro..." "(Y/N)... I want you to be safe. Even though that's the job of a SerVamp, I want to be more than a SerVamp to you." "Kuro... You already are." He hugs me tighter, but I don't mind.

Quebracho: The Legend of Two Heroes
After a violent and tough battle, you recover in an infirmary with your fellow soldiers, or in a more relatable scenario, visit your friend's house after a hard day of studying. You’d expect that both of them would play out normally for the most part, right? Well... Maxon Cortez and Jason McGuire had the same thoughts too. Yet, fate has different plans for them: Max ends up in an eerie location he doesn’t recognize and Jace gets transported to an entirely different world that works like a video game (sort of) by walking into a portal. As they travel along the lands, the two of them will encounter other individuals of many kinds, make friends new and old, gain powerful abilities, experience spectacular adventures, and obtain priceless treasures. However, Maxon and Jason will unknowingly become integral parts of a nefarious conspiracy that, if successful, will plunge both of their worlds into eternal chaos and darkness. So it’s up to them and their allies to thwart it. Side-Note: I’ll admit right off the bat that this story will be my first attempt at writing a LitRPG, so the in-game mechanics and terminology will probably look weird and be even nonsensical. If you notice something that’s out-of-place or just flat out wrong, I apologize. Not only that, it's been a while since I've wrote anything and thus I'm a little bit rusty. So please bear with me. New chapters once every Saturday or Sunday. Also, I'll be fine-tuning the grammar, punctuation, and spelling when I have the time. So expect a lot of random edits. This story is also available on ScribbleHub.

Battle of Blackfortress
Welcome to Blackfortress! As one of the biggest industrial cities on planet Azuno, Blackfortress has been playing a key role in the planet’s infrastructure, being the primary exporter of minerals and industrial machinery. Numerous cargo planes and vessels leave the city every day, but when a group of Aftonian satellites mysteriously shut down, the city suddenly goes silent, and the shipments stop coming. When a distress call sent by Riley McConnel a few days later eventually arrives, the Sapphirian Navy and the Aftonian Military Corps put together a joint task force of marines and soldiers, tasked with the objective of reconnoitering Blackfortress and hopefully restoring communications. However, as the soldiers of Operation Black Knight arrive in the city, they quickly discover that the place had turned into a warzone. Separated from the rest of his unit, Lieutenant Patterson and his soldiers venture deep into the city in hopes of finding answers, but when people and objects from the planet’s troubled history reappear, their mission soon turns into a desperate fight for survival, and a race against time. The Devils Of The Biterrain
Zavier was an unremarkable suburbanite living just outside of Seattle. He was finishing up his final semester of high school and preparing to go to college despite a nagging lack of excitement for his future. In the blink of an eye, his life is thrown into chaos when Zavier meets a young man from an alien world named Yafu. Yafu has accidentally been thrown to Earth via portal while chasing the dangerous Poison Fang cult on his world. These two boys quickly come into contact with Arigo, a mysterious and powerful defender of Earth from various interlopers from Yafu’s world, known as the Biterrain. When Arigo discovers that Zavier was used as an unknowing and seemingly impossible vessel for the Fang to try to invade Earth, Arigo decides to send the two boys, along with his faithful assistant Anenna, to the Biterrain for answers on Zavier’s anomalous condition. In this new and dangerous world, Zavier weighs his own feelings of personal inadequacy against the backdrop of his sudden and mysterious importance. Meanwhile Yafu struggles with the limits to his thirst for vengeance and ultimately his future without it. Finally, Anenna must begin to confront a new identity as the last parts of her old one abandon her. In the background of their journey is the mystery around the Immortal King, the mythic founder of the Biterrain’s dominant religion who allegedly disappeared to Earth many millennia ago. Despite the planet being central to the dogma around their messiah figure, Earth has been relegated to myth and conjecture by the general populace of the Biterrain due to their inability to validate its existence in the present time. How will Zavier navigate in a world where he holds its holy grail within his own identity and who can he really trust in a world of such contrived obliviousness?
