《Magic》Gun Violence

Did you know that some laws aren't as important to the government so they push it aside with this system called Separation of Powers?
For example, the law about gun violence and to prevent it from happening : this law isn't enforced because the legislative branch, the one who creates the laws, doesn't have a say in it. There is this system called separation of power, it divides laws that aren't as important to the government and they allow the parties, president, states, cities and towns to decide whether or not they want to enforce the law, in this case, gun violence protection. This idea is not working successfully to keep us safe since law powers defer from what the state, city, and town want. It doesn’t ensure our safety with gun violence as not all leaders take the same actions. Read to see what is happening vs what we the people need.
A clear example that Gun violence is out of control is that there is a lot, a lot of it going on yet lack of leadership to enforce such safety and to prevent these problems.
In 2022, a young, 18-year-old gunman targeted a Texas school, the one he’d gone to, and killed 19 students and two teachers. There are many reports during this shooting that the police’s presence was uncoordinated and they lacked leadership and protection to its people, not able to take down such a gunman.
This shows that the police officers' jobs aren’t taught in a manner that protects and guarantees our safety and shows a lack of procedures that need to be taken in consideration during a dangerous situation like a shooting. The certain state policy of gun rights were given to a young man that doesn’t know how to use it and uses it in expressing anger violently and if we enforced a law throughout the whole country rather than depending on the state, city or town then maybe it would ensure that guns wouldn’t be given to the wrong hands.

This brings us to our second reasoning of how our system is failing us, is by giving gun rights to people. This has a downside, especially when people who are using them are violent and angry.
A law was passed in the Supreme Court to give permission to gun rights and barely a week later, another mass shooting occurred: 7 people died and 25 were wounded. This gave rise to other mass shootings in other towns. This shows that giving the responsibility of gun rights to wrong people, untrustworthy and emotionally/mentally unstable, is creating examples of violence. This also gives the example on how the policies in this country do not support the people: the system is not working because it is not built to solve the problem of violence at its roots and it's pushing it aside, ignoring it, despite the suffering it's created and the many voices raised to protest.
Overall, we have learned about our system of how the power works in only a few paragraphs and have made clear that it is not helping or supporting our safety and wellbeing. Mass shootings have been happening more and more consistently and not only do we not receive the support we need with leadership, police forces and people in power to stop this, people lack the proper support to deal with the fear and anxiety and the post traumatic responses. Trauma is a ripple effect far bigger than the numbers of those wounded or killed.
Therefore, all of these problems are being formed and nobody is taking charge. We need a systematic change, change the people in power, change what laws get more attention, create structures that truly support people in need and make sure that what's done is done for the well-being of all, including those that acted out violently.
