The last couple of hours has been intense. After the top five floors of a known skyscraper has been secured, the entrapment operations has commenced. Several gunshots and chaotic fighting caused an uproar but was fortunately contained within the hour.

The victims have been rescued and the criminals have been caught, well except for the mastermind, Big Papa, who escaped through a chopper. Nevertheless, the rescue operation has been a success, Chief Inspector Forth Jaturapoom and his men already has leads on the possible hideouts of the very elusive big boss. They just need to do a man hunt on the upcoming days.

Big Papa was one of the most wanted ring leaders of the biggest human trafficking cartel in Thailand. Though he was not caught, his biggest site has been busted and almost all of Big Papa's minions, including his right hand, are now in the hands of authority. It's only a matter of time until their elusive big boss is captured. The operation that has taken months of groundwork, planning, and surveillance finally paid off.

A total of fifteen very young victims are rescued. After profiling them it turned out they were all minors. Young girls to be sold as prostitutes, young boys whose organs are to be sold, and the rest are children for God knows what Big Papa has in mind for them. They were all accounted for and were now in the hands of the Social Welfare Department.

"P..." A young boy, maybe aged six or seven grabbed Forth by the pants. "Where is P'Angel? He is not here."

"Angel? Who?" Forth bent down and looked at the kids that are now huddled together outside the building ready to be transported for debriefing.

"Yes, P., he's not here with us. Maybe he is still in Big Papa's special room." A young girl spoke.

"What do you mean Nong?" Forth made sure his men covered all the floors.

"It was my turn to be in the special room today, but.. but..." The young girl broke into tears. "He went in my place instead."

"Yes, P. He is our guardian angel." The young boy again, and all of them nodded in agreement. Some girls are now sobbing softly.

"P, he's still there!" An older boy, maybe aged twelve spoke. "Sometimes, Big Papa takes us to a special room where people come to do horrible things to us." Tears start forming in his eyes. "P'Angel would save us most of the time and would go instead of us. P' promised to protect us."

Forth felt a lump in his throat. That bastard, I will catch you no matter what.

"Where is that room Nong?"

"We don't know P', we are always blindfolded when we go there. Please find him P!"

Forth called his men. "Guys we are still missing one kid. He might be in one of the hidden rooms. Make sure to check all of them. I'll join you shortly."

Forth went back to the kids to assure them. He instructed the Social Welfare team to go ahead and take the kids. It's already past midnight and they needed rest. He promised to bring the last one when they find him.

The twenty-four year old officer proceeded with his final mission for the night.

"This is the last room." Forth heaved a sigh of frustration as he led his men. Where are you?

Forth opened the door and was surprised with the view in front of him. Inside the room was the most beautiful boy he has ever seen. An angel indeed.

The boy was only in his boxers lying on the bed unconscious. Forth looked at the teenage boy. Though his thin frame was covered with bruises, the beauty still prevails. Jet black hair, fair skin, cute button nose, soft jawline.

"Nong..." Forth tried to wake the sleeping boy by tapping his cheeks lightly. "Nong... wake up, are you okay?" He looked really weak so Forth held him up to cradle on his lap. How dare them hurt this innocent angel. He examined the boy's body. It was covered with bruises, there are bite marks, even cigarette burns. The sight made Forth's blood boil.

"Fucking bastards." He swore under his breath, he promised those criminals won't be coming out of prison.

The boy slowly opened his eyes. Forth was mesmerized. It was the most captivating eyes he has ever seen. It was looking at him, and then to his uniform, and then to the officers that are busy surveying the floor.

"The kids..." the boy whispered softly.

"They are safe." Forth answered. The boy sighed.

"Okay." His voice was as weak as his body. After a few seconds he passed out again.

It was only then that Forth realized the boy's feet was chained to the bed. The chain cutting deep in the boy's ankles it looked like it was already bleeding. His men helped him cut the chain and free him. Forth covered him with a blanket and carried him all the way to the car.

During the ride back to the station, the boy slipped in and out of consciousness. It was only when they are almost near that he woke up completely and got up from the backseat of Forth's car.

"Nong Angel?" Forth spoke.

"Beam." The boy spoke quietly, looking at his lap.

"What?"

"My name is Beam, Beam Baramee" he said softly. "It's just the kids that call me Angel."

"Okay, Beam. Hello, my name is Forth." They finally arrived at the station.

Forth got out of the car and opened the backseat. Beam tried getting out but his knees buckled and Forth caught him just in time.

"Sorry... it hurts..." Again Beam's voice only a whisper.

Forth held Beam's shoulders. "It's okay Beam, you don't have to move, now tell me. Where are your parents? I'll call them to get you, okay?" Forth's tone is safe and reassuring.

Beam was silent.

"Beam..."

Beam just shakes his head.

"What do you mean?" Forth looked confused.

"I... I have no family..."

Forth was taken aback.

"How about relatives?"

Beam shakes his head again.

"Where do you live?"

"Orphanage..."

This time Forth was silent.

Beam finally looked at him with pleading eyes. Forth can only stare at those eyes, like he was hypnotized.

"Please don't bring me back there... please... I don't want to.. go back." Beam said in a barely audible voice.

"Why?" Forth softly asks.

Beam just shakes his head.

Forth let out a big sigh, he doesn't have plans to return Beam to the orphanage either.

"Okay, just wait for me here in car... Okay? Just leave the window open so you can have fresh air." Forth squeezed Beam's shoulder reassuringly. Beam just nodded.

When Forth came back, Beam was sleeping again. Forth went to the driver's seat and looked at the sleeping boy before starting the car.

"Beam, we are going home."
