(Reader pov)
I was walking down the street with my bestest friend ever. When a beam of light suddenly hit us, all I remember before blacking out is my BFF calling my name is I fade into blackness. As I woke up I fell hard bedding beneath me. I open my eyes to see a boy or girl in blue and black armor. I sit up and groan, he holds his hand out to me. I take it, suddenly ice just happened to appear at my feet. 'Crap they, found out they will think that I'm a freak now', I thought. Suddenly I am pulled into an embrace by someone, (BFF/n) pulled me into a hug. As I finally pull out of my amnesia like state I realize what's truly going on
(BFF/n) is the only person that knows that I have powers. They found out accidentally, but still accepted me. I smiled at her forgetting who else was there.
"Oh sorry my name is (y/n) (l/n), it's nice to meet you but who are you?", I ask.
Suddenly the armor fades away and I squeal, Jaime (BFF/n) brother was this blue and black armored character that I immediately recognized as Blue Beetle, whom I had a teensy weensy crush on.
"So, that's who you are 'Frostbite'", I sighed and nodded.
"Yes, but Jaime, you could have told me who you were I mean we are possibly the two closest people on the team other than Robin and Wondergirl", I stared plainly. " wait where am I?", your in the hospital again.", (BFF/n) stated. Oh yeah (BFF/n) knows who my superhero identity is anyways.
"Wait how many times have you been in the hospital?", Jiema asks with a hint of concern.

"Be careful, it will almost seem like you care for me BB", I smirked. " 88 times to be exact", I said and smiled proudly, while Jaime just shook his head and sighed.
I look up at the monitor and see central city news.
"Holy crap guys, look at the news!", it showed news of Central City being attacked by a man giving of waves of radiation destroying the city. I look on the screen and see Flash, Kid Flash, and a new guy helping the situation. "Who the hell is that guy?!" I ask, and they both shrug. "Want to he check it out?", I offer.
" Hell to the no, you just got in the hospital anyways", I say as I sit the and pout.
TIME SKIP
Jaime POV
(Y/n) and I just got back from the hospital when the new kid just entered this machine thingy.
'Time machine idiot'
"Just shut up okay"
"The scarab taking to you again?", I nod.
I look over at her and my heart begins to race faster than before.
'Jaime this girls seems to increase you heart rate kill her to extinguish the problem'
"What no?!"
"Oh okay I'll just hang with myself this weekend, and jeez no need to be so hard on me it was only a question", 'Damn' I thought.

I like this Genre to put it bluntly but I've always found that illogical 'Science' and flawed laws of the world, typical in these stories. So, I've decided to fix that. I have tried my best to make weirdness make sense in this World filled with Magic. Short of simulating them to verify, the laws of this new world should make some reasonable sense and will be consistent (As much as I humanely can keep it that way). This might mean my story might vary in it's progression speed but as a compensation, I promise to have a lot more sensible Cliffhangers if I must put them in. Also, I'm not a big fan of over using vocabulary when telling a story. So, My Language will be very unsophisticated. Hope that's not a putoff. So, Enjoy your reading!

The Swordsman - His look in the description was vastly different, but just think of him as a modern guy and that person in the cover was close. IMO. BIG CREDITS TO - the person who points out the mistake of my cover. vkg313 - the person who have a keen and sharp eyesight. He could look into the truth and mistakes of anything he wanted to see. Thus, unveiling the mistake of my cover. Instead of 'Eight Swords', it turned out to be just 'Eight Sword'. So thanks for the tip, and I appreciate it.

He stopped being a sleeper and saw a glimpse of the true form of the world which opened his eyes to a new life altogether. ============================================================================================== This is my first fiction and i am loosely basing this on Mage:The Awakening rulebook. Naturally i am going to change things a bit but i don't intend to make this a novel where the main character goes around changing the whole world. It will be based on a normal guy discovering a new world while trying to find his place in it. Also please write comments warning me about things such as development speed or unrealistic relations.
