《Changed》Chapter 7

"Whew!" I exclaimed, laying down my head in Jake's lap. We just outran the police and were all chilling out in the abandoned mall.
"That was fun!" David smiled a dopey grin. Earning a smack on the head from Haley.
"Shut the fuck up. But I have to admit," She sat down next to him. "That was pretty fun."
"See." David pointed to Haley. "Even she agrees with me."
"What was that supposed to mean, fucker?"
"N-Nothing!" He squeaked. I laughed at his behavior.
"Hey," Thomas looked at David. "Wasn't it, your fucking fault we got caught and fucking chased by the police on our first fucking day?!"
"Geez, man. Expand your vocabulary."
"Not the point." Thomas spat through gritted teeth.
"Well, sorry, that I didn't know that there were freaking video cameras installed at a fucking abandoned mall!"
"Wait...where are they?" Daisy asked, looking in all the nooks and crannies. "Did they see us come in here?"
"Probably," Jake admitted, playing with my hair.
"How are so chill about this?!" Thomas exclaimed. "We could get kicked out, and my mom would fucking beat my sorry ass!"
"Not my fucking problem," Jake said. "Besides, it's too dark. They couldn't have seen our faces."
"Oh..."
"You really are a dimwit," Jake commented softly.
"You just figured that out?" I raised my eyebrow. He chuckled and kissed my forehead.
"We should probably go back." Daisy looked at her phone. The time read, 10:28. "I can't believe we've been out for that long..."
"What time is it?" Haley asked.
"It's 10:28. Wait..."
"What?" David stopped playing who knows what on his phone.
"When did Mr. Zawa, or whatever, say their classes ended?"
"Umm..." I searched through my memories. "I think about an hour or two after he left- oh..."
"Oh, what?" David, still not getting it, asked.

"How are you, my boyfriend?" Haley murmured. "Zuzu, can we trade boyfriends?" I just laughed and David gasped dramatically.
"How dare you, I'm an amazing boyfriend."
"Yeah," I said getting up and still chuckling. "I'm sure you are. But, Jake's mine." I hugged him from behind. Dropping my laugh, I glared at each and every one of them, letting my devil form flicker out a bit. "And mine ." They all gulped.
"Zu, they're your friends." Jake was the only one unaffected. "And don't worry, I'm yours." He kissed me passionately. I immediately melted into the kiss, forgetting everyone and everything that just happened. He licked the bottom of my lip for entrance and I almost instantly granted it to him. His tongue explored every inch of my mouth and tongue. Much to my displeasure, he slowly pulled away.
"And yours only..." He panted. I smiled and kissed him again. This time it was short but filled with love.
"Awww~" I snapped my head to the direction of the sound. Daisy, Thomas, Haley, and David were all gushing over us.
"What are you looking at?" I snapped softly, still in a bit of a daze.
"Oh, nothing." Thomas wiggled his eyebrows. Jake just rolled his eyes.
"We're already together, there's nothing you can do anymore." He said.
"Well, not nothing..." Haley trailed off. I blushed and covered it up with a scowl.
"S-Shut up!" I heard Jake trying to stifle a laugh from in front of me. I whacked him upside the head for that.
"Ow! What the heck, Izu?"
"That was for laughing at me. And this," I kissed him again. "Was for 'standing up for me' even if it didn't totally work," I added on.
"Aw, can't get enough of me, can you?" He taunted, I just slapped him again.
"Ow! Damn," He rubbed the red spot on his cheek. "You hit hard."

"Never mess with an angry Izuku~!" Daisy sang.
"Shut up...morons," I whispered the last word.
"Let's just get back, I'm sure they're already panicking," David said.
"Wow," Thomas breathed. "David said something smart and worth noticing for once."
"Oh, it's on!" David launched himself at Thomas for the second time today.
"Ugh," Daisy groaned. "Stop it!" The fight hadn't started too long ago, so they still had some common sense left and stopped. Only a few bruises and scratches here and there.
"I swear, you guys are going to be the death of me." Haley got up and walked over to the two boys and proceeded to heal their wounds.
"Hey," Jake gathered our attention.
"What?" I asked.
"I've got an idea."
"Okay? Spill." David touched a spot where a bruise had started to fade, wincing a little.
"Let's prank the class when we get back!"
"Umm...ok?"
"How?" Thomas asked.
"We could just pretend that either; villains attacked us or fake being drunk or high off our asses."
"Hmmm..." I considered both options. "It's going to be hard to act high or drunk without anyone noticing. The villains one is probably better, but that might trigger too big of a reaction, so we'd have to cut it off pretty soon-"
"Zu," I looked up. "You're muttering again."
"Oh!" I rubbed the back of my neck sheepishly. I was still working on that habit, it didn't happen as often though, maybe like once or twice a month when I'm in a stressful situation or it just comes out of my mouth before I can stop it.
"Sorry..."
"It's fine, Izu!" Haley clapped my back.
"Yeah, you're getting better, too!" David congratulated.
"Ok, ok." I waved them off. "Now, I think the villain's option is the best."
"Why?" Thomas asked.
"Well, it's probably too hard to act drunk of high without anyone noticing that it's fake and we'd have to be careful with either one, so that's not really a way to narrow it down."
"Why would we have to be careful with the high/drunk one?" Thomas looked confused along with the rest.
I sighed, "Well, if we aren't careful enough, it could either not pick up at all and we'd look like idiots. Or, we could get kicked out before we can even explain for 'drug, alcohol, and vape use'."
"Makes sense," Jake admitted. "But what about the villain one?"
"I think that it's, personally, our best bet. But, the reason we have to be careful is that they could take it too seriously and send out search parties, investigations, lock down the school. Stuff like that."
"Oh...then what do we do?" Daisy looked at me.
"We could just keep up the act for a few minutes, then before anything gets too serious, call it off and tell them it's a prank." Everyone nodded and agreed.
"Now, time for the plan," I explained what I wanted them to do. We sparred a bit to get bruises and scratches, tore up our clothes enough for it to be believable, and agreed to run all the way back to give off the effect of panting and tiredness.
"Let's do this!" David exclaimed after we finished sparring and were ready to run back. He put a fist in the center of our little circle. We then all piled them into a circle, each touching the next.
"Ad Corvos!" We cheered.
"Re *pant* member *pant* the *pant* plan *pant*," I wheezed, the sprint back to UA only took forty minutes, but we were all winded. Tired nods passed through the group. Still standing outside the gates, we got prepared.
"3,"
"2,"
"1,"
"Ire!" We sprinted to the dorms, the doors came closer and closer. I put on my mask of fear and worry.
Fifty feet.
Forty feet.
Thirty feet.
Twenty feet.
Ten feet.
BANG!
"DEKU?!?!?!"

A Nation of Distances (possibly a dystopian love story)
Michael lives in a toxic macho world with extreme male hierarchy. When he gets a weird rating that makes his place even more problematic he's forced to choose a fiancée at a Wife School, and he slowly discovers more about the other side of the great divide between the sexes in The Nation. If only the world would stop being so complicated... On the other side there's Megan, who's more interested in books than in marriage, and the unpredictable Eliza who seems to have a connection with Micheal already. Will they be able to cross the distance and become friends against all the rules of their own world, or will they just be crushed? Are positive relationships between men and women even possible? And is there a way to change the world or is that just a naive thought of a silly wimp? 'A Nation of Distances' is a slightly dystopian dialogue-heavy drama set in a low sci-fi future setting about the war between the sexes, disconnect and friendship. The genre will fluctuate in between more slice-of-life parts and soft sci-fi drama with possible romantic elements, with alternating lead and switching perspectives once more of the main characters are established. Content Warning: Certain concepts and scenes might be disturbing and/or triggering to some, even though the story itself won't be extremely heavy most of the time. Sexism as a double-edged sword destructive to both sexes is an important part of the story, but so is friendship.Note that all descriptions of persons and places are purely fictional and made up by the writer, and any resemblance with anything in the real world is a coincidence, since the real world is not supposed to be dystopian anyway!
