《Changed》Chapter 3

"YOU BITCH!" Haley yelled. I groaned as I was pulled from my sleep.
"What's going on?" I asked, groggily rubbing my eyes and sitting up in my bed. Haley, Daisy, Thomas, and David were all sitting on the floor of my dorm room that I shared with Jake.
"YOU STOLE $100!"
"What?" I was super confused now. I knew for sure that Haley didn't have $100 unless she meant like actually stealing. We did that a few times, so that was the most believable but at 7 in the morning?
"IT'S NOT MY FUCKING FAULT THAT YOU'RE A SHIT BANKER!!!!" Thomas screamed.
"Oh..." I facepalmed. They're playing Monopoly. It's become like a tradition. We would all play either Monopoly or Uno like once every week or two unless any of us were on private missions.
Before I even came, Daisy, Haley, Thomas, and David already had the most powerful quirks in the school. They were their own little gang and often did private missions or errands for a few teachers, sometimes even heroes. After a few months, Jake and I were already accepted in the friend group, but we couldn't go on these missions. I also found out what their quirks were.
Daisy's was Waves. She could create and admit sound waves from her hands or mouth, sort of like Jiro's quirk. But, she has better control and has a greater range. She can also adjust the volume and frequency of the wave. But, if she uses her quirk too much, she can go mute for a day or two, but it usually just makes her throat sore which she can just 'cure' it with a few cough drops. And since she can use her hands to project the waves, too, the skin on her hands it always raw which makes it prone to injury. But, if her hands are injured, she can't use her quirk with her hands.
Haley's quirk is Angel's Grace. Her quirk is like mine, but with angel wings instead of devil wings, a halo instead of horns, beams of light instead of darkness, and light swords and guns instead of dark swords and guns. But, she can't do anything that has to do with making people see things as I can. Instead, she can heal people. She can also make her wings and halo disappear. Her drawbacks are also the same as mine.
David's is Shadows. He can bend the shadows around him and create shadow weapons; guns, knives, shields, etc. He can also see in the dark and allow others to see in the dark, but it has a max of 5 people unless he works on it more. However, he can get sick easily and his hands and eyes will hurt depending on how long he activates his quirk.

Thomas's quirk is called Arsenal. It's basically what it's called. He can summon any weapon. They will disappear if they haven't come in contact with him for more than an hour or he wills it to disappear. Right now, he can create 4 weapons at a time and keep them out for 4 hours, but it can be more if he works on it. The drawbacks are if he summons too many weapons or keeps them out for too long, his arms will go numb and render useless. With extreme cases, he could lose a finger or two, and even more, extreme, lose his arm.
I also learned more about Jake's quirk.
His is Wolf and as he said before, he has wolf-like qualities; strength, speed, senses, agility, etc. Jake also has retractable claws that sprout from between his knuckles , and retractable canines. He also can heal really fast. But, he has a more animalistic diet and during full moons, he's forced to change into his most wolf-like appearance and go hunt or vent.
I can also use OFA at 100%, thanks to constant training...and visits to the nurse. I also learned how to fully control and utilize my new quirk.
Finally, by the end of our first year here, the teachers saw that Jake and I were also pretty powerful and could handle our quirks very well. So, they let us join in on the missions. At school, we're referred to as the Six Crows. The teachers don't really care what we do outside of school and our missions, so we can use that time to 'release our teenager hormones'. Or, just act like batshit crazy teenagers. We've snuck out, gotten drunk and stoned, stole things, done graffiti, but we are always, okay mostly, good students. We mostly only participate in these activities after school. The teachers and students know that we're troublemakers so they don't really mind it. Obviously they don't know that we've stolen things before, but they know about getting drunk. Not necessarily how often, but they know that we do it.
Another thing that happened over the past two years is that I got a new boyfriend! Guess who it is. Jake. Yep. A couple of months after we started school, I confessed about my feelings, and surprisingly, he returned them. We started dating shortly afterward. My style had also changed. I'm more ripped jeans and bomber jackets, but I still like, occasionally, to dress in all pastels. I still like it, I'm not completely different. Just more comfortable with different things.
Daisy also got a girlfriend called Charlotte Avery. David and Haley are still dating and Thomas is still lonely af.
Also, apparently, I'm the official leader of the Six Crows. Don't ask me how I don't know either. But usually, whenever we need to make a decision they all turn to me. Apparently, they were sort of chaos before we got there. But now, I'm the leader, Jake is the jock that's actually nice, David is the funny one, Haley is the pretty but still sweet one that can kick your ass, Thomas is the forever single one, and Daisy is the 'cinnamon roll' or the mom of the group. By 'cinnamon roll' I mean, to anyone who doesn't really know her, she acts sweet and caring, but when you actually get to know her, she's still caring but she can cuss you out and scold you for hours as well as be very blunt, which by the way, sometimes the comments she makes hurt.

But- I was shaken out of my though as my phone rang.
"Oh, it's my mom." That shut up my friends, an angry mom was not something you want to see. And she hated it when we were too loud.
"Hey, mom," I answered the phone and put it on speaker so my friends could also hear.
"Hello, Izuku. Did you forget?"
"Huh?" I was confused. Forget what?
"Today's the day that you're going back to Japan, remember?" Oh, right. I haven't talked to anyone from 1-A, well now 3-A since after a month of coming to America.
"Okay, thanks, mom."
"No problem honey." I hung up the phone.
"Can we come, Zuzu?" Daisy looked up from her phone. They already cleaned up the game and were just laying around the room.
"Sure, where's Jake?" I looked around.
"Oh, I think he's in the shower."
"Okay, well, the flight's this afternoon. So, if you want to come, pack what you need for a week."
"Thanks, Izu!" David called as he ran out the door. As you can tell, I've got quite a few nicknames; Zu, though Jake is the only one that calls me that, Zuzu, Zuku, Izu, Izuku. I don't go by Deku anymore, it means useless and I'm not useless, not anymore.
The day passed quickly and we were ready to go to the airport.
"Everyone ready?" Daisy asked.
"Yep!" David confirmed.
"Did you guys tell the teachers?"
"Ummm..." David looked around.
"I did." Haley stood next to him and interlocked their fingers.
"Thanks, babe."
"No problem."
"Okay, no mushy stuff. You're just reminding me how single I am." Thomas complained. We laughed it off and something occurred to me.
"Hey, Daisy, does Charlotte know?"
"Yeah, I told her. She's fine with it."
I nodded, "So, we're ready?"
"Yeah, Zu, stop worrying." Jake walked up behind me and wrapped his hands around my waist and kissed my cheek.
"PDA! My eyes! They burn!" Thomas cried.
"Shut up, you're just jealous that you don't have a girlfriend." I rolled my eyes.
"How dare you! For your information I-"
"Just shut up, both of you." Daisy looked at her watch. "If you guys continue this, we're going to miss our flight," Thomas grumbled but obeyed and stopped talking.
"We're here." I declared as we exited the airport.
"Japan's pretty." Haley marveled.
"Yeah, it is." I agreed. I almost forgot how beautiful it is.
"Almost as pretty as you," David winked at Haley. She just laughed and playfully pushed him.
"Shut up, you dimwit."
"Hey, Zuku?"
I turned around. "Yeah, Thomas?"
"Aren't you worried about seeing your classmates again?" He asked.
"A bit, but I'm over Todoroki and Bakugou. The rest are fine." Yeah, I stopped called Bakugou, Kacchan after Todoroki cheated on me with him.
"If you say so."
"Where's our hotel?" David questioned.
"We aren't going to be staying in a hotel," Daisy said.
"What?" David looked confused. "Then where are we going to be staying?" I shook my head at his stupidity.
"Seriously, David? We're going to be staying at the UA dorms." I told him.
"Ohh..."
"You know, you're really dumb sometimes." Haley looked at him. "But you're cute."
"Whyyy?" Thomas groaned. "It wouldn't hurt to remember that there's still a single person here."
"How are you still single?" Jake held my hand and I smiled. His being there still created butterflies in my stomach no matter how long we have been together.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, you're hot, no homo, and any girl would kill to have you."
"Thanks, man. I needed that."
"Can we like actually go somewhere?" I gestured around us. "And not stand in front of the airport like clueless morons."
"You're in charge and you've actually been here before. And you can remember where things are." David added when he saw Daisy about to object.
"Ugh, I still don't get why I have to be in charge," I whined.
"Cause you know what to do when no one else does." Jake pecked my cheek. I blushed and gave in.
"I guess...well let's go to UA. We can go drop off our bags there. The students should still be in class and the teachers and principle Nezu said that they would meet us there."
"And you ask why you're the leader." Daisy teased. I huffed and turned to walk towards the large familiar building in the distance.

The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them.
