《I don't know (IDK) || SOOSHU ft. Mimin》Chapter 6

"Shu... what did you break this time?"
There was an exasperated tone in Minnie's voice as she asked. But before Shuhua could even reply, Minnie found out the answer right there, broken on the floor was Shuhua's pink piggy bank. It's not a piggy bank anymore.
"What happened here?" Minnie asks as she sees her sister trying to count money.
Shuhua looks up and flashes Minnie the world's biggest grin.. Shuhua's face was the picture of happiness...
"Me and " Shuhua emphasizes the word by pointing to herself "girlfriend are going on our first date..."
"And you're paying for it?"
"Yes... since I invited her."
"Well... what do you have in mind?"
Shuhua runs to her rilakkuma bag and rummages inside before excitedly pulling out her kkuma notebook. She reads through a couple of pages until she finds what she was looking for.
Ahem... ahem... she clears her throat as if she was ready to recite a poem in class...
"First I will pick up Soojin in a horse carriage..."
"Wait?" Minnie quickly stops her sister right there. "A horse carriage?"
"Yes...you know a carriage that has a horse..."
Shuhua sure knows how to explain words well.
"I know what a horse carriage means. But c'mon, why not just use a car?"
This time it was Shuhua who let out an exasperated sigh as she reasoned out with her sister.
"Unnie... Did the fairy Godmother turn the pumpkin into a mercedes benz?"
"Well... no... but I don't think there were cars during those days..."
"If she's a fairy, doesn't she have the magic powers to make cars? Hmmm? Hmmm?" Shuhua taunts her sister cutely.
Minnie immediately curses herself when she finds herself arguing back against her sister's skewed logic.
"Fine... fine... you want a horse carriage, then where are you going to go?"
"Then, I will take her to the park, where we can have a picnic under the stars..."
Shuhua was sighing already just thinking of how beautiful her princess would look underneath the sparkling sky.
"And then, I will take her hand and ask her to dance with me..."
"Where? in the club?"
"No... no..." Shuhua shakes her head in horror... "I don't like people lusting over my girl..." Her face scrunched up in an adorable frown. "But instead I will bring my IPOD and we will dance under the stars."
"Look, Shu... I don't want to burst your bubble here..."
Shuhua looks at her with a blank expression on her face.
"I don't have a bubble..." Then Shuhua pointed as she thought of something "I do have a balloon..."
"No...no...no" Minnie shakes her head once again "I meant... I don't want to rain on your..." Minnie stops when she realizes her sister might take her examples too literally, she decides to slow it down.
"I don't want to be so negative, Shu but maybe you need to tone it down a bit. You know, start slow, like take her out for coffee, maybe? Or movies?"
Shuhua gives her unnie an eeehhh look. She was disappointed in how she was super duper romantic and her unnie is so bland and unromantic...
"What's wrong with my plans?"
"Well... it's too..." Minnie starts waving her arms, wishing to find the right words or at least actions to express what she's trying to say. "You know... it's too much?"
"But isn't that we girls want? Someone to make us feel like we're princesses in our own fairy tales?"

Minnie hated that her sister had a point.
"Ok... ok..." Minnie raises her hands in defeat. "If that's what you think, it's up to you..."
Minnie was about to step out of the room, but not without leaving a piece of advice to her sister.
"But you know what makes it more romantic, Shu?"
"What?"
The smile on Minnie's lips weren't wide, but it was still the picture of happiness.
"It's the person you're with..."
"Oh by the way... here..." Minnie says excitedly, showing something on her phone to Shuhua.
"Oh you got a picture of Miyeon?"
"It's not a picture, it's a GIF... she just moves too slow, it looks like a picture..."
"Oh..."
And the two stared at the phone, waiting for the Miyeon GIF to move...
***
Omo! Here they are...
Talks and whispers were suddenly flooding the school gym as the dubbed flower four in their school walks in through the double doors. Yes, if their school was the k drama boys over flowers then Soojin and her crew are the flower four.
There was Moonbyul and Soyeon, the two more carefree ones laughing behind the other two. Somi was ahead of them a bit, preoccupied with her own face...
And of course walking at the very front, the school's own version of Lee Minho is Seo Soojin. But Soojin runs their school, without the bullying part, but the same amount of respect and admiration.
"I wonder who their Yoo Hye Sun is..."
One college girl whispers to her perky friend.
"I have been hearing stuff that Soojin sunbaenim is involved with a freshman..."
"A freshman?" The girl was both shocked and in awe at what she just heard. A freshman? Seo Soojin could have anybody she likes and she would end up with just a freshman?
"Who?"
*
Yeh Shuhua was the type to march to her own music, even in her PE class. So, while everyone goes right, she goes left, when everyone spreads their arms, she raises her up.
Their PE teacher used to reprimand her about it. But realizing that there was no use arguing, she stops. So, she ignores Shuhua, letting the girl do what she wants.
*
Soojin was walking on the bleachers and she knew everyone's attention in the gym was at her, and she hated it. She hated being in everyone's radar, despises being put under the microscope but she accepted that it all comes with her status. That's why she always has the cold façade, hoping that it will put a boundary between her private life and the people trying to pry on it.
She tried to walk away from everyone's attention as swiftly as possible, But the moment she had the puppy eyed girl in her line of sight, her steps slowed down. Soojin turns around, lips slowly forming into a soft grin as she watches in amusement how Shuhua was in her class. The girl has the moves, she just does it at her own pace.
And it amazes Soojin sometimes how Shuhua just seems so carefree of it all, like it doesn't matter to her how people see her as. Soojin could blame it on the immaturity maybe, but part of her is jealous that Shuhua has that guts.
But it's as if Shuhua has a special sensor for her sexy bear, because she immediately looks up and sees Soojin right there.
Soojin quickly stiffen up and looked away, when Shuhua spotted her looking. Getting caught watching Shuhua? This was embarrassing for her. But her eyes slowly gaze back to Shuhua, slowly, so Shuhua won't catch her once again.

But when she looks back...
"Soojin SARANGHAE!!!"
Shuhua squeals out, her arms forming a huge heart...
Soojin stiffen once more, heat rising to her face as she felt a blush forming. From behind she could hear her friends snickering amusedly at her expense.
"Hush..." she grumbles before looking away from the girl.
Soyeon looks down and realizes that her plan is all falling in the right place, just two more steps and she knows this step is going to be the critical one. It will either make or break them... but she has to take the risk.
Hmmm...
*
"Ok... ok... nice work everybody..."
Their teacher applauds her students...
"I have an announcement to make due to some unfortunate circumstances, our performance would have to be moved this Friday..."
"Hu-what?!"
One person sure wasn't pleased with that...
"You have a problem with that, Shuhua?"
Shuhua wriggled herself from the back of the crowd trying to get closer up the front.
"Ummm this Friday?"
"Yes... this Friday..."
"B-but..." Shuhua looked so defeated. "I have a date..."
"Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh..."
Her classmates hoot teasingly while Shuhua bats her lashes like a bashful puppy...
"Why don't you invite your date to the competition?"
Omo! I will be nervous if my sexy bear would be watching me... I wonder if she would want to go?
*
Nowadays, Moonbyul's head is caught in the clouds... because as she proudly says...
Moon Byul Yi now has a crush...
Now everytime somebody sees her she has that goofy grin on her face and her eyes are like hearts popping out of her sockets.
"Unnie! Moonbyul unnie!!!"
Moonbyul landed back on Earth and saw Shuhua waving her hand on her face...
"Oh yoh! hey Shu..."
"So yeah unnie... you think Soojin would be all mad at me if I move our date to another day?"
Moonbyul looked up and couldn't help but awww at how worried those pair of puppy eyes looked.
"Well... I don't think-"
"Of course she would!!!"
Soyeon plops in between the conversation of the two girls...
"Soojin is the busiest person in this school! Heck! She's the busiest girl in this world! Her whole day is on a tight schedule, so one messed up plan, her whole day gets messed up..."
"Omo..." Shuhua turns away, trying to hide her teary eyes...
Moonbyul, the more compassionate one, glares at Soyeon before patting Shuhua's heaving back.
"Hey... it will be okay... I'll talk to Soojin about it, I'm sure she doesn't mind... or you could take her out after your performance, how's that?"
Shuhua just nodded feebly, wiping her eyes with her sleeve.
"Thank you unnie..." Shuhua bows down so low...
"You know what you need to do, Shu?"
"What?"
"Invite Soojin to your presentation..."
A bit of hope starts to glimmer in Shuhua's eyes...
"That's like the perfect way to show her that you're not a lil kid anymore... that you're a grown up..."
"Ummm... but I think I will be nervous if she's there..." Shuhua blushes...
"Well..." Soyeon pats Shuhua on the shoulder "It won't be easy, but Soojin is worth it, right?"
Shuhua blinks her eyes thoughtfully at Soyeon.
"Yes! Yes she is... if she's watching that means I have to try much harder..."
"Yup! There you go!"
Shuhua nodded, putting her gameface on like she's ready for a battle.
"I have to go and practice!!! Thanks unnie!" Shuhua does her breakable bow again before running off...
"So, ummm... by the way are you going to help me out with my crush?"
"Of course I will! What are buddies for? But before that I have to assess how you act around her... then, well see how we can work you two out together..."
Moonbyul cackled confidently...
"I have my own way of charming women, Moonbyul style... OMO!"
Moonbyul suddenly looked like she was about to have a seizure soon...
"What? Oh her... Calm down..."
"I should..."
"Ok... then go approach her..."
"What?" Moonbyul looks so appalled "Why would I do that?!"
"So, I'll know... now go!" Soyeon shoves Moonbyul to her glorious woman. But Moonbyul remains frozen in her spot, in fact, she clung to Soyeon like a preschooler clinging to her mother on the first day of school.
"Can't I just watch from here and admire her from afar?"
"don't be a chicken! C'mon what were you planning to do when you see her?"
"I googled some pick up lines..."
Soyeon raised her brow. "Pick up lines? Sheesshhh... but hey... we could use it to your advantage. Girls like funny girls so I need you to use your lamest pick up lines and you know it's all about delivery Byulyi... So, you have to say it in a both teasing yet flirty manner... ok, now go..."
"You won't leave me, right?"
"No... I'll just be right here..."
"Ok... ok..." Moonbyul inhales sharply and begins rehearsing her pick up lines as she walks closer to her. "Ummm heeeeeyyy..."
"Oh..." She raised up her thick brow "How are you doing Moonbyul?"
"Hey... ummm... Girl, you must be a charmander..."
"what?"
"Because your tail is on fire..."
Soyeon doesn't wait for a reply and speeds out of there before she's even connected to the dork that is Moonbyul.
*
"Are you looking for somebody, Soojin-shii?"
"What?"
Soojin didn't realize she was being obvious. She just stepped out of a student council meeting, and felt a bit surprised maybe that Shuhua wasn't there to take her home.
"Ummm... no, I'm not..."
Soojin unconsciously checks her phone...
Soojin just deleted the message...
"I'll see you later..."
Soojin stuffs her phone back in her pocket then walks ahead. Before, she enjoys the solitude but after being with Shuhua for quite some time, she realizes it's a lonely feeling.
*
"Thanks for helping me practice..." Shuhua bows politely as she walks Yuqi to her home.
"Anytime Shu... you'll be alright on Friday."
"I'm not usually like this, but I feel so nervous."
"You're a good dancer..." Yuqi pats Shuhua on the shoulder. "I'm sure unnie would love to see you..."
"WEEEEEEEE" Shuhua squeals excitedly, jumping on Yuqi in happiness.
*
Meanwhile, the sight of Shuhua embracing Yuqi didn't feel any good for Soojin.
She ends up shutting her blinds hard.
She slouches on her seat, annoyed with what she saw.
She starts browsing through her books, but is still too annoyed to study.
A very annoyed Seo Soojin just got more irritated at the fact that she didn't know how she ended up with this feeling.
"What?!"
Yuqi opens the door and slowly peeps in, from the sound of her unnie's reply it's obvious she was pissed off over something.
"Shuhua wants me to give you this."
Soojin snorted...
"Just put it there..."
"Ok..." Yuqi knows better than to mess with a pissed off Seo Soojin and put it on her sister's bed.
As soon as the door closes, Soojin races to her bed and grabs the heart shape card.
The frown in Soojin's face quickly disappeared, turning into a smile that she hadn't worn for hours... until now...
The same person who made her frown, is the same one who makes her smile so effortlessly...
*
Moonbyul could punch Somi's face for laughing at her embarrassing ordeal. The girls are in the gym, soon to be spectators of Shuhua's performance.
"Yeah, right like you can do better?"
"Of course... I can..."
"Oh yeah..." Moonbyul munches loudly on her popcorn. "What pick up line are you going to use?"
"Oh please... I'm Jeon Somi ... I don't need a pick up line... my face is my pick up line..."
While Somi and byul are caught up with their little quarrel, Soyeon decides to work on Soojin. Soojin with her usual constipated look and arms crossed across her chest.
"Aren't you excited to see Shuhua dance?"
Soojin just shrugs, pretending like she didn't care. But the second Shuhua's class walks on stage, Soojin loosen up a bit, craning her neck to take a glance of the puppy eyed girl... Soyeon notices it, but decides not to say anything. She knew it would be more effective if Soojin figured it out for herself.
"Where is she?" That question came out louder than Soojin would have preferred.
"Why is Shuhua exposing too much of her abs?" Soojin tries to sound authoritative but instead she ends up sounding like a whiny girlfriend.
But then Soojin saw her and she felt her inside just turn into a mush. Shuhua was there with her hair down, a bit of makeup that accentuated her beauty more and her abs, so that's what's underneath all those school uniforms.
Soyeon starts smirking to herself, if she could pat herself for a job well done, she would already have.
Soojin clears her throat, wondering if Shuhua has always looked this pretty or if there was something wrong with the lighting.
But there is obviously something wrong with Shuhua. She doesn't seem so bouncy and even looks like she's in pain as she tried to dance.
*
"Shu?"
"Yuqi?"
"Are you sure you want to do this? I mean if you ask Ms. Hoang I think she can let you pass since you just hurt your ankle."
Shuhua turns to look at her bummed foot...
"I just tightened up the bandage... I could last for 5 minutes I think..."
Shuhua smiles hopefully at Yuqi... Then, looks up, smiling as she saw Soojin.
"Ok... I can do this... fighting!" Shuhua pumps her fist.
*
The whole crowd cheers as Shuhua's class starts to perform. Soojin expected to see troll Shuhua, the girl who likes to dance at her own pace. But right now, she's the one who's stealing everyone's attention, the one who's shining while the rest are behind her like shadows.
And Soojin gulps a huge lump on her throat when Shuhua starts doing her cobra dance. The sensual yet playful way Shuhua's body just swayed to every beat of the music just caught Soojin.
"You ok, Soojinah?"
"Ummm... ahhh..." she clears her throat before turning away. "Yes..."
Soojin's eyes start to narrow as she sees something that doesn't appeal to her again. Soyeon noticed it and decided to make a profit out of it.
"Oh Look!" Soyeon turns Soojin making sure that she faces Shuhua who's talking to what looks like some fangirls... "Awww... that's so cute... Shuhua have fans..."
"Whatever." Soojin snaps back before getting up.
*
"Where is Shuhua?"
Instead of replying, everyone in Shuhua's class froze as the leader of their school, the super awesome Seo Soojin, asked them.
"T-there... Sunbaenim..."
All the girls pointed to the corner of the backstage...
"Thank you..." Soojin says quietly and walks to the back.
*
"Shuhua?"
Even if Yuqi was her sister, Soojin didn't like that somebody else was tending to Shuhua other than her.
"Soojin!!!!" Shuhua wants to jump up but cringes and sits back down again...
"What happened?"
"She twisted her ankle while we were rehearsing... I'm going to..."
"No... I'll do it..." Soojin took the ice pack from her sister's hand and kneels down in front of Shuhua.
"Ok... I'll go ahead... see you later..." Yuqi walks ahead...
"Seriously Shuhua? Dancing even with your bummed foot?" Soojin reprimanded...
Shuhua turns her gaze down, hoping she had impressed Soojin but obviously Soojin doesn't seem to be.
"I'm sorry..." Shuhua mumbles in apology.
And it made Soojin stop and think a bit. Why was she so hard on the girl?
"You have nothing to be sorry about..." Soojin says "I'm just worried... I don't like you getting hurt..."
*
"I'm sorry we have to spend our first date at the clinic, Soojin."
The two girls have been waiting in the clinic for almost an hour but Shuhua has not been tended to yet.
"I could call Minnie unnie... you don't have to-"
But Shuhua's words trailed away, as she was suddenly speechless when Soojin wraps her hand around her

A Virtual Invasion
An invasion from another dimension is shut down by an Empire's traitor and the world has a scant few decades to build the strength to resist a multidimensional Empire. How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
