《The Island Princess (Edmund Pevensie x Reader)》14

I woke up to the sound of a knock on the door and Peter's voice.
I swear, people knocking on my door has become a regular thing and I like it.
"Y/N?" Peter called out my name as he knocked on my door.
"what do you waaaaant??" I groaned as I tried to cover my head under the pillow hoping it would minimize the sound... or completely mute it.
Peter knocked again,"Have you seen Edmund? He isn't in his room.".
Edmund and I sat up at almost an instant . We look at each other in a panic. What do we do?!
"Uh-" I say trying to think of an explanation. "I uh- I-"
Then Edmund did weird and funny gestures with his hands. He was probably trying to tell me what to say although he was doing them too fast, I couldn't decipher even one.
"What the heck was that? Are you trying to cast a spell on him or something?" I whispered to him.
"What?" Peter shouted from the other side.
"Just tell him you don't know where I am." he whispered back.
I faced the door, "H-how could I kn-know?! I just w-woke up... because you woke me up!"
"Oh sorry. I'm just worried." Peter apologized. "I'll uh. I'll get going."
Edmund and I exhaled out of relief.
That was close.
"You think it's safe if we sleep together?" Edmund asked me.
Is he insane!? We've only been "dating" for a day! "W-what?! What are y-you talking a-about?!" I exclaimed as my cheeks turned red.
A confused expression formed on his face."Huh?" he asked. Not long after, his confused expression turned into a mischievous smirk. "I didn't mean that. I meant literally sleep together."
I gasped and turned even more red."O-oh. Yeah, I knew that."
I totally didn't.
"Is someone being just a little naughty today?" he asked flirtatiously.
"Ha. Ha. Very funny." I answered sarcastically as I threw a pillow in his face.
"You need to go somewhere else and pretend you've been there all morning." I told him as I stood up from my bed.
"I need to change."
"So when are we going to talk about the sleeping situation?" Edmund said with a smirk.
I blushed and leaned in closer to him, merely inches apart. "When were alone." I said seductively.
I then quickly took another pillow and hit his face with it. I laughed at him and he smiled as he pinned me down the bed.
"You can't hit me with a pillow if you can't move." He winked.
"Alright, you win but you need to go." I chuckled as he let me go.
He kissed my cheek before sneaking out of the room. I watched him and smiled.
I looked at my rose on the desk, which had now looked even more red than yesterday. Botany suddenly hit me and I put it the flower in a jar of water to slow down the withering process.
I changed my clothes and went out.
Lucy suddenly came running to my direction and pulled me back into the room. She locked the doors and looked at me.
"Umm, good morning?" I said, confused.
Instead of answering, Lucy looked at me dead in the eye. She marched closer to me and looked me up and down.
She stayed like that for a couple of seconds.
A wide grin formed on her face. "Y/N! YOU GUYS ARE TOGETH-mmmMmm". I covered her mouth to shush her.

"Lucy!" I scolded her.
"MmmmMm." she tried to speak as muffled sounds came out of her mouth.
"Oh sorry." I said as I removed my hand from her mouth.
"Sorry Y/N." she giggled. "I'm just so excited for you!"
"Excited? Why?" I asked her, hoping she didn't know about Edmund and I.
"Hmm, it's about a certain someone and my brother, Edmund." She winked. "I guess it's time to spill the beans since I already know." She stated.
"What do you know?" I say trying to see if she was talking about the relationship we have.
"You and Edmund are together now. Right?" she said as she gleamed with pride.
I blushed "Oh that-".
Then I remembered, no one was supposed to know about it.
I wanted to tell her, I really did. I just wanted to take precautions. It would also be best if we were to announce it to everyone, instead of just one, and she'd be announcing it to everyone.
I quickly composed myself. "Lucy," I told her. "Like I said, there is nothing between your brother and I. If there was, I would tell you. But since there isn't anything between us, I don't think I have anything to 'spill the beans about'."
I hated lying. But this was for the good of our relationship.
"Hmm. Really?" she said as she inspected my room, hoping to find anything she could use against me, I guess.
"Then what's that rose doing on your desk?" she asked as she put her hands on her waist.
I looked at the rose, looked back at her and giggled. "I picked that for myself! Isn't it beautiful?"
"You picked a rose for yourself?" Lucy asked worriedly. "I think you need to pick up the pace with my brother."
I rolled my eyes at her. "I'll try.".
"Well, I'm here if you need help!" she said as she walked out my door. "I'm sorry for assuming things."
As the door closed I felt so relieved.
I took one last look at my flower and went on my way.
When I went out my room, I saw Edmund being scolded by Peter. Edmund looked so tired of his scolding.
He looked over at my direction and smiled. I waved at him and gave him a thumbs up (for bearing with his scolding.).
. . .
It had been a few days since we've found any sign of land. Seas were rough at night and quiet in the day.
Edmund and I were almost inseparable, which was not what we should be right now. We knew that and we were careful.
"Land Ho!" shouted a crew member.
I walked over to the face of the ship. I saw an island. It was a big island with some architecture and structures of sorts, big enough for humans to live in. There was only one problem though... it was too quiet.
Caspian, Peter, The Professor and Edmund also went to see what the Island looked like.
"The Lone Islands." said the Professor as he walked to the opposite end of the ship. "Its Narrowhaven."
"I suggest we send a search party." Edmund proposed.
"And if we aren't back by Dawn, send other people." added Peter.
Susan ran to us. "What's going on?"
I whispered to Susan. "They're talking about the Lone Islands."
"Who's going to go with us?" asked Caspian.
I faced them. "I want to come."

Edmund protested, "It's too dangero-"
"I can handle myself." I interrupted Edmund and shot him a
Peter-and-Caspian-are-here-so-shut-up look. "May I remind you, King Edmund, I beat you in a sword battle. I can easily defend myself."
"Alright. Y/N is coming with us." Peter announced.
Edmund looked at Peter in disapproval. "Peter, you can't let-".
"I'm coming." added Susan.
Edmund groaned.
"I want to come too." Lucy said as she walked up to us. "If Y/N and Susan comes then I want to come. Besides, I have a dagger."
Edmund slumped. "You have got to be kiddi-"
"We still don't know who or what lives there. So be prepared." said Caspian.
I ran back into my room and changed into some pants, boots and a blouse for movement. I picked up my sword and recollected with the group.
Half of the crew stayed on the ship, while the other half came with us. We took three boats to step foot on the island. One boat with Caspian, Lucy, Edmund, Peter, Susan and I. The other boats were used by the crew.
When we were on the Island, it didn't feel like an Island at all. It was dead quiet.
We ventured further into the island. There were houses and places made from rock. You would think that since we were in a village now, it would have more life and sound. No. It was still silent, it was almost deafening.
"Where are all the people?" asked Lucy.
I inspected the houses and looked inside of the windows. There was a small family huddling close together. Not in a loving way, but in a fearful way.
"Are you guys alright?" I whispered to them. But they just looked at me, frightened.
What happened here?
"Y/N!" Susan nudged. "Come on!"
"I have to go now. Take care." I whispered to the family and recollected with the group.
Susan and I ran in front of a big building-like structure. It had a big door and it was being guarded by a crew member. Susan and I went inside and we saw the rest.
"There aren't any people. How are we supposed to look for witnesses if we can't ask anyone?" Peter asked.
"I saw a family hiding in a house. They looked really scared. As if they were trying to protect themselves from something." I informed them. "They didn't answer me when I asked them if they were okay."
"Maybe there are other people here, they're just hiding. We can ask them." suggested Caspian.
"But we need to reassure them that we won't hurt them. Otherwise they'll get even more scared." added Susan..
"Y/N, show us the house." asked Peter.
Just then, we heard a bell ring. It was a big bell, it sounded like a church bell.
I ignored the Bell and just ran outside.
Edmund suddenly shouted. "Wait! Y/N!".
As soon as I step foot outside the building, four men cornered me and they had a sickeningly sadistic grin on their face. I was stunned and looked back at the rest.
Was this a trap?
Lucy was being held back, Susan was using her bow and arrow. Edmund, Peter, Caspian and the rest of the crew fought these other men.
I got my sword and tried to defend myself. It was difficult because it was one against four but I tried to stay focused.
I swiftly hit my sword with one of the men, then kicking him, to get him off balance. That was quick. They aren't very well trained. This should be easy. I then focus of two of the men who were trying to mirror and interpret my every move. The other man, bigger than the rest was also on my tail, so I had to plan this strategically but quickly. I was able to injure one of the three men on his knee. Two left. I swordfight with the two men and manage to get them off my track.
Relieved and exhausted, I run inside to try and help the others, but I tripped and fell on the ground.
It was the first guy I took down. I should've injured him, knocking him off balance was too easy.
He kicked my sword out of reach, harshy stood me up and punched my gut. I release a tight patch of air out of pain. I shot him a dirty look. "Do I look ...like a pig... to you?" I asked the disgusting man looking at him, the most infuriating way possible.
"No, but you will be eventually." the man said with a sickening smirk. He turned me around, my back facing him. One arm he used around my neck a tightened it slowly. The other arm he used to secure both of my arms in place.
I saw Peter, Caspian and Edmund losing, desperately trying to protect themselves and save Lucy. Susan caught my eye, five men were cornering her and her bow and arrow were also out of her reach. They managed to grab a hold of her. She was trying her best to wriggle her way out, I guess?
The men that were grabbing ahold of Susan, Lucy and I, met up in the center of the room, in front of Peter, Caspian and Edmund. They all covered our mouths so we wouldn't be able to talk.
"Susan." Caspian said as he saw her in the clutches of someone else.
"Lucy." Peter said worriedly, he could only watch his youngest sister be treated like she wasnt a person.
They were forced to stop fighting. Edmund took one look at me and the man holding me and marched right up to him. His sword slighty pressing onto his neck.
Edmund looked into the man's eyes. "Let. Her. Go.".
We then heard a distant slow clap. It was another man in all black. "Three beautiful ladies." he said as he let out a laugh as he approached Lucy.
"Dont you dare lay your filthy hands on her!" Peter shouted.
The man proceeded to walk to Susan's direction.
"If you lay a finger on her-" Caspian threatened.
"She is pretty." The man said as he inspected Susan.
He then walked to my direction and looked me up and down.
"Well, well, well," He said as he gave me a sadistic smirk.
He was about to caress my face when Edmund shouted, "DO NOT TOUCH HER.".
The whole room faced us.
The man looked at Edmund and looked back at me. The disgusting person leaned in closer to me, I tried to move my head away from him as far as possible but the hand covering my mouth didn't let me.
"You are quite the catch. I'll earn plenty with you." The man said.
"What do you mean?" Edmund asked. "Where are you taking them?!".
"They'll be up for sale."

Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent

Rebirth of Destiny I
In a world where magical runes called Rebirths rest in the hands of hostile nations, fourteen-year-old Aiden lived a quiet life in a small town conveniently named Khalm. Born with crescent-shaped irises and silver hair, young Aiden was never bothered by his unusual birthmarks until the night his life as a simple delivery boy changed. He was the 'Rebirth Destroyer', someone ruling powers deemed a threat. Chased by death and the foretelling of the world ending by his hands, Aiden soon finds that there are few people he can trust. My stories are fantasy-based and heavily influenced by classic Final Fantasy games ( by classic I mean 1-10 ) and other Japanese Role-Playing Games I used to enjoy, with one difference; the main characters are Black. July 2022 update! After months of deliberation, I've decided to continue with this cast of characters in the next books instead. The loose ends in this story have been keeping me up all night. I've gotten started on 2 sequels to this; Rebirth of Destiny II based on the good ending and the alternative ending. After I get a good backlog built up they'll be published once a week.
