Miguel Fernandez paced the room and shouted orders to his men. He has been like this since he found out that Cassandra escaped on their wedding day.

"Te pedí que encontrarla! No vuelva a menos que tenga Cassandra con usted! No le hagas daño o de lo contrario te mataré!" I ordered you to find her! Do not return unless you have Cassandra with you! Do not hurt her or else I will kill you!"

He and his family were humiliated and disgraced. He brought this upon himself. Because of his selfishness.

His only desire was to have her. He wanted her the day he met her.

They were schoolmates in Harvard. They were both from Spain but never did she notice him the way he wanted her to. She was always aloof and distant. He wanted to befriend her to gain her trust so he always made it a point to sit beside her during their classes and tell her stories about himself.

She listened to his stories but he felt that she was only being polite. He asked her several times to go out on a date but she always declined. For the long years that he tried to court her, she was cold and unresponsive. She always tell him that she is focusing on her studies. She does not have time for romance and love. She goes out once in a while with her study buddies but always in a group. She never went out on a date with a guy. Miguel made sure of that.

Many guys tried to approach her but he was always one step ahead. He will threaten any guy who wanted to be close to her. If the guy do not budge, he beat them up to ensure that his point will be understood. Cassandra was his and his alone. He was very possessive of her. Cassandra did not know what he did to those men.

After they finished school and went back to Spain, he plotted his next move. He made sure that his plan will work. He thought he will succeed after ensuring that her family's company get bankrupt.

He paid a group of board of directors and some staff from Lopez Financing a hefty amount of money plus some shares from his own company. All they had to do was embezzle money and ensure that Cassandra or her parents will never notice.

The plan worked. Lopez Financing was on the verge of bankruptcy and he executed the second phase of his plan. To convince his father to propose a merger of the two companies. The best way to do that was for him to marry Cassandra.

At first, his father did not agree. But Miguel will never take no for an answer when it concerns Cassandra.

His plan was perfectly put into motion, until she ran away.

Now, he does not know where to find her. He searched the whole of Madrid just to find out where she was. All the airlines and transportations were searched. Everyone was being investigated but they still have no lead.

Cassandra is very smart. She left her phone, her credit cards and other things that could be tracked. Even her best friend Sammy swore to not know anything. At first he did not believe her but after searching all their properties where she may hid her, he knew she was telling the truth. Cassandra do not have any way to leave the country. It was like she disappeared off the grid.

The only lead they had was the security guard that Cassandra used to escape. But even him cannot give them any clues. He was not even aware that his drinks were spiked with sleeping pills.

Miguel drowned himself with whiskey in hope to ease his heartache. The hurt of her rejection and the humiliation is nothing compared to the agony of not knowing whether she is safe or not.

"Mi amor, where could you be? Please be alright. I did not want for this to happen. All I want was to be with you and prove to you that I love you. Why do you have to be so stubborn? Why can't you see me the way I want you to?"

Looking at all the pictures he had of Cassandra, he vowed that when he finds her, he will make sure that she will never escape from him again.
