(Foxy's p.o.v)
There I sit, in my cove, darkness and silence my only friends. Just like in '87, after I bit my friend. I don't deserve sympathy, or friends, or anyone to care about me. I'm a dumb pirate, and that's all I'll ever be. Luckily we're getting a new nightguard tonight, I'll take my anger out on that poor bastard. Finally midnight rolled around, I give it a few hours. At 3am, I peek out of my curtain, looking at the camera. It's not activated, bad mistake, I get out of the curtain, looking down the hall. The door is wide open, perfect, I grin and run down the hall, jumping into the door. I yell in my high pitched scream then immediately stop. It was my first mate.. Mikey.
(Mike's p.o.v)
The Fox.. he seemed, familiar.. but I didn't remember. He oddly enough stopped screaming. "Uh.. hi..?" I manage to muster out. "Hi lad.. long time no see.." the fox says. "Do I know you..?"
"Ye don't remember..? It be me, Foxy!"
"Fraid I don't.."
"Oh.. well uh.. we be old friends.."
"Well wanna hang out?"
"Why sure laddy!"
Foxy gives a toothy grin, as I smile. Huh, he's cute, I mean for a robot fox of course. I pull up a chair for him and pat it with a smile, as he sits. "So.. ye forgive me?" Foxy asked.
"Of course."
"Really..?"
"Yup!"
I smile, although wondering what he was speaking of, although I didn't really question it. He was my friend after all, he'd never hurt me.

Note: This is my first time writing a novel, so my writing style might be a little rough around the edges sometimes, especially the first twelve are still amateur style. I'll probably rewrite them at some point... later perhaps. Also, the MC will be introduced in chapter 13. The first twelve chapters are more of an introduction to the world, so they bear little significance to the main story. Still, I recommend reading it if you want to get a better view of the world. Chapter releases once every four days.

As thanks, the old man gives him a medallion and warns him not to put it in strawberry lemonade or bad things will happen. Tobias heads home and, finding all his siblings there, tells them about the medallion and the ominous warning the old man gave him. Ignatius, being an idiot, snatches the medallion and plops it into his glass of strawberry lemonade before Tobias can stop him. A second later and Tobias sitting in some strange land with purple grass, a greenish sky, and a faded, blue sun. Unfortunately for him, a giant tortoise looking thing running right at him, sharp teeth bared and horns ready to gut him. It’s by sheer luck that a slime comes along and just absorbs the thing or...whatever it is that slimes do with their food. Tobias fears that he's going to face the same fate until the slime speaks. ”Oh? Is this a human? I should probably kill you...Before I do, let me ask you something. Do you like potatoes?”
