Two months flew by. I spent Christmas at Spencer's apartment. We went to Rossi's for New Years. He let me invite some of my friends and we all spent the night getting to know each other; taking turns telling crazy stories. I remember watching Spencer laugh with Kate. Kimi sat in awe of the stories JJ and her husband were telling her. Josh was in the kitchen with Rossi, listening as he explained the meal he was preparing for everyone. Hotch approached me and handed me a glass of wine. He told me stories about Spencer and I couldn't help but smile the whole time.

How did I get so lucky?

Today is March 20th. It's my birthday. I told Spencer that I didn't want to celebrate, but I knew he was probably planning something anyway. He was too sweet for his own good.

It was just a normal day to me. I went to work like usual. While I was sitting at the front desk, I started to zone out.

Was this my life? Working in the library? I loved my job, but recently I'd been feeling like I needed something more. My boyfriend works in the FBI for god sake! And I just sit at this desk and scan books and put them away. I could be doing more. I spent all that time and money at school. What if I left? What if I did something with that degree? I could finally do what I'd been planning to do all along. I could help people. Just like Spencer. These thoughts had been coming by more and more often since the incident.

"There's the birthday girl!" Atticus called, walking in the doors and towards me. I smiled. "How old is it now?"

I sighed. "33."

"That's still young," he said with a big smile. "I got you a little something." He held out a small bag to me.

"Atticus, you didn't have to." I took the gift from him.

"I wanted to. I know you've been through a lot..." he trailed off and looked down. "You were there for me when I was going through a hard time. It's the least I could do."

"Thank you. That's very sweet." I opened the bag and pulled out what was inside. It was a snow globe. It looked like an ordinary winter forest scene until you looked closer. There was a little tardis with a little David Tennant poking his head out. I laughed. "I love it! Thank you!"

"I'm glad! You're more than welcome." He gave me a hug before walking off into the back office. I gave the globe a nice shake and watched the snow and glitter float down.

I took a cab to Spencer's apartment from work. I wasn't living at my old apartment anymore. I had tried to go back, but I just couldn't bare it. It took me a while to get comfortable at work again too. But always having Atticus or Jamie there helped. As well as the security guard that they had hired to stand at the doorway.

I used the key that he had given me to unlock the door and let myself inside. I locked it behind me and set my things on the table. Spencer wouldn't be home for another hour or so. I showered and got changed. I was about to start some tea when I got a call from my parents. I sat on the couch and talked with them for a long time, just catching up.

My mum was in the middle of some story about her neighbor's cat when I heard the door unlock. I looked at the door to see Spencer walking in. His hair was getting long again so that it curled around his ears. I gave him a smile and a wave and he returned the gesture. He took off his coat and started to get settled. He gave me a kiss of the head as he walked past to go to the bedroom.

"Well, mum, Spencer just got home so I should probably head off....I love you, too....Thanks mum. Talk to you soon." She hung up and I let out a breath.

Spencer walked out of bedroom. He had changed into more comfortable clothes. He was cute. And he was hiding something behind your back.

"I know you didn't want to go out or have a party or anything tonight so we aren't doing that. I'm gonna cook us dinner and we're gonna watch Doctor Who."

"Baby! That sounds perfect!"

"Good! But! I did get you a gift." He held out what he was hiding. It was some sort of package. It wasn't wrapped the best, so I knew he'd done it himself.

"What is it?"

"Open it and see!" he said, laughing. He gave it to me and joined me on the couch. I opened the package carefully, trying to guess what it could be.

It was a box of some sort. Like one you would use when gifting clothes. I opened it to see a familiar sweater folded neatly.

"This is your sweater, Spence."

"You've always said it's your favorite and you steal it all the time, so I thought you should have it." I laughed and lifted it out of the box. "Besides, you look better in it than I do."

I leaned over to kiss his cheek. "Thank you, baby."

"That's not all!" I set the sweater to the side and saw that there was in fact something else in the package. A small box was sitting there. It must've been hidden under the sweater. I lifted it and opened the top. What was inside took my breath away.

"Spencer, I-" I lifted the necklace from the box, admiring the beautiful design of the diamonds. "I don't know what to say."

"If you don't like it we can go and exchange it for a different one. I tried to guess and I wanted sure-"

"I love it. So much. This is so amazing, Spence."

"You really like it?"

"Of course!" I held it out to him and he smiled before putting it around my neck for me. I looked down at it. "Thank you."

Spence made us pasta (a recipe he got from Rossi) and I put on his box set of Tom Baker's Doctor Who episodes. I placed the snow globe from Atticus in an empty space on one of the many bookcases that filled the living area. We ate our food on the couch, chatting between moments of awe at the events of the show. Even though we'd both seen every episode countless times, we always got the same excited feelings when watching the show. Especially watching it together.

After about 5 episodes, we turned the show off. Spencer had his arms around me and we were just talking about random things. His work, my work, our plans for the future.

"Gracie, I know that you've been wanting to get into the psychology field. And I think it's a great idea." I smiled. "Soooo, I spoke to a few of the people Quantico-"

"Spencer, I can't be a profiler! I can't do what you do." I said. "I don't think I'm even qualified"

"No, Gracie! Don't worry. That's not what this is." He placed a hand on mine. "There are a few openings for counselors. For the agents."

"Oh..." I trailed off, thinking about what he was saying.

"You have first hand experience and you're an incredible listener. You've helped me so much and I know you could help a lot of the other agents."

"Thank you, Spence." I blushed.

"Or if you don't want to do that, I know a few people that have connections to other practices in the area that aren't run by the FBI. They could be good options."

"You've really been asking for me?"

"Of course. I want you to be happy. And I know that you'll be happy doing your dream job." I could feel my throat tighten. "If I can even help a little bit in making you happier, I'll do anything."

"Oh, Spence. You already make me the happiest person on Earth." I leaned forward to kiss him, placing a gentle hand on his jaw. His long arms wrapped around my waist.

He pulled away enough to speak. "I love you, Grace."

"I love you too, Spence." I gave him another quick peck. "Can you get me in contact with the Quantico people?"

"Really? Are you sure?" He perked up and smiled, his eyes wide. I took only a second longer to think about. To be sure.

I had to take a chance on myself.

"Yeah, really." He kissed me again, harder. I laughed against his lips.

How did I get so lucky?
