I wake up do a loud knocking on my door. I look at my phone to see it's almost seven in the morning. I let out a sigh. Who the hell is knocking on my door so early? I walk to my front door and swing it open to reveal a smiling Matthew holding two coffees in his hand.
"It's too early." I mumble and rub my eyes.
"I meant it when I said I wanted us to spend the day together." He says as I let him in.
"My day doesn't start for another four hours." I mumble as I head back to my room. I crawl into my warm bed and I see him standing in my doorway. I pat the spot next to me and he shakes his head still holding the coffees. I let out a whine and he only laughs.
"Just cuddle me for a bit." I smile and I watch as he thinks about it for a bit. Matthew takes his shoes off and heads over to the side of the bed that I had patted.
"Only for a little bit." He wraps his arms around me and I snuggle into his side. His usual smell of coffee and pine fills my senses. I feel my body relax and his warmth makes me drift in and out of sleep.
"Your coffee is getting cold." He nudges me. I just let out a sigh in response. I feel him tap my temple. I look up at him.
"What're you doing?" I ask and he shrugs his shoulders.
"Making sure you're not falling asleep."
I roll my eyes and sit up, "Fine, pass me my coffee, please."
He passes me my cup and I smile at him. He remembered my order. I stare down at the cup in my hand, and ignore the small amount of pain creeping into me. This isn't forever I keep reminding myself. Just like Los Angeles.

"What's wrong?" He rubs my back. I didn't even realize I was crying until he brushes a tear away.
"You remembered my order." I lie and force out a laugh. Matthew takes the cup from my hands and places it back onto the bedside table.
"There's something else going on, kid. C'mon, you can tell me." Matthew comforts me by wrapping his arms around me.
"I guess I'm just tired because someone decided to rip me out of my bed." I smile and change the subject. His eyes search my face for the truth he's looking for.
"What do you have planned for us then?" I say before getting up and heading to my closet to look for something to wear. I turn my head to see him still staring at me.
"Do you know how much I care about you?" He asks and I let out a laugh shaking my head.
"So, what should I wea-"
"I'm serious, Lydia. I care so much about you it's unreal." He furrows his eyebrows at my response to him. He moves so he's sitting on the edge of my bed. I walk over to him and stand in between his legs. I run my hands through his soft brown curls and his arms wrap around my waist as I do. I lean down to press a kiss on his forehead.
"You know what? I've changed my mind. Let's spend our day together here." He tells me and I cock my head.
"Are you sure?" I ask and he nods his head.
"I just want to spend time with you. No distractions. I just want you here in my arms." He yanks me back onto the bed. I let out giggles as he does. I'm laying on top of him and his hand is softly scratching my back. I close my eyes and let his warmth wash over me.

I glance at the clock to see it's nearing eight at night. Matthew and I haven't left my bed since I woke up hours ago. We've just been talking to each other about our lives. The futures we want.
I've found out that our planned futures sound similar. We both want to leave the city and settle down to have some kids. I want two, and Matthew wants four.
He mentioned that his wife never wants kids. She never has and never will. I wonder why he hasn't left her. Matthew has explained multiple times how unhappy he is with his marriage.
"I adore you." He whispers and I look up at him from the takeout in my lap.
"You said it at the hotel, and it kind of just stuck with me." He takes another bite of his food.
"I adore you too." I say back and a soft smile crosses his face. I keep denying the inevitable, but I decide to face it anyway.
"W-What time do you have to get home tonight?" I ask and he nonchalantly shrugs.
"I don't." He states. I furrow my eyebrows at him.
"I don't have to leave until tomorrow night."
I smile to myself and finish my take out. I notice he's done with his, so I take his styrofoam box from him and take it to the trash can in my kitchen. I turn around to see him leaning against the door frame.
"Can I help you?" I ask and walk up to him. I stare up into his eyes, and they're darker than usual. He crashes his lips onto mine and I willingly oblige. I take his face in my hands and his hands wander down to my butt. I let out a soft moan and I can feel him smile through the kiss.
Matthew reaches down to my thighs and pulls me up so my legs are wrapped around his waist. He pushes me against the wall and my arms interlock around his neck. Matthew takes us back into my room and tosses me onto my bed. Our lips part so he can take off the sweater he's wearing.
He leans back down, "I adore you, Lydia." He whispers before his lips interlock with mine.

Dream of the Abyss
Elisa Mary Grant died in a hospital bed after being stuck in it for six months, and like any other, her soul drifted away from her husk when she passed. For her, death was a release. It merely meant that she no longer have to wake up in pain, breathing through tubes and have doctors flood her veins with dubious chemicals for “experimental treatment”. Free from her mortal constraints and useless body, she felt… at peace, serene, even. Death is bliss, after all, when objectively living sucked to the point of extreme. Therefore, there was no reason to mourn at all and she knew she definitely didn't. ... That was until, on her way for a proper reincarnation, she found herself rudely interrupted and left stranded in the great NoWhere. “Wonderful,” she remarked as she floated in the [Beyond], “Just when I thought that suicide is the answer.” Author's note: Updates every Tuesday-Wednesday, probably some time in between. ... P.S Notes: Contains existential questions and nihilistic themes, rather philosophical. Will be rather sluggish until the MC gets her shit together. P.SS Notes: Story takes time to develop. And maybe uncomfortable. It's not gonna be action-packed or filled with battles, I think. Anyway, it is kinda unusual. P. SSS Notes: It is not LitRpg. Don't be fooled.

There was something Freudian in this, but Felix had a weak spot for women like his mother - outwardly soft and gentle, but strong and hard on the inside. And it was exactly the impression Ladybug left him with.Felix was smart enough to put two and two together.Maybe he still needed some proves, that would confirm his suspicions for 100%.
