"James Ivory, 23, just finished his masters degree in chemical engineering, 1st in his class at University of Michigan," Garcia explained.

"Ok so he's smart." Derek muttered. Garcia rolled her eyes and squeezed Spencer's hand.

"Went to primary and secondary school with Y/N, graduated 3rd in his high school class," Garcia continued. "Oh boy, he was obsessed with her."

"How obsessed?"

"He asked her out every other week and she always turned him down. He asked her to every school dance and she said no. He would bring her coffee every morning before school. He would get her elaborate gifts."

"James has to be the unsub. Obsessive, consistently rejected. But why now? Why kidnap her now? What's the trigger?" JJ asked, crossing her arms.

Spencer began to cry. "It's all my fault," he muttered.

Derek squeezed his shoulder. "No it's not."

Spencer looked up and shook his head. "Yes it is. I was the trigger. We ran into him last Christmas and I had to open my big mouth. I called myself her fiancée."

"Her being taken by someone that wasn't him made him angry," Hotch muttered.

"But why now? This was a year and a half ago."

"I don't know. But he's the only one I could think ok," Spencer said in a low voice.

"Garcia, get me an address on James. We're going to pay him a visit," Hotch ordered, standing up. Spencer followed, being blocked by Hotch's arm. "Not you, you're too close to this. You and JJ stay here with Garcia and find his whereabouts last night."

"Hotch," Spencer argued.

"No Reid. You stay here. That's an order."

Spencer wanted to argue by knew he wouldn't win. He nodded, sitting down. JJ engulfed him in another hug. "We'll find her Spence. We won't stop until she's back home."

Spencer nodded and closed his eyes. "I miss her."

Garcia made a loud squealing noise, causing both Spencer and JJ to look up. "James is in DC right now. He started working for a major chemical company last week."

"So that's why he kidnapped her now? Because she was accessible?"

"I believe so," Garcia said as Spencer stood up and walked out of the room. He needed coffee. And sleep. But coffee was the better option.

He walked out and locked eyes with Hotch. Derek asked behind him, pushing James into an interrogation room. Spencer breathed heavily, following the two. "Spencer," Derek warned. "Let us handle it. You may set him off."

Spencer sighed angrily, crossing his arms. Hotch entered the room and sat down, dropping a file onto the table. "Alright James, you and I both know why we're here."

"No, I don't know. You busted into my home and put me under arrest. Why am I here?"

"You kidnapped Y/F/N. You're obsessed with her and decided to take her. If you can't have her, no one can right?"

"Kidnap her? No, why would I kidnap her? Sure, I had a crush on her. Maybe bigger than a crush. But that was in middle and high school. She's engaged to that doctor. Or they may even be married now. Who knows?"

"Why is it that one week after you moved to D.C., she goes missing?"

"I don't know. Isn't she in school in Boston? I heard she went to MIT for graduate school."

"Who told you that?" Spencer said, barging in.**

"Susie. Susan Lipoli," James said, looking up. "Hey, you're her fiancée right?"

Hotch glared at Spencer and pulled him out of the room. "I told you not to come in."

"Hotch, every minute she's missing is another minute she's closer to death."

"Reid, don't think like that."

"He didn't do it," JJ said, interrupting. "It's not him."

"It has to be."

"JJ's right. It's not him," Hotch confirmed. "We all want to find her but it's not him. Garcia just sent his cell records. He was meeting someone for dinner last night in Maryland."

"Anyone else you can think of Spence?" JJ asked.

"I'm calling Nate and Lola. They've known her for her entire life," Spencer muttered. Thirty minutes later they came rushing in, Lola wrapping Spencer in a hug.

"I'm so sorry Spencer. I'm sure she's fine, ok? I'm sure we'll find her."

"She's tough Spencer. She'll be fine. We will find her," Nate echoed. Spencer nodded and released Lola, tears welling in his eyes. He hoped he would find you soon. He missed you dearly.

"I'm going to need names of anyone that has disliked Y/N within her life. Anyone that she's ever wronged, any person she's ever dated, anyone that has ever been jealous of her, I need it all," Rossi said, sitting down with Spencer and your two best friends.

"Y/N never dated anyone, until this one over here," Nate said, elbowing Spencer. Spencer smiled lightly, looking down. "And she's genuinely a kind person. There's not a lot of people shes ever gotten on the wrong foot with."

"Yeah, she's not very big on drama," Lola confirmed. "The only person I can think of that she ever had beef with would be Susie."

"Susan Lipoli?" Hotch asked, lifting a file folder.

"Yeah. Y/N and her were always neck in neck for grades. Susie was salutatorian," Lola continued.

"Yeah, she was really upset about Y/N getting into Georgetown. It was her parents alma mater but they only accepted one kid from our high school. Y/N got in and Susie didn't." Nate elaborated.

Spencer stood up and walked into the interrogation room. "What's your relationship with Susan Lipoli?" He asked James, sitting down.

"She's my fiancée."

"Did she move to D.C. with you?"

"No, she's been living here for a year. I ended up moving down here at her request," James said, sitting up. "What's going on? Am I being tried with something?"

"This is an active kidnapping case. And, you seem to be an accessory," Derek said, entering the room. "Tell us everything about Susan and we'll go easy on you."

"I'm telling you, I wasn't even in the area yesterday. I was getting dinner with a college friend."

"So you just happen to be out of the district the night she goes missing?" Spencer asked, standing up. "How lucky for you."

"I didn't even want to go. Susan pushed me to see my college buddies, saying that I should make time for them," James argued, slamming his hand on the table. Derek looked at Spencer and raised an eyebrow, tilting his head.

They walked out of the room, leaving James to complain in the room. "He's innocent Reid."

"Yeah, I know. It's just that he's the only one here for me to blame."

"That's understandable man. But I think this Susan angle is worth following. Let's go and get Garcia to find everything about her."

Spencer nodded and made his way to the Round table room, seeing Garcia crying as she looked at the computer. Spencer's heart fell as he rushed over, looking over her shoulder. Nate and Lola followed, huddling around the computer.

"She's ok, Reid. She's a little bruised but she's ok," Garcia muttered, clicking play on the video. Spencer watched as you sat, tied to a chair, mascara smeared down your face. Your lip was busted and your hair was unruly, but you were ok for the most part.

"Tell him," a voice urged. You shook your head, crying lightly. "Tell him or I'll kill him."

"I never loved you Spencer. I used you, used you so I could make Nate jealous. And it worked," you said sobbing. Spencer tensed, staring at the screen. "I slept with Nate. I lied when I said you were my first. Nate was. It was the night we all went to the Italian restaurant. After you went home, Nate came over and it just happened. That's when I realized I didn't love you."

Spencer clenched his jaw, turning to see Nate shaking his head. "That didn't happen. Spencer, I swear to god that never happened. Y/N is like a sister to me," he defended. Spencer shook his head, breathing deeply, before clenching his fist and throwing a punch.
