A/n: My apologies for taking a while to update, been really busy lol, but here is a long chapter for the wait. ;)
Previously on, Chapter 2...
You had been accepted for the job.
-
You and Leith just sat there in silence, trying to comprehend what just happened. "How the fuck did they hire you?! You have zero experience with being a professional caretaker, AND WITH KILLERS?!" Leith spoke up, tears brimming her eyes.
"I don't know." You breathed, still in shock. "Can you quit?!" She asked, taking the computer from your hands and frantically looking for something. "Yes, but the question is, will it affect my chances at other jobs?" You looked at her, eyebrows creasing. "Fuck that! These are killers, y/n! Fucking cold hearted killers!" She waved her hands around to emphasize her point.
"Alright, I'll email them." You nodded, taking the computer back from her. She sighed in relief, "Thank you for not being stupid."
"Oh god." You wailed.
"What?" She piped up, looking at the computer. You pointed to a sentence in the contract you were signed.
"WHAT THE FUCK!" Leith yelled. "YOU CAN'T LEAVE FOR TWO YEARS?! WHO THE HELL DOES THAT?!" Leith stood up, pacing back and forth, muttering about legal action and stuff. You just stood there dumbfounded, "It says it's a special case because these are killers, and they're desperate at the moment." You closed your eyes, feeling dread wash over you.
"Why did I have to dare you to do this? It's all my fault." She cried. Your eyes shot open "It's not your fault! My dumbass just didn't read the contract correctly!" Knowing both of you would continue arguing taking the blame, you both gave up.
It was five minutes later of letting reality sink in, you were in each others arms, thinking about how the future would be.
"Y/n." Leith called, you looked up at her and saw tears in her eyes. "What's wrong?" You asked rubbing comforting circles on her back, "You do understand this puts everyone you know in danger?" Leith refused to meet your gaze, your blood ran cold.
You didn't think of it before, you were involved with killers god knows what they'll find out about you and if they'll kill your family and friends. You choked on a sob, "Oh god, Leith I'm so sor-" "Don't finish that sentence." She interrupted you. "I won't let some goddamn killers touch your family or mine, I didn't train with my father for no reason."
Her father was in the military, a general at that. And you now knew why Leith always gave you a reassuring presence, that you always felt protected around her. You sniffled, "I think I'm gay for you." She chuckled "Me too."
The rest of the night included you both comforting each other, watching corny movies to get the feeling of dread out of your bodies and eating your favorite ice cream.
The next morning unease washed over you, you just wanted to stay in bed and curl up in your blanket, to never be seen again. But today was the interview, they had to see you immediately because as they mentioned they were "desperate at the moment".
Yeah no duh, they're desperate who the fuck wants to deal with the paranormal and crazy killers. Well in their eyes, apparently you.
You groaned and got up, rethinking life decisions, wondering if you could flee the country. Would they try and track you down? Would you be on the run for the rest of your life? You could see the headlines now. "Crazy woman that had recently been hired as a nurse at Loomis Asylum recently flee's country, police officials are currently tracking her down."

You shook those thoughts from your head and did your morning routine very slowly, trying to get rid of the fact that you had to go to an asylum and see killers today.
You went downstairs and decided to make some breakfast, you were too tired to cook so you just got some cereal. You were just shoveling your cereal down your throat in fear of it getting soggy when you heard the doorbell ring.
You looked up, mouth full of cereal and swallowed.
You got up and walked towards the door cautiously, you looked through the peek hole and sighed in relief. It was just Alex and Tony.
But you soon took another breath as they looked pissed.
You opened the door eyes narrowing. "What are you guys-"
"WHAT THE FUCK Y/N?! YOU WERE ENCOUNTERED BY A FUCKING KILLER AND WE HAD TO FIND OUT FROM THE NEWS?!" Tony yelled, making his way inside.
"Y/N WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL US?!" Alex followed in after Tony.
They never gave you a chance to answer as they kept yelling question after question and kept scolding you.
You rolled your eyes, "First of all; shut the fuck up, I have neighbors. Second of all; you're not my parents, I don't have to tell you shit."
They deadpanned, "Did you even tell your actual parents?" Alex raised his eyebrow.
Your eyes widened and they grinned. You coughed, "Anyone want some cereal?" You pointed at the now soggy cereal sitting in your bowl, they scoffed. "Don't try to change the subject!" Tony said.
"And besides no one wants your soggy ass cereal." Alex snickered.
"And no one wants your crusty, dusty, musty ass and disgusting attitude, why do you think your parents sent you to a college out of state?" You shot back.
Alex gaped and Tony tried to conceal his laughter. "Listen here you son of a bitch, I have-"
The door busted open, revealing a disappointed Leith. "How come you didn't tell me we were having a sleep over?" She pouted at you.
"I didn't invite these pests." You said, taking a glance at your bug spray. "eXcUsE mE?" Tony squealed.
Then the rest grew into chaos, Leith had run to your closet to get a spray water bottle and started spraying the boys. She had begun chasing them around yelling in Spanish, calling them gilipollas or something.
You just pinched the bridge of your nose and walked over to the closet, you opened it and pulled out an air horn.
They all looked up and plugged their ears. You stopped it and they groaned in relief, you stood on the coffee table. "I have an announcement!" You yelled.
They looked up, "What is it?" Alex asked, plopping down on the couch.
"I... may have been... accepted... for... the nurse job... at... Loomis Asylu-" You didn't even finish before Alex and Tony began screaming and yelling at you about how it's possible and Leith grabbed a couch pillow and threw it at both of them.
"Let her finish, assholes." Leith huffed.
After you explained and they had calmed down you all decided to get a coffee to calm your nerves and distract you from your appointment later today.
And as always you were the loudest table at the shop, Alex had been ranting to Leith about how fucked up his professor was for giving him detention on Saturday and Leith just stared at her phone not even caring which leaded to him snatching it out her hands and her pulling his hair and trying to grab her phone back.

Tony had just been slurping at his coffee while watching the whole thing unfold and he threw an arm over your shoulder.
"My old man is making me work on Saturday too, we're doing yard work, smh." Tony scoffed at the thought of having his only day off snatched from him.
Then not even later you had all been kicked from the coffee shop for disturbing the customers and Leith had been yelling about how you guys were customers and other stuff to not be named.
You all said your goodbyes as Leith walked to the front of your house getting in her car, Alex and Tony hopping in the back.
Leith rolled down her window, "Try not to get killed, okay?" She smiled encouragingly. "I'll try." You said, smiling back.
She nodded and Tony rolled down his window, Alex peaking from the other side. "Get an autograph from Ghostface, for me, will ya?" He winked and Alex hit him on the head and you chuckled. "Stay safe." Alex said, you nodded and Leith had drove off to drop them off at their houses.
You sighed and went into your house and got on some business clothes Leith had laid out for you the other day. You put on some black dress pants, a white blouse and she had given you some 3 inch black heels. You decided to keep your hair down and natural, and you put on some light makeup, while going bold with blood shot red lipstick.
You waited in the living room for Leith, because she was the only one with a drivers license. You had decided to do some research on the asylum before going there.
And apparently you were taking care of 8 killers... heh, great.. You better be getting some goddamn help or committing arson is going to be your main priority.
You heard a beep and that notified you Leith was here, you turned off your phone and walked out the house, locking your door with your keys and hopping in the car.
She turned the music down, being mindful that you might be nervous and she doesn't want to startle you with loud music. You sighed as Leith drove on and you laid back, closing your eyes.
"Just letting you know I'm going in there with you." Leith said nonchalantly. Your eyes shot open, "No! I'm going to be fine, I did research and there is a shit ton of security, I wouldn't want you getting hurt." You exasperated.
"If there is a shit ton of guards then I should be fine to go in there, especially with my father's military background." Leith stated and you scowled.
"Fine." You huffed.
"It was never a question, Mi Amor." Leith chuckled and you scrunched up your nose.
You guys had pulled up to a high level security gate, it had 4 guards standing at the gate with weapons in hand.
You and Leith gulped as one came walking up to your car, he had brown hair that was kept in his hat, but a stray strand had been tucked behind his ear, he had green eyes and an overall almost perfect face, he had a beauty mark near his lips. She rolled down her window as the security guard began speaking.
"State your name and business, and if you have one can I please have your identification card." He said, sultry voice traveling to your ears and going straight into your stomach, giving you butterflies.
Leith noticed your silence and spoke up, "Leith Ledger, Y/n L/n." She pointed at you then continued, "We do not have an identification card, Y/n was recently accepted as the new nurse." As they said that, the guards eyes widened and he looked at you pitifully.
He then pulled out his walkie talkie and spoke into it, "Sir, we have a Y/n L/n and a Leith Ledger, Ledger says L/n is the new nurse, is this information correct and are they secured to enter?"
There was a break and then someone responded, "Y/n L/n is secured to enter, I do not know Leith Ledger, they are not secured to enter."
The guard nodded, and Leith looked at the guard incredulously, "What do you mean I'm not allowed to enter, this is my best friend we're talking about!"
"I'm sorry, bosses orders, if you could please step out of the car ma'am." The guard nodded towards you, you snapped out of your daze and quickly exited the car.
"Y/n, you can't be seriously thinking about going in there without me!" Leith yelled.
You looked at the guard and then towards her, "I'll be fine, if you want you can wait out here for me, just try not to get arrested for doing anything stupid." You spoke.
Leith huffed and the guard's eyebrow twitched in amusement. "Fine." Leith growled, speeding back quickly and zooming off to the parking lot.
You sighed, "Sorry she's a bit of a handful."
The guard chuckled, "I see." He nodded to the other guards and they opened up the gate, it was a loud creaking noise and it took around a minute for the gate to fully open, when it did, it shut with a boom and locked in place.
You looked at the wall that surrounded the asylum, at least 6 stories high. Your eyes widened as you barely spotted at the top of the wall was the thickest and sharpest barbed-wire you had seen in your entire life, there were lights on the two corners and as you walked into the courtyard, you got a chance to see how actually thick the metal walls were.
"Damn." You breathed, the guard chuckled at your choice of words. "Damn, indeed."
He led you through a concrete pathway into the absolute huge asylum, it was terrifying how big it was. And to think it only held 8 prisoners, but they had been the worst of them all. There were groups of 5 guards marching the perimeter.
He put his identification card up to the camera and it beeped and the door opened. The inside was more modern then you expected, as you walked in there was a desk in front of you with a bunch of papers and pens, and a tired looking lady resided there.
You noticed there were, at least 10 guards here as well.
The guard spoke up. "Elizabeth, we have the new nurse here." At the mention of the new nurse, Elizabeth perked up, she had her auburn hair in a bun and she wore glasses on her face, she had dark pink lipstick on and she looked at you and smiled. "Welcome newbie, I'm Elizabeth, nice to meet you." She extended her hand and you shook it. "Y/n, pleasure to meet you as well." You winked and her smile dropped a bit.
"You're too nice for this place, I hope you last longer than the others.." She mumbled. You hadn't heard her correctly. "Oh. Were you talking to me?" You asked, she shook her head no, "Just myself." She turned to her computer and typed something in.
She then strolled her chair to the other side of the desk and grabbed a card with a chain. "Here is the guest, card. It allows you to access the bathroom, office, lunchroom and the courtyard. As you are not verified yet, this is what will have to do." She smiled up at you.
She handed you the card, and you thanked her. The guard nodded "Elizabeth." She nodded back. "Ian."
'Ian' took you to a back door and opened it with his card. Which opened up to a hallway of doors, you shrunk back thinking the prisoners must be in there. The guard noticed and he was quick to reassure you. "They aren't here if that's what you're thinking, they're on the floor below us, in the deepest part of the asylum."
He smiled and you nodded, you decided to gain some pride, Leith wouldn't accept you acting scared, the prisoners smell fear, you won't give them the pleasure to smell it off you.
You straightened your back and strutted in sync with the guard, you held your head up high as he opened the elevator.
He pressed floor 5 which was the highest. "Floor five is where the office is, nurses, keepers, head security, etc all have their offices up here, including big boss. Floor Four is where the break room is, the courtyard, lunchroom and some bathrooms as well as storage and a basketball court are there. Floor 3 is the nursing quarters, anything medical and supplies as well as storage are there. Floor 2, we were just there, the entrance, meeting room and a couple of bathrooms as well as a living room are there. And... Floor 1, it's basically like a basement... but you can guess what resides there." You nodded.
The elevator opened revealing the office, it had a couple of people walking with stacks of paper and there were rooms and desks scattered. He took you through the organized chaos and stopped at a door labeled 'Head Master'. He knocked and the voice you heard on the walkie talkie answered. "Come in!"
Ian opened the door and held it open for you. You walked in as Ian followed you. You looked around the office, it was spacious, had draws and boxes filled with paperwork, there were hanging and potted green plants as well and there was a window open, blowing fresh air into the room.
"Ahh, thank you Ian." The head master said, Ian nodded smugly. Then the head master turned to you. "I assume you're Ms. L/n?" He asked. You nodded. "Yes sir, pleasure to meet you." You smiled, raising your hand for a handshake which he gratefully returned. "I'm sorry we had to meet under such... unruly, circumstances." He coughed nervously.
"Oh! Please, please have a seat." He motioned to the two seats in front of his desk. You gladly sat down as your feet were starting to hurt from covering so much ground in heels. The head master looked at Ian. "Thank you for bringing Ms. Y/n safely, you may return to your post." Ian nodded and looked at you one last time before closing the door and disappearing into the body of the people.
You turned back to the head master. "I am Samuel Loomis and I was hoping to have a very important discussion with you... hence the email." You nodded for him to continue. "But, as you know killers reside here, some unexplained ones as well, which often scares off most of our nurses and doctors because they have to be in close contact. As you know... we're desperate. We just lost 6 out of 12 of our nurses, the ones that remain, refuse to go near them without them being drugged and having at least 5 security guards with them." You held up a hand, and he stopped. "Why did the six nurses leave?" You asked. Samuel's face darkened and he sighed, "They didn't leave... they were, killed."
Your eyes widened, "Okay, let me get this straight you want me to accept the job of a nurse, taking care of 8 killers that just killed six out of twelve nurses, which will be endangering me and my family's and friends lives and all for what?"
"1,000 per hour." He grimaced.
"I'm in." You grinned wickedly.
His eyes widened. "Really?" You almost jumped out of your seat. "Hell yeah! besides you didn't really give me a choice, in the email you said I can't leave the waiting list for two years." You noted.
He frowned. "Sorry about that, but we truly are desperate." You nodded. "I get it, you may continue now."
He nodded, "We need you to be able to be hand in hand contact with them, that means tending to their wounds, but we can't be drugging them all the time, it goes against the jurisdiction and we can only do it when they get violent." You opened your mouth up to speak but almost like he read your mind, he answered your question. "We have to let them out of their cells from time to time and some of them have anger issues, which causes a couple of them to get hurt." You closed your mouth and nodded.
"I think that's all, sorry I'm just extremely grateful for you, you will be a huge help, if you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me." He handed you a business card with his information on it. You thanked him, "Uhm, when do I start?" You asked, he smiled. "Today."
Your eyes widened. "Okay..." He looked into his drawer and handed you a folder. "Here is your schedule, things you have to do and a map of the asylum. Do not let it get in the hands of the prisoners. Tomorrow I will give you a new and personalized one as well as an identification card, until then the guest card and that folder will have to do."
You nodded and you both stood up and shook hands, "If you need help, navigating you can ask Elizabeth, I'm sure you met her?" He asked and you said 'yes'.
He smiled and walked to the door opening it for you, "Thank you again, in the meantime please explore and get familiar, I recommend visiting the break room." He chuckled, you laughed. "Of course."
You walked out and closed the door behind you, taking a deep breath. You made your way towards the elevator and the doors were about to close, "Wait!" You heard a voice yell and a hand reach out, you stopped the elevator from closing and allowed the person to walk in.
It was a man with dark blue hair, brown eyes and was wearing a suit, he had earring every possible space on his ear and a nose ring.
