《OUTSIDERS || MAKI ZENIN.》Goodbye, for now

Thanks for sticking around and enjoying outsiders
Yuta stood over the edge of the boat with its bars holding him back from falling into the water. He hovers his torso slightly over it with phone in hand, as he scrolls through his phone apps out of boredom. Miguel was chatting up with the boat captain during their time heading to a certain place in Africa.
Once they got close to shore, Yuta got connection and his phone buzzed with numerous notifications. He looks down and the first he sees is from Megumi Fushiguro, the first-year who respected him so much.
He smiles at the sight but when he opens his phone, it slightly falters at the caption attached to a video he sent.
"Help me..senpai?" He reads out loud. Taken aback by his words, he stares at it blankly before starting the video. It buffers a bit but then it starts to play smoothly.
A girl, maybe a first year, comes barging into the classroom with furious eyes. She's only wearing small shorts on top of her tights. A white blouse shirt on top. Her uniform discarded entirely.
She comes marching into the classroom with Megumi and Panda inside.
"Hey, Panda." She greets with a hint of malice in her voice. "Do you know where my uniform is?"
"Haven't seen it." He says in his sluggish voice before trying to walk away from her.It ws obvious he was wearing her top around his oversize body. Megumi looks through the screen with a blank stare. He knew Panda said the wrong answer.
"I see.." She says, slowly raising her hammer at him. It only takes a few seconds for her to plummet her hammer down to the side of his face, forcing him to collapse on the floor. The small uniform unbuttons on its own as Nobara Kugisaki looks over him.
"Hey, my skirt's not here either! This is a line you can't cross!" She grumbles before yanking the jacket away. Just before she can inspect Panda again, Yuta can't help but light up when Tamaki comes into the fold via video.
The raven-hair boy yawns with his hand behind his back as he walked into the chaotic class. He stares down to see Panda then looks at Nobara.
"Hey, Nobsy, what's all this about?" He inquired with a soft voice. He tilts his head at the mess but Nobara ignores Panda's bleeding nose and skips over to Tamaki. She looks up at the upper class man with innocent, puppy eyes.
"Senpaiii, someone's stole my skirt and I can't find it! Can you help me, pretty please?" She says while batting her eyes, clasping her hands together with her hammer intact. She knows out of all people, Tamaki would never be a suspect. He's too respectful and also, he's got Maki. He's totally off the suspect list.
'So that's what this is all about.' He thought and with a firm, confident expression, he reaches for her shoulders.
"Well you can count on Tamaki here, okay?" He says and Nobara looks idly confused why he referred himself in the third person. She shook her head and cooled off with a smile, at least knowing she's getting help. "Let's see..we should investigate what's Toge been up to."
They didn't even look for him. He came to them.
The curse-speech user came in fashionably late and when the two detectives look at him, lord and behold, he's wearing...a skirt!

"MUSTARD LEAF!", He pulls up to the entrance in a sing-song voice, his hand reaching out to them like one reaching stars.
Nobara looks at Tamaki.
"You might want to step back, senpai." She flashes a warm smile before locking eyes with Toge. She shifted into serious mode. Toge wasn't going to survive.
Instead of using her hammer, she uses an iron fist to crash down on the top of his skull and immediately, he pushed down to the floor with a painful groan. He flops to the floor, unconscious so fast and Tamaki can't help but admire the first-year's strength.
"W-Wakaka.." He mutters and Tamaki pouts, staring down at his friend.
"You should've never done that." He whispered at his friend with the big bump forming on his head. Nobara yanks the skirt out,
"Geez, they're pieces of trash!" She scowled before pulling the skirt up, inspecting it. She looks taken aback as she gasped and pulls the skirt away.
"Wait a minute, this is.. Maki's?!"
" Tamaki starts to blush and his head looks down again before his foot comes kicking the side of Toge's torso. His friend lets out a hiss and wakes up from his short sleep.
"Y-You damn idiot!" Tamaki blurts out. "Maybe you do deserve this!" He says, so embarrassed over the fact he was wearing his girlfriend's skirt.
'How he got it is beyond me!' Tamaki huffed before folding her skirt in a neat fold and holding it with the intention of returning it in her room.
Maki was going to kill Toge. And it was very soon when Nobara's second senpai comes walking in, dressed in her new jujutsu uniform and worn the new purple-like frames.
"Maki.." Tamaki calls to his girlfriend. "Toge was caught..wearing your skirt."
She looks at the wounded boy briefly before turning to the two,
"Course, he is. I let him borrow it."
Nobara and Tamaki exchange looks of shock. "B-But why?"
The Zenin girl simply shrugs,
"Don't know. I had spares so I didn't really question it." She looks at Nobara. "Why, what's up?"
She pouts, her arms waving in the air.
She makes rampage in the room as her two senpais look at each other nervously before continuing to watch her make a tantrum out of it.
Megumi moves the camera away and onto him, his nose front and center and eyes peeking upwards. You can't see his mouth though.
"I'm pretty sure Gojo stole it.." He murmurs against the phone and it cuts there.
Yuta laughs so hard and his heart jumps in joy for a bit, before sinking into slight sadness. It's been months since Gojo sent him on this top-secret mission and he misses his friends so dearly.
He misses Panda for being, well, a panda!
And Toge being the sweet and funny guy who'd show off hilarious, prankster videos on YouTube before the two slept over in each other's bedrooms. He's gotten more fluid and better talking rice ingredients, he thinks.
Maki, strong and arrogant but a powerful mentor. He's happy the first-years will get to learn lots from her, just like he had during his time there.
Then there's Tamaki. The big, brother figure he never thought he needed until he met him. He missed the way he'd ruff his hair and always seem attentive to almost everyone. He's always wondering if someone's okay or if they need a helping hand. It's nice, he thinks.

Yuta almost laughs to himself, reminiscing the tall boy nearly crying by the docks when he left. It almost feels like years he's departed.
Flashback:
"I guess this is goodbye."
"For now." Tamaki corrects him with a smile and a hand over Maki as he and his group watched Yuta go overseas for who knows how long. Tamaki almost dropped a single tear to see their friend grow into someone so strong.
"You got this, buddy." Panda grins and Toge puts out a peace sign to him. "Tuna mayo."
"See ya, Toge. I won't be long." The two do a fist bump and high five soon after as Maki crosses her arms,
"Don't go crying on us, Yuta." She grins. "If you need to talk or vent over there, try to reach us out. I'm pretty sure there's still connection over at Africa, right?"
He laughs,
"Yeah. Here's hoping." He nods. "But I'll text you, Maki..in case, something's happened."
"Good. I'm hoping you can do that." She takes a step back and nudges Tamaki who comes forward. He holds a small photo frame with an image inside.
"Here. To remember us." He nearly whispers before handing it over to him. He looks closely and smiles.
"It's our new years' photo together!" He gasped out and Tamaki smiles brightly, the sun hitting his face but it matches his sunshine smile.
"I had to frame it up. That night remains so special to me." He exhales. "Gosh, I'm really gonna miss you."
Yuta scoffs,
"Come on, Tamaki! You're acting like I'm going to die, haha. I'll be fine."
"I know you will. It's just..you've grown a lot and honestly, I'm so proud of you."
He looks at him with so much pride and happiness.
"But you're right, when you come back..we'll celebrate! We'll definitely greet you happily with open arms. Always."
Yuta's heart swells up and the two share a big hug. Tamaki pats him hard in the back before pulling away.
"We'll see you soon."
"Okay."
Toge and Panda start waving back at him and Maki shoots her signature grin at Yuta, telling him he better not get killed out there. He chuckles nervously, obeying her command.
The docks of the harbor grew farther and farther for Yuta. He watched them grow smaller and let the fog paint over the scene. His heart dropped a bit, as his new family saw him go in silence. They all held eachother out of comfort. In a way, it felt like he was leaving forever.
But he will come back, Yuta confirms. He holds the photo of the entire group, including Gojo Sensei together, laughing in unison.
'Thank you everyone..for making me who I am now..' He then thinks of Tamaki the most. 'And thank you Tamaki, for always beliving in me even when I could not.'
-
Tamaki would always be there for his close friend. No, his brother. And whenever he'd come back, he promised he'd embrace him with open arms and happiness.
Yuta stood over his hospital bed after their chaotic battle in Shibuya. He wept like a baby and it's been the first since he bid farewell to Rika.
He wished he was there when it happened.
Tamaki never gave a look of weakness. He didn't change or act broken in front of him. When he saw Yuta, there was a light in his heart and his single eye glimmered when he noticed a much more mature and hardened as if he's been through several battles by now.
"Welcome home, Yuta." Tamaki croaks out of exhaustion, along with his body that hurts so much. Even so, he smiles gently towards the crying boy.
"I should have been there to protect you, to protect Maki, Toge and Panda too! I-I'm sorry!"
Tamaki looks up with a chuckle,
"Tis but a scratch, Yuta." He has the audacity to joke over his new appearance. His right eye was scorched into dust, leaving him with one eye and an empty socket now concealed with bandages around. He had burn marks across and the back of his chest. His flames were so strong that even the slightest of healing could not bring his eye back.
His torturer and mother's killer tried to destroy his will but Tamaki Hatsumi never surrendered.
Never compromise,
"Maki and I will be the fine, so will Toge. We're strong-willed, Yuta, you should know that by now."
"How could you be optimistic in a time like this?"
"If I'm not optimistic, who else will? If I act depressed about it all, I'll just let the enemy win at the end." He sighs, putting a hand over his lost eye,
"I'm just glad I'm here in one piece..and luckily enough, he didn't take the one with my curse eye..I should be good." He says as Suki crawls up to his lap and settled there for a nap.
Yuta clenches his fists, staring at him.
"You're something else, Tamaki."
He shrugs in return,
"No, I'm simply just Tamaki." He softly laughs without a care in the world.
He would see Maki stained with burn marks across her arms and her face. Her hair was cut super short. She looked depressed by them and looked down to her feet, pondering with despair.
She lightly gasped when an eyepatch Tamaki tilts her head towards him. He smiles like sunshine, all the time.
"Don't worry about how you look. You still look amazing to me.."
"You don't have to sugarcoat it, Tamaki." She sighs.
Their noses touch,
He leans for a kiss and she stares at him, shocked. Her bewildered demeanor melted into her usual, calm expression before she kissed back. His lips touch her burn mark across her lip and it burns a bit but she doesn't care and refuses to let it become a factor to their affection.
As long as the two had each other, that's all that matters.
Even after Shibuya and even after Sukuna's awakening, all they ever wanted was to be together. And thank god, the lord has listened and kept the two from ever growing apart.
-
10 years later.
A swordsman carried out his duties, cutting through the large monster blocking the safety of school children from exiting out of their haunted school. He slices it in two and the entire body of the monster collapsed. Everyone escaped and the Jujutsu students made sure they mend their wounds after escaping the big spirit.
The swordsman, or the instructor of those Jujutsu students came out sheathing his swords back as he walked. He had an eyepatch with golden claws decorated in front and hs arms out, marked with tattoos of insignia that went over his old burn marks.
"Zenin-sensei!" His students ran after him, all three pulling him to an embrace. "We're so glad you were able to save them, Zenin Sensei!" The girl in his class bowed profusely, smiling over his display.
"You know it's okay to call me by my other name, Nana." He addresses to his student.
"Okay, Hatsumi-Sensei!" She rubs the back of her head with a giggle, "I forgot you and Mrs. Zen-I mean, your wife do not like to be addressed by your official last names."
As a somewhat consort and husband to Maki, he had to take her name but knowing those two, they refused to wear it like a badge.
"Heh, it's alright kid." He ruffles her hair. The other boy in his class grins,
"You did amazing, sensei. And of course, how could we forget about Suki too?" the boy and the other laughed as Suki came between them, stroking their ankles with a purr. She then retreats and stood over Tamaki's shoulder.
He took the kids back to the school in which he excused them early. The first grade instructor decided to pay a visit to his father.
He bends over to his grave, propping a bouquet of fresh lilies by his engraved name. He smiles at the stone before clasping his hands together, praying.
'I miss you father...Hope you and mother are well..'
He gets up on his knees and goes home to his loving wife. Maki sat on her chair with her head on her hand, listening to the elders and more upper officials discuss business. But she was bored, itching for a fight against anyone, or anything.
As head of Zenin, she had no idea it would all be politics or business talks all around she had to endure.
After the elders had left, Tamaki walks into the room with a greeted smile. She smirks,
"How was the tag-along?" She asked about the kids' field trip on seeing how to exorcise spirts.
"They were impressed, more motivated to start on their own." He takes a few steps before coming close, hands intertwining.
"I missed you, love." He grins against her lips before they shared an enchanted kiss. She wraps her arms around his neck, pulling him for a deeper one. He looks at her with awe, amazed over the fact that he got to complete his resolution all those years ago.
He got to see Maki, his wife, surpass all odds and beat the clan's standards. She rose to the ranks and he got to see it all front row.
Maki is an incredible woman.
"So did I. I was getting bored with you, anyways."
"Oh really?" He asked.
She grins deviously. "Yes, now let me prove it to you..in our chambers."
"I'd love that alot." He smiles before picking her up, taking them quickly behind closed rooms.
-
The two would only produce one heir. A little girl born looking alot like Maki.
She was born without curse energy but a heavenly vow that gave her great physical strength overtime.
People and the elders would whisper insults and shame the two for producing a child without curse energy but it did not matter for the two. They silenced their criticism and showered the room with only love.
Even if she was not born with it, she was cared for just as anyone with curse energy. The love for her would never extinguish.
She'd only prove them wrong, just like Maki did before taking the helm of the Zenin clan.
Tamaki scooped over his little girl, Mika, who giggles as she's pulled all the way up from the floor. He makes her do small hops in the air and her laughs become erratic before he pulls her to the chest.
She calms down and closes her eyes, breathing softly before sleep consumes her. She felt comfortable and safe in her father's arms. Tamaki looks down at his bundle of joy with happiness before he kissed her on top of the head.
He holds her tightly as he sits on a chair outside the porch, rocking a bit looking out at the green scenery.
Maki sees him through the window of the living room. She smiles before walking out.
He whispers to Mika,
