: "Can you do a hanahaki one? I would love to see that! It's Tamaki with the feelings."
————————————————
Tamaki coughed up more flower pedals, smiling slightly as he looked at you smiling with someone else. He hated this, he hated it so much yet he had no control about it, it was a stupid disease that happened with one sided love after all and he knew he was in a situation like that.
It all started the day Tamaki wanted to confess to you. Tamaki finally came to realize that he liked you and not a tiny bit either, he was head over heels for you. He finally gathered all his courage, he was gonna tell you how he felt and he was gonna do it today, what exactly could go wrong right?
"Are you finally telling Y/N how you feel?" Mirio asked Tamaki as he was pacing around. "W Well I'm gonna try-" Tamaki answered, getting more and more nervous thinking about it. "Well you should go see them now, they said they were going for a walk." Mirio suggested, smiling at his friend finally being confident enough to do something like this, knowing how hard it was for him.
"I'm doing it." Tamaki decided, taking a deep breathe and grabbing the flower he plucked earlier for you, telling himself that it'll be okay. "Good luck Tamaki, you got this." Mirio reassured, being happy his friend was finally going to confess.
Tamaki started walking towards the place you usually went when you go on walks, his smile slowly grew bigger as her thought about his possible future with you, finally having his childhood crush as his.
He looked at the pretty flower in his hand, remembering how you told him that it was your favorite flower back when you still were kids. He never forgot it.

He shook his head and laughed softly, getting himself out of his thoughts and looking up, noticing you and smiling, being ready to call out your name. Only to see another guy pulling you closer from behind while you laughed and relaxed in his arms.
What was this? Why did he suddenly freeze in his movements and lose all the confidence he had earlier? All he could do was stand still and look at the sight before him.
"Babe stop-" You laughed as you grabbed his face, pulling the other male in a kiss and not even noticing that Tamaki was there. Tamaki's sight slowly was getting more and more blurry with the second, maybe it was the tears collecting on his eyelids without him noticing.
His lips started to tremble and the tears slowly started rolling down his cheeks as he felt a harsh sting in his lungs, his hand slowly reaching out to feel it, being confused on what that feeling was.
The flower he had picked for you, fell on the ground as he lowered his head, looking away from you as you kissed the other male happily.
Tamaki slowly started walking back to where his other friends were. His sight was blurry and his hand still was placed on where the painful sting from his lungs came from, shaking slightly as he felt a weird feeling in his throat. Coughing a bit as he covered his mouth and noticing flower petals, covered in a little bit of blood.
What was this and why did he have to go through this hell? All he did was have a crush on his childhood best friend. He never thought seeing the person he liked with someone else would hurt this much, yet here he was.
Sitting down at the table, tears streaming down his face while his head was lowered. Mirio was about to ask how it went, but seeing Tamaki like this showed enough.

Tamaki was lost in his thoughts meanwhile, maybe this was why you went on walks alone breaks? Maybe this was why you spend less time with them? Weren't they enough or did he do something wrong?
He must've done something wrong right? Why else would he go trough his hell for being in love?
Then again, you looked so happy with the guy, the happiest in a while and that somehow made Tamaki happy as well.
Days went by slowly for Tamaki after that day and things were getting worse each day, he was coughing up bigger pedals and almost full flowers yet he was okay with it, it was your favorite flower after all and they were so beautiful.
Not much after the incident, you introduced your boyfriend to the others, being extremely happy to finally let them know and surprisingly, they all liked him, even Tamaki did.
Tamaki really wanted to hate the guy at first, he was going through this hell, only because he stole you from him. Yet Tamaki couldn't bring himself to hate the other male, how could he when he was such a good guy, he was perfect for you.
He noticed how happy the other male made you and your happiness was all he could wish for, even if he had to suffer.
If it meant that he would have to see you being happy with someone else before dying, he wouldn't mind, at least he would've spend his last moments around you and seeing your smile as one of the last things before it all ended.
He lost his chance with you, you were so much happier with someone else, yet the truth was still painful.

Dead in a gutter without even enough flesh on his bones to tempt the rats who were his neighbors. From such lowly beginnings springs greatness, for the God of Resurrection has seen fit to bless this pathetic wretch with a second chance at life. But Gods and men are cruel in equal measure, and the place of his rebirth is just as unfit for life as the scene of his first demise. Unbeknownst to man, and god alike a third-party stirs, lurching forth from beyond the stars something ancient stumbles upon something new and exciting.
