《"Is this Love?" Maki Harukawa x Reader》Third Death

It was hard to go to sleep, after what you witnessed.. It kept you up all night. But, with all your overthinking you didn't realize the time. The morning announcement went off, meaning it was 8:00 a.m. So, you got up and went to set up everything, putting on your VR set and so forth.
When you were finished you exited your dorm, seeing Tenko on your way out. "Hey Tenko!" You waved. "Oh hey Y/N.. How are you doing?" Tenko replied. "I'm doing good, how are you and Himiko? Did you make up yet?" You could see Tenko's face darken in despair. "I- she just won't forgive me.. But... I will try again!" Tenko confidence soon came back, "You keep trying Tenko! Just know I have your back, anytime." You say, making Tenko smile, "Thanks Y/N, I'll see you at breakfast!" Tenko ran to the dining hall waving goodbye. You soon ran too making it to the dining hall.
You knew what happened to Angie, so you would have to be the one to cook breakfast. You finished all of the cooking, and served it. "Breakfast is served!" You said happily at you meals you made. "Wow, this is good!" Kaito said. "I know right!" Tenko agreed.
You smiled at the compliments, "Thank you.!"
You sat in your usual spot and the conversation you prepared for started, "Do you guys know where Angie is?" Shuichi asked the table. "Oh so you did notice. Angie was the one cooking after Kirumi's death.. So having Y/N cooking seemed off." Kokichi said. "Angie said she would do the ritual. But, didn't invite the Council." Kiibo said. "Why would she make a Council if they weren't gonna help?" Maki questioned. "I don't know." Kiibo replied. "Hey Y/N, right when you come though the door you went to the kitchen to cook, how did you know Angie wasn't in there?" Shuichi asked. "Well, if she was in there I would of helped but she wasn't, and y'all were just sitting there with no food, I had to cook." It was a valid reason, all though it wasn't the truth.. "I think Y/N killed Angie!" Miu said out of the blue. "Miu I thought we were friends!" You said. "What? It was just a guess. You're acting so suspicious!" Miu spat. All you could do was sigh. "Well? Y/N killed Angie! Class trial now!" Kokichi said jokingly. "There is no corpse, how would we know if it was Y/N, if we haven't see Angie's corpse or any clues that she could be dead." Maki crossed her arms. "Good point Maki Roll!" Kaito said. "Stop calling me that!" Maki angryly said with an embarrassed blush. "Then we're gonna look! We're gonna look for Angie's corpse!" Kokichi said. "Is this really necessary?" Korekiyo said, all you could do was glare at him.. *I can't wait until this class trial.. You'll get what you deserve Korekiyo.* You imagined the execution of Korekiyo. He was the Ultimate Anthropologist, what could his execution be..?

The crowd spilt into groups. You paired with Maki for obvious reasons. You were walking around. "Hey, we should go to Angie's lab. I mean what if she's preforming the ritual now?" Maki looked at you, "Did you kill her?" That question struck you. "W-what? No." Maki's eyes just stared, it was scary. "OK FINE. I-I'll tell you. But don't tell anyone until the trial. Just walk with me.." You panicked. "Trial? So, she is dead." Maki said. "Yes, yes she is dead. But, I didn't kill her! I-I heard someone killed her.. And I know who it is." You said. "Well? Who is it?" Maki asked, "Korekiyo, I saw him hold her corpse, when he walked to her lab." Tears started to form at the corners of your eyes, you didn't have a really close relationship to Angie, but you considered her a good friend. Maki noticed the tears start to run down your cheeks, her instinct was to hug you, so she did. This act of kindness made you surprised, but you sooned hugged back. "You can cry as much as you need to." You smiled through the tears. "Thank you Maki.."
The tears soon ran out (the water put in the A.I. the act as tears), and the two of you made it to Angie's lab. Maki went up to the door and tried to open it. But, it seemed to be locked. "It's locked." "I have an idea." You took a nail from the floor. It was wooden, you all you did was take a loose nail from one of the planks. After you did, you walked to the door and stuck the nail in the keyhole. You knew what type of lock it was and soon.. got it opened. Then, all they saw was a despairing sight..

Angie's corpse layed in her blood. Maki went inside the lab and check Angie's body. "You said you heard Angie being killed correct?" Maki asked. "Yeah.. Why?" Maki looked at Angie's head, "What did it sound like?" You paused, "Well.. It sounded like an object hitting her head, I heard the blood spatter everywhere.." "That was possibly the cause of death. There is a big wound on her head." "Oh! Do you see any duct tape? I saw Korekiyo put duct-tape on her head to keep blood from getting on the floor, walking to her lab." Maki lifted Angie's head and found a piece of duct-tape, she held it in the air. "Talking about this?" You nodded.
"We should get someone." Maki said. "Yeah, thats best." The two ran out of the lab. You spotted Kokichi and Himiko. "Hey! We found Angie!" You said. "Really? Where?" Himiko asked, "In her lab." Maki answered. "Well? C'mon, let's go!" Kokichi said running to the dead artist's lab.. He just didn't know. The three ran after. But he made it before them then..
'Ding Dong Bing Bong! A body has been discovered! Now, then after a certain amount of time has past the class trial with begin!"
The screen faded to black, and the three made it to where Kokichi was. "So.. She is dead." Kokichi said with a sad look on his face. "N-no.. Angie.." Himiko started to cry. "ANGIE IS DEAD!" The girl bursted into tears, collapsing to the floor. "I see why Miu was suspecting Y/N.. They totally killed her.." Kokichi commented. "That's not true. Y/N didn't kill Angie." Maki stated. "Maki.. Don't say anything, wait." You say.
The rest of the group came to Angie's lab, seeing the artist's dead body. But Korekiyo asked Himiko something.. "How about we have a seance? We could see Angie but in a different way." Himiko seemed confused, "In what way?" Korekiyo looked at the magician and said, "Angie could possess you and we could have Angie back!" Himiko fell into his lie, "Really? Yeah! We can do that!" Maki and you stared at Korekiyo. *Himiko is gonna die if she actually does it..* You thought as the investigation started.

Exponential Mana Regeneration
When the Change occurred, humanity suddenly found itself with superhuman constitutions and the ability to use mana. All the government leaders had known about it beforehand and had made an announcement, so there was little strife and instead excitement to loot the dungeons that the Change had created. Kyle Anders was incredibly excited when he saw his starting skill, called Exponential Mana Regeneration, but his excitement quickly waned when he realized it was almost useless with his starting mana pool of twenty. He had nearly given up hope on being a mage when his family got him a new skill for his 18th birthday. Suddenly, with his mana pool expanded because of the skill, Kyle’s mana regeneration shot through the roof. But while humanity worked hard to loot dungeons and increase their skills and stats, Change was coming, and peace cannot last forever. The story is currently on haitus. (This story is a work in progress. As the first story that I have ever written, the beginning, especially the first ten chapters or so, needs heavy editing. I have decided to continue writing the story instead of going back and editing the beginning. I hope that despite all its flaws you will still find my story enjoyable.)
