"That overseas mission of course!"
I scoffed and turned over against the still freezing packs of food, my back facing Gojo. "Oooooooooooooi,,, if ya don't wanna leave your precious sensei forever and ever,,, then ya gotta go to Africa and talk to somebody for meee" He chirped. I flipped him off and kept snoring.
"Tch, how long's this gonna take?" I rolled back over to face him. He grinned at my giving up. "Depending on how it goesss...it could range from 2 weeks to 6 months" He said as if that wasn't half the year already. My jaw dropped to the sheets of my bed. "Ship me off to Kyoto, I'm not spending 6 months in Africa" I denied.
"BUT,,,, all that depends on how it goes !" He continued. "And if it goes sideways? I'd have to be spending half a year in Africa" I groaned. He just stood there watching me open up my closet door.
"...Get the hell out while I change and maybe I'll think about it" I scowled. He beamed and hopped out my room with a chirp. I rolled my eyes and got on my usual 'anbu' based outfit.
.
.
"Oi, Y/n, slow down a bit. It ain't goin anywhere besides in your stomach" Maki warned, as I was scarfing down my food. I quickly swallowed then drank some of my water. "Gojo-sensei's sending me on this fuck ass overseas mission to Africa and depending on how it goes, it could take up to 6 months" I explained. She just looked at me while processing what I just said.
"Oh" She finally said. "You might get to meet my friend Yuta. He's in Africa right now, I think" She continued. "Waittttttt, Okkotsu Yuta??" I questioned. She nodded into her drink. "Yeahhhh, we actually met him a few weeks ago when................." Nobara trailed off with a cackle.
"When what" I deadpanned. Itadori and Nobara cackled together.
"...I guess spending time with Maki really comes back to bite ya in the ass" Itadori said while whiping his tears from laughing. I lifted a brow then my face heated up and Maki choked on her food. "You guys remember that?!" I whisper yelled.
"Oh yeah we do" Nobara added. I rolled my eyes and kept on eating. "You sounded like a banshee!" She continued cackling. I just stared with my bitch face.
"....Anyways, look on the brightside. At least you won't have to see Sayaka anymore for a loooong time" Maki slightly chirped. I grinned, knowing I'd be resting easy that I wouldn't be sharing the same building as her.
"Yeah ok" I started before getting up. "Oooooi! Gojo-senseiiii!" I called out. Gojo came running from down the hall as if he was expecting me to say it.
"Yyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeessssssssssss?" He chirped. "When does that mission start?" I said exasperatedly. He smirked then looked at everybody else and back at me. "Ya gotta be in Africa by next Thursday and start the mission the following Saturday, so that gives you a little over a week" He explained. I nodded then looked back at Maki and my friends.
"Alright. I'll start packing tomorrow then" I said before I walked back over to my table.
"HAH?! YOU'RE ACTUALLY GOING ON THAT MISSION?!" Nobara and Itadori exclaimed. I turned to them. "Yeah?" I said. "Tch. I wonder what it's about" Itadori stroked his chin with his index finger and thumb.
"...Speaking of which. Oi, Gojo-sensei! What's that mission about anyways?" I shouted. He turned over to me. "Ehmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, you'll get the details from someone you'll meet there! Don't worry, he already knows you're comin so he'll know where you'll be at!" He chirped then hopped off again. I rolled my eyes then got back to eating.
.
.
.
"Gives me this lame ass mission in Africa then won't even tell me the details. Some teacher" I groaned as me and Itadori stretched out on the training field. "Well, it'll be alright! You get to see elephants!!" He beamed. I smiled to myself. "True. Maybe even ride one" My small smile turned into a grin. "Ooh! If you do, tell me what it's like!!" He chirped. I chuckled then stood up to get ready for training.
"Can't believe that I'll be going away to Africa" I said, walking over to Maki who was sitting under the tree. She stood up with her polearm. "Yeah. You'll be going to a part of the world I'd never get the opportunity to go to" She grinned. I smiled back and got out my two katanas.
"I might stop training a bit early today and go to the library" I said as she took her polearm and struck me in the side which I'd barely stopped with the dull side of my katana. "Why?" She asked while I pushed the polearm away and swung my blade at her. "To get some more information on my abilities" I answered.
She stopped and rested her polearm on the ground. "Alright?" She asked. "....Those weeks ago when I came back from that mission where I told you about that male prostitute? One moment while we were fighting it, I noticed a small glowing white ribcage surrounded me while I almost hit my back and I'm wondering what it was" I answered as I swiped my foot for her ankles.
"Yeah, ok. That seems a bit reasonable" She replied as she moved away from my foot and wacked me in the head with her polearm. I groaned and rubbed the back of my throbbing head. "Tch. I wonder if that stage of Sharingan really copied your movements from the exchange event" I scoffed. She giggled at my comment. "You copied my movements from that day? When?" She asked.
"Uhm....when you were fighting Miwa. You waved around that silly ass staff and flexed for no reason" I answered with a grunt at the impact on my stomach,, as she'd poked me there. "Well you were watching, so I had to show off a bit" She smirked. I rolled my eyes and chipped a piece of my katana and dropped the bigger piece to go at her head on.
She dodged the attack at her face then grabbed my arm and flipped me over. I grunted once I landed on my back. She turned around with a chuckle. "You seem tired" She said, taking note of my small eyebags. I scoffed and got back up.
"That's cuz I am" I shot back. She playfully lifted her eyebrows. "Well don't let fatigue catch up with you. You've still gotta train with me" She said before turning around to the presence of Gojo.
"Ehhhhhh, that's their choice. I've just brought some books from the library, since I totally didn't listen in on your conversation earlier and thought you'd wanna read some more" He grinned. I looked at the small pile of thick books in his arms then back at Maki. I sighed then walked over to Gojo. His grin grew even wider as I took the pile from him.

"I'm such a great teacher !!" He hopped off. I rolled my eyes and turned back to Maki. "Y'know, you wouldn't have to train with Megumi if you went with me" I said, looking at the currently pouting Maki. She turned her head towards me. "Pfff, reading? With you? I'd rather train with Megumi" She joked before walking up with me to the building.
"Ooooooooooi! Where're you two goinggggg?!" Nobara shouted. I chuckled and turned around, the books almost toppling off. "Going inside to read!" I answered before walking again. "Sureeee" She teased. I rolled my eyes again and kept walking.
.
.
"Ugh, these dusty ass books better not leave a permanent stain on my sheets" Maki said as I dropped them down on her bed. "There's always the laundry room, y'know" I replied with a chuckle.
I sat down and got out the book that peaqued my interest the most. Truth be told, they all looked boring with different murky shades of purple, green and brown as the covers.
"I'm surprised Gojo found a whole pile of books based off my lineage" I said in awe as I turned the page. "Well, people with Sharingan aren't all that popular so you're kinda a one of a kind" Maki commented. I huffed and flipped the page that I payed no attention to.
I skipped pages that explained what the Sharingan was, as I already knew. Only a few paragraphs explained abilities and even then, I already knew of them. But there was one page that caught my eye.
'The L/n Sharingan, although indigenous, does possess the potential to evolve into Rinnegan. But, only certain circumstances allow one to achieve it.
'The Rinnegan is given to the user who has achieved the 'Sage of Six Paths' mode. The Sage of Six Paths mode is one of the, if not the strongest mode ever to exist. Depending on who is using it, a white cloak may or may not appear on you, as well as 6 orbs behind you, known as 'truth seeking orbs,' and can mold into anything you'd wish. Those are always guarrenteed for you.
'However, no one person can achieve the Sage of Six Paths mode indigenously. The mode must be given through the Prodigy mark, as the mark grants any and all permission to whosoever asks it.'
"Tch. That Sayaka cunts but a bit of a reputation here" I said to myself as I continued reading.
'If the user is not a Prodigy, then the mark must be passed on from the original user's death. Only then will the L/n achieve any powers that lay beyond the mark.
'The Rinnegan allows some of the same abilities as the Mangekyo Sharingan, but are more refined. A power called 'Chibaku Tensei,' or more known as 'Planetary Devastation,' allows the the user to create a black sphere between their hands and hurl it into the sky. When sphere is activated, it generates a powerful attractive force, pulling everything into the vicinity of it until a large satellite is created; users can control how large the satellite is.'
".......wow" I said. Maki looked up at me in confusion. "What is it?" She asked. I looked up at her than back at the book. "This really cool move in the book" I answered blankly.
.
It's been a few hours, and I've read a bunch about my abilities. There's this one thing the Rinnegan does that lets you switch places with anyone you wish. Kinda like Todo's boogie woogie, except I can just do it on command as opposed to Todo clapping his hands.
Maki and I head to the dining hall for dinner, and Gojo popped in before we got in. "You go ahead, I'll be right there" I told her. She looked at me and him then kept walking.
"So what all did you find out?" He asked with a rather serious tone. I blinked at the slight surprise. "Quite a lot actually. Learned about this thing called Rinnegan, it's really cool and it-" "Change of plans, you're leaving tomorrow. You're urgently needed in Africa and the someone doesn't have too much time to wait" Gojo cut me off. I lifted a brow in confusion.
"Uhm..ok? Well then, I'll eat, get packed, read some more, say my goodbyes and head off first thing in the morning" I said confidently. Gojo returned to his usual happyself and ruffled my hair then walked off. I shook my head and went to the dining hall.
"What'd that toilet brush have to say?" Maki asked as I sat down with my steak and potatoes. "That I gotta leave tomorrow instead of next week. That someone in Africa is in dire need of me and doesn't have too much time to wait for me" I summarized what he said. Maki frowned.
"Tomorrow?!" She exclaimed. I nodded in shame. "Yup. I don't like it all that much either, but if I don't wanna get transfered to Kyoto then I'm goin on this mission" I huffed.
She sighed then started eating. "Don't die on me in Africa!" Nobara yelled. I chuckled. "And don't you die on me either" I joked. She rolled her eyes and kept eating.

At around 5 in the morning, a knock was heard on my door. I was already up cuz Maki was up too. Shoko came in my room to let me know that I'm leaving in 10 minutes.
I huffed as she walked out. Maki looked at me with a 'don't go' look in her eyes. I wrapped my arms over her shoulders and around her neck then pressed a lazy kiss against her lips. I hummed at the feeling.
"Don't go to Africa" She said, pulling away. I smiled then kissed her cheek. "I don't want to. But I have to, if I want to stay here instead of Kyoto" I replied. She huffed then snaked her arms to my hips.
"What if I....lock you up in some safehouse outside Tokyo. What can they do then?" She joked. I moved my head away from her. "You're kidding right?" I asked. She nodded then kissed me again.
"Like Nobara said, don't die on me" She reminded. I chuckled. "I won't. I love you" I said. I kissed her again then got up and got dressed, as it'd already been a couple minutes. "Steal something for me!" She whisper yelled. I cackled at her comment.
I got my anbu based outfit and headed out the door with my duffle bag. I walked out the building to find a plane out front. In front of it stood Gojo with his hands in his pockets and a wide grin on his face.
"Welcome aboard, my lovely student!" He chirped as I got closer. He pat my shoulder before I got in. "Have a great trip in Africa. And come back safe, kiddo. See ya in a while" He said softly. I smiled then gave him a thumbs up and walked in.
.
I immediately plopped down on the seat in front of me and I was out like a light. (a/n: no cap kinda jealous of the mfs who can fall asleep as soon as they close they eyes;; like it takes me 4 hours, 700 position changes and a sacrifice to god for that shit😭like how tf yall do that so fast😭😭😭)

A pat on my shoulder woke me up. I jolted up in the seat and lazily wiped the drool off my face. "Huh-" "Wake up, kiddo. You're in Africa" The attendant said. I looked out the window and sure enough, elephants were seen outside the window as well as a small village.
"Woahhh" I said as I stepped off the plane. A dude with dark hair and a white shirt and black pants as well as converses stood before me with a smile. "Hi there" He said as I walked up to him. "So you're Y/n?" He asked as the plane took off. I nodded and we walked off in the village.
"I'm Okkotsu Yuta. Second year. The one who requested a grade one sorcerer or higher to assist me here" He introduced himself. I smiled and shook the hand he held out. "I'm Y/n L/n. First year. So you know Maki?" I asked him. He nodded as we continued walking through the village.
"Yeah...she was quite the handfull as a first year" He chuckled. I huffed. "She still is, apparently" I chuckled with him. "Ah. Big surprise. Still a training freak?" He asked. "Yeah. It's not too hard keeping up with her, but a little hard nonetheless" I answered. He nodded at that. "I struggled a bit too at first. So how do you know her?" He questioned.
"Oh, she's my girlfriend" I proudly said. He perked his eyebrows upward in surprise. "I never knew she had one. I always thought that she thought it wasn't appropriate" He chuckled again. "Oh no don't worry. Her and I weren't really on good terms at first" I added.
"That makes sense. She prolly starts off on the wrong foot with everybody" He replied. "My friends say that about me sometimes" I commented.
"So what's the mission about?" I asked. He sighed. "Well, I've gotta retrieve some black rope that's here in Africa" He started.
"...What's black rope" I bluntly asked. He looked at me and stared at me like I'm crazy. "Black rope is......do you know what the 'Prison Realm' is?" He asked me. I shook my head no in response.
He blinked a couple times at my stupidity. "...The Prison Realm, is basically just a really really dangerous box that can seal anything. Kinda like the Jujutsu world's very own Pandora's box" He explained. I slowly nodded at that. "........Anddd what does black rope have to do with it?" I questioned.
He sighed then chuckled. "Black rope is one of the only 2 things that can get one out of the Prison Realm" He answered lightly. I nodded again and turned another corner to reveal a small straw hut.
"I was originally sent here to retrieve it, but I had trouble reaching to it and Rika- my uh....companion..wouldn't coopperate, so now you're here" He grinned. I blinked in confusion. "Who's Rika" I questioned. "....That's my own Pandora's box you don't wanna open. She's.........my curse, she's what made me a special grade sorcerer today, and I'm very thankful for her" He explained again.
I nodded yet again. "Honestly, this may sound weird at first, but I'm kinda glad that I walked in on that curse eating my dad alive" I started. Yuta's face went into shock then back to his normal nervous looking one. "If I hadn't, then I probably never would've joined the Jujutsu world. All though, that's mainly because my best friend, Itadori Yuji, ate Ryomen Sukuna's finger a few months back and became his vessel" I said. I got quiet after that, realizing that after he gets all 20, he's going to be executed.
My heart sank at the thought of watching him get executed. "...Oh" He said quietly. An awkward atmosphere formed between us for a few seconds.
"Well I'm sorry you had to see that. I'm sure that left it's traumatizing mark on you" He finally broke the silence. "It's ok. I doubt that if I hadn't and just went with Itadori to his house that day, I would've dropped out of Jujutsu Tech after the first 2 days" I chuckled with him.
"Jujutsu Tech is...awesome, in my opinion" He replied. I looked at him with a 'yeah..whatever you say, pal' look on my face and chuckled again. "So why did you become a Jujutsu sorcerer? If you don't mind me asking?" He pressed.
I sighed then pulled my mask down to breath, as it was getting a bit stuffy in here. "I became one so that other people wouldn't have to lose loved ones the way I did. Watching that curse eat him like a Thanksgiving feast made me realize how cruel this world really is" I answered. (a/n: aot moment here😭) He nodded then looked to the ground.
"So what do you think of Maki? Like, what'd you first think of her then in contrast to now?" He broke the silence again. He said that as if it was a requirement to have at least one bad thought about Maki. I looked at him then back to my fidgeting hands.
"At first I thought she was some annoying heartless bitch. Her and I first met when I was walking down the hallway to the dining hall and she took a sharp ass turn and went straight for me" I started. He cackled at my answer.
"She admitted that just some time ago. We met again the day after Itadori 'died' then she popped me in the nose after I challenged her to a fight" I continued. He giggled again. "Lucky that's all she did" He popped in. I looked at him with a 'ya think?' look on my face. "But then,, I just started to like her. I mean, she's cool, she's super talented. She's just gifted with the physical strength I could never hope to achieve even if I really wanted to, even with my L/n lineage and my Sharingan" I admitted.
"Not to mention stupid hot" I added. He chuckled and playfully rolled his eyes. "Well, I'm glad that you and her found happiness with each other. When I first joined Jujutsu Tech, she sorta bullied me for how shy I was and said I had no business at Jujutsu High as a cursed human" He admitted as well. My slight smile eventually faded and turned into a frown.
"....Normally I was lash out if you were her, but since you're not, I'm just not gonna say anything" I broke the silence. He just blinked. "Truth be told, I said something similar to her just some time back" I said. "What'd you say?" He pressed. I looked at him then at the ground.

How The Weak Live
This was a rough draft. Quite a meh one. The newer version is These Games of Ours. ---------- Lucious is deserter among many, living by dagger and beggary. Argento’s thirst for knowledge is endless, as is his belly. Kora is the perfect soldier, yet her sword grows dull in monotony. Formally known as the Empire's legend, the Captain is now stuck in stagnation. The Gods, grown weary of human deeds, have decided to indulge themselves in a different way. -------------- THE 7 REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF Clichés shall be avoided like the cancerous tumors they are. The world shall not spread its pink butt cheeks for the main character’s convenience. No character shall be thinner than one slice of white American cheese. No female character shall serve to highlight how overpowered and fabulous the main character is. No villain shall serve to highlight how overpowered and fabulous the main characters are. Grammar laws shall be upheld sometimes. I, the author, swear not to be a prick. I, the author, swear not to go away without warning. If other LitRPGs are like Skyrim, then this is going to be a combination of Dark Souls and Total War. Don't expect action for the sake of action. Be warned, this is a slow novel. Read the reviews to see if this novel is a decent fit for you. Disclaimer: I do not own that gorgeous cover art.
