Well, it's been a little bit since I've turned 16. And it's also been quite some time now that Itadori's dead. I'm starting to not be as depressed as I was, but I'm still not getting over it. Since me and Maki's first 'argument,' everything's been normal. Training, everybody talking about the exchange event, bla bla bla. I know everyone's excited but honestly I couldn't care less about it.
"Y/n, what're you doing holed up in the library?" Nobara asked. I'd been sitting at a table reading a book I'd finally found in the thousands of books they have in that library about the Sharingan. "Learning new stuff. That's why I came here, isn't it??" I said. She chuckled and hugged me from behind. "Welp, you're not gonna be a mole all day, Y/n. There's still time to train before the exchange event coming up soon and I want everyone to tip top in training, especially you" She said. I rolled my eyes.
"That's very thoughtful of you but there's more to a fight than battle skills. You also have to know the effects of your attack and when it's best to use them. You don't just go rolling in with a hammer and some nails and expect to win the fight" I said. "Huh?" Nobara asked. I sighed. "Anyways, there's also combat intelligence and strategy skills, too. If you expect to win, then you have to quickly analyze the situation" I said.
"Who are you,, Light Yagami? C'mon, if you also expect to win, using strategy skills won't be the most reliable 100 percent of the time" Nobara dragged me by my hand. "Actually, it does. But I'm not gonna explain that since it's too complicated for your pea brain" I flicked her forehead.
"Oi, I got the lump in the library!" Nobara shouted. Megumi turned to me. "Oi, switch with me" He said, walking from Maki. I rolled my eyes. "Can't I train with someone else?" I asked. He shook his head. "I'm not getting knocked down for the 13th time today" He said. "Tch, pussy" I scoffed.
I got over to where Maki was standing. "What's with you and going to the library all of a sudden?" She questioned. "Well ever since our little 'argument,' I found another way to train my eyes without getting blind like you said I would" I conjured up my usual katana. I blinked twice to get the sleep out of my eyes. Maki went at ease. "Did you sleep in the library??!" She asked.
I looked around nervously. "It's not doing anything to you now is it" I said. She shook her head. "No it's not but you can't be spending every night in the library. We need everyone to be their best in combat and that includes you if you wanna do some damage during the exchange event" She got ready again. "Yeah well there's more to a fight then the actual fighting" I mumbled.
"Got something to say?" She asked. "Nothing your combat focused brain would understand" I said. She took her polearm and poked me in the side. "Tch, I'm surprised you didn't dodge that" She stated. "Then again, you did stay in the library where you were probably up until the ungodly hours reading some book that I bet wasn't all that interesting" She continued.
I got up and brushed myself off. "Like I said, it's not doing anything to you. And is fighting and training the only thing you care about these days?? Jeez, it's like you're a terminator or something" I said. She rolled her eyes and walked over. "And like I said, everyone needs to be to their best. You especially. I don't need to be walking back to my room just to find out that you're in Shoko's office for the 100th time this week" She brushed the rest of the stuff off me. "And no, fighting and training is not the only thing I care about. I care about you too and that's why I'm being extra hard on you." She brushed my shoulders.

"Well then, thanks for your concern but I'm fine" I said before yawning. She scoffed. "Jeez how tired are you??" She questioned. "To sleep like a log for two days" I answered. She rolled her eyes. "Well, when you're flipped over to where your face meets your coochie, don't say anything" She joked. "Your humor is all over the place" I said.
Eventually we started training. I got my 3 tomoe out instead of my Mangekyo since it started to irritate my eyes a little bit and started to swing at Maki. Who barely managed to dodge my moves since I was moving so fast.
"Good, you're getting faster" She said. "Yeah thanks. Soon enough I'll be flipping you over to where your face meets your coochie" I said. "Tsk, we'll see about that" She said, taking her polearm and tripping me. "For real??" I said. "Yep. You gotta be ready for anything, Y/n. Especially if you go up against Todo Aoi. That man's a reckless lot and won't hesitate to-" "Beat me half way to death, yeah I know" I interrupted.
"Jeez, for a couple you two sure don't get along" Nobara walked over to us. "And what're you doing over here?" I crossed my arms. "Cuz, I'm getting tired of Panda tossing my around like I'm a SACK OF POTAOES!!!" She yelled to Panda, who shrugged.
"Not my problem. Go switch with Megumi" I said. She rolled her eyes. "Megumi royally refuses to be thrown like a haystack. So..?" She said. I looked at Maki and rolled my eyes. "Fine" I said. "You sure?" Maki asked. I slightly smirked. "Yeah. Don't be such a wOrRy BeAr" I teased and she rolled her eyes.
I walked over to Panda who had a huge grin on his face. "I'd like to say my last words before I ascend to above" I stopped him. Inumaki and Panda stopped and stared while I turned to the skies and held up my middle fingers.
"FUCK YOU STARBUCKS EMPLOYEES!!"
Everyone but me and Megumi burst out laughing. And I guess Inumaki-senpai was laughing too?? "What? What's so funny??" I questioned. "What did starbucks employees do to YOU??" Nobara yelled. "They spelled my name wrong" I crossed my arms.
And with that, Panda grabbed me by my ankles and swung me around. "I REGRET THISS" I yelled with every swing.
.
Like, an hour later after me being swung and thrown like a kettle bell, Panda finally stopped. "OH THANK GOD AND EVERY ANGEL UP THERE!! I TAKE BACK EVERY BULLSHIT WORD I SAID ABOUT YOU" I said, clutching the grass.
xx
(hugee timeskip to the event bc i said so💀)
.
"What- WHY ARE YOU ALL EMPTY HANDED?!" Nobara questioned. Me, Megumi and the second years turned to her. "Huh-" I said. "What are you doing with all that luggage?" Panda-senpai asked. "What do you mean- we're going to Kyoto right? For the exchange event with out sister school in Kyoto??" Nobara said. "It's an exchange event with our sister school in Kyoto. Held in Tokyo" Panda-senpai explained.
Nobara clutched the side of her hair. "NO WAY?!" She screamed. "No wonder all our conversations have been off" Maki said. "Yeah" Me and Megumi said in unison. "Shake" Inumaki-senpai chimed in. "I WAS TOTALLY READY TO GO SIGHT SEEING!!" She continued her rant.
"It's held at the school that won the previous year" Panda-senpai continued explaining. "Then don't go winning, you idiots!" Nobara grabbed Panda- I guess. "We weren't in it last year! Only Yuta participated to make the numbers match up!" He said. "That was prior to freeing Rika" Maki chimed in. "Apparently it was an overwhelming win. I didn't see it though, since it was held in Kyoto." She continued.

"I'll never forgive you, Okkotsu Yuta!! Not that I've ever even met you!!" Nobra yelled. I rolled my eyes. "That's misdirected anger" Panda-senpai said. "Shake" Inumak-senpai replied.
"Hey," Maki started. "They're here" She said. We turned around to see other students walking up the steps to the school. "Oh look. It's everyone from Tokyo together" Mai said. "You went out of your way to greet us? Disgusting" She continued. I rolled my eyes and pulled my mask up. "What's disgusting is your pores" I mumbled. Nobara snickered.
"Okkotsu's not here" Todo said, rubbing the back of his head. "Shut up and hand over the cake box, and the yatsuhasi, and the kudzu noodles, and the buckwheat brownies" Nobara demanded. "You guys hungry?" Todo asked. "Who's that first year?" A smaller girl with blonde pig tails ? asked. "She's scary" The smaller girl continued. I sighed and walked over to her and pat her shoulder.
"Don't worry. Nobara? That first year with the fake ginger hair? Don't worry about her, she won't hurt a fly" I winked. "YOU-" Nobara started. I turned to her. "What?" I asked before walking back over.
"Nevermind Okkotsu not being here. Isn't having 3 first years a major handicap?" A robot asked. "A robot?! That's a robot!" Nobara exlcaimed. "Obviously. What'd you think it was? A rabbit?" I bonked her in the head. "Age is irrelovant to Jujutsu sorcerers. Especially with Fushiguro-kun. He's from the Zen'in bloodline, but he's more talented than the head of the clan." A man with closed eyes said. "Who gives a fuck" I mumbled.
"Something to say?" The man asked. "Tch, nope" I replied. "Now, now. Calm down, guys" A girl with light blue hair and oddly cut bangs said. "Ok, now. Let's not fight amongst ourselves. My goodness, these children." A woman with purple hair and a scar on her face announced. I slightly blushed at the appearance. Wow she's hot. I thought as she kept walking up.
"So, where's that idiot?" She asked. "Satoru's late" Panda said. "As if that idiot would ever show up on time" Maki said. "No one said 'idiot' referred to Gojo-sensei." Megumi said.
Soon enough, we heard someone pushing a trolly towards us. It was Gojo, late as usual. "Sorry for the wait" He said. "You know damn well you ain't sorry" I mumbled. "Tsk. Gojo Satoru" "Gojo Satoru!" The purple haired and the light blue haired girls said in unison. The purple haired one said his name with respectable disgust while the other one....let's not talk about that.
"Hey, I see everyone's together. I was on a bit of a business trip overseas. So I will now hand out souvenirs!" Gojo said happily. "This is sudden" Panda said. "Sure it's not jetlag?" Nobara asked. "Ok, everyone from Kyoto gets this protective charm from a particular tribe. None for you, Utahime" Gojo said, handing out the stupid souvenirs to everyone but her. "I don't need one!" She yelled.
"And for everyone from Tokyo, we have this!" Gojo chirped, doing some sorta ballerina pose. We all looked at him. "Overly excited adults are creepy" Nobara said. "For real" I chimed in.
The trolly propped open a second later. And guess who came out?
Itadori Yuji.
"Hey! OPP!" He yelled, doing a ballerina pose out the trolly. An irk appeared on my face. "It's your departed friend, Itadori Yuji-kun!" Gojo chirped. I walked over to Itadori with my teeth grit and punched him right in the face. "H-Hey! What was that for?! Aren't you happy to see me?!" He exclaimed. I walked over and slapped him across the face.
"How dare you?! Where have you been all this time?! You've been alive for 2 months when EVERYONE thought you were dead?! Do you know what I had to put up with during all that?! I was lonely! You left me here by myself! Why would I be happy to see someone who does that?!" I yelled with tears streaming out my face. Itadori just stared.
"Y/n, Y/n I'm sorry but it wasn't my choice! Gojo-sensei made me stay hidden all that time!" Itadori said. "And when did you come back?!" I yelled. "..I'm guessing a couple days after I died?" He said. "AND YOU DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING?!" I turned to Gojo. He just looked at me. "WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU KEEP HIM?! THE FACT YOU CAN BE ALL HAPPY KNOWING THAT SOMEONE ELSE IS SUFFERING IS SICKENING, GOJO SATORU!" I shouted.
Like before, he didn't say anything. "THE FACT YOU TALKED TO ME LIKE YOU NORMALLY DID WITHOUT ANY MENTION OF ITADORI, KNOWING DAMN WELL HE WAS ALIVE IS WHAT MAKES YOU A HORRIBLE JUJUTSU SORCERER! I'M ASHAMED TO BE YOUR STUDENT" I said, pointing my finger at his chest before walking back over there.
Everyone just watched as I walked back over. "Keep looking at me and I'll put you all under a fucking Genjutsu and I won't fucking release it. Every single one of you" I said. Everyone turned away. I sat down on the ground, watching the ants march on with their life. Itadori walked over. "Y/n.." He started. "Don't." I interrupted, but he sat down anyways. "i'm sorry for not coming back to you. I'm sorry you had to put up with all those emotions. I'm sorry" He said.
"Well sorry's not gonna fix everything, Itadori. What you did went against everything that our friendship is. Or was. I don't know." I said. "Y/n, please. I'm back, and you're not alone anymore, you never were. You're surrounded by people who care for you-" "Surrounded by people who never stopped and left me alone!" I yelled. "I was alone, and I wanted to be alone but I wanted to be alone and have you with me!" I continued.
"Ever since that day in 4th grade, you've been by my side up until 2 months ago when you fucking played hero and sacrificed yourself! I didn't want that, Itadori! Why couldn't it have been me?! It could've been anyone worse but it had to be someone as good as you!" I exclaimed. "Well then it wouldn't have been any different if it was you now would it?!" He said. "Y/n, you're my best friend! If you'd sacrificed yourself and came back 2 days later, I'd be angry as well. But I'd still forgive you" He continued.
"You're like my other half, we complete each other in ways we didn't think we could. If it was you, I'd be sad, I'd be angry, and I'd be lonely just as much as you were" He continued with tears down his face. I sighed. "Just please, don't let that get in the way of our friendship" He pleaded. "I'm not sure if I can't, Itadori. I don't know if I can trust you. You lied without even telling me anything!" I said.
"I know, and if Gojo didn't let me come back today, you'd probably kill yourself soon. I don't want that, what I want is for us to be friends again. Like brother and sister" He cupped my cheeks. I brought my hand up to his and nodded. "Ok?" He said. "Ok" I repeated then we hugged. I opened my eyes when I felt many uncomfortable stares from everyone. "I fucking meant what I said and I'll let all of you hang from my chains until your head blows off, starting with you" I looked at Gojo.
Itadori chuckled. "Alrighty then. We're good?" He said, pulling away. I sniffed. "Far from it" I said and chuckled.
.
A bunch of fireworks shot off a couple minutes later and I wiped my tears off. Maki walked over to me. "You,, wouldn't actually put me under a Genjutsu, would you?" She asked. I chuckled. "No, but I would put your sister under another one." I said, looking at Mai.
"The Tokyo-Kyoto Sister school Exchange event will be held over two days. The first day is a group battle... The Wacky Cursed Spirit Excorcism Race! the rules are simple, the first team to exorcise the second grade cursed spirit released in the designated area wins. Several third grade and lower spirits will be released into the designated area as well. If a winner is not decided by sundown, the team that excorcised the most wins! Ther are no further rules" Principal Yaga explained.
"Of course, you're welcome to sabotage others, but remember, you're all on the same side in the fight against curses. This exchange event will allow you to learn about yourselves and your comrades throughout the mission." He continued with Gojo in a chokehold. "Be certain to not kill other competitors or injure them beyond recovery." He said. Utahime giggled at the sight. "That's it. You're all dismissed until the event commences at noon!" Principal Yaga finished.
.
"Uhm..depending on how you look at it, this could be considered extreme bullying" Itadori said, holding a present frame over his head. "Shut up and stay that way for a while" Nobara said. "Look, he's already apologized- doesn't necessarily mean I forgive him either, but let him go and you don't have to be so harsh" I said. She turned to me. "And what about you? You're pretty harsh yourself, dontcha think?" She said. "Tch" I scoffed.
I know that Nobara means well but stuff like this really makes me dislike her. "Now, now, Nobara. you heard his explanation. Cut him some slack" Panda-senpai said. "The panda talked!" Itadori exclaimed. "Shake shake" Inumaki-senpai said. "What??" Itadori asked. "Inumaki-senpai is a cursed speech user. Cursed speech is a technique that amplifies power and compulsion of words. He limits his vocabulary to keep others safe." Megumi explained.
"So if he told someone to go die, would they die? That's really powerful." Itadori asked. "Nothing that inconvenient. It's all case by case, depending on ther difference in strength. If he uses powerful words, he's hit with massive feedback. Worst case, it could affect him. Limiting his vocabular is a way of Toge protecting himself, as well." Panda-senpai explained.
"So how are you able to speak, Senpai?" Itadori asked. "Are you some new breed of panda?" He continued. "Blabbing on about people's techniques." Nobara scoffed. "It's fine. Toge's isn't that kind of technique anyway. More importantly, Yuji." Maki said. Itadori looked at her. "Give me back my Slaughter Demon" She held her hand out. "You borrowed it from Satoru, right?" She continued.
And that's when I remembered that it broke a few months ago on our first mission. "Oop- Maki- baby-" I said. "Gojo-sensei....has it...." He said quietly. "Tsk, that blindfolded dumbass!" She said. I could be your blindfolded dumbass. I thought with a blush.
"So? What's the plan? The group battle format is what we expected, but we have another member now. Do we change strategies? There's not much time" Maki said. "That depends on Yuji. What can you do?" Panda-senpai asked. "Punch, kick.." He said. "We have enough of that" Panda said. "H u h-" Itadori said.
"I don't know what he's been doing since he's been dead, but if everyone from Toyko and Kyoto fought him without cursed energy, Itadori would win" Megumi said. "Hold on, now, Megumi" i said. "Oh?" The second years said. A few seconds later Maki smirked. "Babe whatcha smirkin about?" i asked. Itadori turned to me. "Huh-" He said.
"I thought you didn't fall in love? You made a very strict rule against that. You said that 'if I ever fall in love.." He started. "ITADORI SHUSHZHASSDZ" I said. "...then I would kill myself if they ever loved me back.' That's what you said in 6th grade" He continued. "E-" i said. Everyone around me but Megumi snickered. "BULLSHIT!!" I yelled.
"HUH?!" Itadori said. "I DIDN'T SAY THAT!!" I exclaimed. "BUT YOU WROTE IT DOWN AND PUT A BUNCH OF ROCKS ON IT, CROSSED YOUR HEART AND BLOOD OATHED IT AND EVERYTHING!!" Itadori spilled. "THAT WAS 6TH GRADEEEE" I yelled. "PLUS I'M NOT- in love" I said quietly. Itadori looked at me with a smirk. "AWWW I KNEW MY BESTIE WAS GAYYYYYYYY" He chirped.
"SHUT IT!!" I wacked em in the head.
.
Megumi walked up to me, Itadori, Nobara and the second years. "Hey, you ok?" He asked Itadori. "Yeah, sounds like I've got a big role, but I'll manage" He answered. "That's not what I'm talking about. Something happened, right?" He said. "Huh? Nothing happened" Itadori said. Megumi just stared. "Ok, something did" He let up. I turned to him. "What was it?" I said. "It's true that I'm fine, in fact, because of what happened, I don't want to lose anyone." Itadori said proudly.

8 206The Supernormal
In a world where fantasy has become everyday, one man stands against absurdity. The local Tower stomps through the streets. Any hedge could contain a witch. Walls regularly crumble, though none more often than the fourth. In the magical city of Blackpool, all ridiculousness is possible, and it takes everything for Jack Of All Trades to survive. Badly, at that. Perpetually late with his rent, he'll take up arms for any paying customer in order to fulfill his quest. His obstacles include polka-loving ghosts, card-game playing vampires, and the most vicious monsters of all: copyright lawyers. When he's joined by an arrogant magus and an insecure vampire, his life gets even more complicated, but no matter what kind of infuriating choose-your-own-adventure he finds himself on, one constant remains—his rent is due at the end of the month. On second thoughts, maybe he should stay in bed. The Supernormal isn't your average web-novel. It's an urban fantasy parody that saunters through a world full of the absurd, delighting in poking fun at popular media, widely-accepted ideas, and often itself. Story arcs only loosely connect through the characters, who are themselves slowly fleshed out as the story continues. Think of Discworld meets The Dresden Files meets Gintama. This novel won't be for everyone, but if it is for you, you're in for a hell of a ride.
