At the station, they pulled up to the platform, and the passengers boarded the coaches. They whistled, and headed off along the mainline.

The coaches and passengers sang their praises, and they were happy to be appreciated. At the roundhouse, Trooper asked, "Hello, how was your day today?" "It was wonderful," said Bertram. "We even double headed on the way back."

"That's not what I heard from your crew." So, the two engines pushed and pulled, and Tornado, at the to said, "YES!!!! THANK YOU SILVIA!!!!!" "You're welcome!!!" cried Silvia.

That night, Tornado now had a small respect for the older, and smaller engines as well, but she had too much pride to admit it.
