In a world overrun with hordes of undead, a small fortress stood as one of the last bastions of the living. The soldiers in the garrison were aware of the undead closing on them and understood their outlook was grim. Rem had prepared himself alongside his comrades for the incoming attack when he was abruptly summoned into another world. Now Rem is able to use magic for the first time in his life as part of a strange system inherent in his new home, and his daily plans mostly consist of finding a guild quest monster, stabbing it in the face and profiting. His prospects have improved, and he has the opportunity to live a relatively normal life in the pursuit of comfort and happiness! This is the story of Rem not doing that.---Note: There will be traumatizing content and progression is not the central aspect of this story. On Hiatus - added a note at the end of Chapter 8.

Avine: The Journey
Avine, the name recorded in the oldest records of faith concerning the creation of the world. The lands of Avine are in turmoil. A lengthy war recently ended. Casualties were terrible, but not limited to the dead alone. Breakdowns occurred in society, and kingdoms struggled with civil unrest and a never-ending stream of refugees. Mariel Bluegale has lived a relatively uneventful life. Largely sheltered from prejudice by her parents Serin and Arwaro, she grew up in a kingdom that prospered thanks to its strictly neutral policy. But the winds of war are once more on the horizon. Peace is merely the prelude to a new, even bigger conflict, one which may be decided on the identity of one. Release schedule: One chapter a week for the forseeable future. Reality caught up with me, this means I have to scale back my writing time considerably. I promise to finish it, but it will be in pieces, and likely around holidays.
