《The Omega Uchiha》Chapter 1 (Side story 1)

Minato Uzumaki was a man of grandeur meaning his annual Christmas parties never lacked in the departments of eccentricity or numbers. Although he held a more intimate gathering afterwards, in the most recent year over 50 high profile guests with personal affiliations to Minato, who's popularity was a side effect of his outgoing personality, decided to attend the party Minato was holding at his mansion instead of spending the sacred day with family. Amongst these high profile individuals who prioritised networking over family bonding, was a young omega named Deidara.

Being one of the only guests who came from a more financially deprived walk of life, Deidara stuck out like a sore thumb. He had only chosen to attend Minatos extravagant Christmas party because his close friend Sasuke had asked him to.Ever since Deidaras parents passed away Sasuke was one of the only people who constantly worried about his well-being which is the main reason Deidara felt he should attend the party in order to repay Sasukes kindness as well as spend time with his friend, however standing in the corner of a room full of chattering alphas, Deidara began to regret making the vital mistake of arriving early.

As he scanned the room in search of a familiar face, Deidara noticed Itachi Uchiha who looked very irritated as he conversed with someone he seemed to know. When remembering that he use to have a crush on Itachi who he had previously viewed as Sasukes cool older brother in his highschool days, Deidara became hesitant to approach him. However it dawned on Deidara that although he had met Itachi in passing, they had never actually spoken which served as consolation to him allowing him to muster the courage to approach him.

"Hey... erm. You might not remember me but-" Deidara blurted out nervously before instantly regretting his introduction.

"Can't you see I'm in the middle of a conversation here... who are you and what do you want?" Itachi scowled, cutting Deidara off whilst eyeing him from head to toe. Deidara was taken back by Itachis rude response, it was disgusting to him that anyone could so easily disrespect others without regard.

"Now Itachi, you mustn't be so rude" said the white eyed gentleman that Itachi was in conversation with. Deidara recognised him to be Hiashi Hyuga, a very powerful man.

"No it's ok, it's really my fault. It was rude of me to interrupt your conversation, I'll go." Deidara responded. He was eager to leave anyways due to the uncomfortable atmosphere Itachi had created.

"Nonsense!" Hiashi insisted.

"This conversation might be of interest to you actually. I'm looking for a suitor for my daughter Hinata, my top candidate is of course Itachi but after seeing a young man as handsome as yourself I'm swayed to extend my offer."

"Haha, I'm truly flattered but I don't think you'd really want that. I am an omega afterall." Deidara responded truthfully. Although it had always caused problems for him, he wasn't ashamed of his secondary gender and had no qualms with disclosing it.

"A male omega. That's... interesting. Ah, I just noticed the time, I must be on my way now." Hiashi patronised. He was clearly offput by Deidaras revelation and was looking for a quick escape out of the conversation.

"I think that's for the best Hiashi" replied Itachi.

"Goodness...I wonder if I should really allow my daughter to marry a man with such a foul tongue." Hiashi thought aloud before walking off.

"That fucking bastard he's full of shit. I've told him a thousand times I'm not marrying his hideous daughter" Itachi complained before realising it was only him and Deidara left standing together.

"I think it's a bit harsh to call her hideous, from what I remember she's quite the beauty." Deidara responded to silence Itachi.

"Nobody asked you, stupid omega." Itachi insulted. Although Deidara took a disliking to Itachi as a result of his unbearable attitude, he wasn't at all offended by Itachis insult. Probably because he was use to always being judged Deidara actually found Itachis snarky response funny causing him to giggle.

"I've heard worst." Deidara told Itachi frankly before he turned to walk away, not wanting to be clouded by Itachis negative aura any longer than neccessary. As he turned Itachi grabbed onto Deidaras arm but quickly released it after realising the intruding nature of his action.

Itachi struggled to understand why he had stopped the long haired blonde man from leaving, afterall he was both prideful and carefree which is how he was able to go through life talking to people in reckless ways without batting an eye.

"She's not hideous, just not my type." Itachi told Deidara in response to the previous comment he had made about Hinata. Deidaras nonchalant reaction to his insult stirred something within Itachi, perhaps he felt bad that Deidara had grown so accustomed to self depreciation to the point that he didn't even defend himself when insulted. The mere possibility of this being the case saddened Itachi as it reminded him of the time Sasuke was at his lowest point. For this reason he didn't want to let the omega just walk away without making things right.

"Oh... okay." Deidara responded, no longer interested in the topic of conversation.

"What's a guy like you doing at a place like this anyways, anyone with eyes can see this is not your type of crowd" Itachi swiftly changed the subject whilst attempting to be nice to the best of his ability.

"A guy like me? What's that supposed to mean?" Deidara queried, becoming frustrated at Itachi.

Itachi scratched his head, realising he'd only worsened the situation by verbalising everything that came to his mind without any fine tuning.

"Just that you seem different" Itachi explained.

"Sasuke invited me."

Itachis eyes lit up at the mention of his little brothers name as he began to wonder how they were affiliated.

"What's your name again?" Itachi questioned after realising he hadn't even collected the blondes name.

"Deidara."

"Deidara! Your that little squirt who used to follow me around with Sasuke whenever you'd sleep over. I totally remember you." Itachi blurted out, once again unable to sugar coat his thoughts.

"I never followed you anywhere... we barely even spoke. Maybe you've got me confused with someone else." Deidara blushed and defended his previous actions knowing fully well that Itachi was correct.

Itachi chuckled at Deidaras petty attempt to lie, he found Deidaras emberassment funny. As he watched Itachi laugh, Deidara noticed how much more handsome he had become which made his heart beat the slightest bit faster. Although he disliked the current Itachis character, Deidara had always been weak to Itachis good looks.

"Come to think of it you haven't really grown much at all, your still quite... small." Itachi observed.

"Don't even go there, I've grown a lot. Your just stupidly tall and unnecessarily muscular" Deidara retaliated. Whenever people commented on his height or build he became very defensive.

Itachi looked down at the petite omega who stood at 5ft 9 inches and smiled. Deidara wasn't particularly short but in comparison to the 6ft 5 Itachi, his height appeared questionable.

"Yeah... my bad" Itachi surrendered in order to deescalate the situation. Deidara simply rolled his eyes in response.

The conversation between Deidara and Itachi was stopped by the arrival of Naruto and Sasuke.

"Deidaraaa!! So good to see you." Sasuke interrupted and hugged Deidara tightly. Deidara hugged him back, relieved to finally see him.

"Yeah you too" Deidara responded. They walked away caught up in conversation leaving Naruto and Itachi alone with the kids. Itachi couldn't take his eyes off Deidara as he walked away.

"Who's that guy?" Naruto asked, noticing Itachis fixation with him.

"Just a childhood friend of Sasukes I guess."

"You like him?" Naruto pried.

"I'm not gay Naruto, it's not like that. He's just... nevermind" Itachi drifted off. Naruto dropped the matter and everyone carried on with the festivities as normal.

At the end of the night both Deidara and Sasuke were devastatingly drunk, they'd had so much fun catching up that neither of them realised the sheer quantity of alcohol they were consuming. Naruto had put Azia and Seto in the car and was aware that Sasuke needed to be driven home immediately and was also concerned for Deidaras wellbeing.

"You can't drive in this state, I'll drop you off"

Naruto suggested to Deidara who could barely stand straight.

"Shoreee! I love in Convent Lardens" Deidara slurred.

"Convent Gardens... that's near you Itachi, do you mind dropping him?"Naruto plead.

"No way. I'm not a taxi driver and I hate drunks" Itachi scoffed.

Deidara walked over to Itachi and hit his chest.

"I realry don't like yew. I can't belev I used to have a crush on yew..."

Itachis chest tightened as he wondered if Deidara was telling the truth.

"On second thoughts, I'll take him home." Itachi said with a defeated look on his face.

"Don't do anything inappropriate, he's really drunk" Naruto warned Itachi, noticing the look of desire in his eyes.

"Shut the fuck up" Itachi responded as he grabbed deidaras waist in one hand and his legs in the other, cradling him all the way to his car.

"Your realry strong" Deidara observed, unphased by the way Itachi had carried him.

Itachi wasn't lying when he said he hates drunks so dealing with Deidara in this state was incredibly hard for him meaning he had to make a conscious effort to exercise patience.

"Please put on your seatbelt" Itachi commanded.

"Can't" Deidara replied after tugging on the seatbelt with minimal effort.

Frustrated, Itachi took it upon himself to do Deidaras seatbelt for him.

"It's like I'm dealing with a kid" complained Itachi before revving the engine of his car and driving straight to Deidaras house.

"What's the door number? We're here now."

"2."

Itachis spotted Deidaras house and escorted him out of the car to his door.

"Do you have your keys?" Itachi asked.

Deidara motioned to his back pocket and Itachi retrieved his key and opened the door.

"You should be fine now, I'm going." Itachi told Deidara, not wanting to intrude into his house without permission.

"No... don't go" Deidara pleaded as he flung his arms around Itachis neck. Itachi remained silent and attempted to remove them.

Deidara suddenly planted a kiss on Itachis lips, acting on drunken impulse. After a few seconds Itachi returned to his senses and pulled away. Their bodies were so close together which caused Itachis thoughts to wonder.

"I think I should really go" Itachi told Deidara as due to the excess physical contact, Itachi now had a rock hard boner.

"Is it that I'm not good enough to stay for?"

Deidara wore a sad expression.

"Yes.. No! I mean no... I don't know. Look it's not that. Your just not yourself right now and I don't want you to regret anything when you come back to your senses."

Itachi was so flustered he didn't even know what he was saying anymore. Nobody had ever had such an overwhelming effect on him.

Itachi took Deidaras phone from his pocket and logged his number on.

"Make sure to message me when you've sobered up so I know your safe. If you don't message I'll assume the worst." Itachi notified him then left abruptly without so much as a goodbye.

His exit was for the best as it prohibited what could've become a very dangerous situation.
