Sakuras pov

I'd been so busy with work recently that I hadn't had a chance to speak to Naruto. I was finally promoted to head doctor at my hospital but didn't tell him as I wanted to settle into the role first. I'm planning to visit him and tell him today.

"You going somewhere?" Ino asked me as I was preparing to leave.

"Yeah,I'm just paying Naruto a visit. He hasn't been in contact lately which is really strange so I need to check up and see if he's okay" I responded.

"Ok beautiful, be safe" she told me before kissing my forehead and saying goodbye.

When I arrived at Naruto's house I realised I'd forgotten my keys as I was distracted by my interaction with Ino, meaning I would have to knock. Knocking on my best friends door was a strange feeling to me since we'd always had total access to every aspect of each other's lives. Nevertheless I endured it and continued to buzz the doorbell annoyingly without caring much about the way this would be perceived.

The door was finally opened.

"Took you long enough Naruto I've been-"

I looked up to be met by a glaring Sasuke. Shock overcame me. What did this mean?

Suddenly it all made sense why Naruto had been ignoring me for so long...

Fucking Sasuke.

Sasukes pov

When I opened the door and saw Sakura I had half a mind to slap her into next week then slam the door right in her face. It's unbelievable that she had the nerve to show up here after what she'd done to my family.

"What the hell do you want bitch?!" I questioned her aggressively. Honestly it wasn't in my nature to be disrespectful to women but Sakura was an exception.

"I'm here to talk to Naruto, I most certainly didn't expect to see the likes of you here" she retorted.

"I couldn't give less of a shit, your not entering this house, I don't want my children encountering filth like you. If you want to talk to Naruto pick up a phone and call him" I instructed before slamming the door in her face. I wish I could forgive her but seeing her behaving so unapologetically, I knew it was impossible.

Hearing the commotion Naruto rushed down with Azia in his arms. These days Azia didn't even bother hiding her favouritism towards Naruto. It was all too blatant, sometimes I even questioned whether I meant anything to her at all.

"Who was that?" Naruto asked before attempting to hand Aria over to me. She struggled and rejected me whilst clinging onto Naruto. I couldn't believe her. Naruto pat her back to calm her down and continued to hold her whilst mouthing 'sorry' to me.

"Nobody important." I replied, choosing to ignore Azias bratty behaviour. "Hopefully she's gone."

"She?" Naruto reaffirmed seemingly narrowing down the list of women who would knock on his door. His phone began ringing.

Narutos pov

I decided to pick up Sakuras call. After I found out what she did I hadn't responded to any of her calls or messages as not only was I too confused, I was focusing all my energy into getting my family back. Given the suspicious nature of Sasukes responses I assumed it was Sakura who was knocking on the door and although I understand why he left her there I felt too bad to leave her standing outside like that after coming all the way here.

"Naruto you have some serious explaining to do, open the door right now you son of a-"

Bleep.

I cut the call before she could finish her sentence since Azia was lying on my shoulder and would've heard Sakuras use of profanity.

"Sasuke, I understand your reservations but please give her a chance to explain herself..." I pleaded with him.

"She never gave us a chance, she robbed us of our chance to be happy for so long. So why should I give her a chance?" Sasuke asked me furiously.

"As I said before I don't blame anyone but myself for what happened all those years ago Sasuke, not you and not Sakura. So if you want to be mad at someone it should be me."

"Enough Naruto. Just let her in. But don't let the bitch anywhere near me!" Sasuke was clearly very angry because he had never sworn infront of Azia before.

I kissed him to calm him down and caressed his cheek with my free hand.

"Stay and talk to her please... for me" I begged although I knew I had no right to make this request.

"I want a kiss too daddy!" Azia sulked before Sasuke could answer me.

"You were cute for the first two years but now your really starting to get on my nerves" Sasuke half joked causing Azia to stick out her tongue. I laughed and kissed Azia on the cheek feeling as though I was stuck in a tug of war between my lover and daughter.

Sasuke opened the door.

"About fucking time!" Sakura screamed as she marched in. I pressed my face into my palm when I thought of the amount of swear words I would soon have to cleanse from Azias pallet.

"Seriously Naruto? So whilst I've been worried sick about you for these past months you've been playing house with Sasuke?!" Sakura raged, evoking an offended look from Sasuke. Before conflict between them further escalated, I quickly intervened.

"Calm down Sakura. I would've called you when I was ready, finding out that your friend lied to your pregnant boyfriend to drive him away isn't an easy pill to swallow so forgive me for the lack of interaction..." I trolled.

"P-Pregnant? Is Sasuke an omega?!" She asked clearly in shock as her eyes widened.

"And what's it to you?" Sasuke combatted coldly. Still clearly unready to forgive her.

Sakuras expression softened and she ran to Sasuke and hugged him.

"I'm so sorry!" she said through stifled tears. I could tell Sasuke was taken back by this display of remorse by the way his cheeks reddened.On the other hand, I wasn't suprised at all. This is because I knew the one thing Sssuke and Sakura had in common was their kindness.

I understand that Sakura did what she thought was best for me and even though she had no right to instigate our separation, in doing so I realised just how essential Sasukes place in my life is so,in a sense, I'm grateful to her.Admittedly though, I did need space from her because it wasn't easy to digest the fact that she had hurt Sasuke.

All I wanted right now was for them to get along.

"Get off me" Sasuke squirmed although he didn't actually push Sakura away when he could've done so easily.

"I thought I was doing the right thing at the time... I made a promise to Kushina to protect Naruto. I didn't want to let her down so I compromised my integrity and did something I knew was wrong to achieve what I believed at the time to be the best solution. I'm so sorry I misread the situation. I'm just so sorry Sasuke." Sakura managed to express comprehensively even through her vigorous tears.

"Kushina?" Sasuke questioned.

"Naruto's mom, she was always like a second mom to me but she's been in a coma for years now." Sakura responded.

Sasuke looked at me with sad eyes before comforting Sakura.

"I guess it's okay, your not solely to blame anyways, I acted stupidly also..." He unburdened her and returned a hug. I guess Sasuke knew what it felt like to lie out of an irrational sense of fear and duty therefore he couldn't find it in his heart to resent Sakura for it.

"This is great and all but the prominent issue here is the fact you have both sworn in front of my impressionable daughter" I scolded.

"I find this unnacepta-"

As if in sync, Sakura and Sasuke rolled their eyes simultaneously and walked off, chatting about God knows what and actively ignoring me.

I couldn't believe they'd flipped from hating each other minutes ago to ignoring and excluding me the next.

I looked down at Azia and shook my head. Although it was unbelievable I seized this opportunity since I had something important I needed to discuss with the kids.

Me and Azia journeyed upstairs to find Seto. Since Azia still didn't want me to let her go I placed her onto my lap whilst Seto leaned on my shoulders.

"Listen very carefully guys, you can not under any circumstances tell your mom anything about what we're about to discuss. Okay?!" I told them firmly.

Seto looked at Azia, implying her to be the weakest link amongst us. She hit his shoulder playfully in retaliation causing him to laugh.

"I won't tell okay!" She yelled.

"I'm planning to propose to your mom. You guys probably don't know what that means but still, I need your help with this."

"Sounds really boring. " Seto responded before letting out a sigh. I couldn't help but chuckle.

Even though they were both bored to death by my explanation of what their roles in my grand proposal plan would be, I made sure not to miss a single detail. Although it was a complicated plan, the kids would have enough time to master their roles since I didn't plan on proposing just yet.
