《Alpha's Little Luna》Chapter 72

Ever since the day that we found Maxen, things haven't been quite the same. Everyone is so on edge, scared for what comes next.

We had a proper burial for him, and celebrated his life. Though after that, it was time to prepare.

Countless hours in the facility learning to ready ourselves, we have to make the best versions of ourselves.

Though even after days and days of training, I still have no wolf. I cant even remember what it feels like to be one anymore. It just feels like a distant memory.

Not to mention that the withdrawal is taking a toll on my body. From fevers, nausea, jitters, hallucinations, insomnia. I have it all.

Greyson has gone back to forcing me to go to sleep with his voice. It's either that or my body refuses to sleep with constant thoughts and bad scenarios.

Maxen's death, and the warning portrayed by the death isn't helping my situation.

Not to mention Seb is more distraught than usual.

Even after meeting his mate, he still hasn't seen her again since they met. He doesn't want to bring her here because it's too dangerous. Then he does not want to meet her in town because he could potentially leave all of us if Bahee suddenly comes.

Though I still hear them calling each other at various times during the day.

Their calls is one of the only good things happening around here.

Everyone else is merely preparing for the worst.

"Willa," I pant looking up to Grey who nods at me holding up his fists. Shaking my head clear I then hold up my own.

"Sorry," I swing a punch which he catches with ease. "I was just-" I duck out of the way of his punch. "-thinking about everything."

Sweat steadily drops off my forehead, as we continue going back and forth. His own skin glistening with sweat, I guess I can call it a mini victory.

"Stop thinking," he sighs before kicking his foot. I frown jumping back and out of the way.

I don't think he knows who he's talking to. I never stop thinking, and tend to over think. "Not that easy," I grunt before running towards him again sending multiple punches. Frowning I watch as he blocks all of them and in the process he manages to grab my wrist.

He smirks flicking his eyes to me before he twists my arm so my wrist lies between my shoulder blades. Arching my back, I groan in pain until he takes out my legs.

My face presses to the ground as he sits on my back. "If you lose focus then you can't fight, and if you cant fight-" he pauses only to grab a fist full of my hair. I scrunch my face as he pulls my head off the ground. A shiver runs down my spine when I feel his finger trace from one side of my neck to the other signifying it being slit. "-you're dead," he whispers pressing his lips to the top of my ear.

He finally let's go of my hair and wrist which makes me release the air that I've kept pent up in my lungs.

Sighing I turn under him so I can look at him. Resting the back of my head in the mat he looks down to me with an amused expression. "My head's just everywhere right now, but-" I smirk resting my hands on the top of his legs. "-you have to admit that I am getting better." I smile quickly after, urging him to move along with the conversation.

He smiles a small smirk, putting his hands on either side of my head. "True, but-"

"But?" He chuckles, pressing a finger to my lips silencing me.

"You still can't beat me."

Scoffing I hit his arm.

Beat him?

Okay, sure.

"I've never been able to beat you," I narrow my eyes. He relays my expression teasingly.

"We're going to keep training until you can."

"You're kidding," I laugh rubbing my eyes. No one can beat him that's why he's the alpha. Sure if I played dirty and used the bond against him maybe I'd have a shot. But he wants a legitimate win.

He looks amused as he watches me complain and question. "You don't have your wolf still. You need to be the strongest you've ever been in this form so you can defend yourself if anything happens."

I yelp as he suddenly wraps his arms under my arms and around back. I close my eyes as he starts falling backwards suddenly. Flinching I feel my stomach drop, though he breaks the fall as I land on top his chest.

My head resting under his chin as he hugs me close to his body. "I just don't want anything to happen to you."

"Nothing will," I try to assure. Though with our chests resting against each other I'm sure he felt the uneasy skip of a heart beat. The slight lie in my tone I'm sure he caught as well. I don't know what will happen so that's why I cant be confident in my words.

"You don't know that," he quickly calls me out on my shit. "That's why we have to be prepared."

He kisses my forehead quickly which makes me raise my head to look at him. His expression is blank which makes it so I can't read it. It's safe to say that he's just as afraid as anyone else.

I kiss his lips hearing him sigh off the tension as I do so. "Then we'll keep training." I tell him against his lips to which he nods.

I wouldn't mind continuing, but before I can get too ahead of myself he softly grabs the side of my neck pushing me away from him.

Frowning, he smirks. "Now now," he says in a mocking voice. "Seb is going to be here with the others soon. Let's get back to work before anything starts."

Sighing, I send him a look reminding him of the last time we were in here alone. He chuckles quietly before slinging an arm over his eyes.

I offer him a hand as I get to my feet, after many rejects, in which he gladly takes. Only a few seconds later Seb walks through the door with the warriors.

The place slowly fills with chatter and footsteps. Grey steps behind me, resting his forearms on my shoulders as Seb walks towards us.

"Surprised I didn't catch you two getting it on," he narrows his eyes stepping in front of me.

"Just a couple seconds too slow. You could've enjoyed the show," Grey teases which makes Seb rub his eyes chuckling slightly. I move my shoulders from under him in response which makes him lean forward before catching his balance again.

He nudges my back with his elbow in protest, but he just replaces them back on my shoulders again. "Alright, I'm going to walk away before I get jealous and leave the territory to see my mate." Sebastian smiles a bitter smile before he turns to walk away.

Quickly I reach out grabbing his hand, "Seb wait." I say, once again stepping out from under Grey. He groans, but I don't pay attention. "I know you want to see her, I don't blame you. When all of this is over-"

"But what if something happens," he interrupts looking down to me. It's been a while since I've seen him have such a serious expression on his face.

"Something happens?"

He sighs, "Like-" he then stutters before looking away. "Forget it, if you want to train Silas is here and you can help him. If not, Penelope agreed to give you some more Luna classes. Go where you want," he let's out quickly before shaking his hand from my grip walking away.

Frowning I watch as he plasters on a fake smile walking to the others. He claps them on the back before instructing them.

"I'm not letting anything happen to any of you," I whisper sensing Grey standing just behind me.

He moves the hair off my shoulder softly, "I know. Neither will I."

My eyes look over to Silas who's standing stiffly in the corner watching everyone. He tilts his head watching as a pair in front of him shifts and continue fighting as wolves.

"Are you going to stay here instead of going to see Mom?" He asks.

"I'll see her tomorrow, I'm more worried about Silas than my Luna skills."

"Okay," He hums before kissing the side of my neck. "I'll just be over here with Seb if you need anything."

Smiling slightly I watch him walk away before making my way towards Silas. He looks overwhelmed by everything happening. I can't blame him though, seeing everyone train for the first time is a bit much to take in.

"Hey," I say catching his attention. His shoulders slouch as soon as he sees me letting go of all the tension.

He flashes a quick smile. "Sorry I didn't know where to go."

"Here," I grab his shoulders guiding him to a mat laying behind him. "Today, I will be training with you."

His eyes go wide for a second as my hands drop from his shoulders. "You?"

"Yes, me," I raise my eyebrow. "Do you know how to fight?"

He shrugs rubbing his forearm uneasily. "Someone taught me some things while I was in my old pack."

"Great, let's start. Do what you can, and I'll keep your pace." Nodding I step forward taking a stance, he follows, his knees bent slightly.

I nod making sure he's ready, he hesitates for a second before nodding as well.

Quickly I send a punch, just to his stomach so it wouldn't hurt as bad. But to my surprise, he steps out of the way almost like he saw my actions before hand.

Scrunching my eyebrows slightly I send another one, same area, and he steps out of the way once again.

Okay, time to up the difficulty. Sending more punches at a higher speed and aimed in different places, I still don't land a single one.

Each time I swing he's one step ahead of me, either stepping out of the way, or ducking under. Though he does all of this with his hands behind his back not bothering to send any of his own attacks.

Some things my ass. He knows exactly what he's doing and he's doing amazing.

Sending out a kick he jumps over my leg and presses his back to mine. The hell?

I turn to try and face him again but he just matches my movements keeping our backs together. Biting my lip I kick my leg out.

Finally after not landing anything, I hit the back of his knee making it buckle.

He stumbles forward letting me turn around finally. He turns his head smiling, before facing me as well.

At least he finds this amusing.

Swinging a fast punch, I groan when he barely backs up fast enough. His eyes widen as he watches it fly past him realizing I almost landed a hit.

Quickly he looks back to me. I gasp as he reaches forward grabbing my shoulder.

His eyes dance across the area and with one tight squeeze of his thumb and pointer finger, my arm tingles and becomes filled with needles.

"What the-" I breathe watching my arm go limp by my side.

He chuckles stepping back.

My eyebrows crease confusingly. If I can't control my right arm, might as well start with my left.

I clench my opposite fist, which catches his attention. Before I can even think about swinging he reaches forward hitting a single knuckle on my left hip making my leg do the same thing.

How is he doing this? It's like I cant control either of my limbs. They're completely numb to anything.

"And-" he links snickering running behind me. Only then does sole of his foot kick in between my shoulder blades sending me forward. Without a leg to catch my balance and only one arm at operation to catch myself, I hit the ground.

"Silas, what the hell?" I ask quickly before propping myself up with the arm that is currently still in use.

He couches down putting his elbows on his knees, smirking. "This is what I was taught way back when. I'm not very strong, so this was the alternative. Also you'll regain feeling in a minute or so." He waves off his words as if it's nothing.

"What just happened?" Grey, Koda, and Seb all walk up. It only takes a second to realize it's Seb's voice all condescending and mocking.

I'd like to see him go against Silas and see just what happens.

Grey reaches down grabbing my arm to help me sit up. "Silas used this technique, and made my limbs go numb with one touch. Not to mention he dodged all of my attacks."

Koda wraps an arm around Silas, smiling widely. Silas blushes leaning against him.

"Silas," Grey says after checking my arm to make sure it wasn't actually damaged. Though when my fingers started to move, he knew Silas knew exactly what he was doing.

Silas' eyes scan over to Grey his muscles slightly stiff. "Would you be willing to teach how you did that? I think it would be very valuable since we don't exactly have any defensive methods like this."

He takes a second shifting his eyes nervously, before timidly nodding his head. I smile slightly, thinking this'll be a huge advantage until I realize that Silas isn't the only one who knows how to do this. "Wait," I speak up gaining everyone's eyes. "Do other's in Bahee's pack know how to do this?"

Silas shakes his head. "My brother was the one who taught me this, and he moved packs because of his mate. He wouldn't share this with people who could potentially use it against him."

"Can you do it to me? I wanna see how it feels," Seb blurts suddenly walking up to Silas.

"It's not pleasant," I say, now finally being able to make a first with my fingers.

He waves me off before looking at Silas again. "Do it," he repeats. His eyes are wide with excitement as he bounces his shoulders.

Silas shakes his head, "This isn't a fun game Sebastian. This is a defense tech-"

Before he finishes Seb swings a punch to which he ducks out of the way on instinct.

Koda grabs Sebastian's arm sending him a warning. Though Seb just pushes him off. "Come in Silas," he pressures. "Use your defenses."

Seb continues to swing as Silas steps and dodges around them. Well that's until Silas rolls his eyes knowing Seb won't stop.

In an instant I watch as Silas grabs Seb's hips turning him around and pushing him slightly so his back is to him. Seb makes a confused sound before glancing back. Only then does Silas take his knuckle jabbing it into the base of his neck.

Almost instantly Seb's body straightens and tightens before his knees buckle and he falls back. "Holy fuck," he says as he lays there motionless. "I cant feel anything below my neck."

"I told you this wouldn't be fun."

"This is so cool! It feels like static," Seb laughs which makes Silas drop his jaw.

Pinching the bridge of my nose I sigh, he's hopeless.
