《Alpha's Little Luna》Chapter 49

Crossing my arms I lean against the wall while Greyson flips through papers on his desk.

We're traveling to Bahee's territory in a couple of days, and I'm not exactly happy about it. I mean, Silas had to calm me down when he told me the reason he couldn't speak.

I just want to keep him here, and away from Bahee.

But he was forced to go back, as soon as he came.

I haven't seen him since the day after the Harvest Festival. That was five days ago.

Let's just say I'm in a constant state of irritability. I can't think of anything, but him.

So now Grey and I need to go over there to make Silas apart of our pack, and to make sure they don't attack Eli's pack while we're at it.

Chewing on my lip I watch Grey carefully as his eyebrows scrunch together, releasing a sigh.

He's been reviewing the documents over pack transitioning. Our rules are simple: pick a pack to reside in, and the foreign mate becomes a member.

That's how it should be every where.

The Lunar Pack obviously thought differently.

We have to trade something in return of taking a member. We just don't know what yet.

"You think they would accept materialistic things? That's all I'm willing to trade with him," Grey shakes his head looking up to me.

Looking down, I kick my foot, "I would hope so. I don't want to give anything else, but I will we have to. We have to get Silas. " Rolling my neck feeling it ache, I look back up. "I need him."

He nods smiling. "Trust me, I know."

"Speaking of mates, where's yours?" I ask trying to change the subject wanting to take my mind off of it-off him.

A smile instantly comes onto his face with the mention of Willa. "She's looking through all of my old sketchbooks upstairs."

I smirk, he's always been the best artist. I really

don't think anyone can top how realistic and creative his pieces are.

Willa is especially fascinated with his skills.

Dropping my arms to my sides, I instantly swing them back up and over my chest after a couple of seconds.

Waiting a couple more seconds, I drop my arms again only to sigh and walk to the armchair sitting across the desk.

"Jittery?" Grey asks chuckling. Nodding I pad my fingers on the arm chair. "What has it been-five days since you've seen Silas?" His smug smile grows.

"Yeah," I whisper drawing my fingers to my mouth. "It's like I can't-"

"Stop thinking about him?" He finishes for me. "Yeah welcome to the club."

I start chuckling at the irony. "And to think, all this time I made fun of you and Willa."

It's true, I verbally told them many times they acted ridiculous. I mentally said even worse things. Yet now I totally get it.

A mate of your own changes everything.

Getting up from the chair, I look back to Grey to see him with a small smile.

He raises his eyebrows like telling me 'I told you so.'

Rolling my eyes I flick my hand, "I'm going to get water."

Grey starts laughing as I'm quick to close the door behind me. I didn't need to hear his crap, and his lecture about how he's always right.

I've heard it way too many times before.

I catch myself smirking.

Swinging myself around the door frame in the kitchen. I skip in, and work my way to the cabinet.

Though my steps stutter when I catch a pair of eyes staring at me. I only glance to them, before I pretend I didn't see anything.

Maybe I can get away with pretending like I didn't see them.

"Koda," looks like I'm not that lucky. Just act cool, he's your friend after all.

Peering over my shoulder before reaching for a cup, I plant a smile on my lips. Well, I try to.

"Sebastian," I nod before closing the cupboard.

Watching him from the corner of my eye, I watch as he readjusts himself on the stool. He looks around a couple times, there's no one here besides the two of us.

"Let's talk," he concludes after a few more seconds of assessing the surroundings.

Finally, I turn around to look at him. His stubble grown out, his glasses sitting on the table in front of him as he rubs his eyes aggressively.

"About?"

I almost cringe knowing that acting dumb never works. But if I was telling the truth, I panicked. I didn't want to form any more words.

He just looks at me, lowering his head as if he were disappointed in my reply. Trust me, I am too.

"Fine," I rush crossing my arms. Letting out a large breath of air I look up to the ceiling. There I won't find judgmental and pressuring eyes. "It shouldn't of happened, the kiss. We should just completely delete it from our minds. I mean-" I pause looking down to him. "-I have Silas now. And you-you have..." I trail biting my lip. "Your distractions." I finish.

"It's not that simple," He grumbles.

Laughing bitterly, I shrug my shoulders. "What else are we supposed to do? Do you want me to make a contract, saying that we'll never kiss again?""

Koda, stop while we're ahead.

"God, why do you do that?" He laughs shaking his head. "Stop giving me that bullshit. I want you to tell me if we will be telling anyone, that you won't do it again, and if you're going to move on."

I feel the glass in my hand crunching under the force I'm applying to it. So I quickly set it down on the table before I do something I'll regret.

"Tell whoever the hell you want, I don't care. No I won't kiss you again, because I have a mate. Finally, yes I will-and have-moved on from you and this topic. So let's drop it." I have to control my fangs from ripping out of my gums. I'm already on edge with everything, I don't need this.

"You're acting like it's nothing!" He finally screams. His face burning red. "Y-You do that and you don't even want to talk about what happened?"

"I just did?"

"No you didn't!" He walks forward. "You gave me the half assed answer. We need talk and discuss. Not glaze over it."

"Don't talk to me like that," I threaten feeling my hand itch and twitch.

"Sorry, but your not my Alpha I don't have a specific quota to follow. You're nothing-" before I can catch myself my hand grabs the glass I pushed away earlier. In a split second I chuck it, but he leans out of its way just in time.

Which then results in the glass shattering against the wall.

Sebastian's eyes are wide as he heaves his breaths, "Are you insane!" He screams, which triggers my eyes to glow gold.

My hand grabs the neckline of his shirt as I get in his face. I'm about to scream some more in his face, and maybe punch him a couple of times.

Before I can though, our bodies are pushed apart, and someone appears between us.

My instant reflex is to march right back to Sebastian, but someone else wraps my arms behind my back.

"What the actual hell are you guys doing?" Willa yells as she has her arm extended into Sebastian's chest making sure he doesn't move.

I struggle to get out of the hold, but I'm stuck in place. "Don't even think about it, Koda, Greyson grumbles behind me.

"Listen, I don't know what is going on with you two. But you need to figure it out," Willa looks between us.

I refuse to look in his eyes. He always has to make things more complicated then needed. He wants more, even when there's nothing else left to tell.

"In the meantime, you guys need to cool down or you're going to destroy the house." Willa continues running a hand through her hair. "Let's go on a run. You guys can cool off, and Grey and I will be there to make sure you don't rip each other's heads of."

"Let's go," Seb quickly responds walking to the door immediately.

"I'll agree once you let me go," bitterly I look back to Grey. He's quick to take his hands off of me. And I shake off the feeling before following Sebastian.

I don't even want to respond to the look Greyson gave me. He knew exactly what was going on, but I'm sure he doesn't like how we're handling the situation.

Sebastian and I don't even bother to put our clothes away, we just simply rip through them as we leap into our wolves.

A couple large cracks and I'm crouched in the ground, feeling my eyes flick to the sounds of three other transformations around me.

Greyson takes the initiative and leads the way, Willa behind him. That leaving Sebastian and I to run next to each other.

Though I take off before him so he has to catch up.

It feels amazing to move my body as fast as it can go, winding through the trees.

Willa was right, this is a great stress and tension reliever.

I almost want to howl with the exhilaration coming into my body, feeling the cool air whip against my face.

My fur ruffles as Grey steps it up a notch and goes faster.

This time I do howl, smiling to the sensation.

I can't tell you the last time I've howled.

Willa is the first to join me, and then Grey's deafening roar sounds making my wolf snicker.

I watch over my shoulder seeing that Sebastian hasn't joined. Raising my eyebrow I keep peering to him until I see a smirk start to play on his lips, making him finally join in.

My tail wags violently feeling unity between us. This is amazing.

Though I tilt my head when I see Grey slow. His head tilting in the air, he sniffs. Only then do I see his eyes go wide as he stumbles back into human.

He stands stiffly as Willa comes in hot, jumping out of her wolf form. "No! Stay back!" He yells catching her before she keeps running.

I skid to a stop, following the others lead and going back to human.

Grey has Willa wrapped in his arms as he covers her eyes with his hand. "Fuck," he curses over and over again.

"Greyson, what is it?" She asks trying to paw his hand away, but he refuses to take it off.

I take my eyes off them, and to the footsteps next to me. Sebastian hands me shorts and gives clothes to the other two.

Once I slide them on, my eyes follow Sebastian. His eyes snapping to the area Grey keeps looking back to. "Holy shit," he whispers. His body freezing.

Cautiously I look to the same spot, covering my mouth at the sight. I take a step forwards, and another until I'm right in front of it.

It's a dead body.

Crouching down, I turn my head away. The smell completely horrid, it's been out here for a while.

Though when I look closer, I realize it's more then a dead body.

Way more then a dead body.

The girl whose dead body lays face down in front of me, was very small. She was short and petite. Her body discolored from the decay, but I can tell she used to be tan.

Her dark brown hair in ratted knots, falling to about shoulder length.

Her eyes-even if they're clouded and almost white- were green before.

My breath shakes as I make eye contact with Seb, he sees what I see and I'm sure that's why Greyson is freaking out so much.

Traveling my eyes back to Greyson and Willa, I try to say something, but too much is going through my brain right now.

I can't even yell out to Greyson when I see Willa pull back her arm and throw an elbow into his stomach.

He instantly gets pushed back, which lets Willa finally see what we're all speechless about.

She's emotionless at first until I see her hands start to shake at her sides, then her whole body starts to tremble. "Why does she look exactly like me?"
