《Alpha's Little Luna》Chapter 47

Leaning forward in my chair, I squint my eyes. I'm not sure if I heard him correctly. Kill Eli?

I don't think so.

"Excuse me?" I question, not hiding the bitterness in my tone at all.

He smirks dragging his finger down the blade of his pocket knife. "You heard me." Bahee flips the knife around his fingers a few times before examining it once again.

I watch as his empty eyes flicker to me for a second, tilting his head slowly. But for some reason, I smile.

Killing Eli right now? This is the worse time that he could do it. Firstly, he's surrounded by many packs that are allied with Eli.

And Faye is his mate.

Faye would destroy him.

"I'm sorry, but that's the dumbest idea I've ever heard." My smile grows finding humor in this, only makes his furry burn.

"Don't laugh at me girl." He marches towards me, though I stand up quickly which catches him off guard.

"I suggest that if you want to keep your life, you should leave Eli and his pack alone. Their pack is very likable, and surrounded by allies." I smile hearing the song playing outside come to an end. "Make the smart choice Bahee," patting his shoulder I walk back outside.

I've heard so many things about him, but I find none of them to be true.

For starters, everyone talks about how frightening he is.

But frightening is the last word I'd use to describe him. His head seems scattered, like he doesn't know how to rationalize. That's kind of important for an Alpha.

Wrapping my arms around myself I scan through the crowd. Peoples faces covered by masks dance all around. Even if I knew these people, I wouldn't even know.

Well unless I had time to actually look at them.

My stomach drops hearing my name being yelled. My eyes flicker all around, but the dumb masks aren't helping me at all.

Spinning around I hear my name again which makes me take a couple of steps before turning around again.

Where did I hear the call come from? To my left or right?

Gasping loudly, I get spun in a circle. My face is gripped in two large hands, which shake me slightly. Looking up with wide eyes, I see Greyson's concerned ones flicker all around my face. I grab his wrists releasing a steady breath.

"Are you okay? He didn't do anything to you right?" He tilts my head looking around my face for visible markings.

Shaking my head softly, I kiss his palm quickly. He becomes visibly less tense before wrapping his arms around my shoulders in a tight embrace.

"He's unpredictable, I was just worried." He links me just in case there's wondering ears from the Lunar pack.

Which is possible, honestly. There's too many scents to know who's belongs to who.

"He doesn't scare me," I whisper. Thinking back to what he said back there.

I hope he actually thinks about what I said and how much of a mistake it would be if he tried to attempt anything.

Grey laughs slightly which only makes me tighten my arms around him.

"But I am worried about one thing," I mumble looking up. He raises an eyebrow prompting me to continue.

Sighing I let my arms fall from around him, grabbing his hand. Quickly I start ushering him through the crowd. "Willa," he calls tugging my hand back, but I don't stop.

"He threatened Eli. I told him it was a mistake, but I want to be cautious." I link quickly spotting Faye and Eli talking to each other.

Greyson tugs on my hand again, but this time he tugs so hard I fall backwards into him. "What?" He grinds between his teeth. "He threatened-like in-he wants kill him?"

His eyes flicker to Eli watching for a second before resting back onto me.

I nod once making his eyes narrow as a low growl rumbles in his throat. "This is the worst Harvest Fest."

Turning around I frown knowing that we will have to interrupt Faye and Eli. They don't deserve that.

Sighing I feel Greyson's hand slip into mine. "Hey guys, we have something to tell you," Grey tells as we finally make it in front of them.

Faye's dazed eyes finally snap off of Eli for just a second to look at her brother, then they're right back on Eli. "Don't you have Alpha business to do somewhere? Anywhere?" She whispers which drags a smile onto her lips.

Eli does the same, I don't think he's even registered that we're here yet.

Placing my hand onto her shoulder I give it a squeeze. "Listen," I tell her. Glancing back at Greyson, he nods for me to continue. "Alpha Bahee threatened Eli, we just need to be cautious." I link her as I watch a person walk past us.

Her head turns up to me, and finally Eli registers that were there.

Greyson looks to Eli, and scrunches his eyebrows.

Eli nods, Greyson must've linked him what I just told Faye because his whole demeanor changes.

Instead of a welcoming kind face, he's stoic and rigid.

"Not if I kill him first," Faye suddenly says which only makes my grip on her grow so she stays seated.

"We're not going to do anything," Eli nods to her. He grabs her knee softly. "That's what he wants. As long as we keep to ourselves and keep away from him, we're fine."

I let my hand fall from her shoulder stepping back besides Grey. His arm snaking around my back I watch the two as they bicker quietly.

Smiling slightly I almost shake my head.

They completely complete each other. Faye can be hot headed and impulsive, while Eli is calm and thinks things through thoroughly.

Sounds vaguely familiar.

It inevitably ends with Faye sighing as she rests her head on Eli's shoulder. "We'll stay put," she grumbles.

Eli just smiles catching our eyes once again. "I'll call some guards over just in case, thank you for the warning."

"Anytime," Grey responds patting his back.

We watch as three of Eli's guards gather, disguising themselves in the crowd. But not too far away from Eli. Close enough to where if anything happens, they can be there in less then a second.

Sighing I take off my mask walking away to find somewhere to sit.

My hand is caught, yanking me back. It only makes me grumble in protest, yet I still turn around.

Greyson takes off his mask too, giving me a questioning look.

Honestly I just want to go to bed, "The Harvest Fest is nothing like I expected." I tell him looking away to all the other people. Everyone's smiling, dancing, having fun. Now I'm just worried about Eli's safety.

He grabs my chin forcing me to look up, "Then let's have some fun," he smirks. Shaking my head I try to paw his hand away, but his hold stays solid. "Follow me, and I'll show you a good time."

Grey whispers his words across my lips before pulling away teasingly.

Just like that, I'm absolute putty in his hands.

Before I can process, he's dragging me behind him wading through the crowd. Our masks left behind us.

But, suddenly a body collides with mine. Gasping I take my hand out of Greyson's watching as their food falls out of their hands.

I'm not sure if it's my fault or not, but I apologize like crazy anyways.

Either people can't stop running into me, or I can't stop running into people. It's a vicious cycle.

Bending down I help them pick up their food, looking up, only to be taken back.

It's a man, he's about my age, maybe a little younger.

But his hair is completely white, it looks almost natural color.

It falls over his eyes when he looks up to me.

I'm even more taken back by his eyes.

Ones brown, and ones blue.

What pack is he from? I mean he didn't even bother to wear a mask.

"I'm sorry again," I tell him standing up with food in my hands.

He smiles softly, nodding towards me.

I wait for him to say something else, but he doesn't. He just looks around biting his lip. "So what's your name?" I ask feeling Greyson walk up next to me.

His eyes glance back to me as he sighs out a breath. That's when he points to his neck, opening his mouth like he's trying to form words.

My eyes squint as I try to figure out what he's implying, until I feel him trying to connect a link with me.

That only makes me more confused. Yet I let the link connect. He smiles.

"Sorry, I cant speak," he links me.

My eyes widen in realization, "Oh I'm sorry."

His shoulders rise and fall as if he's laughing. "We need to stop apologizing to each other," he glances up to me. His eyes flickering to Greyson momentarily after.

I grab his bicep, "He's mute Grey. That's why he hasn't been saying anything." I link Greyson. He only gives me a nod, biting down on his lips.

Why is he not speaking now?

"I'm Silas by the way, it's nice to finally meet you." The snowy haired boy links me.

Raising my eyebrow I watch as his smile slowly falters. "Finally meet me? You knew of me?"

"He's from the Lunar pack. I've met him before," Grey says, which makes me take an unintentional step backwards. Silas's eyes widen in panic.

"My Alpha doesn't define me," he says quickly. "I can't speak because of him. He cut off my tongue when I was a child."

"Wait he tried to do that with one of our guards," I whisper. My heart instantly aching for him.

"I guess it's one of Alpha Bahee's hobbies," Grey says peering around the crowd.

I was about to say that I was sorry for what happened to him, yet he's the one that wanted to stop apologies. So I keep my mouth shut.

Offering a smile, it's the least I can do. He gives me a small smile back. "Thank you, I hate apologies and pity."

I laugh quietly nodding my head down to the food we still have stuffed in our arms. "Here, let's go throw this away."

Quickly I tell Grey not to move, I'd be back shortly. Plus I wanted to go to where he had originally planned for us to go.

When we grow close, Sebastian is already there.

He spots us quickly and waves us down. "Who's the Santa Claus?" He whispers in my ear once I get close enough.

"Sebastian this is Silas, Silas this is my friend Sebastian," I smile introducing them to each other.

"Hello fellow person who's name starts with an S. Welcome to the cool kids club," Sebastian shakes his hand before patting his back.

All I can do is scoff at his statement. That's the first thing he wanted Silas to know him by?

Silas silently chuckles sending him a smile. "How long do you think he'll last without me saying anything to him?"

I'm about to respond, but the look of terror that crosses Seb's face is too priceless. "Don't worry, he's mute Seb."

Sebastian's visibly tense shoulders relax. I knew he wouldn't last long.

Glancing over my shoulder I see that Grey is talking to someone. Smiling I realize it's Koda.

I haven't seen Koda all night, but he looks so good in his outfit. He shouldn't of second guessed himself at the store.

"Here, I want you to meet my other good friend." I usher Silas to Grey and Koda.

His and Sebastian's conversations stop as they follow me.

Koda's back faces us, and I can barely see Greyson's head with his body being blocked. "Do you smell that?" Silas asks suddenly, quietly.

"Smell what?"

I get no response, only a push to the side and Silas sprinting forwards.

Reaching out to hold Silas back, I retract it feeling like I know what's happening.

Grabbing Sebastian I keep him back from running after, this isn't possible.

Grey looks to Silas and steps aside looking up to me after. I only nod to Grey before he steps back.

Then finally, Koda looks at the multicolored eyes, with his own.

I shouldn't of been shocked when I hear Koda

whisper, "Mate."

But I was, and so was everyone else around us.
