《Alpha's Little Luna》Chapter 46

Stumbling backwards I pull Greyson with me. Both of our mouths slacked, surprised to hear those words come from Faye and Eli.
They're mates.
Faye finally found her mate.
I feel my hand tighten around Greyson's in kiddish joy as Eli walks over to Faye. Their expressions making me want cry happy tears.
Faye is absolutely speechless, her eyes welling. Eli looks like he could just hop over the moon. His smile stretching from ear to ear.
"We should give them their time," Grey whispers in my ear. He pulls back with a soft smile.
In the back of my mind I don't want to leave.
This is completely perfect. The scenery, the emotions, everything about their first encounter is just right.
I want to rewind time so that I can encounter Greyson like this.
This is like out of a fairy tale.
Grey and I meeting was like a nightmare at the time.
But I can't deny that I warmed up to him quickly. Too quickly if I'm being honest.
That damned mate pull was so strong, and it still is. I could feel it even though I was still technically a human.
I take in a big breath, watching as Eli reaches for Faye's hand. Once their fingers touch they both shiver with the bond tingling their senses.
I look away to Grey who's staring at me, "Yeah let's go." When I whisper to him, he glances over his shoulder to the new pair before we walk away.
Once we take a few steps I let my thoughts slip away. It doesn't matter how Grey and I met. All that matters is how we are now.
Subconsciously I wrap my arms around his one, laying my head on his shoulder.
The night just started and it's already been eventful. I don't know if I'm excited or scared to see how the rest of the night pans out.
Grey kisses my forehead before leading us to the middle of the dance floor. The song slow, making the night around us seem calm in the time of liveliness.
He turns my body softly before wrapping his arms around my waist. Sighing I place my hands on his chest, resting my head under his chin.
Closing my eyes I listen around to the mumbles around us, the soft song calming me in the background.

"How're you doing?" I whisper to Grey. His heart beat not as slow as I expected.
Taking my head off his chest, I instantly can tell something is on his mind just by his expression.
He bites his lip in thought flicking his eyes down to me. "It's just-" he pauses before shaking his head smiling sardonically. "Faye," he says as if he's giving up.
"What about her?"
"I mean," he groans. "She's so young, she's too young to find a mate." He settles on quickly which brings a small smile to my lips.
Grey is being that protective brother. It was going to happen sooner or later.
"Grey," I pat his chest smirking. He raises his eyebrows, "Faye and I are the same age. I think she's older than me by a couple months actually."
His face goes flat once he realizes. "Yeah, but she's different."
Playing with the buttons on his shirt, I can't help but smile to myself. It would've been amazing to have a sibling. To feel this protectiveness over them.
"She's not." I tell him, "You just need to come into terms that she found her mate. You need to be grateful that she's with someone who you trust and know."
I looks up to the sky knowing that I'm right.
Someone comes onto the microphone making our heads snap behind me. We turn slightly as he pulls me more harshly against him.
I only get a teasing smirk when I glance back at him.
"It's that time of the night where we mingle," they say way too excitedly. "Go find someone you don't recognize and go dance!"
Another song starts up again, and couples around us start to split and find new people. But I stay put, I don't fancy dancing with anyone else.
"Can we break the rules?" I ask him.
"I was about to ask the same thing," he then admits.
He laughs softly sliding his hand down my arm. He grips my finger tips twirling me once again. I think it's my new favorite gesture that he's been doing lately.
Giggling I turn to go to him, but my free hand is caught.
Getting jerked in the opposite direction, I trip over my heels falling into foreign arms.

I squirm feeling a hand wrap around my lower back, it's only then do I realize who pulled me.
His silver tooth twinkling in the lantern lit night, while he cackles a laugh. "How generous to lend me your mate Alpha Hudson," Bahee tells him as I try to walk out of his arms.
His hold tightens on me making me suck in a quick breath.
"Let her go," Greyson threatens lowly storming over to us. Though he's quickly stopped as a bony hand lands on his chest.
His eyes snap down to the hand before going up to the face that belongs to the hand.
A skinny women pushes Grey back. Her straight, black, bob flat and dull. Her lips slathered in red, nails too long, almost curling.
"Alpha, this is my mate. Why don't you two get to know each other?" Bahee tells Greyson.
It's almost like a threat, not even remotely a question.
I don't want to cause a scene. I could kick and scream to get out of his grasp. Though this is all of my pack, and all of the packs we're allied with.
This is suppose to be a carefree, enjoyable party.
"I'll be fine, just one song and I'll come find you," I link towards Greyson's staring eyes. It's like he doesn't want to take his eyes off of me in fear that something will happen.
He shakes his head once, but I just close my eyes at his stubbornness. "He's being peaceful at the moment, so let's ride it out so he doesn't start becoming hostile."
I try to convince him. I mean I am a big girl. I've taken care of myself many times before this. I'll be fine.
If I have to resort to kicking and screaming, I will. There's nothing stopping me other than not wanting to cause a scene.
Grey sighs stepping away from Bahee's mate. She makes me shiver from the deathly gaze she gave me.
If I were to describe evil step mother that would be her.
"One song Bahee, and then she better be by my side," he grounds between his teeth pointing to the ground next to him for emphasis.
"As you wish," he smirks yanking me in one direction.
Bahee's mate doing the same but in the opposite direction.
He doesn't take his hand off my waist which makes me squirm uncomfortably. Though his grip still deadly not letting go.
"What do you want?" I ask him quite bluntly. He is dragging me along with him right now. I have the right to be blunt with him.
"To talk," he grunts pulling me up to his side once again. "Stop walking so slow, I only have one song with you," he growls out only making me roll my eyes.
Funny if he thinks he scares me.
I'm more pissed at him then anything else.
Walking inside the house we come across one of the small sitting places. Which Bahee then shoves me into it.
Tripping on my dress I fall quickly-too quickly-in the chair.
I growl out a breath feeling the irritation drip off of me. Frankly I'm not in the mood to deal with him or his shit. So if we could hurry things up that'd be great.
He sits on the arm of the couch across from me, resting his elbows on his knees.
Waiting for his words I tuck my messed hair behind my ears. Kind of funny how he was the one telling us to hurry.
"What do you want?" I repeat feeling myself become impatient. Just say words, it's not that hard.
He chuckles with my bitterness finding humor in my demeanor. "Girl-" he starts but I growl quickly warning him to choose his words wisely. "You don't scare me, you know that right?" He smirks.
"Ditto," my eyes narrow to his words.
His eyes mirror mine before he stands up quickly. I see his hands twitch as he reaches for his pocket, pacing stiffly around the room.
Only I freeze when he pulls a pocket knife from his pocket.
It flicks out quickly once he hits the button, "Now girl. Teasing aside, I want to ask you something." He whispers gliding his finger across the blade. I gulp down my spit nervously glancing at the exits just in case. "Tell me why I shouldn't kill Eli Lightwood right here, right now."

Destined To Be Yours
"I have never done this before." he whispered while cupping her face. "Me too" she said looking at his eyes. "What? You... You have... I thought..." he stammered. Her eyes widened in realization of what he could have thought about her. "Don't tell me you also believed in the rumors our office talking about." she chided at him. "I... I am sorry. It didn't matter to me. And it doesn't matter what your past was. So I didn't take into consideration of other possible ways." he tried to explain his blunder mistake of touching her nerve. She shook her head at disappointment. "I thought you are different from others. But no. Even you also thought so low me. Just leave." she pointed her hand towards the door."Please understand. I didn't mean it like that." he wanted to tell her why he thought like that. He never believed in rumors when he himself was victim of a gossiping group. "Whatever it is we will talk tomorrow.
