《Alpha's Little Luna》Chapter 40

Laying in the grass as I hear the birds chirping all around makes my mind go to ease. Its a warmer day, the sun shining brighter than the day before.

I sigh picking a blade of grass out of the ground, I shouldn't be nervous. Yet my heart is still beating with panic every few minute as I think about what I'm about to do. Who I'm about to see.

Penelope has left me, she told me to take as much time I need. She pecked my forehead quickly giving me words of confidence before strolling away.

I've been overthinking everything lately, and its not entirely fun.

Who am I kidding? I am the definition of over-thinker.

I guess I'm just doing it more than usual.

"What're you doing?" A deep voice snaps me out of thought as I looking back, squinting from the sun. I chuckle under my breath as Sebastian looks down to me, his expression very confused. His large figure blocking the sun, making my eyes relax from squinting.

"Thinking," I tell him simply patting the grass next to me, inviting him to sit down.

He grumbles in protest, but sits down next to me. "You know, I was just going for a run. But then I saw a body laying motionless in the grass. You're lucky I came to investigate before I called someone."

"You thought I was a dead body?" I smile looking up to him.

Seb laughs laying down finally, "Yeah." He continues his laughter as I join him.

In the middle of our laughing I think back to this morning, how he was so cuddly with Koda. It instantly puts a smirk onto my face, this'll be fun.

"How'd you sleep last night?" I narrow my eyes trying to suppress my smile as I see his eyes go wide for just a split second.

He nods slowly looking away from me, "Um-pretty good, I guess."

I can't help it when a huge smile comes across my face. "Yeah-" I pause choking down my laughter. "I bet you felt so secure in Koda's arms."

Laughter starts busting from my gut as he shoots up to a sitting position. "You saw?" He exclaims with wide eyes.

"I mean its no big deal. But you and I are best friends, you can tell me if y-"

He groans, "I'm not gay." He tells me like he's been asked many times before. "I don't know why, but ever since we were little, Koda and I have always done that. My mom has so many pictures of us at different ages cuddling." He grumbles his words making me smirk.

That's probably the cutest thing I've ever heard.

I smirk which causes him to scoff raising to his feet. "Enough about me. What about you? You're literally laying right outside Greyson's, parent's house."

"What about it?" I ask trying not to sound like I'm just wasting time, because I am.

He holds out a hand letting me grab it. Seb pulls me up to my feet, "Is he in there?"

He nods his head towards the house, making me bite my lip nervously. Slowly I take my eyes off of Seb, my eyes landing on the building. Full of windows, its a bright white color makes me frown.

I nod timidly.

"Well stop talking to me, go." He gives me a light shove.

Turning around I smack his hands, "I'm procrastinating." I whine.

"Why?" He crosses his arms almost looking disappointed.

Sighing my eyes flicker back to the house, "Because." I sigh, I'm overthinking again. "What if things don't go back to how they used to? What if he doesn't want to see me? What if-"

"Willa," Seb softly speaks chuckling. I snap my mouth closed realizing that I was rambling out all of my thoughts. "You and Greyson are the strongest couple I have ever seen. You've gotten through everything else, so why not this?"

Taking a deep breath he smirks as I feel myself take a step closer to my destination.

Slowly I turn, my feet taking me closer to the front door.

I swear I heard Seb say, "You're welcome." Before running off in the opposite direction.

Rolling my eyes mentally, I continue my steps.

The grass crushing beneath my feet, I freeze seeing a silhouette pass a window. They pace for a second before, they sit hastily on some sort of furniture. Before I know it I'm running.

I go as fast as I can, as fast as my body will drive.

Greyson, I need Greyson.

I forgive him. I think I forgave him as soon as he did it. I was just confused, I was just frightened.

Gasping I stop in front of the entrance, my feet taking me a lot faster than I expected. Frantically my eyes look around the door feeling my thoughts go wild in my head.

Taking a deep breath I grab into the doorknob, twisting it ever so slightly until the door clicks open. My heart hammers in my chest as I step through. The wooden floors greeting me with the clicking of my shoes on its surface.

Turning my head quickly when I hear a cough, making me confirm his presence. I follow the sound, navigating through the foreign house until I reach a doorway.

Around this corner is my mate, is Grey. Am I ready for this?

Urging my foot to step forward I nod to myself, of course I'm ready.

Stepping in, I blink seeing the room ignite with all of the natural lighting flowing in. In a room full of windows, a man sits in the middle of it.

His hair dark as night, his skin a sun kissed tan, his eyes hidden from hands covering his face.

Standing I frown seeing how deflated he is. His figure slumped, head between his legs as he slouches on the edge of the pristine couch.

Though I stiffen as I watch his head slowly come up. His hands dropping, he opens his eyes slowly. Eyes canning the room, he freezes as he notices me. I do the same.

Those blue eyes I have learned to know and love, they look so sad.

Greyson and I don't look away from each other, I don't dare take a breath. I'm sure he doesn't either.

He stands slowly as If he doesn't want to scare me away, before he works his way over to me. Our eyes never leaving the others.

I feel my heart pounding loudly and rapidly in my chest. It hammers on my rib cage violently as he closes in.

Only then do I close my eyes, his scent dripping into my nose. I feel my breaths coming out rigid, sensing that he's right in front of me now.

"Look at me," I hear the low rumble of his voice confirming that he's right in front of me.

Trying to clam my breaths, I jump when tingles explode on the skin of my chin. He pinches it urging my head up. I open my eyes to the shock of his touch, giving him the satisfaction of looking in his eyes.

He circles his thumb on my chin lightly, "I'm so sorry, little one." He whispers.

Smiling softly, I place my hand on his arm watching as he shivers to my touch. "I forgive you," I breathe out. I feel how easy it was to say those words, my head already knew it was true. "You're under so much stress Grey." I continue running my hand up and down his skin. "You just need to let me help so you don't get so overwhelmed."

He wraps his hand around the nape of my neck rubbing it softly. "I know I do. You're my equal, you're suppose to help me and vice versa." His expressing turning grim, shaking his head. "God, I'm so sor-"

"Stop apologizing," I smirk interrupting him. I act impulsively grabbing the collar of his unbuttoned top, pulling him to me.

Putting my lips on his, I feel the bond go wild. As if it was deprived for so long, fireworks fly from the kiss. My body ignites.

Grey presses harder on my lips wrapping an arm around my waist pulling me unimaginably closer to him.

I feel a tear streak down my face, holding onto him. Holding on like if I let go I would lose him forever.

Biting his lip softly, he growls. I smile into the kiss slowing the tempo. He tries to object, but I pull back before he can change my mind. Which he could've done very easily.

Pressing my thumb to his lips I pull away. He pants out his breaths as I press into his bottom lip. "From now on, we do things together. I'm going to help you with the Lunar Pack, you don't need to handle it alone." I whisper to him pulling down his swollen lip ever so slightly.

He nods releasing a breath, making it fan across my skin. "I love you so much," he wraps his arms around my shoulders pulling me into him.

Instinctively I put mine around his waist holding him tightly to me. His chin sits upon my head as I take in the moment. "I love you," I whisper closing my eyes.

I don't know how long we were standing there in our embrace. Eventually we crash onto the couch in the same position. It took seconds for us to fall asleep in each other's arms. Both of us trying to catch up on the sleepless night before.
