《Alpha's Little Luna》Chapter 33

Blinking heavily we shuffle down stairs.

"Willa! What happened?" I worried voice calls as soon as we make it into the living room.

But this voice isn't worried, no they're just trying to cover their ass.

I narrow my eyes at Jared who comes running up to us. Grey's hand tightens around mine instinctively.

I shrug looking down, trying to convince Jared of my acting. "When I went running this morning I accidentally went outside the territory and a rogue attacked me." I say monotonously playing the part.

"I'm so sorry to hear that," he says placing a hand over his heart.

I nod towards him playing along with the show that he's putting on. "So that's exactly why I'm making you head of guard again," Grey speaks up quickly.

I watch as Jared smiles wickedly, slyly shooting me a look from the corner of his eye. He then goes in, giving Grey a hug.

As they embrace I start to feel sweat rise on my forehead.

More gathers as the second passes.

My eyes blink heavily as I swipe off the sweat before the boys can look at me. Maybe you should tell Grey.

It'll stress him out more. I'm just a little hot. Nothing threatening about it.

"Here, lets go down to the cells. We changed some things since you've been gone," Greyson continues lying through his teeth.

Jared soaks up every word, not expecting a thing.

Grey links everyone else, saying that we are on our way to the cells. They all respond with either eager or anxious for the events that'll follow.

On the way there I feel like we're walking forever. With each step my energy goes down, depleting quickly as I keep having to wipe the sweat off my forehead.

Neither of the guys notices my movements as they were walking ahead of me.

Greyson keeping to his part with being all friendly with Jared.

I think you should tell Grey Willa. This doesn't feel right.

No I'm fine. Like I said, I don't want to screw up the plan. Greyson doesn't need another thing to stress about.

We walk down the cold, stone stairs into the where the cells are located. This is where I spent my first day here.

That feels like a lifetime ago.

"Good to be back down here," Jared says. He stretches his arms behind him like being down here is comfortable to him.

"We renovated Cell B. Here follow me," Grey says leading us into the cell.

Jared steps in first looking around.

Grey pushes me in as Faye, Seb, and Koda run in behind us.

Jared turns to us with a confused expression.

Faye closes the door behind her so that we're locked in with the devil himself.

We all stand before him.

My eyes travel around briefly before I shuffle back, standing behind everyone.

Shrugging my shoulders I rub my arms feeling a chill go through the room. Only to dry my forehead of the sweat a second later.

Jared suddenly starts laughing making me snap my head up.

Low growls start emitting from everyone. "That bitch told you, didn't she?" Jared says still chuckling slightly.

"She didn't have to, we figured it out," Grey tells him as he broadens his form.

The damn sweat continuously falls down my forehead dripping off my chin. I swipe it off as I feel my eyes lazily close and open while I watch the room spin around me.

As if on autopilot my breath quickens and becomes short pants. I furrow my eyebrows growing concerned with how my body is suddenly acting. Almost feeling like my throat is closing slowly.

I feel myself sway as I swallow the lump forming in my throat.

My eyes start to close without my consent as my legs wobble with weakness.

What's happening?

"Grey-s-son," I stutter as my legs can't hold me and I fall forward.

My vision going black.

"Grey-s-son," Willa whispers quietly behind me making my attention instantly draw to her.

Though when I turn around I see a very pale, and sweat ridden-almost unrecognizable girl-falling to the ground.

Before she connects to the ground I speed to her catching her head carefully, lowering her to the ground slowly as I follow.

She's unconscious though her breaths come out rigid and fast. I watch as Willa creates small pants like she has just got done running.

Her face pale as a ghost with dark circles surrounding her eyes. All of the wounds I dressed this morning soaking in the black blood pouring out of them.

"Man, she doesn't look too well." Jared snorts. Instantly everyone growls as Seb makes a break for it.

He instantly shoves him against the cell's wall grabbing him by his throat. "What did you do to her," he grinds out between his teeth.

Jared shrugs smirking down to Willa, as I push back her sweat ridden hair. "Eh, not much." He grins. "You know, just poisoned her blood."

Seb smashes his head hard against the wall as my blood starts boiling.

Good thing I'm taking care of Willa or he'd be dead by now.

Jared cringes but still smirks. "Heal her," I grind out between my teeth as Willa's face gets more pale as the minutes go by.

"Come on now, what's the fun in that?" Jared says deviously.

In just one second I lightly place Willa's head on the ground and sprint to Jared, pushing Seb out of the way.

I grip his neck tightly in my hand as my eyes shine their bright yellow. "How do I heal her!" I scream as my fangs rip out of my gums. My nails quickly growing into claws piercing the skin on his neck.

Jared laughs in my face as I see Koda run to Willa behind me. He quickly makes sure that she's still breathing and alive.

Willa can't die. She just can't.

"Tell me how to heal her or I swear-"

"You swear what? That you'll kill me? No, not that because then you'd never know how to reverse the Umbra's effect," he spits. His satanic grin never leaving his face.

I huff out growls as I search his face, searching my own mind on what to do.

For her I'd do anything, give up anything.

This can't be her time. She can't die from Jared.

I would never forgive myself.

So that's what I'm going to do, give up everything.

Jax's power, and eye color fades back as he whimpers understanding what we have to do.

Letting Jared go from my hold I take a step back. "Grey, what are you doing?" Faye says quietly.

"What I have to do to save Willa. She can't die," I respond weakly.

Slowly I glance back to Willa as she lays on the floor as Koda tries to dab her blackened blood from her wounds.

Her face scrunches in pain even when she's unconscious making her breaths quicken drastically.

I'm running out of time.

You know we have to do this to save her.

"Look Jared," I sigh. "Tell me how to heal her, and-and you can take my title as Alpha."

"Greyson what are you doing!" Faye shouts.

"Doing what I have to do!" I growl harshly at her as Seb and Koda just stare at me in shock.

Jared narrows his eyes at me crossing his arms in thought. "Tempting, but how do I know you're not bluffing?"

"Grey think about what you're doing," Koda speaks up. But I have I've thought about it millions of times before I even said the words.

Like I said, I'd give up anything and everything for her. I stare at Jared as his grin increases. "You're just going to have to take my word. I promise you, you can have my position if you just tell me how to heal her," I grind between my teeth.

Jared stays silent for a couple seconds before he chuckles as his dark eyes slowly look down to Willa. "Give me her," he says nodding to her.

"Why? What are you going to do?" I say.

He tilts his head to the side assessing me. His eyes blackening. "Healing her, I am the only one that can do so."

Everyone hesitates, no one trusting his illed state. None of us dare to move.

So, I react impulsively. I just can't lose her.

Calmly I walk over to Koda and my mate. "Don't trust him," Koda tells me as I lift her small frame from his lap. She drenched in sweat as well as her blood. Her heart barely bumping to a beat.

"I have to," I say quietly as I walk over to Jared.

Jared lifts up his hands to take her, making me give her one last look, kissing her forehead lightly before handing her over.

He smiles taking her from me.

"Now back up, and if any of you make the slightest move towards me. She's dead," he tells the four of us. We all back up cautiously. "Stand up for me," Jared tells her softly smirking up to us.

She groans quietly as he shifts her around. But she does what he tells her to do.

Jared supports her, as her back presses against his front. His arm wraps around her middle.

I watch with narrowed eyes once he slowly pulls her hair to the side revealing the bandage on her neck. The cloth falling off her skin from the amount of blood soaking it.

Jared grumbles something under his breath before ripping it off roughly. This revealing the bite wound from me trying to heal her.

He instantly smirks connecting his eyes to me. "Well well, look at this. I guess you did mark her after all."

His eyes stay locked on mine as his head dips down licking the poisoned blood off of her skin.

I roll my neck feeling a ping of pain in my own mark. My possessiveness making it hard to control myself.

Willa squirms in his arms uncomfortably. "Greyson," she cries.

"I'm here little one, I'm here. He just needs to heal you okay?" I tell her calmly as her eyes clench shut.

But then I watch as Jared grows out his fangs brushing over the mark.

My fists clench by my sides, what the hell is he doing?

He raises his head slightly looking upon her neck as he opens his mouth wider. He's going to bite her mark.

"No way am I letting you bite her mark," I growl threatening. But I still don't dare stepping towards them. Everyone in the room tense and on edge.

"This is how to heal her, I thought that's what you wanted?" His eyes squinting with humor.

"You have to bite my mark to heal her?" I growl almost running towards him to take her from his hands.

To just kill him and find a different remedy.

But I don't.

I just give him the timid nod to continue.

Everyone starts looking at me like I'm insane.

Jared doesn't waste a second.

He instantly digs his teeth into her neck. Willa gasps as she grips onto the arms he has supporting her.

Instantly I cringe as my neck screams in pain. A different wolf violating the bond.

I watch as Willa relaxes in his arms. My eyes widen suddenly as the wounds on her face heal instantly.

Jared wasn't lying.

I massage my neck watching cautiously. But it's working and that's all that I wanted.

Slowly he takes his teeth out of her skin making Willa let out a deep breath that she was holding. "She'll be weak for a couple hours, but she'll be fine." He nods keeping her body stable in his arms. "Now, about being Alpha." He smirks and I find myself hanging low.

Feeling the disappointment from my pack as I will soon announce the new leader. The break in the chain of Hudson alpha line.

But when I hear Willa grunt I see her eyes open, "You can't be Alpha," she says as her eyes glow brightly.

But she's too weak to suppress her wolf.

"No?" Jared smiles wickedly. "That was the deal."

"No," she growls. "That was the deal you made with Greyson, not me."

Jared laughs as I watched concerned.

She's not in control. She's acting completely on instinct. So when she suddenly twists in his arms I almost lurch forward to stop her, but she's too quick.

Before I can react, she grabs his chin and the back of his head twisting in a sharp, harsh motion.

All that's heard is a loud crack before a body falls to the ground.

The room is silent as we all stare completely shocked.

Slowly my mate turns around towards us. Her eyes flickering from their golden yellow back to their emerald green.

She blinks quickly as I stare at her. "I couldn't let him do that," she pauses. Her face completely emotionless. "So I-I killed him," she whispers before her eyes close lazily.

Once again I speed towards her catching her in my arms.

"She just-she just killed him," Seb says out of breath

"Yeah," I pause. "She did." I reply looking down to the much healthier Willa hanging in my arms.

"Thank god!" Faye finally erupts making us all look at her. "What?" She asks as all eyes are on her. "We all wanted him dead anyways." She rolls her eyes as she strolls out of the room.

We all nod admittedly.

"I got the body, you need to make sure Willa is okay. This is her first kill, we all know this will be rough for her." Koda nods towards me.

I nod back, "I know. She's not going to take it well, but I'll be helping her through it. She's a werewolf now, killing is sometimes an everyday thing." I say quietly as I walk about of the cell with her dangling in my arms.
