《Alpha's Little Luna》Chapter 32

I toss two pieces of bread in the toaster as I walk over to the fridge. It's still quite early in the morning. I'm surprised that I'm even awake.

The sun is barely making its way over the horizon as morning birds tweet away. It's almost silent in the pack house, other than the occasional creaks from the floor boards.

I sigh pulling a cup from the cupboard pulling the milk out of the door.

The toaster sings behind me and I quickly set the carton back in the fridge closing it. But right as I'm about to turn around to get the toast, hands land on my shoulders

Harshly I get spun around knocking the milk from my hands as it spills all over the floor.

My breath is sucked in harshly as deadly dark eyes stare at me. "You didn't tell them anything did you?" Jared harshly says pushing me against the metallic fridge making my head slam against it. I cringe, though I grit my teeth no longer feeling afraid of him.

"No." I breathe out heavily. "They don't know a thing," I lie staring into his eyes. It takes me so much restraint to not let my heart raise in tempo as I lie to his face.

"Fine," he smirks demonically. "Then we have time to play."

He lurches forward gripping my neck, slamming my head hard into the fridge. He throws me down to the ground taking a step back.

Coughing, I rub the back of my head.

He chuckles crouching down. "Just like old time." He smirks reaching over, pinching a strand of hair between his fingers. "It's refreshing isn't it?"

"I'm going to kill him right now. Screw the plan," Greyson pops into my head. Sensing the pain through the mark.

"No. I'm fine. Don't screw it up," I snap at him looking up to Jared.

He slowly wraps my hair around his finger. Blinking up to me.

I frown spitting in his face making him let go of my hair.

Jared clenches his jaw slowly standing up.

He kicks my stomach making me grunt with pain. Constricting with the ache.

"Someone's going to hear," I hiss at him trying to play the part. Painfully I move to my hands and knees. My long hair cascading messily down my shoulders.

"Who?" He smirks, "Koda? Sebastian? No, they're on a morning run. Faye? She's on a morning play date with little Lillie. Oh and Greyson? He's on the other side of the house. And if I am correct, I spot no mark upon your neck."

Well he for once he's wrong.

But he still hasn't been able to see my mark because it's always been hidden.

I quickly manoeuvre myself so I'm resting on the toes of my feet.

Quickly I stand swinging a fist, catching him off guard.

The hit lands right under his left cheek.

Before he can react again I grab his hair clapping it tightly in my fist.

I slam his head down on the counter.

I almost laugh hearing the crunching his skull gives off once it hits the hard granite.

Smirking I hit his head, again, and again until my hand is covered in blood.

I go to hit his head another time, but his own hand snaps up to my arm that's still currently grasping his hair.

His nails fully extended to claws, puncturing into my lower arm. This takes an immediate toll on my fingers making them tense and let go of his hair.

He chuckles as he grips my arm so tightly with his nails that it trembles in his grasp.

Blood spurts from where his claws are embedded into my skin, letting a steady flow fall to the floor.

"This is new," he smirks coming closer to my face. "Little pup is deciding to fight back," he clicks his tongue shaking his head. "Oh we can't have that," Jared hisses and my panicked eyes look up to his.

They're bright and golden, his canines out and almost dripping with venom.

I snarl at him, though he just laughs at my pathetic attempt to make him back away.

The next thing I know is that a swearing pain slashes across my face. I scream falling to the ground as Jared lets go of my arm.

I bring my hands up to my face, they shake violently as I touch the tender skin.

My right eye useless as blood seeps into it from the claw gashes across. "I suggest that next time you back down, and let me have my fun without disruptions." He smirks tilting his head to one side satanically studying me.

He looks down to his bloodied claws smiling down to them. Slowly I watch as he brings his hand up, once again making eye contact with me.

But what really gets me is when he sticks his nail in his mouth, licking clean all the blood coating it. I grimace disgustingly as his eyes flutter almost as if that was pleasurable.

What the fuck is wrong with him?

"You're sick," I grind out between my teeth.

He lifts his eyebrow, smiling to me. "True," he admits nodding his head. "The things the plant will do." Jared chuckles before standing up abruptly. I can't help but wonder what the hell he's talking about.

He walks towards the front door, but stops before he leaves the kitchen looking over his shoulder. His eyes finally start turning back into their deadly brown. "Oh and don't forget, you were on a morning jog and went outside territory by accident. A rogue got you," he nods firmly narrowing his eyes at me.

I nod weakly, and he smiles approvingly. "Ta ta Willa. Have a wonderful day," he waves behind his back disappearing out of sight.

I flinch touching the gash on my head looking to kitchen. It's an absolute disaster.

Blood, milk, and toast splatter all around the area.

I close my eyes carefully lifting off the ground.

I hold my arm close to my body as it still twinges with pain while I climb up the stairs.

Panting by the time I get up them I practically limp to the bedroom from my body becoming weaker.

I practically burst through the bedroom door, "Greyson." I whisper as I see him sitting on the bed with his head in his hands.

Instantly he stands as he hears me, I can't even blink before he's by my side sweeping me off of feet. "What the hell were you thinking?" He says frustrated, sitting me down on the bathroom vanity.

He softly grasps my head in his hands tilting it so he can examine the gashes stretching across my face. My eye still blind from the red liquid pouring into it. "Damnit," he mutters before grabbing onto my arm, also examining it.

Suddenly he growls slamming his hand on the table next to me. I flinch looking up to the ceiling containing my tears. "What the hell were you thinking?" He repeats. "I could've came down there and I would've killed him. Why didn't you let me!" He shouts. I shrug pitifully, too concentrated on keeping my emotions kept inside. "I-"

"I wanted to fight back!" I exclaim quickly making Greyson snap his mouth shut. "I retaliated against him. I-I know I shouldn't have. I just should've s-stayed quiet." My voice coming out as a mere whisper.

"No," he grumbles sighing. "You're right, I have to learn that you're not a human anymore. That you don't always need my help. But this time Willa. I should've came down," he talks to me like I'm a child making me resist the urge to roll my eyes.

But he's right, I need to stop relying on him as much as I do.

Greyson steps between my legs bringing me into a soft embrace. I sigh hugging him loosely around his back. "I don't like seeing you hurt," he grumbles.

He strokes soothingly up and down my back. "I know," I whisper lowly.

Slowly he untangles himself from me once again examining my injuries.

His eyes narrow as if he's waiting for something, so I just blurt what I'm thinking. "Why aren't I healing?"

He shakes his head, "I don't know." He whispers walking to the bathroom closet grabbing a washcloth. He quickly wets it, pressing cold water to the gashes slashing over my eye. The water flushing the blood from my eye.

"What the hell?" He asks irritated as he then pats the wounds on my lower arm. "Why aren't you healing?" He repeats.

He's making me feel so much better about the situation.

"What?" a voice comes from the bathroom doorway. "What happened?" Koda asks as he comes into my vision.

I couldn't turn my head because if I did my head would just get yanked back by Greyson.

Looks like Greyson linked Koda while being puzzled on why I'm not healing. "Jared did this downstairs when she was getting breakfast. But she's not healing," he gives Koda the quick rundown.

Koda's taken back from what I could tell. "Can I have a look?" He asks Greyson and I.

I nod as Greyson steps aside grabbing onto my hand.

Koda walks up to me, his different colored eyes assessing my face.

Lightly he takes my chin in his hand moving my head so he can get a better look at the wounds. "Did he say anything that was...off?" Koda ask continuing to look at my arm.

I shake my head about to say no, but then I remember him saying something i didn't understand. "I said that he was sick, and he said yes and something about a plant?" My eyebrows furrow to the memory as I try to piece it together.

"That son of a bitch," Greyson whispers disconnecting our hands as he walks to pace the bathroom.

"Shit," Koda mumbles under his breath stepping back.

They both walk away from me like I'm infected, and to be honest it's not making this situation any better. "What! What am I missing!" I ask worried.

He grips the ends of his hair pulling them as if he's losing his mind. "He's just like his uncle," Koda laughs but I know there's no such humor behind it.

"Can someone please tell me what the hell i'm missing!" I shout.

Greyson sighs putting his hands on my legs. "Plant Umbra is what its called."

I reel my head back not understanding.

"Which translates to Shadow Plant." Koda then says. "Its an herb you can get from dealers." He shakes his head as he leans against the vanity next to me. "Plant Umbra has an effect on werewolves. At the time it gives you this sort of pleasurable feeling. You get stronger and get different abilities that we haven't totally figured out yet."

"Like stunting the healing process of another wolf you've attacked," Greyson continues piecing it back to me.

So Jared is using this plant?

Koda nods, "But as you keep taking it you slowly become more insane. More blood thirsty. Once you start you can't stop. Just like Jared's uncle." He laughs bitterly. "But where did Jared get it from?"

"From his uncle obviously," I say in a 'duh' tone. I mean he has spent the past three months with his uncle.

But as I say this they both take a step back and look at me confusingly. "What?" Grey asks.

My eyebrows furrow, "He spent the past three months with his uncle? Jared told me the first night when he almost choked me to death."

Right as I say that they both of them throw their heads back grumbling under their breath as they pace around the room. "He told me he was going on a trip with his brother," Grey says.

"Same," Koda follows.

They didn't know? They didn't know that Jared was with his drug addicted uncle for the past three months. He was probably using all of the Umbra he could.

As they both pace around the bathroom, I cringe as my face starts to burn.

My hand instantly goes up to touch the wound written across my face, but I'm shocked when my skin is soaked.

I pull my hand back to look only to see darkened blood covering most of my hand. It's color is somewhere between red and black, but it doesn't look normal.

My breath hitches, "Greyson." I say my eyes never leaving my hand.

"Yeah?" He asks stopping in his tracks. As he does so I feel liquid start running down my face. My eyes flutter up to him as he is about to turn his head. My eyes filled with fear, he finally looks at me.

Instantly his eyes grow wide as he runs over to me. His hands grab the washcloth and presses it against my head, as he pulls my body to his. "Wh-what's happening to me?" I wither out as I look to my blood ridden, trembling hand.

"Shh, you're okay. You're going to be okay," he says quietly kissing the part of my face that's not covered in blood.

"You're wound is already infecting causing it to come out darker." Koda says looking at the blood cloth pressed against my head.

"That's a thing?!" I shout worried grasping into Greyson's shirt.

Koda sighs, "I guess so."

I can't help but squirm in pain as whimpers and cries release from my lips.

"Can I heal her?" Greyson asks quickly holding me close to him.

"I-I don't know Grey. It could, but-"

"Leave," Grey cuts him off quickly.

It's silent for a second as Koda is still trying to recover from his sudden words. "But I don't know if it will work."

"Koda, leave now," he demands. His Alpha voice making an appearance.

"Yes Alpha," Koda says reluctantly walking out of the bathroom.

Greyson's eyes watch Koda as he leaves.

Once the door closes Grey looks over to me with his eyes dark and threatening. "Ma-maybe we should hear him out." I say between my rigid breaths.

I search his eyes for answers but when he slowly shakes his head no, I know his mind can't be changed.

In an instant he pulls me close to him as he steps in between my legs.

"Grey-" I start but he instantly grabs onto the nape of my neck as his hot breath fans across my mark making my words stop.

My eyes flutter close as I feel his sharpened teeth brush against the sensitive area. On reflex I cling onto Greyson waiting for the arrival of his teeth buried in my skin.

In just a second that feeling comes.

I gasp in shock.

But what usually follows is pleasure, a feeling of lightheadedness. This time, all I feel is pain.

My eyes instantly open as my legs squirm in discomfort.

My neck starts to burn under his teeth, "Gre-Greyson." I say gripping onto his shoulder.

He pulls me closer wrenching his fingers into my hips.

Then the slight burn turns into an agonizing sizzle like fire burning the spot. It spreads to my entire neck making me gasp for air. "Greyson it hurts," I say cringing.

The fire spreads, like I've just been thrown into the pits of hell. "It hurts! It hurts stop!" I yell kicking and squirming.

Instantly he backs away from me and as he backs away the fire slowly fades only slightly twinging my mark before it disappears.

My hand reflexively goes to my neck rubbing the pain away. "I don't understand," I whisper quietly seeing the darkened blood pour from the wound on my neck.

"It hurt?" Greyson asks quietly looking to the ground. He never bothered wiping the remaining blood from the corner of his lips.

I nod looking up to his pained, confused face. "Yeah, the pain spread across my whole body as if-as if I was on fire. Why?" I say harshly swallowing.

"I don't know," he says while slowly walking over to me. He grabs my face in his hands slowly running his thumbs across my skin. "But your going to be okay, alright? I'm going to fix this. I don't know how, but I will."

Nodding I grab onto his hands on my face as he leans in slowly capturing my lips in his giving me his reassurance.

Greyson goes to the linen closet retrieving some extra gauze.

Delicately he wraps my arm, placing large bandages on my face and neck since his bite seems to not be healing as well.

Once he's done he walk to the closet to put up the supplies.

I decide to stand as he closed the door. But once I do, a rush of dizziness makes me unsteady on my feet. But I try to I try to play it off. I don't want to stress him out more than he already is.

"Hey little one?" He says softly as we're about to leave the room. Grey not noticing my little slip up. My eyes look over to him as he walks over to me with a black hoodie in his hands. "Wear this so when Jared sees you he doesn't piece together that I tried to heal you."

I nod and bring my hand over to my mark that's covered in the rough material of the bandage.

I frown slipping on the hoodie as we go downstairs to start the plan.

To finally give Jared what he deserves.
