Chapter Three: Shots! Shots shots shots!

'No, absolutely not. No way.'

Hailey grinned. 'Oh shut up Blair.'

'Get away from me with that.'

'Seriously, shut up Blair.'

Blair looked at the piece of material Hailey was insisting she wear for the evening, or more like lack of material. 'It looks like something a hooker would wear.'

Hailey burst out laughing, 'I'd be a little offended if I didn't know any better. But for your information missy it was in Cosmo this month so it is very in.'

Blair found herself laughing along with Hailey. They had the music blaring, all the makeup spread across Hailey's bedroom floor and a few champagne cocktails courtesy of Hailey's mad bar skills. All in all she was looking forward to the big party tonight, and maybe she was being a little bit of a prude about the dress. She had decided tonight was going to be a big one after her hellish week. With all the drama on the first day of school, and then run ins throughout the week, Blair was ready to strangle Cade. To top it all off, he'd literally become the most popular guy at school and got onto the basketball team which was a huge deal. All the guys wanted to be his friend and all the girls wanted him. His name was everywhere.

'Come on B, put on the dress and ill finish your hair,' Hailey wheedled with her winning smile.

She let out a squeal of delight when Blair took the offending dress from her grip who still managed to roll her eyes at her friend. Blair struggled into the dress, pulling it over her head and shimmying it down her body. The material was so tight it took her a few minutes to get it down to the appropriate place, the subsequent gasp from Hailey told Blair all she needed to know. It was too short.

'If I had legs like yours I would never even wear pants,' Hailey declared looking depressed and knocking back her drink.

'That's crap,' Blair retorted frowning into the mirror. 'You're legs are way nicer then mine, yours are skinny mine are weirdly shaped.'

'That's called toned darling,' Hailey sighed. 'Believe me, you win.'

Blair was not used to having bare legs on show, and when Hailey finally finished her hair a different woman stood in that same spot in front of the mirror. Her black heels made her legs look longer and the dress even shorter, her dark hair cascaded down her back in loose curls, her face was lightly made up with smoky eyes to accentuate them.

'You look hot. I'd bang you.'

Blair giggled at her friend but definitely felt quite good when she looked into the mirror.

'Now that I've done my magic on you, give me five minutes for myself,' Hailey threw her friend a dramatic smile and let out a giggle. 'Finish the champagne would you B? I've already had way more then you.'

Blair poured the rest of the bottle into her glass already starting to feel the effects of the bubbles going straight to her head. They'd finished one bottle and had one more to bring to the party. She could tell tonight might be messy, which was ok every once in a while, she reasoned as she packed the bottle.

Twenty minutes later, and more then a little bit tipsy the two girls stumbled down the stairs and out the door, glad the party was only two streets away. As they got a little closer they could even hear the music blaring out over the neighbourhood. Blair was already regretting the heels before they'd even arrived but knew a few more sips of champagne might numb the pain.

The girls entered the throng of people, some old school Sean Paul blasting through the speakers making Blair involuntarily wiggle her hips as they made their way to the kitchen to find glasses.

'Do you remember when we used to try and rap in his voice?' Blair giggled to Hailey as they knocked back their drinks in the kitchen eyeing the party before them. They didn't recognise anyone as of yet, but it was meant to be a seniors party.

'You were so good at it,' Hailey laughed loudly as a group of guys entered the room.

'Well if it isn't my two favourite girls,' Brady shot them one of his killer smiles sidling up to the counter where they were leaning against.

'Brady!' Hailey squealed loudly. You know that drunken greeting you can really only get away with if you're trashed and so is the other person?

'Blair, is that you? Fuck you look hot,' he shook his head in wonder. 'You should wear that to school.'

'I know aren't I fabulous?' Hailey demanded. 'I had to practically hold her down to get her to wear it though.'

'That's something I would have liked to watch,' he grinned at them and the two girls rolled their eyes.

Same old Brady.

'We're off to dance you pervert,' Blair smirked at him affectionately. Yeah he was a little bit of a perv, but he was their perv and they loved him for it.

'Wait, before you go!' Brady announced loudly to the room and stumbled awkwardly to the counter top where a pile of shot glasses lay. 'You must do one shot with me!'

The girls nodded eagerly, because the one thing a drunk girl needs is more alcohol no matter what type it is.

They clinked their shot glasses together and toasted to their senior year. Blair winced as she knocked back the murky brown liquid, probably more so because she didn't taste a thing.

'Dance, now.'

Hailey pulled Blair's arm toward the music and bodies, and Blair tripped right over still trying to get used to the heels. The girls stood back up giggling away madly, and definitely not embarrassed because they'd already forgotten what had just happened. Moving into the crowd of dancers Blair and Hailey started moving along with them, letting the beat take over their bodies. Everyone around them was either drunk or on pills making for a very large and messy dance floor. Blair didn't even notice Hailey disappear into the crowd, she just closed her eyes, with her hands in the air dancing away by herself moving her hips to the beat.

After a few minutes she felt hands slide across her waist squeezing tightly and bringing her body back against theirs. The guy, she knew it was a guy because he was tall, firm and muscular against her back - the guy was dancing behind her syncing his moves to hers.

'You are so sexy,' he said into her ear causing shivers to run down her back.

Blair turned around slowly eager to see the man behind the sexy body and voice and was dead surprised to find Cade right in front of her. Their bodies crushed together, their heads touching and hands intertwined. She let go immediately, nearly falling over in her haste to step back.

'Blair? What the fuck?' He asked thickly, his eyes scanning up and down her body. 'Y-you look...'

At that moment Hailey resurfaced with her goofy smile pulling on Blair's hand to start dancing again. She shot Cade a dirty look and pulled her friend away. She hoped he wasn't hassling Blair again, she knew how much Blair disliked him and didn't want him to bring the mood down. But Hailey was relieved to realize Blair was too drunk to care about the annoying Cade, she just smiled right back and started dancing again with her best friend.

Blair couldn't seem to shake the shocked look on Cade's face when he realized who he was dancing with. Or the feeling of how he felt against her back, his lips on her neck and against her ear. She could see him across the room, leaning against the wall watching them dance. His face was unreadable and Blair had the sudden urge to march over to him and ask him just what the hell did he think he was doing trying to feel her up on the dance floor. She waited until Hailey was talking to some guy and made a direct beeline for the stony Cade.

'Just what the...' She didn't get to finish her sentence because as soon as she reached him his arms shot out around her waist pulling her tight against him and crashing his mouth onto hers.

Blair barely had time to register what her name was let alone the fact she was kissing Cade.

In the middle of a high school party.

Against a wall.

With his hand playing with the bottom of her dress, lifting it up ever so lightly.

She did the only thing that was right. That felt right. She moaned into his mouth and kissed him right back. He maneuvered her so she was against the wall, his gorgeous soft lips leaving her mouth for just a second to make their way down her neck. Her insides were doing summersaults, and her whole body felt like it was on fire everywhere he touched.

A vague noise in her head reminded her this was Cade she was making out with in front of everybody. Cade who was an incredible asshole to her for the last week, who went out of his way to annoy her at any point in time.

She pulled back from him breathing heavily, her dress disheveled and her hair mussed on top of her head where he had been playing with it.

He smirked at her, 'You look good tonight.'

She blinked up at him not really sure what to say. Blair tried to think of the right etiquette for a situation where you kissed your best friends cousin who you also hate... She came up blank, but all the alcohol swirling around in her body probably wasn't helping.

'You can't just feel me up on the dance floor!' She eventually went with her original plan of telling him off.

Cade raised an eyebrow questioningly, his hand playing lightly on her arm causing her to be hyper aware of his touch. 'You weren't complaining two seconds ago when you were moaning my name.'

Blair frowned at him and knocked his hand away, 'You're an asshole!' Well she conceded inwardly he was maybe a little bit right, but she was drunk and embarrassed and needed to get the hell away from him.

She wasn't this type of girl. The type of girl who dressed up in a little black dress, piled on the makeup and made out with random boys in the corner. No she was the type of girl who only ever kissed one person before, and that was a guy she'd been in a relationship with for two months before she even let it go that far. He'd thought it was fun at first, trying to get her to loosen up a bit. But he'd backed off pretty quickly when he realized she wasn't sleeping with him anytime soon.

The thing is Blair never wanted to sleep with Noah (the ex-boyfriend) at all. He was fun to hang out with, but when they kissed she didn't feel anything crazy. She guessed she needed more time to like him, but he wasn't too keen on that idea and dumped her for Lacy. Another reason why Blair and Lacy never really got along.

But standing there crushed against Cade did things to Blair. She felt this heat inside her and probably would have gone straight into a bedroom with him that instant and done the deed if he hadn't paused and let rational thoughts entered her mind.

That pretty much scared the crap out of her.

She didn't even bother with a goodbye and escaped under his arm into the throng of dancers to find Hailey and get the hell out of there. She located Hailey sitting on top of one of the basketball team members kissing his face off.

'Hails, can we please go?' She asked tapping her friends shoulder.

Hailey drew herself away from the boy who Blair then recognised to be Jacob Wilson, one of the nicer jocks at their school who had been plaguing Hailey for a date practically all of last year.

'What's up B?'

'I want to go home,' Blair said trying to do her best friend telepathic messaging to tell Hailey it was urgent.

Of course that wasn't actually real and Hailey shot her friend a huge grin, 'Do you mind if we stay a little bit longer?'

'Or all night?' Jacob butted in kissing her cheek and neck slowly.

Blair knew she was losing Hailey for the night and sighed.

'You, Miss Blair don't have a drink in your hand. I am so very disappointed in you,' Brady announced loudly grabbing Blair's hand and tugging her back to the kitchen. He poured out some more of those lethal shots. 'To our senior year!'

Blair found herself giggling at his over the top dramatics, 'We already toasted that.' But she knocked it back with him.

He poured out two more, 'To your sexy makeover!'

Blair shrugged again and threw back the shot, feeling the effects immediately when her vision swayed a little. She laughed and found herself dancing away in the kitchen to the music blaring in from the living room.

Brady poured out two more shots and shushed Blair when she tried to tell him she'd had enough.

'To that gorgeous guy you were kissing tonight!' He winked at a bright red Blair and knocked back his shot.

Blair threw hers back quickly hoping Brady didn't actually see who she was kissing.

'Yes that's right, you little minx.' He grinned, 'I saw you practically dry humping in the living room.'

Blair groaned, 'Shut up Brady! You can't tell anyone!'

'Why? Who was it?' Brady asked definitely intrigued by her reaction.

'No one important,' she responded as firmly as a severely drunk girl could.

'I'll be the judge of that.'

'No, you won't.'

Brady eyed her carefully and smiled knowingly, 'Okay little B.'

The rest of the night was an intense blur. Her and Brady took to the dance floor again still buzzing off their three shots. Blair also met up with a few girls from school, and she looked around for Hailey but couldn't find her so she enjoyed herself with the girls.

'You keep scanning the room, who are you looking for?' Brady shouted out over the music.

Blair knew her face was bright red with embarrassment. All she knew in her drunken state was she wanted to feel good again and Cade's mouth on hers was her only option. 'Looking for Hails,' she replied quickly, stoked with her quick thinking.

'I saw her leave a while ago,' one of the girls interrupted them smiling at Blair apologetically. 'Sorry! She told me to tell you.'

Blair was surprised, she must have gone off with Jacob, which was extremely out of character for her. With the notion that there was no Hailey anymore to catch her kissing her cousin, Blair left the group dancing and started a lap around the house. She knew it was wrong but the buzz in her head made her only want one thing, and she was going to find him. She looped through the living room, into the kitchen, around the back and eventually landed out the front sighing disappointed. He must have gone home.

'Looking for someone?'

Blair spun around to find Cade standing to the side of the house, his phone in his palm with a little smile that Blair wanted to wipe of his smug face. He was implying she was looking for him. What an ass, Blair thought rapidly trying to come up with something.

'Yeah for Hailey.' Good old Hailey.

'She left a while ago with some guy,' Cade said looking at her just a bit too smugly.

'I know,' Blair retorted without thinking and rolling her eyes at him.

Then she froze as a wide grin broke across his features. Oops, wasn't supposed to tell him that I knew where Hailey was. Hailey was her excuse. Shit!

'So why were you looking for her then?' His smile never faltered as he took a few steps closer to the clearly embarrassed Blair.

'Oh fuck it,' Blair said out loud and took the last few steps to him reaching up on her toes to kiss him.

Cade chuckled and held her steady as she nearly stumbled backwards in her heels. He lowered his head to hers kissing her mouth softly and pulling away. Blair groaned in frustration.

'Stop that and kiss me you ass,' she complained. If sober Blair were around she would be quite horrified at the bluntness.

He laughed again, 'You're aggressive when you drink.'

She opened her mouth to tell him where to go when he swooped down and kissed her properly. His mouth was hot and tasted surprisingly like vanilla, his tongue teasing hers lightly causing Blair to literally moan out loud. She wanted... no needed more from him. She'd never felt like this before.

'Come on,' he said gruffly pulling away. 'Let's go home.'

Yes! What a great idea, Blair thought excitedly as she half stumbled and was half carried by Cade down the street. They eventually made it back to Hailey's house, and Blair was pretty sure she only fell twice. Which was good.

Without even speaking they both headed for the stairs, Blair had discarded her heels at the front door and was now walking with more of a bounce in her step, loving the relief and vowing never to wear heels again. She reached the landing and automatically headed for Hailey's room, she'd almost reached the door when she felt a grip on her wrist.

'Oh no you don't,' Cade smiled at her as he spun her around to face him. 'You're coming with me.' The last thing she remembered was eyeing Hailey's door as she was pulled into the guest room and into the arms of one happy looking guy.
