《help wanted - Harry Styles au》Chapter 21

Ever since the first night Harry and I slept in the same bed, he refused to have it any other way. But despite his pleads, I refused to sleep in his room. It just didn't feel right for me to sleep in the same bed he shared with Danielle, I just feel like we weren't there yet, like it was disrespectful to Danielle.

So Harry's been sleeping with me in my room. His arm was snaked around my waist, holding me close to his chest.

"Good morning, love." Harry's deep voice filled my room and I smiled as I turned to face him, he instantly brought me closer to his body and shoved his face into my neck taking a deep breathe.

"Good morning, Harold." I chuckled, he started placing small tiny kisses on my neck making me giggle. "Stop it, you're going to make me pee." I squealed as his fingers started to tickle my sides. To no avail, Harry continued to tickle me, pushing me onto my back and straddling my waist torturing me.

"Okay! Please!!" I laughed out loud, Harry too was laughing with a wide grin on his face.

"I'll stop if you give me a kiss." Harry smirked, my eyes widened and I shook my head no vigorously.

"Morning breathe! NO!" I laughed trying to get out of his grip. His hold on me only tightened and his mouth kept getting closer and closer to mine. "Harry stop it!!" I shouted. "We both having morning breathe!" I repeated again, shaking my head from side to side to dodge him.

"Ask me if I care." Harry stuck his tongue out, letting go of my thrashing arms only to grab a hold of my face. "Just one small kiss and I'll let you go." Harry pouted. I rolled my eyes at him but finally gave in and pursed my lips together for a peck.

He pecked my lips and released his hold on me.

"Come on, time to get up." I sat up with a huff. "You gotta leave for work soon." I stretched my arms out with a yawn.

"Not today, remember? We're going to scout out some daycares and preschools for Penelope." Harry also stretched his arms, getting out of bed and helping me make the bed.

"What? We're actually doing that? What's the point of hiring me if we're just going to send her off to preschool." I pouted.

"She's already 4, Anastasia." Harry raised an eyebrow at me. "I don't want her to fall behind. Besides, Danny is a handful by himself, you'll still be very busy with him." Harry shrugged walking over to me.

"I'm going to go brush my teeth and shower, go get ready before the kids wake up." He kissed my forehead and left the room, shutting the door behind him.

It was kind of sad to think that Penelope was going to start preschool soon, it made me think of my job here in the Style's residence. The truth is, Harry and I really needed to talk about us and my role in this house.

Everything's is still new and fresh, what would happen in the long run when Danny also goes to school, would I still live here? Would I move out? Would we even be together?

I hastily got ready for the day, the kids were going to wake up soon so I didn't want to take forever in getting ready. I threw on some clothes and threw my hair up in a pony tail before heading to Pen's room.

"Good morning baby girl, it's time to get ready for the day." I opened the door and Penelope was already awake, digging through her drawers. "You picking out an outfit?" I smiled at her.

"Yes, I want to wear this!!" She pulled out a bright pink dress, the dress Harry bought when we went shopping a while back.

"Okay, let's go brush our teeth." I smiled at her and we darted to the bathroom. I woke up Danny and changed his diaper as Pen brushed her teeth, I brought Danny to the bathroom and brushed his teeth as well.

"Alright let's get the both of you changed." Pen scurried to her room and I changed Danny before helping Pen into her very bright and fun dress. Once the kids were dressed they sat in the living room playing with their toys.

I played some kids music through the bluetooth speaker as always while I got breakfast ready. We had to leave soon so today's breakfast was nothing fancy. Just some cereal, toast and fruits, I'm sure we'll stop for lunch somewhere later anyways.

"Daddy!!" Penelope screamed as Harry walked into the living room. "Do you like my dress?" She asked him, twirling around in her spot so the skirt of her dress would flare.

"Good morning my babies." Harry kneeled onto the floor giving both of the kids kisses, the usual morning routine. "I love it! My little princess." He scrunched his nose, grabbing Pen and kissing her all over her face.

"Let's go eat some food, we've got a long day ahead of us." The three of them made their way to the kitchen table, Harry buckled Danny into his seat.

"Dig in." I set the cut up fruit on the table, serving Danny his bite sized foods. "So how many places are we looking at today?" I asked Harry, popping a strawberry into my mouth.

"We are going to look at 4 today, and 1 tomorrow." He sipped his coffee and my eyes widened. It sure was going to be a long day, I could already hear the kids complaining about being in the car for the majority of the day. I could already hear myself complain about being in the car all day.

"Good morning! Welcome to Kids Green Acre!" A lady greeted us as we walked into the door.

"Hi, good morning. I'm Harry, I believe we spoke on the phone?" He greeted her.

"Ah yes! You're here for the tour! We're waiting for two more families and then we can start, there's chairs for you to sit in while we wait." She gestured us to a small seating area.

I held Danny in my arms as Harry continued to talk to the lady, I walked over near the seating area observing the bulletin boards they had on display. The place was nice, very prestigious looking but I didn't expect anything less from Harry.

"It's nice, yeah?" Harry asked me. I turned to him and shrugged.

"We'll see how the rest of the building looks." I said taking a seat.

The rest of the tour went smoothly, the preschool was nice, clean, the staff was polite. But there was nothing majorly amazing about it. But it is only he first place we visited so I still had high hopes for the rest of the visits.

It was hard to find a perfect preschool for Penelope, Harry had high standards and wants nothing but the best for his children. That being said, finding a perfect place for Penelope seemed impossible.

After the second visit we stopped for some food before heading to the third school for today. I could tell Danny was getting angsty not being able to move around and play much. It was about time for his nap so I pulled out his stroller from the trunk of the car when we got to the third place.

"I have a good feeling about this one, the Director is an old friend of mine." Harry smiled as he got out of the car. Him and Penelope started to talk about her going to preschool soon.

As I was buckling him in my phone started to ring.

"Hey love, you guys go ahead.. Tina's calling me." I said to Harry who was waiting by the car with Penelope. He responded with an okay before grabbing ahold of Penelope's hand and waking to the building.

"Hey Tina, what's up?" I answered the phone, wedging it between my ear and shoulder as Danny fought me buckling him in.

"Hey Ana!! Just wanted to call and see how you were and if you're busy this weekend?" Tina's cheery voice filled my ear.

"Uhh I'm great! We're looking at schools for Penelope right now, I'm not sure about my schedule for this weekend. What's up?" I asked, slightly out of breathe finally buckling Danny in.

"We're throwing a small party at the apartment! You should totally come, I miss you tons." She said sadly.

"What's the occasion?" I asked, throwing the diaper bag under the stroller and opening the cover so Danny wouldn't be too distracted and hopefully would take a nap.

"Nothing special, just a get together with our friends. You in or not?" She asked.

"I'll have to get back to you. I'll let you know by the end of the day." I said making my way to the building. "Okay I gotta go, Tina. But I'll talk to you tonight alright?" I said through the phone as I walked into the building. She said goodbye and I hung up the phone, sticking it in my back pocket.

I looked around till I saw Harry talking to a blonde lady near the front desk. I made my way over to them with a smile, a smile that quickly turned into a frown as I saw the blondes fingers running up and down Harry's arm, a little too friendly.

I slowed down my pace as I walked to them, shaking off my frown and finally approached them.

"Hi! You must be the nanny, Anastasia." She smiled at me. I nodded my head at her and shook her hand. The way she said the nanny made my stomach turn. "I'm Julia." She kneeled down and looked at Danny.

"Oh my goodness he's gotten so big since I last saw him. I'm so glad Harry finally agreed to get some help with the kids." She laughed. "You know how he is, all manly and prideful." She pointed at Harry and continued to laugh and slap Harry's arm playfully.

I kept a tight lipped smile on my face but my grip on the stroller got tighter and tighter the more I observed her actions with Harry. I was uncomfortable.

"Yeah, Anastasia is a big help. I'm very grateful for her." Harry smiled at me widely which I gladly returned.

"That's great to hear!" Julia smiled brightly. "Now that you have help with the kids, maybe I could finally take you up on that offer for drinks sometime?" She poked his arm.

My stomach churned once again and I tried my best to not let my face alter too much. I hate her already.

"Uhh, shall we get on with the tour?" Harry cleared his throat. Is all that really all that Harry had say to her comment?

"Yes of course! I'm sure you'll love the facility. Follow me." She grabbed a folder and a brochure, handing it to Harry who skimmed over it.

"Oh, can we get one more for Anastasia?" He called to Julia who was already walking ahead, she quickly turned around and handed me one, but not before giving me the side eye. I sighed and opened the brochure up.

"So through this door is the infants and toddlers, ages 5 months to 3 years, on the other side of the building we have ages 4 to 6 years old." Julia gestured to the different doors. "Since little miss Penelope is 4 she will be on that side of the building, but you're going to get the special tour for the entire facility." Harry and Penelope followed closely behind Julia and I walked a little behind them with the stroller.

I glanced down and saw that Danny was fast asleep, I smiled thankful that his schedule didn't get thrown off too much today. I placed a blanket over the sun shade so he wouldn't get hit with any of the lights.

Julia kept spitting facts about the preschool and talking about after school activities and the programs that the school provides. I didn't pay too much attention, since it was Harry's choice at the end of the day. My eyes scanned the brightly painted walls and their decorated bulletin boards.

All of the classrooms had large windows that allowed parents or administration to look inside and observe the classrooms. The kids smiled and waved as we walked past the classrooms, to which I returned.

"This is the nursery area, ages 5 months to roughly 1 year old." We entered a large room with multiple different sections. "Seeing as your kids are already older, this place won't be of much use for you." She laughed.

"Who knows, maybe I'll have another kid." Harry shrugged casually, sending me a small wink out of the corner of his eye. A wink so small, I was the only one to notice. I choked on my own saliva and coughed slightly, shocked by his words.

"Oh Harry, such a tease." Julia laughed, completely oblivious to the fact that he directed that comment towards me.

"Anyways, let's move on." Julia's heels clicked as she walked down the hallway, I took this time to observe her. She was beautiful without a doubt, her hair was long and gorgeous, she was slim and had a perky butt. Her dress did a very good job at hugging her body in all the right places, I honestly think it's not appropriate for preschool attire, but she was confident and she knew she looked good.

Her hips swayed as she walked and I glanced at Harry who didn't pay any mind to her, his eyes still looking through the brochure as he walked. This gave me a little peace of mind, knowing he wasn't actively staring at her body. Try as you might, Julia, but he's mine.

"Alright, here is the cafeteria. Food is part of your child's tuition if you would like, but you can always opt out of it and have your child bring their food with them." She said as we walked into the cafeteria. "The younger kids will eat in their classrooms. Ages 5 and 6 eat in the cafeteria." There were kids in the cafeteria right now, a teacher at every table.

"Do you have any questions so far?" She asked Harry who shook his head, he looked at me and raised an eyebrow.

"Ana?" He asked. I shook my head as well, it was all pretty straight forward. But I smiled knowing that Harry kept asking for my opinion, even though Julia has barely even acknowledged my presence.

"Alright, let's head over to the other side of the building where Penelope would be. Right now we have 3 classrooms for her age group, the older they get the more students they have in each class." Julia explained. "We do have a school schedule, I can have it printed out for you so you can compare it to the schedule you have her on right now."

Harry walked beside me, his shoulders bumped against mine every so often as we walked.

"What do you think?" He whispered in my ear.

"Seems nice.. not too sure about their staff though." I mumbled the last part.

"Hmm?" Harry asked, not hearing what I said. I just shook my head and gave him a small smile.

"Here we are. Feel free to look around and observe." Julia waved at the kids as we walked into the classroom.

After seeing the rest of the building we made our way back to the front of the building at the receptionists desk.

"So what do you think, Penelope?" Julia smiled down at Pen. Pen cheered happily and clapped her hands together.

"And you, Mr.Styles?" Julia raised an eyebrow at Harry, making me internally barf in my head.

"It seems great." Harry nodded with a smile. "We have a few more preschools to tour, but I'll give you a call by the end of the week." Harry nodded at her.

"Sounds good, don't forget your tuition will be discounted just for you." She pointed her finger at him, pushing it to his chest. If she keeps touching him with her finger, she's going to lose it. "It was great seeing you again, hopefully I'll see you soon?" She opened her arms out and Harry gave her a hug. A hug too long for my liking, I shot daggers into her back as she rubbed Harry's back with her hands.

"Talk to you soon, have a good one." Harry let go of her and Penelope ran to my side, grabbing a hold of my hand tugging me down to her.

"You look mad at Ms.Julia." Penelope giggled into my ear.

"Shhhh, I'm not." I whispered back to her in time as Harry walked to us.

"Ready to go?" He asked, I nodded my head. Oh boy am I. I pushed the stroller out the door, a smile formed on my lips as he placed his hand on my lower back and I was praying that Julia was looking at us at this moment. Please be looking at us.

"So what do you think about this place?" Harry asked once we were finally buckled into the car.

Although I wanted to say absolutely not, she will not be going to this school. The truth is, this is the best one we've seen out of the three we've seen so far. Despite my displeasure with how Julia was basically undressing Harry with her eyes, the school itself was pretty good.

"The school is nice, everything seems nice and clean.. Penelope seemed to like it." I shrugged.

"You don't seem very fond of it." Harry raised an eyebrow at me.

"What? No, it's nice. Besides, it's your choice. You know what's best for Pen."

"But your opinion matters to me." He reached over and held my hand.

"Do you like it?" I asked him. Please say no. Please say no.

"Yeah, I think it's really nice. Plus, for the price Julia is giving us, it's almost impossible to say no." Harry chuckled.

"How do you know Julia?" I asked, Harry seemed to stiffen at my sudden question but he laughed it off and shrugged.

"She's an old friend, we go way back." He answered simply, very vaguely.

"Okay?" I asked, pushing him to continue. I wasn't content with that answer.

"She was the one that introduced me to Danielle." He said, I nodded my head. So just friends, right?

"So you think this is the one?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

"Yeah, I think we found the one. I don't even think we should bother checking out the other schools to be honest. Besides the kids are tired and frankly so am I." Harry said sighing. "How about we go home and we all have a nap?" Harry asked.

"Sounds like a plan." I said quietly.

Take a nap is what we did. Well, what they did. I couldn't sleep as my brain wandered and thought about the history between Harry and Julia. I kept thinking of what would happen now that they would be seeing each other more often, every day at drop off to be exact. I wouldn't be overthinking this right now if he didn't look so uncomfortable when I asked how they knew each other. I couldn't help but feel like he was hiding a bit of the truth.

My stomach dropped at the thought of Julia throwing herself at Harry, my Harry. I sighed and turned over, Harry was fast asleep next to me, his mouth slightly open. I scooted closer to him and placed my hand on his cheek, stroking it slightly.

"Please don't leave me." I whispered, placing a kiss on his forehead.
