McQueen and Sally drove back to Radiator Springs.
"Thanks for the drive. I had a great time." He said to her.
"You're welcome." She smiled and walked away.
Mater and Chloe then came running towards McQueen. They were laughing and having fun.
"There's an invasion!" Chloe laughed as she ran.
"Invasion of what?" McQueen asked.
"COWS!" Mater and Chloe yelled rubbing passed him.
And then, a herd of cows came running into Radiator Springs. McQueen jumped to the side so he wouldn't be trampled. Ramone was spray painting the road with yellow lines. He saw the cows running towards him.
"Oh no the paint's still wet!!" He yelled.
Red the fireman hopped in his fire truck and honked the horn making the cows fall over. Some of them were running around. Sheriff was chasing one and Luigi was trying to get one out of his tire shop.
"Hey guys! There's one going this way!" McQueen said watching the cow run to the dirt track, "I got it!"
McQueen ran after the cow. He slowly crept closer to the cow until he saw Doc on the dirt track.
"What are you doing with that race car?" He quietly asked as he hid behind a cactus.
Doc looked at the dirt track and took a deep breath. He started the engine and started racing. He went super fast. McQueen was surprised. He was coming up on a curve and McQueen was nervous on how it would end.
Doc then started to slow down. He turned slightly and made it around the curve. He then stopped.
"Whoa....you were amazing!" McQueen said walking up to him.
Doc then drove away.
"Doc wait!" McQueen said running after him.
Doc parked his race car in the garage and McQueen barged in.

"Doc you're driving was incredible!"
"Wonderful! Now go away!" He replied.
"No seriously you're driving in amazing!"
"I'm asking ya to leave."
"Come on I'm a racer and you're......a much older racer but under the hood you and I are the same."
"We are not the same now get out!"
"Why did you quit at the top of your game?"
Doc then glared at him, "you think I quit?"
He flipped a light switch and McQueen saw a news article.
"Right....you're big wreck in '54." McQueen whispered.
"They quit on me. After I healed I came back expecting a big welcome and ya know what they said? You're history. And moved on to the next one. I left so I wouldn't be apart of that world. I just never expected that the world would find me here." He explained.
"Look Doc I'm not them." McQueen said.
"Oh really?"
"I'm not." He replied.
"When was the last time you thought of someone except yourself hot rod?"
"I adopted Chloe. I wanted to have a kid with me while I have this career." McQueen answered.
"You May have done that. But these folks have been there for her ever since you wrecked this town. These folks are good people. I came here because they needed me."
McQueen had a sour look on his face, "you've been how long and they don't even know who you are?"
"Just finish the road and get out of here." He said and walked away.
Everyone woke up and walked outside to see that the rest of the road had been finished. But McQueen was nowhere to be found. Chloe started to worry.
"He's gone?" Flo asked.

"He musta' finished it while we was all sleeping." Mater said.
"Well he didn't want to miss that race of his." Sheriff said.
Sally then walked away with a sad expression on her face.
"Ma non avrebbe dimenticato Chloe. Lui la ama, vero?" Guido asked as he hugged her. (But he would not forget Chloe. He loves her, doesn't he?)
Red then started to cry and he ran away.
"What's wrong with Red?" Asked McQueen as he walked up to them.
"Oh he's just sad cuz you left town to go that race and win the piton cup and get that fancy helicopter ride you was talkin' about." Mater answered as he looked directly at him, "wait a minute!"
Everyone started laughing. Mater punched McQueen's arm.
"I knew you won't leaving without sayin' goodbye!" He laughed.
Chloe ran to McQueen and hugged him.
"What are you doing here son you're gonna miss your race? Don't worry. I'll call an escort and get you there." Sheriff said walking to his car.
"Oh thank you Sheriff but we can't leave just yet." McQueen replied.
"Why not?" He asked.
"I'm not sure if my....tires." He smirked, "will make it to California."
"Pit stop?" Guido asked.
"Yeah does anyone know what time Luigi's opens?"

Obligate of a Self-Ordained Sorcerer
Come join the Discord! It was a typical late-night friday for Mara, secluded in her apartment in front of a digital expanse, relentlessly mashing code into a keyboard. An introverted workaholic, but this was what she wanted - what she had strived so hard to achieve. So why did she feel so lost? Her life was productive, comfortable, satisfying. Plenty had it worse but she still felt... ungrateful? Stunted? The right word escaped her, but she could feel the general revelation settling upon her. With it came a choice that would set events in motion far beyond the meager scope of a 'New Game+'. So taking an intrusive portal to god-knows-where, Mara will come to find that her new world offers boons and banes with equal abandon. Magic, skills, and unforgiving difficulty. For a frail human shut-in, finding herself stranded in the middle of a sprawling dungeon was one of the least desirable outcomes. Food and water would be the least of her problems, why oh why couldn't she just get summoned by some pervy king to slay a demon army or something? This is a story of magic and adventure with skills and stats galore. A litrpg / isekai epic that I've been inspired to make after years of wonderful works like "So I'm a Spider," "Rimuru the Slime," "Azarinth Healer," "Negima!?," and plethora of other isekai and fantasy novels and animes. Special shout-out to Douglas Adams, a big influence on narative humor that's had a non-insignificant effect on my writing style. I hope you enjoy joining Mara on her journey as I attempt to scratch the itch they left behind.Chapters target 3-6k~ words. Though I'm personally aiming for a chapter every couple weeks, I think I can at least promise one a month with how busy work's been. I made a Patreon due to requests, if you'd like to support me there I'll be using it to fund artwork and RR ads for increased exposure.
