It's incredible how much can change in a short amount of time, how one decision can have such a large impact on your life. Within a few months, you had gotten your dream job and lost it again. Just mere weeks ago you had been looking forward to graduation, to be free from the university, and finally, be able to do what you love. When you got the internship at BigHit your dream job had been so close you were almost able to touch it. Now that you lost it, you dreaded the day of graduation. There wasn't anything to look forward to who was going to hire a student who couldn't even complete an internship?
You sighed and closed your laptop, there were just a few days left before you had to turn in the assignment. All the hard work that you had put into had been paying off, the assignment was almost finished and you were proud of your work. Maybe if you were able to get a good grade on this a company might hire you after you graduate. It was your last chance.
The whole morning you had been working on the assignment without any breaks and the letter had started to dance on your screen. Usually, Yoongi would be around forcing you to take small coffee breaks but he wasn't here today. He had gone back to his dorm with the other members After his talk with the CEO last week a lot has changed. Even though nothing was definitive yet, it did seem like not only Yoongi but all the members of BTS were getting renewed contracts. It had just taken the CEO a few hours to call Yoongi back, when Yoongi hung up the phone he had a huge smirk on his face. He had been right the CEO was desperate, Yoongi hadn't given you all the details yet of what was going to be included in the new contracts but he insured you that he would make sure you would be included.
A loud ringing interrupted your thoughts you grabbed your phone from your pocket and furrowed your eyebrows when you saw the name on the screen. You had expected it to be Yoongi but it was someone you hadn't expect to get a call from.
''Good afternoon y/n,'' the head editor said in a friendly voice.
''Oh, Hello?'' You answered confused, why was she calling me?
''Am I calling at an inconvenient time?'' the head editor asked, ''I can call another time.''
''No, it's fine,'' You replied, ''I'm just surprised I hadn't expected a call from you.''
''I understand, with everything that happened I wouldn't have expected a call from me either,'' the head editor sighed before continuing, '' you deserve an apology from me, I heard what happened and I'm sorry y/n, you didn't deserve to be fired.'
''What?'' You asked confused, where was she going with this? ''I'm sorry, I am just really surprised by all of this.''
''I understand,'' she repeated, ''Do you think you can find the time to come by my office later today? I will be here until 5 pm.''
''Yeah, that should be possible,'' You replied, curious what this all was about. ''May I ask what this is all about?''
''I have an offer for you,'' the head editor responded, ''but I would like to discuss this further when you are here. When would be a convenient time for you?''

An offer? What kind of offer was she talking about?
''uh, well I could be there in half an hour,'' You replied, might as well get it over with immediately otherwise you wouldn't be able to concentrate.
''That would be perfect,'' she replied, 'I will see you in half an hour then.''
You hung up the phone and quickly packed your bag and headed out the door to the subway. What kind of offer was she talking about? Even though you didn't want to get your hopes up you couldn't shake the thought that maybe just maybe she would offer you your job back. She had apologized and said that you should never have been fired. But did you want your job back after the way they just had gotten rid of you and Yoongi? It could just be about some files you had been working on before but she could just have discussed that over the phone, couldn't she? The whole way there your thought just kept wondering about what the offer could be about. When you finally arrived at Bighit the guards let you through and you made your way over to her office. It was strange to be back there after a few weeks, it was all so familiar to you but the memories felt so far away even though it had been just a few weeks. When you reached her office you took one more deep breath before softly knocking on it.
''Come in!'' the head editor called out from the other side of the door.
When she saw that it was you she smiled friendly at you and ushered you to sit down in the chair in front of her desk.
''I'm really glad you agreed to meet with me,'' she said still smiling at you. ''Again I would like to apologize to you, you told us nothing but the truth but we didn't believe you. You have to understand that we've had some incidents before and we can't take any risks.''
You nodded your head even though you understood her actions it didn't change the fact what had happened.
''When I found that what you told us was the truth I went to talk to the CEO,'' she continued, ''since you had done nothing wrong it seemed logical you would get your job back. Especially since you have a lot of potential y/n. To my surprise the CEO didn't agree with me, he didn't allow me to rehire you. He wasn't pleased to have you working at the company along with Yoongi since he had been planning on getting him back into the company.''
She paused for a moment waiting for your reaction, you just looked at her dumbfounded not only had she told you she had wanted you back in the company but also that CEO had been planning to give Yoongi his job back all along. No wonder that he seemed to desperate when Yoongi had talked to him.
The head editor continued again when you didn't say anything, ''I tried arguing that it would only benefit him because if you are part of the staff and would be seen with Yoongi there would be a logical explanation and no immediate scandal, but he wouldn't budge. That was until Yoongi talked to him last week.''
She paused for a moment and leaned forward on the table station staring into your eyes. You didn't know what to say where was she getting with this? Was she going to offer you the job back? You couldn't comprehend the situation, everything had gone so quickly. Just this morning you had dreading graduation thinking there was nothing left to do after it, what if your thoughts on the subway were right? She had called you into her office to offer you the job back?

''Y/n?'' the head editor asked when you didn't respond to anything she had just told you.
''Yes,'' You responded, still confused about everything she had just told you.
''I have an offer for you, two actually, '' she said and smiled at you, and opened a drawer in her desk and grabbed two documents from it and placed the first one in front of you, ''This is a contract as a junior editor if you would like that position it's yours.''
You stared at her in disbelief your mouth hanging open had I just heard those words right, junior editor?
''This,'' the head editor placed another document on the table and slid it in front of you, ''Is a job offer as a technical assistant. It's not the fanciest of jobs but it would allow you to go on tour with BTS and thus Yoongi. The technical staff could use an extra pair of hands and I know for a fact from your cv, media is also part of your study and I know you would be great use to them.''
''What?'' you asked still confused, how was this even happening? This couldn't be true right? Were you dreaming? You pinched your elbow and felt a soft jolt of pain shooting up your arm, so not a dream. Then were these contracts real? You picked up the contracts and slowly read through them, the start date of the assistant job was right after you graduated. A few days after the actual tour started she had done her research and had even adjusted the contracts to fit your situation. The contract seemed legit. You picked up the other contract with shaking hands there it was in the bold letter your name right next to the position of junior editor. This was it your dream job. You also read trough the contract while the head editor patiently watched you go through the papers. On the second page, you noticed something.
''Why is there no start date on the junior editor contract?'' you looked up from the paper at the head editor.
''That's part of the second offer for the position of technical assistant,'' the head editor smiled brightly at you and winked, ''I know how hard it can be to be away from your soulmate for a longer period, and that's why if you sign the contract for the job assistant the position for junior editor will be here in my office waiting for you when you come back.''
You looked at her suspicious, what had she meant with that she knew how hard it can be to be away from your soulmate? Did she have a soulmate? This was all just to good to be true there had to be a catch. You read through all the contracts again but they were flawless, they even contained a confidential disclosure agreement about your relationship with Yoongi. Where it stated that your relationship with Yoongi wouldn't affect your contract and visa versa but also that both parties would keep the relationship confidential to protect both parties. These contracts were legit, when you started realizing what you had in your hands you started grinning ear to ear.
''Thank you so much,'' you looked back to the head editor, who was already smiling at you.
''My pleasure,'' the head editor replied and handed you a pen, ''you deserve this, y/n. I saw how hard you worked it would be an honor to have you back in our team.''
You looked at the contracts in front of you, one would immediately grant you your dream job but the other would grant you with your soulmate, the man of your dreams. For a moment you wondered if you should discuss this first with Yoongi but something told you he already knew. the head editor herself had said that only after Yoongi talked to the CEO he allowed her job back, he must have said something. It wasn't a difficult decision to make, by signing the technical assistant job you would have both, your editor's job and your man. You grabbed the paper for the technical assistant job and signed the paper, but before the head editor had a chance to do anything you also signed the contract for the junior editor job. There only wasn't a date on it yet but with your signature on it would be definite. When you looked back up you thought the head editor would be frowning at you but she wasn't.
''Great decision,'' she said smiling and grabbed the papers from you, ''I'll send you both signed version so you also have a copy.''
''Thank you,'' you replied and started grabbing your bag to get ready to leave.
The head editor carefully put the papers together and put them at the edge of her desk.
''The head of the technical staff will send you an email with all the details,'' she smiled at you, ''and I will see you back in a few months, don't work too hard and have a little bit of fun on the tour too.''
You got up from your chair ready to leave but there was still something you were curious about.
''Can I ask you one last thing?'' you carefully asked thinking back to what she had said about knowing about soulmates not being able to be apart.
''Sure,'' she replied, ''anything.''
''What did you mean when you said you knew how difficult it is for soulmates to be apart,'' nervously you bit your lip thinking that maybe it was an inappropriate question to ask you boss but your curiosity had gotten the better of you, ''Do you have a soulmate?''
''No, I wish,'' she looked down and sighed softly, ''But my sister does.''
''Ah,'' you nodded understanding but didn't press the issue. It was clear that it was a sensitive topic and you didn't want to invade her privacy by asking more inappropriate questions. ''Again thank you for this opportunity, I won't let you down.''
''I know you won't,'' she winked at you.
You smiled at her one last time before leaving her office, still not believing what had happened.
