《Soulmates Yoongi x Reader》{77 Eunmi

After Namjoon and the manager left the room everyone was quiet and stared at each other, no one really knew what to do or say. It's your phone that breaks the silence vibrating loudly on the table. You glance at the screen and see it's Eunmi, immediately guilt rushes through you again. She had been calling you nonstop since you ran out BigHit but you hadn't answered any of her calls. Honestly, you hadn't even noticed them because you had been busy with everything that had been going on. It was barely 7 am and she was already calling, she must be really worried.
''I have to take this,'' You said and picked up your phone and ran down the hallway to Yoongi's room, ''Eunmi, I'm......''
''Y/N!'' Eunmi yelled interrupting you, ''Thank god, I was so worried! What the hell happened? You ran out and the CEO said you were a Saseang which I call bullshit, by the way. They said you thought he was your soulmate and had to fire you and then I can't reach you for the next 12 hours! What the hell y/n!''
''Eunmi..'' You said apologetic, ''I'm so sorry, I should have called, I-''
You stopped mid-sentence not sure where to start, everything had gotten so complicated so fast.
''Is he your soulmate?'' Eunmi asked in a softer voice this time, but something in her voice told me she wasn't asking she already knew, ''Why didn't you tell me?''
''Eunmi, I- I-,'' You struggled to get the sentence out, even though she had been a good friend and co-worker how much did you know about her? After the interrogation of the guys yesterday you just couldn't shake the thought that she might have already known. You couldn't completely remember the night of the office party, you could have said anything to her when you were drunk. Still, it was hard to imagine she would do anything like this even if she knew. You needed to talk to her before just jumping to conclusions. ''Eunmi, Can we talk?''
''Yes of course,'' Eunmi replied in a much calmer voice, ''Always.''
''Are you at home?'' You asked, ''Can I come over.''
''Yeah,'' Eunmi sighed, ''I was supposed to go to work today but I called in sick. I just couldn't go without knowing what was going on. If you wouldn't have picked up the phone I would have shown up in front of your apartment.''
''Oh,'' You replied not knowing how to explain that she wasn't going to find you there either. ''Well, uh, I'm I can be at your place in about 30 min, is that okay?''
''The earlier the better,'' Eunmi replied, ''You have to tell me everything!''
''See you soon,'' You said softly. Eunmi sounded strangely excited, didn't she realize you had just lost your job?
''See you soon,'' She replied and you hang up the phone before she could say anything else. You sighed, her reaction seemed a bit off to you. You got up and walked back to the living room. To your surprise, almost everyone was sitting in the living room completely dressed and on their phones as if they were waiting for something.
''Hey,'' Yoongi said when he noticed you walking back into the living room, ''Everything okay?''
''Yeah,'' you nodded, ''I just have to go somewhere.''
''Where?'' Yoongi narrowed his eyebrow at you suspiciously.
''Eunmi,'' You replied, ''I have a lot of explaining to do, she overheard the same conversation as you remember.''

''What are you going to tell her?'' Yoongi asked with his eyebrows still furrowed.
''I don't know,'' You shrugged, ''I think she already knows a lot, but I want to know what exactly.''
''I don't trust her,'' Yoongi replied bluntly, ''Do you think that she could have told the CEO?''
''I don't know,'' You looked down at the ground, ''I never told her anything and I trust her, but maybe she found out somehow? I don't know. I want to talk to her first before I draw any conclusions.''
Yoongi nodded, ''Everyone is going to BigHit soon, you can go with them. Mr. Choi can drop you off at Eunmi's home.''
''Is that alright with you?'' You asked at the three boys who were sitting on the other couch, waiting for the rest.
''Of course,'' Hoseok replied, ''There aren't any bus stops nearby, we can't let you walk all the way.''
''Thanks,'' You smiled at Hoseok.
J25 minutes later Mr. Choi stopped in front of Eunmi's house.
''Thank you,'' You said to him opened the door, and got out of the car.
It had been strange for everyone to leave the house and leaving Yoongi behind. He hadn't said anything but you knew how hurt he was. Now that you're not near each other anymore you could feel his sadness, hurt, and worry, you couldn't say that you were feeling any different though. Add to that the guilt that you felt for over everything that happened.
After Mr. Choi drove off you took one last deep breath to gather your courage and rang Eunmi's doorbell. The downstairs door opened without her saying anything, should you take that as a bad sign? During the elevator ride, you pondered about what you were going to say to her. She had been your friend and you had trusted her and now that she overheard the conversation she deserves to hear the truth, but what had she already known? Before you were going to tell her everything you first needed some answers too.
''Y/N!'' Eunmi exclaimed when you were in front of her door and hugged you tightly, ''You have to tell me everything!''
''Eunmi,'' You replied in a calm voice and pushed her away from a little, ''We need to talk.''
''Yes! Tell me!'' She said too excited,'' It's true isn't it, you are soulmates with Yoongi?''
''Eunmi...'' You looked at her with a sad expression, ''We really need to talk.''
''Oh..'' Eunmi's face fell after she saw your expression, ''He isn't your soulmate? Then why? I know you're not a saseang then why? I don't understand.''
''Eunmi, have you not heard the news?'' It hadn't occurred to you that she hadn't heard about Yoongi losing his job. As she was also an employee at BigHit you had assumed she would have known, but now that you thought about it more it made sense she didn't know. She said she left BigHit soon after you had run off to try to find you and hasn't gone back since.
''What news?'' She asked worriedly.
''Yoongi got fired.'' You looked the ground embarrassed still thinking it was your fault
''What!'' She exclaimed, ''I thought you got fired!''
''I did,'' You softly spoke, ''We both got fired.''
''What?'' Eunmi asked confused, ''I don't understand, why would they fire him?''
''Because I am his soulmate,'' You looked up at Eunmi to see her reaction.

''So it is true,'' Eunmi said but this time she wasn't smiling, ''but why would they fire him?''
''Because apparently, it's a breach of contract,'' You replied.
''But...'' Eunmi looked at the ground disappointed, ''Shouldn't they be happy for him?''
You shrugged, ''Apparently, they don't care.''
''I knew it was risky to accept the job at BigHit,'' You said explaining a little bit her reactions seemed genuine and you believed her, ''But it was my dream job and I just couldn't pass that opportunity.''
''Wait?'' Eunmi pointed at you confused, ''Yoongi didn't get you that job.''
''No,'' This time you looked at her confused, ''I applied for it without him knowing.''
''Wait? What?'' Eunmi replied even more confused, ''You found out about being soulmates after you got the job? BigHit rarely takes interns and I thought that Yoongi must have helped you out to get the job, so the two of you could be closer.''
''If that would be the case Eunmi why would we both be fired now?'' You plopped down on her couch and sighed, ''I bonded with Yoongi months ago by coincidence at his concert, we never told BigHit and I applied for the job without him knowing. The only reason for my application was my love of editing, I almost didn't apply because it was at BigHit, Yoongi's company, I knew it was risky. I shouldn't have done it, all of this wouldn't have happened.''
''Y/n...'' Eunmi sat next to you on the couch and hugged you, ''It wasn't your fault. I'm sorry I reacted so happily, didn't know. I thought you were going to come over with good news. That you were soulmates with Yoongi and that everything had been a misunderstanding and... well... I never thought it would have turned out like this. I'm sorry.''
''Eunmi?'' You look at her, ''I do have to ask you something.''
Eunmi looks at you confused, ''Sure, what about?''
''Did you know?'' You looked at Eunmi and tried to read the emotions on her face.
''Know what?'' Eunmi tilted her head and looked at you confused.
''About me and Yoongi,'' You replied, ''Our soulmate bond.''
''No, I didn't. How would I have known?'' Eunmi shook her head, then her face fell and the looked at you in shock, '' You think I was the one who told the CEO?''
''You really didn't know?'' You asked again you needed to be sure.
''Y/N, even if I knew I would never tell the CEO, I'm kinda hurt you would think I would do something like that.'' Eunmi shook her head again, ''I would never...''
You believed her, she had seemed genuinely surprised by most of the things that you had told her.
''It's just..'' You felt a little bad of being so suspicious of her, ''At the office party I got kinda drunk and I can't remember most of it I was afraid that maybe I said something and you might have figured something out or someone else or, or... I don't know.''
''You did say Yoongi was gorgeous,'' Eunmi laughed a little, ''I didn't think much of it since I knew you were a fan so I thought you were just kinda drunk fangirling over your bias. Guess I was wrong.''
''Well, maybe you weren't as far off as you'd think,'' You replied grinning a little, ''He might be my soulmate but I sometimes still have to contain the inner fangirl.''
Eunmi laughed, ''I can imagine. Honestly, I am a little jealous, not only did you find your soulmate it is Min freaking Yoongi.''
''I know right,'' You smiled at her but then changed to e more serious expression, ''But do you any idea who could have told the CEO?''
''No, I have no idea'' Eunmi shook her head again, but suddenly looked up at you realizing something, ''But speaking of the office party do you remember that producer?''
''Which producer?'' You asked confused.
''That pervy producer who was trying to feel you up,'' Eunmi explained.
''He did what!'' You exclaimed surprised you couldn't remember anything like that happening that night.
''I thought you might not remember,'' Eunmi scratched the back of her neck awkwardly, ''you were kinda drunk.''
''And you didn't think to tell me about it!'' You replied shocked.
''Honestly, nothing really happened, ''You were drunk and stumbled he caught you and used that opportunity to hold onto you, and then I dragged you out saving your ass. You hadn't even noticed what happened, you were so drunk you could barely walk... So I took you home.''
''Ah, I'm sorry for getting so drunk,'' You replied rubbing your neck embarrassed, ''But do you think he might have known something?''
''No,'' Eunmi replied, ''That producer is known as a huge flirt besides why would he tell the CEO even if he knew. He has nothing to gain from it. He might be a huge flirt but he is good at what he does and is already one of the main producers.''
''Then if you think it isn't him why are you telling me all this?'' You raised an eyebrow at her.
''Well, actually,'' Eunmi said in a serious voice, ''When I overheard the conversation with the CEO and the head editor they were talking about a picture of you with and employee that had been handed to them. It was supposed to be evidence of you being in a relationship. My guess is you though that it was a picture of you and Yoongi?''
''Yeah,'' You replied, ''Where are you going with this?''
''What if it wasn't a picture of you and Yoongi?'' Eunmi questioned, ''They said they never expected you to mention Yoongi, which means they didn't know about your soulmate bond. The CEO said that you had been seen with an employee, not an artist or Yoongi, that picture must have been taken at the office party, of you with the producer.''
''Oh-my-god,'' You exclaimed in shock, ''They didn't know, I outed myself. I am such an idiot... This is all my fault.''
''No, no,'' Eunmi grabbed your arm and tried to comfort you, ''Don't think like that, It wasn't your fault. I think they set you up. I think that the person who told the CEO took a picture of you with the producer and sent that to the CEO knowing it would get you into trouble.''
''But why?'' You asked confused.
''I have no idea,'' Eunmi replied, ''It must have been someone who wanted you out of BigHit, I just don't understand everyone at the office thought you were talented and a nice person. I can't think of anyone who could have done this.''
''Me neither,'' You replied shaking your head, ''The CEO said it was a trustworthy source, so it can't be just anyone. It must be someone higher up.''
''Maybe,'' Eunmi replied, ''When I'm going to work I will subtly ask around and see what I can find out, okay?''
''Thanks,'' You replied, ''BTS's their manager and Namjoon are also at BigHit trying to solve everything, hopefully, they will also be able to settle everything.''
''Did they really fire Yoongi?'' Eunmi asked, ''I just can't imagine it.''
''They did,'' You replied, ''I don't understand it but they did. Yoongi was so upset about it, I had never seen him like that.''
''He must be devastated, BTS is a family,'' Eunmi replied, ''I don't think any of them is just going to sit back and watch this happen.''
'No,'' You replied, ''I think Jimin, Taehyung, and Seokjin were about ready to enter the CEO's office and beat the guy up.''
''But Yoongi will be fine eventually,'' You said, ''He is a talented rapper and producer, besides he has money and fame. Even if he doesn't get his job back he has other options.''
''Yeah, but so do you,'' Eunmi smiled and nodded you.
''What do you mean?'' You asked her confused.
''You are seriously talented too,'' Eunmi smirked at you, ''Can I let you in on a little secret?''
''Tell me,'' You curiously said.
''There was this rumor going around about you, someone heard the head editor talking about you, ''Eunmi said, ''They were going to offer you a job as a junior editor, I know this isn't going to help you now, but it's just a reminder of how seriously talented you are. I bet that if you apply anywhere after you graduate they will gladly hire you.''
''If I graduate,'' You added.
''Oh come one,'' Eunmi nudged you again, ''You will, have a little bit of faith in yourself.''
''Thanks,'' You smiled at her, it did make you a little bit better. Though you still doubt if she is just telling you this to make you feel better, or if it was actually the truth. Either way, it did make you feel a little bit better.
''So,'' Eunmi said and wiggled her eyebrows seductively, ''Tell me about Yoongi and your soulmate bond.''
