{54 Dinner with friends

Your POV

Sighing you look at your phone in your hands, you wanted to tell him, you really did. Moreover, you had promised Jieun and Haneul that you would, but Yoongi was busy and wasn't able to meet up with you. He was giving a concert tonight and right after would go straight to Daejeon because of their schedule tomorrow. He would only be back at the end of the week. It wasn't the first time he was an away for a few days he's always busy and you didn't blame him you just wished he would have told you sooner. Now you had to postpone telling him about the job application. You hated the idea of lying to him again but hated the idea of sharing such information over text even more.

You put your phone back into the pocket of your apron and returned to your work in the café, it had been a slow day. There weren't many people coming in and you had mostly spent your timing chatting with your co-worker or cleaning around the café. You were glad it wasn't busy the conversation you just had with Yoongi put you in a bad mood. Not only did you feel bad about not being able to tell him about the job application but you were disappointed you weren't able to see him the rest of the week. You weren't mad or anything, just disappointed. Yoongi hadn't even known himself that he would be away the whole week until this morning. There had been a change in his schedule and therefore had to leave earlier than expected. Honestly, Yoongi seemed to be more disappointed then you, since you had been incredibly busy with the application you had barely seen him and add the tension of not telling him the truth, it hadn't been a good week. You were well aware Yoongi knew something was going on, you could feel his emotions, of course, you knew, the more you thought about the more you realized it would have been better to just tell him the truth from the beginning. He was your soulmate after all of all people he should understand right? Now it was too late.

The rest of the workday dragged on extremely slow, Yoongi's emotions were all over the place. Sometimes being excited or nervous and then suddenly changing to sadness and disappointment, probably because of the concert and everything that had been going on this week. He too must feel your emotions which probably weren't any better, the two of you were affecting each other in a bad way. It had been difficult to concentrate on work and you felt relieved when at 7 pm you finally were able to take off the apron and leave work. You didn't feel like going home you knew because of the concert Yoongi's emotions would make it impossible for you to sit quietly at home, so you had messaged Jieun and Haneul earlier if they wanted to go out to after your work. They had happily agreed since the three of you hadn't had a nice evening out for a while because you had been so busy.

''Hey,'' You smiled at your friends and plopped down on the chair next to Haneul.

''How was work?'' Haneul asked but after taking one look at your exhausted face, ''That bad?''

''You look exhausted,'' Jieun checked you up and down, ''You've lost weight too, are you eating well?''

''A lot has been going on, okay,'' You had hoped that they would distract you from Yoongi's emotions not talk about your life's choices, ''Can we talk about something else?''

''Sure,'' Haneul smiled, obviously reading the signs you weren't in the mood to talk, ''We've already ordered food, we thought you would be hungry so we also ordered for you.''

''Thanks,'' You replied and poured yourself some water, ''How was your guys day?''

''Okay, I guess, '' Jieun replied, ''Didn't do much just caught up with a few series.''

''ugh, I wish I could do that. My mom's been on the back the whole week, nagging me about the internship. She keeps saying stuff like,'' Haneul imitated her mother's strict expression and put her hands on her hips, ''Haneul you need to get a good internship so you can get a good job!''

''But you already had a few options right? Companies who had replied to your applications?'' Jieun asked surprised, ''Why is she complaining?''

''I don't know!'' Haneul threw her hands up in frustration and then shrugged, '' Guess, nothing is good enough for her. What about you Jieun, have you heard anything?''

''Actually!'' Jieun says with a huge grin on her face, ''I haven't told you guys yet, but I found an internship!''

''What! Where?'' You asked curiously.

''You're looking at a future Pledis entertainment film intern,'' Jieun smiled proudly and then her face fell into a more neutral expression, ''Which means I'll be just an assistant helping with equipment and not filming anything, but hey, I got an internship.''

''An internship?!'' You exclaimed excited, ''You're going to work at an entertainment company too, that's so awesome!''

''Too? You've heard back from BigHit?'' Haneul raised an eyebrow at you.

''No,'' You said disappointed, ''Not yet.''

''Have you already thought about what it is going to mean to your relationship with Yoongi when you do get the job?'' Jieun gave you a serious look, ''If you have to keep everything hidden it might be difficult working so closely with him.''

Luckily for you, the waitress interrupted your conversation to bring the food Jieun and Haneul had ordered earlier. It smelled delicious, you hadn't realized how hungry you were until the food was right in front of you. The waitress put down a variety of small dished all kinds of vegetables and meats along with a large bowl of rice for each person. The three of you thanked the waitress and when she left you dug into the food piling it onto your plate. The three of you ate in silence for a moment all enjoying the delicious food.

''Omg! This is so delicious,'' You moaned with a mouth full of vegetables.

''Yes, it is!'' Haneul agreed while grabbing more food and gathering it on her plate.

You were also piling more of the dishes onto your plate but just when you were about to grab the last dumpling from the plate Haneul was about to do the same. Haneul flicked her chopsticks against yours making the dumpling fall back to the plate. You glared at Haneul who glared back at you, then the two of you glared at the dumpling together for a moment before Haneul attacked and grabbed the dumpling. Quickly you too flicked you chopsticks against hers making the dumpling fall back to the plate yet again.

''This means war,'' You stated and instead of going for the dumpling again you assembled you chopsticks and mercilessly started attacking Haneuls chopsticks, bursting into a chopstick swordfight.

''Guys! Stop it!!'' Jieun slams her fist onto the table and shook the dishes on it, the two of you froze and stared at Jieun in shock who crossed her arms and shook her head, ''I really can't take you kids, with me into the public, can I?''

The three of you stay silent for a moment staring at each other before all you burst out laughing. Completely forgetting about the serious conversation you were having earlier.

-----

I'm sorry it took me so long to update, I've been really busy during the holidays. On top of that, I've been struggling to write this chapter, even though I know exactly where I want this story to go I just don't know how to get there. I also made a few changes to the plot while writing the earlier chapters which means these changes also need to be incorporated into the later chapters. Therefore I have to rewrite some of the plots to make everything fit together. This chapter might not seem like much but I probably spent three times as long writing this then I have with any other chapter. I just can't seem to get the words out. It's frustrating, but I'm trying my best to update on time.

Unfortunately, Wattpad was being a pain in the ass and decided to not save half of the chapter when I had finally completed it and since I already trouble writing it the first time I could go and write it again. Thank you very much, Wattpad.....

Anyway sorry for the long wait, I will try my best to now go back to my regular schedule of updating every 5 days!! My work is getting less busy these days so I think I can manage this time!

Random character fact:

You used to be a very picky eater when younger but somehow you overgrew that and love all food! Except for oranges you hate oranges you can't stand the smell.

PS: HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THE COMEBACK TRAILER!! Suga always has those songs with meaningful lyrics and I love it!
