Your POV

Nervously you smooth down your skirt, you're not used to wearing something so tight, but Jieun and Haneul persisted on you wearing it. They said it looked beautiful but still professional. Jieun had also outdone herself while doing your make-up, even you had to admit you looked beautiful. Not necessarily like yourself but beautiful. Making a good first impression was key so not completely being yourself wasn't important, it was making an impression that was important.

Everything had gone so fast just yesterday you had received an email if you would like to come in for an interview and here you are inside the BigHit building in a waiting room, waiting to get called in for your interview. After you had received the email you had immediately called over your friends who had helped sent an email back and preparing an outfit. Jieun had even skipped classes to do your make-up. You hadn't even had a chance to tell Yoongi, there just hadn't been any time. Luckily Yoongi had texted you that he would be out for a photo shoot today and wasn't going to be inside the BigHit building. If he would have been in it could have been quite a problem. You still had no idea how he was going to react and now that you had been invited to an interview it was getting more real than ever. He's been asking questions lately and even though you feel bad for lying you just couldn't tell him. There could only be two outcomes either he hates it and tries to stop you from working at BigHit or he would love it and could influence BigHit into hiring you. You hated both options, you didn't want to give up on your dream job just because of him neither did you want to get a job just because of him. When had everything become so complicated?

''Y/n?'' A woman dressed in a tight black pencil skirt with a clipboard in her hands called your name.

''Y-yes!'' You jumped up from your seat and couldn't help the nervous little stutter that had come out.

''Come with me please,'' She guided you to a small room where a serious-looking man was seated.

''Goodmorning Y/N,'' The man smiled friendly at you, ''Thank you for coming in such short notice.''

''Thank you for inviting me,'' You answered politely.

''I'm Mr. Choi,'' He introduced himself politely before pointing to the woman who had called your name earlier,'' and this is my assistant, Miss. Shim,''

''Nice to meet you,'' You bowed politely.

''Take a seat Y/N,'' Mr. Choi pointed to the seat across from him, awkwardly you took the bag off your shoulders and sat down in your seat. You folded your hands in your lap afraid the fumbling would reveal how nervous you were.

''Y/N,'' Mr. Choi said in a serious voice, ''We were impressed by your portfolio, but can you tell me a little bit more about yourself.

''Uhm,'' You immediately cursed yourself for looking unprepared and unprofessional, this was one of the most common questions Jieun and Haneul had practiced this with you. You could do this! ''Well, I'm Y/n and I've always been interested in the entertainment industry especially the creative side of it. I was so amazed at how people were able to create such visually stunning music videos and edits. It became my dream to one day take part in that myself.''

Mr. Choi nodded encouragingly and genuinely seemed interested in your story, you continued telling about your life.

''Because of that I started my study in Graphics and Media design hoping to one day be able to work in the entertainment industry,'' You hoped that what you were telling him was good enough they seemed interested but maybe they were just being polite?

''You said you have always been interested in the entertainment industry,'' Mr. Choi crossed his arms in front of him, ''So, you're familiar with the world of Kpop? Are you a fan?''

''Yeah, I would consider myself a fan,'' You carefully say, afraid if you would sound too excited they would think you were just a fan trying to get close to there idols by applying for a job at their entertainment.

''So do you know BTS? TXT?'' Mr. Choi asked you to try reading his expression but failed miserably you had no idea what he had meant with these questions and what the answer he was looking for.

''Euh... Yeah, well not personally of course,'' You straight-up lied, but you couldn't possibly tell him you were practically friends with BTS ''I'm just a fan of their music.''

''Have you ever been to one of there concerts?'' Mr. Choi leaned forward in his seat, where was he going with this?

''Y- Yeah,'' You replied with a slight stutter, it had not been your intention to sound like such a fangirl his questions just made it look different then it was you needed to say something. Change the subject from being a fangirl to being a professional who was here to get a job, your dream job, not because you were a fan. ''I was amazed by the graphics on the video screens and the amazing live editing skills during the concert. It would be amazing to take part in creating those and bringing the boys alive on the screen.''

''Good,'' Mr. Choi nodded approvingly, ''Since, you're still studying what are your expectations of this job?''

''I don't expect you to immediately hire me as a junior,'' You replied honestly, ''I'm still a student, even though I am just one internship from graduating and am motivated to be able to gain experience in the field. It would be amazing if I would be able to do my graduation internship and thesis at your company.''

''We are not looking for an intern, though,'' Mr. Choi raised an eyebrow, ''If we would hire you we expect you to work and act just as professional as any junior, we are not going to give you any special treatment.''

''I don't expect you to,'' You replied determined, '' I will work hard to achieve everything you expect of me, I am prepared to do anything to get my dream job.''

''You're dream job, huh,'' Mr. Choi said cockily, ''Where do you see yourself in 5 years?''

''Honestly,'' You said bluntly, ''I have no idea, What I do know is that I dream of working as a creative director at an entertainment company, I know it's impossible to get there in 5 years. But I promise you I will work hard to get there eventually.''

''Creative director,'' Mr. Choi leaned forward again, you weren't sure if he was interested or not but you seemed to have gotten his attention, ''And what skill do you think you still would have to improve to be able to get there?''

''A lot,'' You replied honestly, ''I'm still a student with little to no experience and I would have to experience in my field to be able to get there. Just my degree won't get me anywhere it's what I do with it that counts.''

''Those are wise words y/n,'' Mr. Choi smiled at you, ''So, what do you expect of this job?''

''I expect that I can let my creative juices flow and help with the editing of their videos,'' Had I just said creative juices in an interview..... Oh my god... Why? ''I hope you will give me this chance and let me prove myself I'm up for the job even though I haven't graduated yet.''

Miss. Shim who had been sitting quietly listening next to Mr. Choi looked at her watched and subtly nudged Mr. Choi's shoulder.

''Ah Y/N.'' He almost sounded disappointed, what had Miss. Shim's tap meant? ''I'm afraid or time is up. Thank you for coming in today, you'll hear from us.''

''No thank you for inviting me and giving this chance and experience,'' You wobbly stood up from your chair and again bowed politely, ''I hope to hear from you soon.''

Miss. Shim got up from her chair and walked to the door opening it for you. Just when you turned around Mr. Choi said a few more words while smiling slightly.

''You will y/n,''

You smiled at him ones more, had he just gave you confirmation that you were going to hear from him again and had his slight smile meant that it was going to be good news?

Welcome back to another chapter! So Y/N got an interview! Have you guys ever been to a job interview? I've had quite a few since currently, I'm at like the fifth job in the past 2 years. They never were in my field of study though. I guess I'm just really bad at writing application letters... I never even seem to get invited to any always saying you don't have enough experience.

Random character fact:

This is your first job interview even though you work at the small cafe on the weekends you practically had been hired by walking through the door. They had been short on staff and hired you without even interviewing you.
