Your POV

''Your friends are nice,'' Yoongi said following you back to the living room, ''They seem to care for you.''

''Thanks,'' You sat down on the couch, ''They've always been there for me, I care about them a lot.''

Yoongi sat down next to you on the couch grabbing the wine from your hand and placing it on the coffee table before returning his attention to you. He smiled at you with loving eyes and slowly came a little closer hugging you, the whole evening you had kind wished to be this close to him. Even though the two of you had been squeezed next to each other on the small couch, you still wanted more, wanting him closer. A shiver went down your spine making your whole body tingly when Yoongi placed a soft kiss on your neck. You felt your heart skip a few beats but weren't sure if it was his or yours, the butterflies that were racing around in your stomach were yours though. How was it possible that everything still felt so intense with him. It felt so good to be in his arms feeling his warmth his comfort, his kisses, everything. You just wanted to stay in his arms for eternity.

''Can I ask you a question?'' Yoongi all of sudden asked in a serious tone, ''I'm curious about something.''

''You can ask me anything Yoongi,'' Suprised you looked up at him, ''Really anything.''

''What did Namjoon want to talk to you about?'' Yoongi bluntly asked.

''ah, that,'' You sighed and looked at the ground avoiding his eyes.

It was not that you didn't want to talk to him about it, just not now. It was too soon, just a week ago he had told you he wasn't ready to talk about it with you. You had wanted to give him more time, give him a chance to bring up the subject himself when he was ready. The two of you hadn't even been dating that long, we were also still figuring out what it meant to be soulmates.

''I-, We-, he-'' You stuttered not knowing what to say, should you lie and tell him it was nothing or tell him the truth knowing it was a sensitive subject he wasn't ready about to talk about.

''Y/n, if you don't want to talk about it, it's okay,'' Yoongi put an arm around to comfort you and tell you it was okay.

How was he so perfect? You hugged him back and decided you couldn't lie to him, even if it was a sensitive subject it was better, to tell the truth.

''No,'' You looked into his eyes, ''It's fine, it's just- I know it's a sensitive topic and I don't want you to feel forced to tell me things you're not ready to tell me.''

''Now, I'm even more curious,'' Yoongi smiles slightly to reassure you, ''You really can tell me anything.''

''That's the point it wasn't about me, it was about you,'' You replied, at first he looked at you surprised but that quickly changed to understanding as if he knew what Namjoon had said.

''About me huh,'' Yoongi looked at the ground, ''How much did he tell you?''

''Honestly, almost nothing,'' You nervously fumble with the end of your sleeve, ''He told me that sometimes you might come across as cold with your sarcastic comments, but that in reality you were more sensitive and he was afraid you were hiding that part from me. Which you know with the soulmate bond is kind of impossible and when I told him that he said he had just one more thing to say.''

''Namjoon the great leader,'' Yoongi chuckles and takes your hands in his to stop your fumbling, ''Always caring more for others than himself. What did he say?''

''That I should take good care of you,'' You smiled at him, ''He made me promise that I wouldn't hurt you because you've already been through enough in your life and that you deserve to be happy.''

''So?'', Yoongi carefully asks, ''He didn't tell you anything about what I've been through he just said I've been through a lot.''

''Yeah, he said it was not his place to tell,'' You looked him in the eyes with a serious expression, ''Yoongi, I know this is a sensitive topic and difficult to talk about and like I said last time you don't have to tell me anything you're not ready for but I just want you to know that I'll be always here for you when you do want to talk.''

''You're amazing,'' Yoongi said smiling and giving you a peck on your cheek, ''Do you know that?''

You blush a little even though you had been more intimate before somehow this compliment reached your heart.

''I think maybe it's time to tell you a little more,'' Yoongi looked at his empty glass of wine on the table, ''I might want another glass of wine for that though.''

''You don't have to tell me anything if you don't want to,'' You replied picking up his glass and pouring in some wine for him, while also pouring yourself another glass.

''No it's fine, I want to,'' He replied and you handed him his now full glass, ''I will just start at the beginning, okay?''

''Sure, it's your story,'' You replied already curious about what he was going to tell and how personal the story was going to be.

After you nestled yourself on the couch, sitting as close as possible next to him he started the story.

''You might already know parts of this because not everything is a secret, some parts of my past are already on the internet,'' Yoongi started telling, '' You might have read online that my parents never really supported my dream to produce music.''

''Yeah,'' You nodded, ''I've read that somewhere, you've also discussed some of your past in your lyrics right?''

''Yeah,'' Yoongi replied, ''It's one of the few ways I seem to be able to express myself, maybe if this storytelling tonight won't work out I'll write you a song.''

''I'd love to hear it,'' You smiled at him while sipping your wine.

''I'll remember that,'' He smiled back at you, ''Anyway when I was in high school I wasn't focused on school. I rather write lyrics and think of songs to produce and when I got home I would always lock myself into my room and instead of homework I would work on music.''

''You worked as an underground rapper too right?'' You asked curiously.

''No,'' Yoongi said taking a small sip of wine, ''No not yet, this was before that.''

''Ah sorry for interrupting your story,'' You apologized, ''Go on I won't say anything anymore.''

''It's fine,'' Yoongi replied, ''I like hearing what you think. Anyway, my parents hated my love for music and would always get angry with me because of my low grades. They told me that music would never get me a lasting job and I should study to get good grades and a good job. In their eyes, I was wasting my life with dreams of producing music.''

''Well, you did kind of prove them wrong,'' You proudly looked at him, ''Look at where you re now. The whole world knows who you are.''

''Perhaps I did,'' Yoongi replied, ''But I also gave up my whole youth to just get where I am now and sometimes I wonder if it was worth all of that, but that's a whole other story. Back to the one I was telling. I would get angry with my parents too, producing music, becoming a rapper was my dream and I hated them for not letting me do what I wanted.''

''Well, you were in high school,'' You shrugged, ''Everyone kind off hates their parents at that age.''

''Yeah that might be true,'' Yoongi said, ''Now that I am older I know my parents just wanted the best for me, but at that time I didn't see it that way, I hated them, truly hated them. One day the principal had called my parents telling them about my low grades and when I got back home they had burned my music.''

''Burned your music?'' You raised an eyebrow. ''You mean that figuratively right?''

''No they burned it,'' Yoongi looked down his dark hair covering his eyes thinking back to those memories hurt him, ''In our fireplace, there was a small pile of ash that ones were my notes, lyrics books everything, all of it gone.''

''No way,'' Mouth gaping you looked at him shocked, ''You can't be serious, they couldn't j-just burn it all.''

''Well they did, honestly I think they didn't burn my equipment but rather sold it, but they told me they had burned it all. That it was gone for good.'' With his head still hanging low he gritted his teeth before continuing, '' I was so mad, I even had bought most of that equipment myself, they had no right! Never had I hated them as much as at that moment, I was furious.''

''Yeah, well I can understand,'' Empathetically you let go of one of his hands and put it around his should trying to get a little closer to reassure him, ''I would have been furious too.''

''Seconds after I got home I got into a huge fight with them, they told me that now that everything was gone I could finally focus on studying. I yelled back that they had ruined my life and ran away.'' Yoongi let go of my hand and grabbed his wine to take a big gulp, you had never known he had run away. His parents had burned his dreams you can't imagine what that must feel like. Suddenly you felt privileged you've always had an easy life with supportive parents, life was so unfair.

To be continued!

The chapter was getting long so I'm going to tell the second part of the story in pt4, what do you think will happen to Yoongi on the streets? Where will he go? Who will he meet?

Random characters fact:

As a teenager you always tried to rebel and liked to go against your parents, that's also how you befriended Jieun who was the real rebel. The two of you ''ran away'' countless of times when one of you got mad at their parents, only to return hours later. You never planned to stay away long just long enough for them to care.
