Your POV

After the girls said they wanted to meet Yoongi you sent him a message, at first he seemed a little hesitant. You didn't blame him, he didn't know them, but after you said they have known since the beginning he didn't have another excuse. You had met his friends after all, so why should he not agree to meet yours. Of course, like always he was busy and didn't know if he would manage to meet up with you the same week, but he promised he would try to do his best. In the end, you were disappointed when he told you that he wouldn't be able to, but you knew they were really busy, they had just released their new album, persona, this week and they were busy with promoting it. The release of this album also put quite some stress on you, you knew that with a new album a tour was inevitable and that meant he would be away for a long time. There was no way you would be able to meet up with him during that time as no one from the company even knew about the two of you. You tried to push the thoughts to the back of your head there was nothing you could do anyway, but from time to time they would run around in your head.

''Y/N?'' Haneul asked concerned, ''What are you looking at?''

She followed your gaze to an empty white wall on the other side of the small study room in the library.

''Huh?'' You snapped back from your thoughts, ''What did you say Haneul?''

''You seemed to be lost in thought.'' Haneul replied. ''what were you thinking about? Are you worried about tonight?''

''I promise we'll behave!'' Jieun added and put on her best angelic expression.

''I know, I know, '' You said and sighed, ''It's not that, it's just you know with the new album they probably will announce their tour soon and he will be gone for who knows how long.''

''There going on tour!?'' Jieun asked surprised.

''Don't they always,'' You looked at Jieun with a sad expression, ''They almost always go on tour after the release of the new album.''

''That's true,'' Haneul replied, ''He hasn't said anything yet?''

''No, not yet,'' You answered, ''We haven't been dating that long I don't even really expect him to tell me everything about his life, besides he might not even be allowed to say anything, BigHit might not even allow that.''

''True, but he is your soulmate though,'' Jieun replies, ''What are you going to do when he has to leave?''

''I don't know,'' You looked down at the desk, ''There isn't much I can do than wait until he comes back.''

Your friends look at you for a moment, not knowing what to say.

''Okay!'' Jieun says loudly, ''Let's forget this for a moment he isn't gone yet, he actually will be coming over, so what are our plans?''

Tonight Yoongi was finally coming over to meet your friends, your friends hadn't stopped talking about it since you told them a few days ago that today he finally found some time. Still, he had to work the whole day and had to perform tomorrow so he had to come late and leave early, but at least he had tonight off. So you too had been looking forward to this since this would probably the only time you were going to see him this month as he had also told you he was going abroad soon. Not on tour just yet, but he would be going to Japan to promote the album and would be gone for two weeks.

''Okay so he will arrive at 8 pm,'' You look at the time on your phone, ''It's currently 5.30 so maybe we should finish our studies and get some groceries before going to my apartment and have dinner there?''

''Sounds good,'' Haneul nodded, ''But what are we going to do tonight?''

''What about we just talk?'' You replied and winked at the girls, ''I'm sure you guys have enough questions for him.''

''True, '' Jieun replies, ''But what if it will be awkward and no one will break the ice?''

''We drink,'' You laugh, ''That's what we are best at right?''

''True,'' Haneul replies laughing, ''Then we do have to get enough wine.''

''Okay, let's finish our work!''Jieun says, ''And then Go!!''

You turn back to your studying books but you aren't able to concentrate on your work anymore so instead you start writing down the groceries you'll have to buy at the supermarket later. At 6 the three of you leave to get groceries, the three of you decide to just get frozen pizza because it's easy and cheap and buy 5 bottles of wine just to b sure. The closer it gets too 8 the more nervous you get and you notice you are not the only one.

''Haneul,'' You sigh when you notice she is pouring herself another glass of wine, ''isn't that your 3rd glass?''

''Yeah, it is,'' Haneul casually replies as if it is nothing, ''You know I talk to strangers more easily when I drink.''

''I know you are nervous but is alcohol-''

''Y/N,'' Jieun swings an arm around your shoulder and leads you away from the kitchen and ushers you to the small couch, ''Sit down, sip your wine and don't stress too much.''

''But-''

Jieun cuts you off, ''No buts!

Jieun plops down on the couch next to you and Haneul joined the two of you with her 3rd glass of wine. Even though you had just judged her for pouring another glass of wine you too were starting on your 3rd glass, you were nervous about him meeting your friends. It all seemed to be so serious before you knew it he would be meeting your parents! You hadn't even told them yet he was your soulmate, it just made everything so real and you knew the moment you would tell them that she wouldn't stop talking about. Especially since Yoongi is worldwide famous and your mother isn't good at keeping secrets you were afraid of who she might tell. Why were you even thinking about this he isn't meeting your parents he is meeting your friends! That was already enough stress, you didn't know how they would react. Would be their quirky selves or turn into fangirls or even worse turn into police officers interrogating a suspect. You sighed there was only one way to find out.

''Y/N, Stop sighing it's going to be fine!'' Jieun squeezes your thigh to try to make you feel more comfortable.

''I know, I know...'' You reply, ''It's just everything seems so serious now that you are going to meet him.''

''He's your soulmate,'' Haneul smiles reassuring at you, ''It was already serious from the start, don't worry we love you and you love him, so I'm sure we will love him too!''

''Thanks,'' You smile at your friends, this made you feel better they seemed to handle the whole situation so well, they were calm and collected, they seemed to handle it better than you.

You felt your phone vibrate in your pocket and your heartbeat involuntary sped up when you read it.

Yoongi: I'm getting in the car right now, I'll be there in a few. You seem to have already started drinking ;) Will you pour a glass for me for when I arrive?

''See her smiling at her phone, it must be him right?'' Jieun says to Haneul.

''Yeah,'' Haneul replies, ''What is he saying Y/N?''

''Huh, what?'' You barely heard what they had been saying.

''Definitely him,'' Haneul giggles, ''So cute.''

''He is on his way,'' You reply, ''Ah, I'm so nervous!''

The three of you sip your wine while talking a little bit about school work, but everyone's mind is somewhere else. You're just so nervous and suddenly you wonder if it is just you who is nervous or if these nervous were also from someone else. Could it be Yoongi is just as nervous? When you think about it it's not that strange it doesn't happen often you meet your soulmates friends.

It seems to be just seconds have passed when suddenly a familiar feeling enters your chest, Yoongi's heartbeat.

''He's here,'' You announce and sit up straight ready to get up and open the door for him when he is a little closer.

''What?'' Haneul asks confused, ''How did you know?''

''Did he text you he was here?'' Jieun asks but then realizes your phone is still on the table in front of you, ''Wait no, your phone's over there, but then? how?''

''Because were soulmates,'' You smirk putting a hand over your chest and get up to open the door for Yoongi.

''What?'' Haneul asks confused.

''So it's true then?'' Jieun smiles brightly, ''You feel each other heartbeat?''

''Yeah,'' You reply, '' I thought I told you guys this already and we learned this in class too...''

''I always thought it was just a fairytale, you know.'' Haneul says, ''And that the heartbeat thing was kind of a metaphor for something.''

''But she also feels his emotions and pain, '' Jieun points out, ''We should have known the heartbeat thing was real too.''

''True,'' Haneul agrees.

''It's only when he is near me though,'' You explain, ''And when he is near I don't feel is emotion as strong nor do we feel each other pain. Did you guys never pay attention in class or something?''

''I did,'' Haneul says defensively and starts explaining to prove she, in fact, did listen, ''The pain and emotion is meant as an evolutionary trait triggered when soulmates are apart from each to ensure each other's safety when the two of them are in close proximately this trait subsides and instead they can feel each other presence more intense in the form of each other life source, their heartbeat.''

''Wow did you swallow a dictionary or something?'' Jieun jokes, ''Jeeh, you didn't need to quote the textbook word by word.''

''Hmph,'' Haneul stuck up her nose at Jieun. ''At least I paid attention.''

You leave the two bickering girls and rush off to the front door of your apartment to great Yoongi.
