{7 Doctor's appointment

Your POV

''Y/N'' A woman in a white coat called your name.

You had listened to your friends and made an appointment at the doctor's office. You were lucky someone had canceled and you were able to come on the same day that afternoon. So after the class, you went to see the doctor.

''So Y/N'' The doctor asked, ''What seems to be the problem?''

You told the doctor about your insomnia and the pain in your ankle that would suddenly appear and disappear within seconds.

First, she inspected your ankle putting pressure on certain points and moving it around asking you if it hurt anywhere, it didn't.

''When did this all start?'' She asked when she had finished inspecting your ankle.

''uh, well on Friday.'' You replied.

''Did anything unusual happen on Friday that could have set off this off?''

''Not really.''

''Hmm,'' She started playing with the pen in her hands while in deep thoughts.

''Can you run me through the things you did on Friday?'' She finally asked after a few minutes.

''Sure,'' You shrugged, ''It is going to be a short story because I went to the BTS concert and arrived early in the morning and stood in line the whole day until the concert and then I went home.''

''You went to a concert?'' her eyes narrowed ''and did anything out of the ordinary happen during the concert?''

''well...'' You paused for a moment a bit embarrassed, ''I fainted, but it was crowded and warm and it was not because I was fangirling or something.''

She laughed, ''That was not what I was implying. So, you fainted at the concert? Did you eat well that day? Drink enough water?''

''Yes.'' You replied. ''before the concert started I got food and drinks for everyone so, that can't be it.''

''How far from the stage were you? and were there any guys in the crowd around you?''

''What?'' You asked surprised.

''Oh, I just assumed you're straight, sorry. Are you? Because if not that is fine, too''

''What?'' You asked again and gaped at her, ''Why are you asking me this?''

''Well, you're symptoms correspond with someone who just met their soulmate.'' She tapped her pen at the edge of the table, thinking again.

''I'm straight.'' You replied, ''But there were only girls at the concert and I was at least 50 meters away from the stage. Moreover, the stage lights were so bright the boys weren't even able to see me. ''

The doctor kept tapping the pen against the table deep in thoughts.

''Hmm, that does make soulmate bonding quite difficult.'' She said breaking the silence. ''You're sure you're straight?''

''Yeah, I'm sure.'' You replied.

''Is there anything else that could cause all of this?'' She furrowed her eyebrows and looked intensely at you.

''Well, I have three assignments this week and on top of that had to work my shifts this weekend, so I am under a lot of stress lately.'' You answered.

''hmm'' She closed her eyes for a moment and thought deep, ''It could just be stress.''

''So no soulmate bond?'' You smiled at her.

''Is that good news?'' She looked at you surprised, ''Most people are dying to meet their soulmate, and especially if it some famous handsome idol.''

''Not me,'' You replied.

She looked at you from head to toe and tapped her pen on the table again, it must be a thinking habit of hers.

''There is also another possibility but it is extremely rare,'' She stopped tapping her pen and turned around and wrote something on a small piece of paper.

''What is the other possibility?'' You asked curiously.

'' A half bond?''

''A what?''

''A half bond,'' She said again, ''It's very rare, it can happen when two people are supposed to soulmate bond by just looking at each other.''

''Isn't that just a myth? Soulmate bonding with just one look.''

''No,'' She stopped writing and pointed her pen at you, ''It's rare but it does happen sometimes. Usually, a soulmate bond can only happen when they touch each other. However, on rare occasions, a bond can form by just looking at the other person and I look at each other. Not just a glimpse not a one-sided stare but there have been a few cases were a soulmate bond formed by just one look whether their other half is looking back or not. When they are not looking back a half bond forms. It is a one-sided bond and extremely rare.''

''One-sided bond, a half bond.'' You mumbled softly.

''Yes, but as it extremely rare it is probably not the case,'' She gave you the paper she had been writing a moment before. ''So, I suggest you take some sleeping pills this week, it will help you sleep and help reduce stress. It doesn't help call me again. Then we can reconsider the whole half bond thing.''

''So no soulmate bond.'' You asked her when you take the paper.

''I'm sorry, I know you probably were hoping for better news, '' She gives you an apologetic smile.

''Oh no, I'm actually glad.'' You smile at her. ''Thank you, I'm sure this will be enough.''

She looks at you a bit surprised but doesn't say anything about it. You stand up and shake her hand thanking her again.

''If it doesn't help don't hesitate to call again.'' She says when you leave her office. You thank her again and then start making your way home.

Before you went home you stopped by a small shop and bought yourself a new phone. You didn't have much money so you bought just a cheap secondhand phone, but it worked and that was the most important. When you got home you first sent your friends a message telling them you got a new phone and they were able to reach on this number from now on.

Just a few seconds later your phone rang, you immediately recognized the number is was Haneul.

''So how did your appointment go?'' Haneul asked.

''She said it was probably just stress.'' You replied.

''Really, just stress?'' Haneul sounded disappointed. ''You told her everything right? Also about what happened at the concert?''

''Yes, I did.''

''You sure it is just stress?''

''It is what the doctor said.'' You replied. ''What else could it be?''

''Well, I was hoping you were soulmate bonded with the one and only handsome Suga a.k.a Yoongi a.k.a the best rapper in the world! It would have been so cool you could have introduced me to all the other members and-''

''Haneul!'' You interrupted her rambling.

''Sorry,'' She said ''It would have been really cool.''

''Maybe...'' You replied, '' but I am happy its just stress.''

''Party pooper.''

''What?''

''Nothing, I am happy nothing serious is going on.'' Haneul quickly replies.

''Yeah, me too.'' You replied, ''I got some sleeping pills to help me sleep so I hope I will soon be all better!''

''I hope so! I have to go, I have finished this assignment, see you tomorrow.''

''See you tomorrow'' You said smiling and hung up the phone.

When you looked at the screen you saw you had three missed calls from Jieun.

You quickly called her back.

''So how was the doctor?''

The call went almost the same as before, only Jieun did not believe it was just stress.

''Really just stress?''

''Yeah, it was what the doctor said.'' You replied.

''There was nothing else the doctor said it could be? You told her everything right?''

''Yes.'' You sighed, ''Seriously why do you guys not believe me. ''

''Because it can't be a coincidence that you faint when you look at Yoongi and he just stands there like a zombie when you look at him and then suddenly you have this insomnia and this sudden pain in your ankle.'' You heard her sigh on the other end. ''I can't be just coincidence, plus it would be so cool!''

''You just want to meet BTS.''

''Definitely!'' She said happily ''But still you sure the doctor didn't say anything else?''

You paused for a moment doubting if you should tell her about the half bond thing, you decided not too because it would just give her hope.

''She did say something else!'' Jieun almost yelled.

''No!'' You quickly replied but it was already too late.

''Don't lie, you paused for a moment if she did not say anything else you would immediately have said no.''

'''Fine... You're right, I just didn't want to give you guys any hope.'' You sighed and told her about the half bond thing.

''I knew it!'' Jieun yelled, ''I knew it!''

''Jieun it is extremely rare and she didn't even really said it was an option'' You said empathizing the word extremely.

''But there is a chance!'' She replied, ''Just know I am watching you!''

You sighed. ''Fine, but the sleeping pill will work fine and that's going to be it.''

''We'll see.''

''We'll see'' You replied. ''I am hanging up now I have to work on the assignments.''

''Yeah me too, see you tomorrow!''

''See you tomorrow!''

You hung up the phone and sighed, I really should not have told her. She is definitely going to tell Haneul about this. Sighing you went to the kitchen to make some coffee for you to drink while working on the assignments for the rest of the day.

This chapter is maybe a little bit boring, but the information is important!

I am so surprised that every time I log back on and the views of this story have again increased! I never thought people would actually like something I would write haha.
