"JIMIN!" Mr. Park yelled once again after a few seconds of no response. Footsteps are heard from the stairs, a boy appearing shortly after.
"Yes?" Jimin replies, awaiting the orders his father would give him.
"Make yourself useful for once and go get me a fucking beer," The man snorted, throwing himself on the nearest couch. Jimin leaves to the kitchen, taking a few deep breaths after his sudden scare. He takes out a beer from the fridge and pops it open, heading back to the living room.
"Anything else?" Jimin suggests, his father simply shooing him away with a gesture. The boy leaves back to his room, going back to catch up with Snuggles. It had been years since he had last seen the bear. The last time he had seen him was when Snuggles was ripped away from him after his Mother's funeral with the explanation that he needed to be more manly and not cry. Sure, that was how society was structured, but it was not in the slightest bit fair to say that to a seven-year-old boy who had just lost the one person that actually cared about him.
"Snuggles where are you? I just found you and already misplaced you," Jimin said to himself with a laugh. He moves his pillows one by one, making sure to look carefully. Snuggles finally appears, his little ears giving his hiding spot away. Jimin takes the bear into his arms, and hold it against his chest, the contact somehow being able to replenish his perseverance that was dwindling. He glances at the clock, which now read 2:34 pm, meaning JiHyun was almost here.

"So, how are we going to get the evidence that Jimin finds?" Jungkook questions, looking at his hyung who was busy browsing through his phone. Jin looks up from his phone, thrown off by the sudden question.

"Well, we'll know when we know. I can't exactly say how he will get it to us. I can't even call him because his dad might hear." Jungkook nods, looking down at the floor in disappointment at the complexity that the situation was in. Jin sets his phone down for a moment at the lunch table and reaches his hands out to the younger in front of him. For the day, it was just them two at lunch, as the rest had other things to do.
"Ah, Kookie. I know this is hard for you right now. Although you might now show it, I know you keep your feelings inside and burst out when you just can't hold it in anymore. I'm worried too baby, we all are. But right now all we can do is wait for Jimin to make his move and let us know somehow," The oldest comforts, rubbing the younger's hand. Jungkook looks at his hyung with a soft smile, letting him know that he understood the message. "Okay, so why don't you tell me why you're acting strange with your lover boy hm?" Jin suggests, taking his hands back and now crossing them in an inquiring manner. Jungkook freezes, suddenly being overwhelmed with a feeling of exposure.
"W-what?" The younger asks, trying to avoid the question.
"What's going on with you and Taehyung? I can tell just from your face that something is bothering you, so what is it?" Jin says again, adding a smile at the end to show his sincerity. Jungkook sighs in defeat upset yet glad that his hyung could tell he conflicted with himself.
"I just don't know how to feel," Jungkook admits, making Jin a bit confused about what the context was.
"Feel about what?"

"I found out that Yoongi-hyung and Tae used to date. It was back when Yoongi-hyung was experimenting," Jin's eyebrows raise from the statement, having a sense of shock. "It didn't end well and they agreed to say as friends now but I just don't know why I feel weird."
Jin leans back in his chair, knowing his little baby had been feeling the same way as him. "You know why?" Jin says, Jungkook shaking his head no. "Because you're insecure." Jungkook almost chokes on his water, feeling a sting from the pure bluntness from his hyung.
"Hyung!" Jungkoom protests, patting his face dry with a napkin.
Jin shrugs, smiling at the spilled water. "It's the truth Kookie. I'm just helping you realize it. But the thing is, you don't have to be. Taehyung and Yoongi are in the past. You and Taehyung are now and at the rate, you guys are going, definitely the future as well. Even Yoongi-hyung told me once that he found you guys to be a good couple...well, second to best after Jimin and him," Jin says with a laugh, Jungkook smiling at Yoongi's confidence. "Right now, all you gotta do is trust."
Jungkook nods his head, "I'll try, but on one condition," Jin looks at him in confusion, not seeing the need for a condition to trust.
"What is it?"
"If you try and trust Namjoon-hyung as well."

"Jimin~" A little voice calls out, as the child made their way up the stairs. Little giggles are heard, getting louder and louder until they were just outside the door. "Jimin?" JiHyun calls out as he swings open the door, looking around.

The Elemental Arena
*A Rational-Adjacent litRPG Survival Series.* The time for the trials has come, pitting the mortal species of the galaxy against one another. By completing challenges, clearing dungeons, and defeating rival species, the players may forge themselves stronger and smarter. But only one species will be declared the winner. Earth has finally qualified... ...and participation is mandatory. A twenty-nine year old data entry clerk works together with a group of internationally diverse players to survive. Learning synergistic skills and using teamwork, can humanity achieve an upset? If they don't, their lives are forfeit. Author's note: Chapters will be anywhere from 6k to 10k in words, varying based on the plot beats instead of specific word counts. Realistic actions and teamwork will be important aspects of my story. I'm trying something a little different in writing a realism focused litRPG, hoping to capture the essence of how real people would react to their situation. People are complex and don't always get along. I don't recommend starting the series expecting wish fulfillment tropes just because it's tagged litRPG. It's a survival story with the game settings on Hell difficulty. The plot hasn't gotten there yet, but in the future of the series I want to recreate my nostalgia of forty person raids on Ragnaros, but with the high stakes of boss battles in Sword Art Online. I also love puzzle rooms so expect one of those each book. Warnings: mild PG-rated language, graphic violence and gore, and graphic medical content.
