After dinner, Jungkook helped the maids with washing the dishes while Taehyung went upstairs to finish his homework. The thunder was still rumbling in the air and his windows shuddered from the strong wind raging outside. The boy fiddled with the pencil between his fingers while staring at the equations printed on the paper. He wasn't thinking about mathematics, bur rather about the gardener downstairs.
He didn't want Jungkook to go home in a weather like this, but the storm didn't seen to calm down and the sun had already set. He thought about having a sleepover with Jungkook and giggled at the thought of having a pillow fight with the older. He shook his head and tried focusing back on his homework.
A huge clap of lighting made the boy yelp and dive underneath his desk. He whimpered and pushed himself more into the corner of the little space. Counting the seconds he tried to guess how far away the storm was situated from their house.
Lighting crackled in the air and he started counting.
"One, two, three-"
Thunder rumbled and the boy's expression turned grim. The storm was nearing their house.
The boy wrapped his arms around his body and drew his knees closer to his chin. He really hated bad weather, and especially at night. His father would usually calm him down and stay with him until Taehyung was fast asleep. But his father wouldn't be home until late and-
"Oh no father", he cried out, realizing his father could be caught up in this storm. He shook his head and tried thinking positive thoughts. He was overreacting. It was only a storm. Just some rain and thunder. His father would be alright.
In the meantime Jungkook was done with the dishes and was told to check on Taehyung. The maids knew their young master wasn't too fond of storms and also knew Jungkook was good with caring for the younger.
The gardener knocked on the bedroom door but couldn't hear an answer. He frowned and pushed open the door eventually. He closed it behind him and gazed around the room, trying to find the younger. He wasn't sitting at his desk but his little lamp was illuminating his stacks of homework. As Jungkook made his way over to the desk he finally realized a little figure huddled underneath it, calling out his name softly.

Jungkook crouched down and frowned as he examined the state Taehyung was in.
"What's wrong?", he asked, holding out his hand which Taehyung immediately clutched in both of his hands. Jungkook got the younger out and was surprised when small arms wrapped around his torso.
"I'm scawed", Taehyung spoke with a muffled voice.
Jungkook looked down at the younger who was almost a head smaller than him and smiled.
"There's nothing to be scared of", he replied, hesitantly ruffling the younger's hair. He felt the boy lean into his touch and smiled even wider.
"Jungkook", he mumbled, his cheek pressed against the other's broad chest while fingers ran through his hair. He heard the gardener hum and bit his lip nervously.
"Can you stay tonight? The storm doesn't seem to go away and I'll only be more worried if you leave", he mumbled, staring up at the older through his lashes.
Jungkook thought about this and frowned.
"But I need to sleep", he replied, "And will master want me in his house? I'm only here to take care of things outside of his house".
"You can sleep in my bed", Taehyung responded, a bit desperate to keep the older here, "My father won't mind. Just see it as being my nanny if you want".
Jungkook's frown deepened, "But last time, master said I didn't get paid to be your nanny. I don't think he likes me taking care of you".
Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows now too and sighed, "I don't care what father likes and dislikes. You're staying here. Just see it as an order of the young master".
He stomped his foot a bit childishly to emphasis his words and Jungkook reluctantly complied.
"Yay! But before we go to sleep I still need to finish my homework", Taehyung said and the gardener nodded, "You can read a book or play with my stuffies if you want. I have all the Disney books somewhere here on my shelves!"
The boy quickly ran to his shelves and searched for his Disney collection. After pulling out multiple books he stumbled back to Jungkook and pushed the books into his hands.
"Have fun", he smiled before sitting down in front of his desk.

Jungkook glanced down at the book collection and sat down on the bed before picking out a story. He picked out Beauty and the Beast and started reading the story, surprised he could read it so well. The book was for children so it didn't have difficult words in it or long ass text.
He smiled unknowingly as he imagined himself as the Beast and Taehyung as the Beauty. Taehyung watched Jungkook warily, confused but happy because Jungkook really seemed to enjoy himself.
Taehyung finished his homework in an hour and noticed Jungkook had already read three books in that time. The books were neatly stacked upon a pile and Jungkook was now busy reading Rapunzel.
"I'm ready", Taehyung said, pushing the papers away from him, "Are you sleepy yet?"
Jungkook shrugged and his eyes were again glued to the book.
Taehyung walked over to his closet and pulled out his panda onesie so he'd match with Bamboozled. He skipped over to the bathroom that was across his room to change.
Jungkook on the other hand, finally realized he should be getting ready for bed and placed the books back on the shelves except for the one he still hadn't read.
He pulled off his shirt, at the exact moment Taehyung walked back inside wearing his onesie. He halted in his movements for a moment to admire the man's body. Taehyung tried his best not to stare all the flexing muscles and quickly averted his gaze to the floor before closing the door behind him.
"You match with your stuffed animal", Jungkook spoke up, not realizing the things he was doing to Taehyung's mental health. The younger hummed and quickly dove into bed, trying to ignore the fact Jungkook wasn't going to wear a shirt while sleeping next to him.
He suddenly got a thought while staring at the book Jungkook had placed on the bed.
"Jungkook", he spoke up while the boy hummed, flicking off the lights.
"Can you read me a bedtime story?", he asked, a pout forming on his lips to persuade the older.
Jungkook grabbed the book and laid down next to the younger, opening the book on its first page.
"I-I'm not that good with reading out loud", he responded, hesitating to start telling the story.
"Please Kook", Taehyung mumbled, clutching the bunny stuffie close to his chest. His puppy eyes finally broke the last shreds of Jungkook's insecurity.
"Once upon a time, long, long ago a king and queen ruled over a distant land. The queen was kind and lovely and all the people of the realm adored her. The only sadness in the queen's life was that she wished for a child but did not have one.
One winter day, the queen was doing needle work while gazing out her ebony window at the new fallen snow. A bird flew by the window startling the queen and she pricked her finger. A single drop of blood fell on the snow outside her window. As she looked at the blood on the snow she said to herself, "Oh, how I wish that I had a daughter that had skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as ebony."
Jungkook looked down at the boy and realized he had fallen asleep. Soft puffs of air were released between his plump lips and the gardener smiled at the cute sight of the sleeping panda beside him. He flicked off the bedside table lamp and put the book away before snuggling close to the brunette. He had taken the pacifier off the bedside table too and softly slipped in between the younger's lips, hoping it would help him with sleeping.
Taehyung rolled on his side and found the familiar warmth of the older beside him. He nudged closer and cuddled up to the gardener who was a bit flustered by the action.
"Sleep well Taehyung".

Rise of a Scarlet Devil (Regular+Draft Version)
A young girl slain during a war was brought back to life by some unknown force millennia later. She could only remember a vague face within her memories, uncertain as to who it was but there was one thing she did know. She needed to kill that person. But she was too weak, she needed to hide, to grow. She needed to flee from the battlefield her enemy reigns over. And to do so, she needed to run eastward, towards Helios, a safe haven for those who have lost their homes in the war. And where she would grow to become the strongest Hunter under her own strength. What was it that brought her back? Only time will tell. #Author's Note The novel is organized like this:Regular Chapters (Act, Title, Part (ranging from 1 to 9))Draft Chapter DisclaimerDraft Chapters (Entry Number, Perspective, Title, Part (ranging from i to ii)) Regular chapters are edited chapters that reflect the story aspect more while Draft chapters reflect plot progression more. An occasional interactive chapter will appear in the drafts but nowhere in the regular chapters. Expect changes when reading between Regular and Draft chapters as some events in the story may change in length or entirely removed/changed. Only read the draft version if you want a future view and/or opinion on the story and design elements. The main character is a human from a fantasy world reincarnated as a devil. The story possesses Reincarnators, Transmigrators, and Summoned Persons. though mainly focusing on Magic and other abilities such as Aura and Skills. Wizards (those who prepare arcane spells) and Mages (those who use elemental magic) are separate but seen as the same by common inhabitants of the world but clearly defined as different by more influential persons and by the circles themselves. The main character WILL not be a Mage or Wizard but will incorporate mana into her attacks to aid her as does any high-rank combatants. The system in the novel quantifies a person's abilities and keeps record of them but does not define natural ability, occasionally granting special abilities as skills to a person once prerequisites are met. There is no leveling system and no occupational systems in the novel featuring only a stat based and skill based system. Also, this novel is my first and will most likely be trash.
