I hated P.E.
It was, by far, the worst class I've ever had.
I always felt disgusting, and always had to take a shower. I had just finished one of those showers now when I wrapped a towel around my body. I headed towards where I had left my clothes, but the door creaking open made me stop dead in my tracks.
It had to be a girl, right? Boys weren't...
Guys weren't...
Yikes.
I could only stare dumbly as Chase walked into the locker room. No. No, there was no way he was actually in here. My breath hitched, and my body tensed up.
He took one step inside, and it clicked. This was not Chase. I could tell from the way he walked and the smirk on his face.
This...
This was Spike.
I took a couple steps back, nearly slipping on the wet floor. The smirk on Spike's face made my skin crawl.
"Babe, you should..."
"No. D-Don't tell me to do anything. G-Get out!" I hated the fact that my voice wavered, but it wasn't like I could do anything about it.
He growled, coming closer to me.
"You don't get to tell me what to do and not to do, alright? I could break you."
I inhaled sharply, taking a few steps back as well.
"Chase, this isn't you!" I yelled, harnessing all my courage to slap him across the face. He paused, and for a second I was sure he was going to break me in half.
Or worse.

She looked so helpless.
"Please don't hurt me." She whispered softly, her bottom lip quivering. She was in a towel, and my stomach dropped.
What had Spike done?
"No, no, I'm not going to do anything." I assured her, trying to take a step closer to her. She tensed up, and I felt my heart break.
Spike had done this.
I had done this.
"Spike wants you. He's got eyes for you. We have to be careful."
She nodded, still keeping her distance from me.
Something told me she wasn't sold on the idea of 'we'.
I hated Spike.

"You okay?"
"P-Please, just drive."
"Whatever you say, kiddo."

Divine Progress
Progress is a dubious god. After failing him, three people are banished from modern times and sent to another world. Seemingly out of place, Christoph is snatched from his own time and plunged into a world of violence and magic with no deity to lend him support. Instead, Progress has seen fit to curse him with an eternal hunger for magical energy. Branded as a demon, he must fight for survival while battling the servants of the god who sent him there, struggling against the 'gift' that Progress bestowed upon him and the past he sought to abandon. Can he make his way across the lands and gather enough strength to survive without the blessings of the Divine? Or will the gods bend him to their will, breaking him if he seeks to resist? This is not a short story, and the plot will take many twists and turns before Christoph's journey comes to a close. After all, it is not the destination, but the Progress that matters in the end. Like many other stories on RoyalRoad, this is my first piece. Feedback is more than welcome, so please leave a reply if you have a comment or question.

The Noble's Undead
The noblewoman seeks change. The hunter seeks riches. The undead seeks purpose. When Eliza runs from her noble house to pursue a life of adventure and fails miserably, her life takes a sudden change in direction when she meets a sentient, but mute, undead. Meanwhile the hunter Rorik pursues her, dissatisfied but determined to achieve a better life by claiming her bounty. Three people seeking individual goals that will stir Patriam into war. (High fantasy with three protagonists, one of which is an undead. Expect fantasy action, my weak attempt at humour and medieval politics. This is my first work on RR, so feedback is very much appreciated to let me know what I'm doing right or wrong. Hope ya enjoy.)

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them. If you read this story then you won't lack for content. -- The Topps Company, Inc. has sole ownership of the names, logo, artwork, marks, photographs, sounds, audio, video and/or any proprietary material used in connection with the game Shadowrun.
