《His [COMPLETED]》(49) Happiness

Kyle's point of view.
My eyes cracked open groggily as the light came in through the window.
I groaned as I moved to the side, my back was cracking and my body felt as stiff as a board.
My body felt ruined, I well and truly felt like shit.
The first thought in my mind was Cali and I groaned again as I squeezed my eyes shut. The strong feeling of guilt only worsened the sinking of my heart.
Suddenly, a knock resonated throughout the car and I shot up almost knocking my head against the steering wheel.
"Sorry to bother you, mate, but are you alright?" A man with dark hair and stubble on his chin stood outside of the car looking in. I looked at him sleepily. "Wife troubles?" He asked as he bent forward to look in. I nodded my head but I didn't say a word. Wife troubles, indeed.
"It's alright, mate, go and sort it out, I know what it's like to sleep in the car all night, I pray for all the men out there," he looked to me with a small smile playing on his lips and my lips tugged up into a smile too. My girl was a fiesty one, God love her.
"Cheers, mate," I replied. He left after a couple of seconds and I got my stiff body out of the car, just about.
I breathed in the cold morning air as I shivered in my jacket. Shit it was cold. But I had to see Cali, I hated sleeping out here all night without her. I couldn't sleep knowing she wasn't there.
I pulled myself to the hotel and went up to the second floor. As I stood outside the room, my heart started beating faster. I just didn't want her to leave. I wanted her to say she loved me and take me into her arms or something. Anything but this arguing. I hated it with a passion.
I knew what I did last night, after being with Casey for so long, I shouted at Cali for being with a man who was actually gay anyway. I couldn't do that to her, it just wasn't fair. I was so angry at the time, nobody steals what is mine. I was furious. Over nothing.
I felt like a right dick. She's my wife I should be treating her like one. I had some great making up to do, and I was going to work my balls off for her. I didn't think it would take too long. Hopefully.
I knocked on the door after doing some breathing techniques which to point out didn't really work. I still felt nervous.
Why was I feeling nervous? She was my wife.
I knocked on the door more forcefully. I wanted to see her. I heard movement inside the room and soon, the door opened with a creak.
"Cali-"
"What?" She rubbed her eyes groggily and my heart still beated faster when I saw her, even when her hair was a mess and the mascara half way down her cheeks.
"I'm sorry, I am, please forgive me now, I don't want us to fight," I said as I made my way into the room. I didn't care if she was still angry anymore, we were going to make up whether she felt like she wanted to or not.

Cali looked to me with bewilderment and I was sure she was still waking up.
"Kyle-"
"No, we're going to make up because I don't want to sleep alone again," I hated it. I really did. Cali sighed as she wiped her face with her hands.
"It wasn't pleasant," she huffed again as she looked to me, her bold eyes looking up to mine. She looked like a lost puppy and it hurt more than it should.
"Look, I'm sorry for shouting at you yesterday, I was a dick head,"
"You were," she stated back as she sat on the end of the double bed. I sat down beside her as I looked to my shoes.
"Forgive me?" I looked to her and pushed her hair behind her ear, luckily, she didn't push me away.
"I need answers first,"
"Answers?"
"Don't play dumb with me," she almost snapped in reply. I wasn't playing dumb but I didn't want to reply incase I made her even more angry. "About Casey," I took in a lung full of air. Casey.
"Nothing happened," I promised. I was telling the truth about that.
"Well what happened? You were gone for so long," she asked. I looked to my shoes again.
"She just wanted to speak to me about boy who used to bully her," I replied. I didn't know what else to say. I wasn't lying. It was true.
"Are you holding back on me?" She asked again. I felt interrogated but she was my wife and she was allowed to investigate. The thing I would hate the most was if my wife wasn't jealous, if she didn't care. I was lucky I had Cali in all honesty even when I didn't enjoy the interrogation.
"I'm not," I replied. There wasn't anything else to say, there really wasn't. "If you're trying to get something out of me, love, you're not going to get it. There is nothing to this story," I shrugged my shoulders casually as I lifted my head to look into her eyes.
"So nothing happened?" I shook my head in reply.
"Nothing happened, I promise, just trust me," I stated. She had to trust me. She flopped her self down on the bed and groaned.
"I do," she whined with a long drawl. "I really do but I don't trust her," Cali hissed out. I didn't know whether to love or hate her jealousy, that said, I couldn't help but revel in it. Atleast she cared.
"Throughout everything, Cali, I'm sorry for the way I acted last night, I'm sorry for treating you in such a shitty way, I am, please forgive me," my tone took on a whining tone but I didn't want to stop it. I was almost pleading with her now. She sat back up on the bed and sighed.
"Okay, I forgive you, but I'm not saying sorry and what you did wasn't okay, okay?"
"Okay," I smiled nonetheless. I smiled her way until she had to smile too.
"Don't make me smile when I'm still mad at you," she pointed my way but I couldn't help but chuckle.
"Now tell me you love me," I demanded. Cali rolled her eyes.
"I love you," my heart fluttered and I didn't even care about anything else but my wife. God I loved her.

"Shall we do something fun and teenager-ish today?" I asked as I pulled her onto my lap. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I breathed in her scent.
"Wait, aren't you going to tell me you love me back?" She asked as she pouted against my neck.
"You know I love you, I love love love you," I breathed as I laid my chin on her head.
"Oh, well that's good, don't leave me alone again," I pulled her body back until I was looking at her in disbelief.
"Excuse me?" I let out. "If I'm not mistaken, lady, you were the one who kicked me out of the room, I had to sleep in that God damn car all squished up and cold and alone," I pointed to myself and Cali just bit her lip.
"I was angry, I'm sorry," she pecked my lips and I knew she had me wrapped around her finger.
Whatever she wanted I'd get her. Whatever she needed I'd get her. Whatever she did I'd go along with it. It was just the way it was. How it should be.
"Now back to my original question," I tried to steer Cali's attention to the question at hand.
"Yeah, what have you got in mind?" Cali asked as she got off my lap and made her way to the desk at the end of the room. I watched her move with grace and elegance across the room.
"I don't know, but because we've married, it doesn't seem like we're young you know? So I just thought we could do something teenagers do at this point in life," I stated.
Since we married, it seemed as if we matured too much. We were still young and we were still teenagers or at the peak of it. But we needed to still act like it or being older will become boring and life won't be as fun in few years to come.
I didn't really know what to do, but I'm sure we could think of something.
"Alright, we'll think of something,"
"We've got to be out if here by 12," I stated. Cali was already packing things back into her bag. I got up from the bed and copied her movements.
Once everything was packed I grabbed the two bags and took them to the car.
"I can take my own bag to the car," Cali stated, I only chuckled in reply.
"Well, I've done it now," I replied as I kissed her cheek. I couldn't keep my hands off her at the best of times.
We went back to the hotel room for one last check up, and as we were doing so the door knocked.
Cali went to the door as I continued to look under beds for any of our lost property. I knew we had everything but Cali preferred to be safer than sorry.
"Casey," Cali let out and I could hear the harshness in her voice. I turned around quickly and I saw Casey standing there at our hotel door. Fuck. What is she trying to achieve?
I made my way over to Cali and wrapped my arm around her waist. Casey couldn't just turn up here. What did she even want now?
"I came to see Kyle," just as Cali was about to retaliate, I cut in.
"I can't talk, Casey, I'm taking my wife out and then we are going home, I'm sorry but I spent most of my night with you last night, I think we got through everything then," I replied and I hoped she would get from off my back.
"Kyle, don't be like that," Casey shot back acidly. I felt Cali almost stiffen beside me. I rubbed my thumb across her back hoping to reassure her that she wasn't competition.
"Casey, go, I don't want to talk to you or see you again,"
"We used to be so good together!" She almost shrieked. "We got through everything together!"
"No, no, we were doomed from day one, I didn't love you and there's only one girl I love now and that is Cali," I pulled Cali tighter to my side. Casey laughed harshly.
"We were doomed because you cheated on me, Mr playboy, you shagged every girl from school and others around the neighbour hood, you can't love, you're incapable of it," she stated as she came forward. "Cali, I wouldn't trust him, he's a cheater and a liar and all he cares about is his dick,"
"Get-"
"The joke's on you, Cali, the joke is on you," Casey pointed strongly to Cali and I could feel the anger boiling through my veins. Who did she think she was coming here?
"Get out!" I boomed. "Get out now, Casey, don't mess with me!" I pointed to the open door and Casey just smirked in reply.
"I will, but think about what I said, Cali, and you married him!" She laughed loudly before turning her back and walking to the door frame.
"Don't come back!" I shouted before she slammed the door shut. As soon as the door had slammed, I laid my head in my one hand.
"Cali-"
"Yes?" She replied as she moved from my body. Where was she going? I grabbed her hand and pulled her back to my body.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry she came here," I breathed into her hair. Please don't be mad at me.
"It's okay," Cali sighed. "I know a jealous ex girlfriend when I see one, don't worry, I'm not mad at you," I let out a lungful of air and kissed Cali's forehead.
"What she said was bullshit," I stated. It really was. I wasn't a play boy. I promised Cali that when we had just started out.
"I know, I know," Cali patted my chest before pushing away. "Shall we go then?" I nodded my head and I led her out of the room.
"Things won't always be like this, Cali, we'll have our arguments but I'll make you the happiest wife in the world when we're not arguing," I stated as I smiled her way.
I didn't want her to think that because we were married now, that she would become sad with her life, isolated and trapped.
All I wanted was her happiness, and that's she way it should be.
