《SS Arshi:The bet》part 4

Arnav just burst out laughing. She just glared at him. One of his eyebrows arched in challenge at her glare. But his eyes danced with mischief. Amazingly, she just gave him one of her looks and went to the wardrobe to get her self a shorts and a tee.
"I'll order take out. Chinese good for you" he announced.
"You just read my mind"
After a few minutes he was behind her pulling her close.
Khushi grinned. His strong arms surrounded her. As they waited for their food, they sat comfortably on her bed whispering sweet nothing's to each other.
Before she could ask what he had ordered, a knock sounded on the door. "I guess the food has arrived"
"Did you order the entire menu? There is too much food in here" she asked incredulously
"I was hungry" He sat down and pulled her onto to his lap.
He took the stir fry from the carton and started feeding her. As she took a bite from the fork his other hand was slowly caressed her back. By the time they were done with the food it was too late for arnav to leave/
The sound of her mobile ringing drewng khushi from a warm half sleep on top of arnav's chest.
God, what was it about phone and tonight. Khushi looked at the clock and it was half passed two in the morning. Din't late night calls always deliver bad news? Her heart was hammering at the thought of someone being hurt in her family. She crawled across arnav and grabbed her mobile.
Khushii frowned as she looked at the caller id. She punched the talk button, "This is khushii, here"
"Khushi" a voice whispered. "It's lavnaya"
Lavanya? Why was she calling at this hour? She turned away from arnav. "Hi, lavnaya. What is wrong?"

"Nothing. I just…."
Khushi wasn't sure what was going on. From the few conversations she'd had with lavanaya she knew that the groupie knew a lot of things that was happening between the players.
Khushi, I need to tell you something. Something really big. This could hurt some of the players" she said.
Khushii was not into getting information about the team from groupies like lavanya but something told her to listen to what this girl was telling her.
"Okay! Why don't we meet in the morning and we can talk" khushi said buying time to put her thoughts together.
"No! Tonight!" her voice held conviction and there was a stubborn sound to it.
"o.k..Name the place" After getting directions and noting down the place she threw the pen down and replaced her cell. She hurriedly went to her wardrobe to change.
"Meeting someone in the middle of the night is very dangerous"
Khushi found arnav already standing up and getting dressed. He stared at her. "you are meeting lavanya in the middle of the night to get story"
"No. Not a story. I am going to listen to what she has to say before I print anything" she said evenly.
He crossed his arms and his stance was aggressive. "Groupies are trouble and lavanya is a bigger trouble"
"Lavanya is nice"
"Khushi, lavanyaa is trouble. Walk away from this"
"I can't do that. I have to give her a fair chance and listen to what she has to say"
"You can't or you won't do it"
"Arnav….."
"If you post anything without any backing you will not get any interview from any of the team members" arnav said
"Are you threatening me?"
"No! Saying as it is"
Khushii looked at him."O.K. Here's a compromise. Why don't you drive me to meet up with her? And I will talk and you can have a seat close by" she said placating him.
He din't even respond. He dressed himself and walked towards the door. Khushi was starring at him.
He opened the door and glanced back at her. "Are you coming or not?" he said with a smile

Cast Under Ellitis
Ellitis, a world of sword and magic. Massive in size, with most of its surface unexplored. Where dragons and spirits dwell amongst men and demi-humans, where gods and devils alike barter with mortals and immortals. Beautiful as it might seem, mystical even, Ellitis is not a world for the frail. It is a place where the strong prey upon the weak, and where the weak struggle with every fiber of their being to overthrow the strong. It is here, in an unsuspecting corner of this world, that an unfortunate soul was born an orphan by the mischief of beings untold. Eliot Wyon, formerly known as Eliot Alderman, was just a mediocre engineering student in his past life. Perhaps without any help, this life of his will be just as boring as his last. But throw in an impish ex-goddess to help him along. Maybe, just maybe, he could make this life a bit more interesting. ----------------------------------------**Author's Note**---------------------------------------- Hello Everyone, I am Vi, Cat Vi. This is my first attempt at writing a story. I am a complete beginner at this. The closest thing to an organized story I’ve ever written is essay reports back in high school. There might be syntax errors and weird language all over the place. So, apologies in advance. I’ll be trying my best to make this story as interesting as possible, and with your feedback I am sure I can make something nice out of it. Constructive criticism is appreciated. And you are welcome to comment any errors you might notice. I’ll try to fix them up as soon as I can. For now, I don’t have a schedule. But if the story gets traction, I will try to work something out. **Cover Image Drawn by me.
