Arnav woke up to the ringing of his telephone. He picked up the receiver.
"Have you seen "The times of India" yet?
It was his agent. "No" Instantly alert, arnav sat up straight. Please let it be not about my wrist "Should I be excited about it"
"Oh! Yes" his agent said. "You have to, awesome stuff about you on this one. Check it out"
Arnav threw the blanket and headed straight for the paper khushi had done a expose on him and it portrayed him as sensitive and awesome batsman.
No mention of his wrist. He was relieved.
This gave him the perfect opportunity to call and make a move on khushii. Several ideas came to his mind but he analyzed each one and discarded them. He would soon show that pup yuva who was man enough for khushi.
khushii's editor was so impressed that he asked her to do more columns on other players on the team. It was her time. She was going to find the story behind every teeny-weeny bit of towel in the locker room. Even, if she was not going to remove any of them.
It was Friday and she would be seeing arnav again at the game. She would see his reaction to her article. She could not stop herself from fantasizing about arnav and his towel. He was predominantly on her mind from the time she had seen him.
He stayed on her mind far too much.
As she contemplated questions for next column tonight the phone on her desk began to ring.
"This is khushi gupta - Times of India"
"This is the Star of your first column"
"Arnav!"
"One and the same, You left some unanswered questions on your article. You owe it to your readers to find out"
She frowned "What unanswered question?"
"Who is the real me? You left that part out"
"Oh! Really! I thought you never wanted your private inner man to be revealed?"
"It depends on who wants to know!"
"Are you giving me an exclusive?"
"Yes! After the game at the Club, strictly business"
Why was he trying to give her an interview? Something was definitely fishy!
She would not let herself be seduced by arnav singh raizada. He was for her dreams only but in reality he was just another player.
And that was that.
She prayed and hoped.
Several hours later khushi had a nice little chat session with the groupies who always hung around the players. She had learnt a lot.

She had hit it off with one of the groupies. Her name was lavanya and she had spilled the beans on some of the most interesting players on the team.
After the game, arnav leaned against the bar anticipating the arrival of khushi Truth be told he had only come here because of khushi His mission tonight was to win the bet and get khushi into his bed or any bed for that matter.
He would have well stayed at home and taken care of the wrist that hurt and not be bothered with shyam breathing down his neck for some tidbits.
The tension and frustration of anybody finding out about his injury and informing the selection committee had him on edge. He wanted a gal now the perfect lady to give him what he needed was khushi.
She stood in the doorway looking for arnav. The club was impossibly crowded. Not even a single inch to move around. Swallowing her apprehension she looked for arnav. Just as she was looking for arnav one of the drunken girls spilled a glass of alcohol even before she could side step it.
"Damn! Are you o.k?" a familiar voice said from the back.
"I am fine" she said. "Just wet" her cheeks warmed. She hoped arnav din't catch the double meaning behind the words.
Arnavv grinned "Let's get u to the bathroom"
"Thanks" She said.
After she had cleaned up she found arnav waiting outside the bathroom. He was leaning against the wall as soon as he saw her he straightened up and walked towards her.
"You look good" he said.
Arnav navigated them to a corner booth. "Thanks for navigating! Size does make a difference," she said, and then realizing the innuendo behind her words she felt her cheeks warm. Second time in a row she had said something that had double entreaty behind it.
Afraid, arnav will notice the attraction she lowered her lashes. Before she could get back her nerves, arnav pulled her close. He leaned down, his mouth next to her ear, his breath warm on her neck. "Traffic, Once again," he said. "You were almost trampled.
Being pressed this close to arnav it was nothing less than explosive. Arnav's leg was resting against hers. A shiver ran down her spine and she wished arnav would caress her.
Her throat was dry and anything she might have said was interrupted by a voice, "Hey khushi, I did not know that you come to these parties"

Khushii turned to see lavanya who was standing besides her. "Why to you join me and the girls?"
This was the perfect escape. Khushi wanted to step away from arnav for a minute and cool of her overactive libido.
"Sure" khushi said.
"Excellent! Let me get you a drink" saying lavanya went off to get khushi and herself a drink.
Arnav just raised his eyebrows and looked her. "So, you want to hang out with a bunch of girls?"
Khushi was about to respond when lavnyaa returned. "The line is too long to get a drink"
"Khushi, I think you are still not ready?"
Ready?? For him?
"For the interview" he said with a half smile. "Let me know when you are ready?" so saying he walked away to join his friends.
She felt her cheeks turn crimson. "The interview" that's what he is talking about. Trying to compose herself she said, "Give me a few minutes, I will talk to the group and we can have our interview"
"Whenever you are ready?" so saying arnav walked out.
Khushi sat with lavnaya and her set of groupie friends as they were chatting about each player. Khushi could understand the adoration these girls had for those players. She wanted to put them in perspective but she herself had a difficult time trying to keep arnav singh raizada out of her thoughts
God, she was in deep deep trouble. Arnav singh raizàda dominated her thoughts. He had gotten to her. She had to exercise caution when it came to this guy.
As she sat sipping her drink, she heard arnav whisper in her ear. "Would like to dance with me?"
Khushi looked at him startled. "You owe me an interview"
"Who said we cannot dance and have the interview at the same time" saying he pulled her out of the seat and onto the dance floor.
As she walked with him onto the dance floor, she saw Yuva starring at them from across the dance floor.
"What is wrong with him?" she asked.
"I can't hear you" arnav answered
They moved to a corner spot on the dance floor and she tiptoed and asked the question close to his ears.
One of his hands was on her back and he pulled her closer, "what did you say?"
"Behave! Arnav" saying she tried to ease away from his hold. But as he bend closer to her she lost herself in his powerful hands.
"Behaving is totally overrated" he said finally and the silence that was binding them was suddenly broken.
She moved away from arnav. She did not know what to say to him. Her emotions were in turmoil and she did not know how to express it so she started walking out of the there.
Arnav tried to stop her by holding her arms. "I need to go arnav please leave my hand"
"Please don't go. Let me get you a drink"
The please got to her. "But no more moves to get me into your bed. I know all your moves Mr. Arnav singh raizada"
"I'll stay. But I need a real interview this time around" she reiterated.
"Sure" he replied. As she was contemplating his answer she decided that she had enough for one day and she wanted to postpone the interview for another time. She needed to regroup and get her mental bearings together. Around him, she realized that she acted like a yo-yo sometime she wanted him close and at time she just wanted to get far away from him as possible. Arnav posed a dangerous threat to her equilibrium.
"I need to leave and get back to my apartment" She said facing him. "I am not prepared for this interview. I need to think through the questions" khushi said. It was the lamest excuse she could come up with. Her cheeks were burning.
Arnav looked at her. "I'll walk you to your car" before she could even reply he was walking towards the exit.
Great! This was just great! She had just invited the guy who she wanted to get rid off to a dark parking lot outside.
Stupidity! Utter Stupidity.
She needed to get rid off the guy not get herself more attached to him. But she was slowing losing the battle to let go of him. As soon as he comes outside she decided she will bid a quick adieu and be on her way to her apartment.
As arnav walked her to her car, she rehearsed what she was going to say in her mind. He was walking so closely that her mind was turning to mush.
"Khushi"
"Will you stop doing that?" she snapped startled
"Stop What?"
Being Mr.Sexaholic. "Stop startling me" she said instead.

A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.
